Don't dash through the snow now! There's decorating to be done! Name: Sven Personality Blurb: Carrots. If it was possible for food to be a personality, Sven's would simply be called: Carrots. Usually the Papa Bear of the friend group, always begrudgingly judging the silliness of others, Sven can easily be swayed to look the other way or join in the merriment with a simple offer of carrots. He will do or say anything you need him to if you're offering his favorite food, almost even to a fault. He can't help it he's always hungry! But when not being bribed by the orange delicious sticks, Sven is a loyal, friendly, warm hug. How do They Decorate the Tree? (aka Story): Winter was Sven's favorite season, and mostly due to the mountains of snow that would fall, blanketing the trees and grass in the most beautiful white landscape ever! And with the snow came Christmas, and with Christmas came decorating the tree. Everyone pitched it make it as big and full and beautiful as possible, and everyone's ideas were so different! Sven usually teamed up with the small squirrels and raccoons, who would run up and down his antlers to reach the taller parts of the tree, and they'd decorate with nuts and berries - anything they could find! When the tradition first started, Sven didn't have as many playmates or as big of a community, so his trees were usually just decorated up to where his mouth could reach, in nothing but half-eaten carrots. And then as the days passed those trees would get emptier and emptier, and his belly fuller and fuller. Now the trees had all sorts of wonderful things, and his friends were there to help! Of course they'd still have to remind him that the trees were to stay decorated until after Christmas, but...hey, he could always get more!

It's about to look a lot like the holidays! Name: Olaf (It would seem strange to name him something else) Personality Blurb:capped at 100 words A favorite childhood memory personified. Just because your icy doesn't mean you can't be warm. He might be covering some deep insecurities about his own worth, but he never questions yours. Delightfully cheery although sometimes oblivious, he tries his best. How do They Decorate the Tree? (aka Story):capped at 200 words
Olaf really didn't know a lot about Christmas, but he knew a good deal about holiday cheer. His friends had decorated him with love and care, so he felt that a Christmas tree should probably be done in the same way.
Quietly humming, he selected a puny tree about his own size. It wasn't full and it didn't have a lot of limbs, but it did have heart. He could feel it. He talked incessantly to the tree as he placed a few orange peels as garland. The friendly little squirrels kept undecorating the tree though by eating his small ornamentation.
Next he tried placing some wooden toys and carrots on the tree. Olaf knew that these wouldn't stay on the tree long either, but he figured the best ornaments doubled as gifts. With a small buttony smile, he watched the caribou coming to eat and smiled. He could always decorate again tomorrow.
I won an event pet, please remove me from the Olaf entry!
But I'm the tree! Name: Caradoc (means "dearly loved" ) Personality Blurb: Caradoc is playful and laid back. He's also a little bit vain, and addicted to shiny baubles. He takes care of his mane and tail, and enjoys having ornamental things adorning his body, mane, and tail. Once adorned, he likes to prance around and show off to anyone who will stop long enough to view him in all his glory. In his free time, he likes to wander between areas and herds looking for things he might be able to turn into new baubles to decorate himself with. How do They Decorate the...Tre—Themselves? (aka Story): Caradoc looked at the design he had created with pride. Now came the hard part: getting it on his mane the same way he had it laid out on the ground. Reaching down, he grabbed his braid in his teeth before lining up his mane with his art made of baubles. Careful to keep his mane straight, Caradoc knelt and teetered over onto his side before dragging his mane up to make the ornaments catch.
Now the next challenge was getting up and still keeping it intact. "Right. This was smart, Caradoc," he grumbled to himself. Well, all he could really do was get up.
One...
Two...
Three!
Caradoc heaved himself to his hooves and resisted the urge to shake himself before making his way to the river where he could see his handiwork.
After some deliberation, Caradoc deemed himself perfect and went in search of someone to show off to.
Winter is here! Let us decorate with joyous cheer! Name: Dora Boreas (means "gift of the north wind" ) Personality Blurb: Dora considers herself a trickster, though her "tricks" tend to be mild and more playful than anything. She loves to laugh and loves to play with other like-minded ponies. That said, she does have a temper and can get quite vengeful when she's angry. Her memory, however, is short, and most things are forgiven or forgotten before long. How do They Decorate the Tree? (aka Story): Dora hummed as she decorated her tree. The thing was taller than she was, and it was a good thing that she had wings otherwise this tree would only get half decorated. At this point, she had scattered ornaments in varying shades of blue, white, and silver all over her tree. Stepping back to look at it, she felt disappointed. Something was missing... but what?
She sighed and plopped down onto her rump, powdery snow sparkling around her from the impact. It looked so pretty...
Oh! That was it!
A whinny of happiness could be heard as she hopped back up and zipped this way and that, looking for the perfect thing to accomplish the vision in her head.
Finally finding the tinsel she had tucked away for some now forgotten reason, Dora found the end of the tinsel strand and trotted happily back to her tree. Launching into the air, she sighed as the pleasant cold wind caressed the feathers of her wings.
Starting at the top, she draped the tinsel around the tree until the whole thing sparkled and shimmered in the fading winter sun.
"Perfect," she breathed, admiring her work.
Don't dash through the snow now! There's decorating to be done! Name: Sven Personality Blurb: Sven is a loyal companion through and through. Once he's given his loyalty to a Soquili, he'll do anything to make sure he never lets them down. He will always be there for them through thick and thin.
That said, he's not the brightest bulb in the flower bed. He tends to be food focused and adores carrots. If there's food around, it's harder for him to focus. How do They Decorate the Tree? (aka Story): Sven plopped his butt down on the ground and looked up at the tree that his friends were busy decorating. He had been helping for hours, and now he was just tired.
Tired and hungry. He could really use a snack... A scent caught his nose and had him getting back up and finding where the deliciousness was coming from. A flash of orange caught his eye and his mouth watered. Carrots! Someone was decorating the tree with them!
Oh, no. That was not a good use for carrots... They were much more suited to life in his belly. And he was going to help them! Sticking his head into the basket that held the carrots, Sven came up with two in his mouth and crunched down on them. He happily ate what was in the basket, which turned out to only be five carrots. Still his belly rumbled. He really shouldn't take the ones that are already on the tree... But they looked so delicious...
He inched closer to the tree, stretching his neck out.. Only to sniff them, he promised! Maybe just a tiny bite... His teeth gently bit down on the end of a carrot...
"Sven, no!"

