A bunch of little senshi and knights out to play...how amusing. It was only made more so by the fact their little gathering had been found out about and was being ambushed by them. A smile tugged at the General's lips as the petite figure made his own appearance on the roof top. A glance given to those running things before he looked towards the cat. "It seems I'm not late - good." Nodding his head as he spoke.

"Someone else decided to join me as well." Nodding to the cat draped across his shoulders, slender body acting like a living scarf of sorts. "Katya, you can handle yourself." And he was sure she could, she wasn't some cat that would be pushed about. He wasn't going to make her seem weak anyway, cat or not, she was a member of the Negaverse.

"The lights are out....their doing?" He questioned to whomever felt like answering him, nodding as he spoke towards the field below. Some others were down there already and he could feel the senshi and knights - he needed to get down there. He hadn't been involved in a good fight in a while...and this was going to be good.

Her General had told her about the ambush that was being planned - it was good. The idea was good, very good, and Katya had at first been unsure if she would be able to join Benitoite, she had planned that nght to go out looking for more potential senshi which she could help corrupt. But as the sun went down she had decided to join him when he left, she couldn't let him go on his own. It sounded like it would be a good night...and maybe someone would change sides that night- she could hope.

As she lay draped across his shoulders when they arrived, teleporting was still a bit off balancing for her, the cat took a moment to look around and take in what was going on.

"Of course I can handle myself. I'm more than capable." And she liked to think she was, because most of the time she could handle herself.

Jumping down from his shoulders she went to see the other guardian cat...one she didn't know. "And you are?" Tail swaying as she looked up at the other cat.

Aletheia

Aletheia couldn't help but cross her arms and arch a brow as the soccer field went dark. Really? Did they think they could use that as a way to hide? It was almost as smart as a toddler hiding behind a curtain during a game of hide and seek. They'd probably have had a better chance if they'd just turned tail and ran.

Still, it was an effective way to make it hard for her to pick out her target. She found herself squinting and leaning slightly forward, but the faces she could see so clearly moments before were well obscured in the dark. Fricker-frackers. Maybe shutting the lights wasn't such a stupid idea after all?

She crinkled her nose in frustration, before noticing someone hurrying towards the field. Well, well, did someone misplace their invitation to the party? She chuckled to herself and leaped quickly off the roof. Theoretically speaking, it shouldn't be too hard to use the cloak of darkness to her advantage and take this tardy senshi by surprise. If she moved fast and kept her eyes on the prize, maybe no one else would even notice her.

Ananke Eternal Senshi of Portals

Ananke happened to be not too far away from the field... something was happening... she remembered there was a senshi gathering but now it seemed like there was a dark cloud that loomed overhead. She took off sprinting to the fields bounding and she came to the sight she expected to see. Another fight was about to begin she could tell that even though it was hard to make everything out. "Everything... will be okay." She whispered to herself... you just have to help everyone that you can... But what was this dark feeling that she had?

Tapping her cheeks with her palms she shook herself out of her feelings of doubt. This wasn't the time to worry about this she has to help where she can.

Liryn

His communicator pinged with an incoming message as a feminine voice mentioned that she was going to get the lights and that people should stay calm and try to get away.

Not that Liryn had any intention of leaving - not whilst those of the group that had come out to train remained.

The message turned out to be Athene's response. The dark-haired eternal was on his way–

And then lights on the field went dark shortly after, Liryn's pupils shifting to accommodate the change.

His attention turned back to the Jupiter Knight as the other addressed him, purplish eyes serious as he picked up on more Negaverse auras "I messaged him" he said as he padded towards the Knight, deliberately but gently trying to brush against the red and black shoes of a nearby brown-haired Super senshi (Nephthys) in an attempt to comfort as he passed.

"He was already en route" he continued as he reached the Knight jumped up onto the offered shoulder with the ease that came from jumping up onto various shoulders. "He said he's coming."

He tensed on the Jupiter Knight's shoulder as the eternal - Metis - suddenly called out for a Pendour to dodge to the side, but the other, much larger, mauvian was already moving and he eventually relaxed.

His place was here, doing his best to help, for now.