But I'm the tree! Name: Wanderer Personality Blurb: Ever-changing. Wanderer does what his name implies. He wanders. No herd has ever been able to "tie" him down. No Kawani native has ever been lucky enough to win his heart. No familiar has been the lucky recipient of his choice to bond. He is as timeless as the land itself. It is perhaps the loneliest journey. Is it by choice or is there something else at work? One is left to wonder. He interacts but never commits to anything. Memories of the past - locked away even from himself. Wanderer brings joy in his return but sorrow as well. How do They Decorate the...Tre—Themselves? (aka Story): He frets. Wanderer knows that the village of Kawani natives nearby are expecting his arrival. He recognises most of the two-leggers by sight nowadays. They always feed him the sweetest treats; hoping beyond hope that this may be the year that he chooses to stay. Their efforts are in vain. Something whispers deep inside that he is not meant to be a kept Soquili. His hooves drag free of the drifted snow and he shivers. The motion keeps the biting winds at bay and he pushes onward.
His mane and tail are in disarray. His coat is not in pristine condition. But Wanderer knows that the two-leggers will dress him to impress. He is their guest of honour for the short time that he remains on site. Precious hand-crafted balls will adorn his mane. Strings of polished shells will be draped over his body. The pride of the villagers will be on full display. For he is their living canvas. Their masterpiece. They will gather around and sing joyously into the night. His own voice trumpets along. By the time dawn arrives - he will be gone. Memories will have been made once again for that is the legacy he brings.
Winter is here! Let us decorate with joyous cheer! Name: Amihan Tuulikki Personality Blurb: Playful and capricious, Ami loves to run off the edge of small hills to 'soar on the wind', or at least glide in happy loops back to land. She tends to play small practical jokes on her friends, something that is unexpected and funny but nothing cruel. And she adores the cold weather, the freshness of the air, the crunch of snow underhoof, and spends a lot of time in the north or in mountains to keep to chiller weather when she can. How do They Decorate the Tree? (aka Story): Amihan giggles as she runs off the nearby hill with an ornament in her mouth. She picked a tall, full pine earlier for her decorating attention and then waited for the wind to be right. She's been jumping and gliding to it and as around it as she can manage with ornaments for a few hours now. The side towards the hill is liberally festooned with bright shinny balls and bells. Sometimes a bit clumped together. The downhill side . . . the bottom is festive at least. But she grins seeing it's beauty anyway. The last few shiny balls she's just doing her best to fling at the backside and hope they stay as she glides by. Her friends would be surprised when they trudged by to the bonfire gathering later. She couldn't wait to hide and watch their faces when they saw such a brilliantly decorated tree.
But I'm the tree! Name: Oren Arnviðr Personality Blurb: Oren is gregarious and cheerful. He loves talking and laughing with friends. And he really enjoys doing special things for others. Sometimes he makes them small gifts, other times he just brings them something shinny to elicit a smile. And always he's happy to chat or tell stories. How do They Decorate the...Tre—Themselves? (aka Story): Oren had so much fun decorating for the season. Bright red and gold balls, strands of popcorn and a few bells. He was able to reach the top with his strong wings, adding balls and bells and munching on popcorn strands. He had so many ornaments he added a few to his mane and tail as he liberally festooned a great tree in the center of a clearing, and ate more popcorn strand. Now was time for the garland, just need to spiral it around the tree and . . . why was it so short? He'd been popping the corn all morning, stranding it on the string to make a garland long enough to liberally wrap around the huge pine. But now there was barely enough left to go around once! He winced. The snack was so good he'd forgotten he wasn't supposed to eat it! Well . . . there was just enough left for a few loops around his tail and some strands in his mane. It wasn't on a real tree, but he thought he looked quite striking with the ornaments and garland.

Winter is here! Let us decorate with joyous cheer! Name: Qebui (Egyptian god of the north winds) Personality Blurb: Qebui was a quiet pony. She wanted to make friends, but often found it difficult. It was hard to make friends when others ran from her cold winds. It wasn't that she wanted to bring the harshness of winter to the land. Winter was vital and important to the renewal of the land. Plus there were fun things one could do only during winter. Qebui loved to observe the others playing their snow games. Sometimes she would even play them herself; while fun, it wasn't nearly as much fun as playing it with others seemed.
How do They Decorate the Tree? (aka Story): Qebui was steadily walking along to spread her north winds. She stopped as she came upon a tree. One that had been partially decorated. Judging by the height of the ornaments placed, it had probably been done by a group of foals. It was a valiant effort, but most of the tree remained bare. Qebui eyed up the tree then smiled. She would help.
She summoned her north wind, swirling the cold wind around her. "Go," she whispered. It took one more turn around her and then drifted over to the tree. Ornaments, and ribbons, and strings of acorns lifted from the lower branches delicately and deposited themselves higher up the tree. Qebui directed it until the entire tree was beautifully decorated. She wondered if the foals would recognize it when they returned the following day.
With that, she continued upon her way. The north wind drifting behind her and erasing her tracks leaving no trace.
But I'm the tree! Name: Nico Personality Blurb: Nico is someone who can be relied on in every regard. When he commits, he makes it a point to follow through. If someone is having difficulty, Nico will always extend his aid but makes it a point to not thrust himself into something unless he is called upon. He is not without his downfalls, though, considering just how slothful he can be. Nico appreciates a relaxing day, maybe too much, as he can be spotted lazing about in the sunlight as much as he can. It is the peacefulness of it that attracts him most.
How do They Decorate the...Tre—Themselves? (aka Story):
There was lively energy to the day - Nico could feel it. There were Soquili and familiars alike rushing around, carrying wreaths and trinkets, squeaking and merriment filling the air. Light snow had fallen the night before, leaving white upon the green grass. It had grown colder the past week; the proper start of winter was here. Nico smiled - he truly relished this time of year. His awareness shifted as he heard a small gasp. A foal stood very near him, staring at him with unfettered joy. "You look like a Christmas tree!" The filly was beside themselves with glee. Nico let out a chuckle and swung his head to look at himself. He was indeed a gilded green color with golden lines of brilliance. "You may be very right, little one. What of it?" He asked. Only then did he note a raccoon dangling a golden ball in his long tail.
Uh oh... He could already see where this was going!
He looked at the foal again, saw their eyes alight with eagerness. "Can... Can we?" They said, apprehensive about his reaction. How could he turn down such an innocent gaze? "Fine, fine, fine. Just... no legs!" He said.