Eternal Sailor Athene

The jewellery project that he'd been working on earlier as Arian had taken a while - certainly longer than planned - but Athene thought that he might be able to just about make the tail end of the training event that Liryn had been so excited about.

Liryn had mentioned the location - a soccer field - and it was to there that the dark-haired eternal had been making his way.

It had been force of habit for him to pull his senshi phone out and message the small tabby mauvian - in part to let his friend know that he was on his way and in part because well it was kind of late and Athene was wondering if the training event was still ongoing.

His phone pinged with a return message from Liryn and Athene opened it up expecting it to something along the lines of either the training event was still going on or that the training event was over–

He was not expecting the short but succinct message:

Athene. Trouble at the football field that I mentioned. Come asap. Liryn

It was short on detail, but it hadn't stopped Athene from doing his best to make his way towards the aforementioned field as quickly as he could–

And then he started picking up on the auras.

Cold chaotic auras of the Negaverse variety.

It was a Captain's aura that he picked up on first, followed by the even colder aura of a General - both of which made him feel uneasy.

But then he started picking up on more auras. A second General and then a third - and whilst Athene had no intention of turning back, he knew better than to think that he could take on those odds on his own.

He pulled out his phone, figuring (well okay more like hoping) that he was close enough to the soccer field and activated the distress signal app on his phone and hoped that it would be enough to alert others who might be out on patrol that there was a problem.

Then he bit his lip before pressing closer to the field.

Cybele

With how long she’d been at this, there was a part of Cybele that was never truly surprised by the Negaverse, but that didn’t mean her heart didn’t drop when the auras started popping up, or that her hands didn’t curl into even tighter fists than usual.

This wasn’t just any event that they were crashing. It was hers. It had been going so well. She’d been so careful.

Although, as two lights flickered on on top of a nearby building, her heart sank even deeper. She’d been careful about aura dampening, but not about loudly announcing the details of time and place to anyone who would listen, without thinking about what walls and trees might have ears.

This was her fault, wasn’t it?

Things didn’t get any better when she saw just who the lights were illuminating. A cream-colored cat, with her name announced. Cora.

Oh. Oh.

Cybele had seen her starseed skittering across the floor of a burning building. She’d assumed no one could survive that. She hadn’t accounted for how easy it would be to scoop a soul up and to fill it with Chaos.

A knight’s voice calling her name brought her a bit more back into the present moment, as did the lights flicking off behind her, although she didn’t make any move to join him or the group he was gathering. He could get people out, that was fine, but she was supposed to be the leader here and that meant the Negaverse was going to have to go through her first.

“Get behind me,” she called out, and then added, with a strained smile, to Miyamoto who was already next to her, “You’ll be all right. Use your magic if they get too close.” It wasn’t about being useful right now. It was about staying safe.

Sylvite

A few of Sylvite’s most jittery nerves went away when she felt the other auras pop up around her, one at a time. Some of them were even Generals, and even though she knew they were partly there to keep an eye on her, they were still really strong, and that was gonna help a lot.

Once she knew she had backup, she didn’t waste any time making her way over to Cybele. Turquoise and Cora’s concert plan seemed to be working. The Eternal looked pretty distracted. By the time the lights went out, she already knew where she was going. She had to blink to adjust to the sudden dimness, but she didn’t stop.

What gave her more of a double take was the guy who was standing behind Cybele. Miyamoto. Her future friend. Unless he’d ended up just being a liar, instead.

Still, she half-nodded towards the trees at the other edge of the field, trying to signal to him to get out without being too obvious about it.

That was all the opening Cybele needed to run to run forward and punch her in the face, sending the smaller girl flying back.

Pendour

Pendour would have been nearly blind from the sudden dimness even if he hadn’t appeared on her bad side. As it was, she had no idea who was coming at her, but she heard the boots hitting the ground. She heard Metis calling to dodge.

She twisted instinctively when she saw movement, and she threw herself hard to the side, which was probably what kept her alive, but the blade still hit. It bit deepest on the back of her arm, just under the armor, but the arc kept it cutting across her back.

Pendour couldn’t help it. She screamed.