But I'm the tree! Name: "Sparky" Griswold Personality Blurb: Sparky Griswold is the most recent in a long line of Griswolds that dedicate their lives to spreading joy and holiday cheer for all creatures. He's fun and funny, sometimes a little over the top, but it's all in service of the season - he works hard so that by the time December rolls around, everyone can relax, laugh, and enjoy themselves. That's what the real gift is. How do They Decorate the...Tre—Themselves? (aka Story): There are two kinds of visitors to Gris' little corner of the world: the people who come with expectations and the people who don't. He loves them both, of course, but he especially loves the surprise and wonder on the faces who didn't realize that when they bring a gift, they take away a gift as well.
For as long as there had been Griswolds, they have maintained a tradition - they create ornaments and decorations for all of their visitors, and accept the same from the people who come to visit. Every year, Sparky chooses his holiday theme; sometimes red and gold, or all white, or all wooden or one year it was even all pink, but no matter the style, it ends the same, with Sparky slowly giving away the ornaments he makes as gifts, and slowly piling up ornaments people have brought him. Some go in his hair, some he collects, and others - the most beautiful - Sparky keeps, and saves, until he finds the next person deserving of all the beauty the season has to offer.
But I'm the tree! Name: Yggdrasil Personality Blurb: Fun, regal, pleasant, proud; and very wild and primal at times, Yggdrasil is best described as chaotic at worst of times and rambunctious, regal or not, at his best. How do They Decorate the...Tre—Themselves? (aka Story):capped at 200 words There they were.
Yggdrasil was not an evil Soquili, nor truly hateful; but he was primal and prepared to take what he wished, for it was matter of strength that ruled, not meekness. As he stalked, he watched the smaller Soquili, a plump little lady bearing trinkets and goods to trade - pass down the path, and after several minutes, he flashed a toothsome smile, charging from the thicket to 'attack'.
Honor forbade him from actively harming her - he didn't want ALL the goodies nor attacked by local herds - but he did ultimately snatch trinkets. Baubles.
Ytophies.
Yggdrasil puffed proudly, soon beginning to dress himself in the trinkets and baubles -- garland, baubles, all manner of things befitting a regal stallion such as he, and he at last stretched and moved to trot away, bells tinkling as he passed, smugly, into the deep, black, forest, leaving only prints and fright behind.

Winter is here! Let us decorate with joyous cheer! Name: Boreas Caelestis Personality Blurb:capped at 100 words Fleeting and silent just like wind and his name sake, Boreas is one exclusive creature to find but he will never turn down a companion of a friendly creature. Boreas is always fluttering from one place to next, a forever nomad at soul so he never really settled down because he gotta follow the winds. Amicable and altruistic, Boreas will always go out of his way to help others but if he feels like he’s being disrespected.. Just like wind, he’s gone.
How do They Decorate the Tree? (aka Story):capped at 200 words Every year, this little male would glide down from the mountains with wintery decorations all haphazardly tied up in a small pouch that is hanging from his mouth that he have spent good chunk of Autumn searching and hunting for perfect things to drape over the Yule tree. His translucent wings spread out as he spotted the tree standing tall and proud in the center of the clearing and his eyes glowed with the joy of being part of this wondrous celebration that brings all of creatures to this spot just for this moon cycle to celebrate.
His eyes dances all over the tree while dropping the pouch to the ground, resulting into his “decorations” being splayed around and he gingerly picked up a string of spruce with some cones attached to it by sap (took him a few efforts before he perfected the garland). After a few rounds of him flying up to each section of tree, draping garlands and shiny gemstones around the tree, he lands in front of the tree with his chest puffed out proudly. Another year, another tree decorated! Boreas smiles to himself as he flutters off to find other trees to help decorate.

But I'm the tree! Name: Bor Personality Blurb: A silent and gentle giant, Bor spends his days alone. He lives in the mountains, observing all the time. He yearns for company but struggles with leaving his home. He is afraid to leave, so he stays and watches. The holidays are his favourite time of the year for it is at this time he is noticed by others. The fleeting moments of the holidays are over too soon; however, these moments as the smaller animals' tree fill Bor with great joy and purpose. When he is feeling sad or lonely, he closes his eyes and remembers the holidays fondly. How do They Decorate the...Tre—Themselves? (aka Story): He stumbled in his excitement, baubles, strings, and lights bouncing off of him and rolling along the snow. Bor pushed them tenderly, leaving his cave. He looked down and nervously smiled at the smaller animals. His heart beat rapidly, as it always did when he encountered them. He dreamed of this moment all year long and yet he fretted over it, worrying about whether or not this would be the year when they didn't come again. The white horse with the carrot nose and cheery attitude, the blue alicorn with her gentle touches and wispy hair, and the kind caribou with his love of carrots were the closest things Bor had to friends. He adored them and wished he could see them more. However, he never voiced these thoughts aloud for he worried they would say no.
It was better, he supposed, to dream and hope than to ask and be rejected. He didn't speak, instead he nosed at his missing baubles, string, and lights to his companions. They eagerly joined him and assisted him with his look. They sang joyous songs and brought over tasty trees as they spruced Bor up. His smile grew, the animals smiled in return.