Then she ran. She ran as fast as her feet could carry her, back towards the others. Her thumb found her signet ring, somehow, and her Aspect rippled over her. It was a soft blue dappling to what light was left hitting her, and a little extra protection if she was hit again.

“I’m sorry,” she murmured, half to herself, as she got closer. “I’m sorry.” A whole training event and she still wasn’t any good at dodging. “I don’t know if we can just run,” she said, a little louder, glancing from senshi to knight with knitted brows. “They’re so fast.”

She sucked in a heavy breath of air against the pain.

Jadarite

It took Jada a moment to adjust to the light, but she had to have better visibility from down here than those on the rooftop did.

One of the Generals seemed to have the same idea. She watched as he targeted a knight who was separated from the group. Also a smart move.

When one of those cats, those Mauvians, as they liked to call themselves, came after him with some kind of beam attack, Jadarite decided that he might need some backup. She didn’t know if her abilities and her stapler would be able to do much against any enemy stronger than a basic senshi, but this was a cat.

Anyway, there had always been a part of Jadarite that had wanted to wipe the grins off of their smug little cat faces.

She moved in from where she’d been standing at the edge of the field, and as soon as she was close enough she aimed a kick at the cat.

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter

Sessrumnir straightened back up as the guardian cat made himself comfortable on his shoulder, nodding to the red and black senshi that joined them. Unfortunately he didn’t know their name.

“That’s perfect, if they get close we’ll need you to drain them as quickly as possible,” he encouraged, before tuning into Metis’s report on their surroundings, clicking his tongue in frustration to know that there were probably people going to get hurt. So something happened that let the Negaverse know about this training event, and it had nothing to do with the guardian cats being unable to handle the number of people.

But then he heard Metis yell, and his heart sank when it was for Pendour. There would have been no time for him to reach her, and only hoped that Réalta’s energy beam was enough to get the General to back off. At least long enough for Pendour to get back to them.

Although he wanted to stay as central to the others as possible, Sessrumnir strode the last couple yards to meet Pendour as she made her way back to them, keeping an eye on the General and now the Lieutenant that went after Réalta as much as he could.

“Don’t be sorry, we’ll get you patched up soon,” Sessrumnir promised, doing his best to keep any kind of panic out of his voice. He wrapped an arm protectively around her shoulders as if to shield her as he lead her back over to Metis and the other senshi, thankful for Pendour’s quick thinking to use her planet’s aspect. And thankful that Réalta and Metis were quick to act.

“You’ll let me know if someone pops up behind us, yeah?” he asked the cat on his shoulder, hearing the distress signal go off from various phones and knight rings, his own ring vibrating with the alarm. “Your kid’s doing?” he asked the cat, assuming it must have been Athene, since he was hopefully not yet in danger of a General or Captain teleporting behind him to attack.

He had a limited amount of time with his magic, so he only wanted to use it when absolutely necessary, but had every intention of protecting as many as he could.

General Jet

Jet knew that Aquamarine was probably pissed with him for not sticking around long enough to hear what he had to say, but Aquamarine usually had something negative to say anyway, so Jet already knew it wouldn’t be much help.

He could feel as the blade made contact with the knight’s arm, even if she managed to be warned in time to move out of the way. She even had her own magic, it seemed. Light as though from an ocean appeared, and Jet barely had time to get out of the way when a whistling energy blast was aimed at him.

Weapon was dropped and he hit the ground of the soccer field only long enough for him to scramble back to his feet. A pink haired Lieutenant with a stapler took off after the cat that shot at him, and he nodded in her direction with approval, taking a few moments to catch his breath after it had been knocked from him, and brush the grass from his uniform.

Unfortunately, it seemed as though the little squire had scurried back to her small group.

Even in the darkness, he recognized the Jupiter knight, having crossed paths with him before. Not wanting to have another officer in the hospital, Jet pulled his tablet pen out of a pocket just inside the fold of his uniform jacket and spoke into it.

“This is General Jet. Steer clear of the Jupiter Knight. He has a wolf he can summon to attack at a moment’s notice. Over.”