But I'm the tree! Name: Tolle Personality Blurb:
A gentle sort, Tolle is no warrior. If it had not been for the circumstances of his birth, he would have been best suited as one of the tribe's singers and storytellers. When he is not fulfilling his duties, he can be found composing songs and singing old tales by the fire.
How do They Decorate the...Tre—Themselves? (aka Story):
Tolle is a prince in a Northern tribe which is in an eternal winter. A hardy and cheerful group of ponies and creatures, the past few seasons they've been haunted by a cursed walker, an enormous white bear that prowls their borders. Recently, the King set out to defeat the bear, and disappeared.
When the winter is deepest and darkest, the tribe gathers in a bright ceremony of lights, gifting, and celebration. They also offer their blessings and requests to the leader for the new year. They each hang an ornament on the King and tell him their petitions. He carries these with him as promises, and only when they are resolved can an ornament be removed. He works throughout the year to empty his mane and tail in time for new requests.
This year, with the King still missing, Tolle must take his Father's place and hear the tribe's hopes. But Tolle has his own ornament to hang. The cursed walker is his dear childhood friend, and he resolves to do whatever it takes to save him.
Winter is here! Let us decorate with joyous cheer! Name: Alaskan Chill Personality Blurb:Alaskan Chill has all the chill. She thinks she is a ghost. A mischievous ghost. She likes to play pranks on people she comes across and think that she's invisible unless she allows someone to see her. False beliefs, of course. Other than that small quirk, she tries to be pleasant. Cause unpleasant dead ponies are poltergeists. And she is terrified of those. How do They Decorate the Tree? (aka Story):Alaskan chill doesn't remember being alive. She was certain she had been born, though. And she was certain her time had passed. But she only remembered the now. So that was what she focused on. And now was a small percentage of time that never ended. But her current now contained a small cave and inside that small cave was an even smaller shrub that Alaskan Chill had decided was a Holiday Tree. It was really a small evergreen shrub but you couldnt tell her that.
Now, on this tree, this simple little wind flavoured pony had placed all manner of berries and small trinkets, like heart shaped bough of holly, a star rock, a small amount of feathers, and of course some pleasant icicles she had found on the lip of the cave this holiday season.
Now, her tree wasn't the largest. Nor was it the brightest. But she had decorated it herself and was super proud. And if a random pony wandered by her small, drafty cave, they would see the spirit of christmas in it's finest form as she danced around her tree and sang until the morning light.

But I'm the tree! Name: Juletræ Personality Blurb: A quiet, old soul who is a hermit and only enjoys the company of woodland critters. Though he is wary of outsiders, he is always kind and welcoming to his part of the woods, offering strangers a guiding hand (hoof) to get them on their way. How do They Decorate the...Tre—Themselves? (aka Story): Juletræ's mane and head was used to the small feet of birds at they rested on him and the pitter patter of small feet around his legs of rabbits and squirrels. Today however the little critters wanted to celebrate - and he was always inclined to give them what they wanted. They placed all manners of decor in his mane & tail, whatever they could reach. Juletræ made sure to stay extra still to make sure everyone got a chance to decorate.

But I'm the tree! Name: Lunadriel Personality Blurb:Conifer is joyful and boisterous. Can be a little forgetful and tends to repeat himself. That's okay! At least he's happy to share his stories, even if he tells them more than once. How do They Decorate the...Tre—Themselves? (aka Story):"Gather round good fellows, and I'll tell you the story of how these decorations came to be! Ho-ho-ho!" gives a chuckle, and spaces out for a moment. "Greetings! Please, gather round and I'll tell you the story of how these decorations came to be! Did I say that already? Ho-ho! Then let's get started!" Adjusts his wings, and gets comfortable. "Every year, when the holidays draw near, little elves appear, to decorate my rear! And the rest of me too! Ho-ho-hoooo!" he laughs with a boom, as his bangs cover his eyes. "Seriously though, I take a nap, and wake up like this all the same! I don't have to do anything! Imagine it?! Laying down in the warm sun, and then waking up to---" Gestures to himself. "---this!" he booms a laugh again. "I go to sleep for an afternoon nap, and I wake up like this!" he echoes, repeating himself once more. "I do say, I think it's elves!" Really, his friends help decorate him each year. Depending on his mood, he'll tell you it's elves, or some other fanciful tale.