With a press of a button the recording was sent. Whether others would hear and listen to him or not, he didn’t know. But he didn’t want the officers, especially the newer ones, to go into this only to have their arm or leg ripped off. And he didn't want the Knight to know they were onto him about his magic.

Sailor Meissa

It was the flaring of chaos auras that kept guiding Meissa in the right direction towards the soccer field. The one downside to being further away was that there were more chances to attract the wrong sort of attention as she hurried on the way to provide much needed backup. As she paused for a moment the senshi of bobcats could hear a strange noise. Pursing her lips together in consternation the bluenette could hear the noise was coming from the phone that she never used. Fishing out the device she glanced at the screen and the distress signal that was emanating before silencing the phone and stuffing it back into her subspace pocket. "Kinda late on the warning there. Already know there's a situation arising."

Another chaos aura flared up and Meissa stiffened in response. This one seemed much closer than the others. Was she about to be paid a visit? Shifting into a crouch the bobcat senshi scanned the area before ducking into a nearby alley. She couldn't hide her aura but she could draw the one following her away from the view of the public eye. Although as she took in her new surrounding she sighed, "dead end alley ... just great. Guess it'll have to do."

She could have tried to continue onwards but dispatching this one lone interested target seemed to be of more importance.

Aletheia

Aletheia could just about make out more detail in her target's uniform when they decided to take a sudden dip into a nearby alley. Well, it wasn't exactly convenient for her in terms of carrying distance later on, but it did make all of this more familiar for her. She was used to messing with her targets in alleyways anyway. The corrupt redirected herself and gave chase.

"Oh, dead end?" She said, approaching Meissa slowly. She crossed one of her arms over her chest and leaned her elbow against it, a manicured finger gently tapping her chin in thoughtful motion. "Too bad. I was hoping you'd be a bit more of a challenge."

She looked Meissa up and down and offered her a sly smile.

"Are those ears real?" She asked, squinting up at Meissa's head with a laugh. "Or did you forget to take them off after some anime convention?"

Nephthys

Bending, for a moment, to pet the cat at her feet the senshi of vampires looked up at the Jupiter knight and nodded. "Will do. I can hope it'll give us time enough to escape or take someone out so we can get out of here." Between energy draining and a distraction her magic would lend itself to taking someone out so they could escape very well. She just didn't think she could do all of that on her own - someone else would need to attack whoever she turned her magic on.

Standing, slowly, she wasn't too shocked by what was going on around them. It wasn't good though, she didn't like this. "Theirs too many of them...three Generals....the odds." She whispered, trailing off. "I don't like them." She added then. She didn't like the odds with General's on the field. Depending on who they were...they had a lot of time - more time than most here. They were killers and even she knew that. Generals were Generals for a reason.

For a moment she wished she were eternal...that would mean more power for her and more magic, though she didn't know if it would be the same energy draining magic. It would help out now more than ever if she were eternal. Shaking her head, to clear it from such thoughts, the senshi of vampires tried to focus on what was going on and watch everyone. She needed to be on her feet and catch anyone heading for their group, even as the Jupiter knight went to grab someone and bring them back to the little group they were.

"We'll need to move soon." Whether to fight or escape they wouldn't have a choice. They needed to do something.

Miyamoto

Nodding his head he moved to stand behind tonight's host, he needed to keep himself out of this fight. This wasn't what he needed to get caught up in, he was only here for the training and to observe. He wasn't here to fight those he would soon join.

And just as he thought that, about how this wasn't good for him, he saw her. Cursing in his head he wished he could speak up - to say something. He couldn't though...not here. But he couldn't just run either...he couldn't just let Sylvite think he'd lied, though he didn't know why he cared one wit about what she thought. Maybe it was because he didn't want word getting to Wolframite and him looking bad.

He took his time thinking things over, ignoring when Sylvite nodded for him to run. He shook his head even - he wasn't running. He had to do something. For a moment he considered just how much this was going to ******** him over...he was going to stab himself in the foot if anyone saw, or heard, him....but ******** it!

"You want her?" He called to Sylvite from over Cybele's shoulder, dark eyes latching onto the officers eyes. Breathing slowly, a deep breath, he made his move. A sweeping gesture given, almost like he was giving Sylvite permission to do what she wanted, but then the words came. "Sweeping Loneliness" aimed for Cybele. He wasn't just giving the Negaverse agent permission - he was helping hand the senshi over to her and the Negaverse. He was, almost literally, stabbing Cybele in the back by using his magic on her.

One more look to the Negaverse agent as he straightened himself before he turned and took off into the darkness towards the trees. He might have helped the Negaverse, hopefully assuring they wouldn't take him out tonight, but now he risked his own side going after him. He needed to escape his own side now.

General Aquamarine

Jet might have hit the dirt, but Aquamarine saw no reason to interfere yet. A cat was no cause for concern. They were small and almost harmless, easy to kick to the side when they were dumb enough to draw close, useless creatures with few redeeming qualities. Aquamarine released an amused snort and considered mocking Jet for the encounter, but the middle of a battle probably wasn’t the best place to distract him with pointless snark. If Jet was already getting the wind knocked out of him, he’d need his wits about him for the rest of it.

There were plenty of other things to take note of anyway. The Lieutenant who came in to assist against the cat, for one. Aquamarine couldn’t quite make out her weapon, but he expected it was as ineffective as his own had been. Better that she handle the troublesome feline, then; the higher ranking officers could see to the bigger threats.

Like the Knight Jet warned them about.

“Why aren’t we recruiting him then?” Aquamarine muttered.

Better a Knight than a Senshi, in his opinion.

But it wasn’t like his opinion counted for much.

It was a little difficult for Aquamarine to see through the dark at the edge of the field, but the surrounding area seemed to be residential, so they weren’t completely without sources of light. He could catch a glimpse of figures. There was a group of them huddled together, easy to surround if the attacking agents were organized enough. Their magic would likely pose an issue, but magic was also finite. Let them waste it first. They’d be no good against legitimate weapons without it.

As one figure broke off from the group and ran into the trees, Aquamarine laughed lightly to himself and folded his arms over his chest.

“Pathetic,” he said. “Look at the little Senshi, betraying his friends.”

And some people want me to believe they won’t betray us, he thought to himself.

Guine
Way to go, Jet.

Turquoise

The distraction plan looked like it worked. There seemed to be at least a little bit of confusion in Order side and even for a moment, their attention was on the singing cat.

When Jadarite spoke to her, the teal-haired lieutenant turned to look at her colleague. Her challenge was a welcomed proposal, so tempting. Yet still, Turquoise hesitated. Could she leave her position? She wanted to. She really wanted to. She wanted to fight, to show all her combat skills she had learned in her retreat overseas. But that would mean she would have to abandon Cora. Or did it?

Her thoughts were distracted as lights turned off. It didn't take long until she realized the same thing Sessrumnir had realized. They, agents on the rooftop were easy targets here.

Maybe this new turn of events could turn to their advantage. Turquoise took a step back, letting Cora to perform freely on the rooftop's edge. She then moved towards one of the spotlights they had, trying to protect her eyes at the same time. As she was next to it, she heard a voice she hadn't heard in years.

"General Benitoite. Long time no see."

Turq rarely showed her feelings to show through but there was genuine relief and warmth in her voice. Of all people she knew, Benitoite has one of those few she had missed during her retreat.

"Yes, they turned off lights," she then answered. "However…" The lieutenant turned back towards the spotlight and started turning it carefully so that the light beam would be away from them and more towards the soccer field. "We have our own lights. Please, be careful to not get blinded."

Cora was still performing her own little show when Katya approached her. If she was any bit like at home she would be really focused on her own performance and not really paying attention to anything else. The questions like this needed to be answered though, so the teal-haired lieutenant scooped the cream-colored cat up to her arms again.

"This is Cora. Do you remember her, general?" Her voice echoyed from speakers as she spoke near Cora's microphone. Turq looked towards the soccer field and then back to the general. Wait, was that a smirk?

"She is pretty new on this side," she said, intentionally speaking on the mic. "I got her this spring, after that cats-turn-into-humans incident. She was trusting the wrong person, my civilian self…. Or should we say the right person....Oh, and dare I say, she put up a pretty good fight…. And screamed…. and begged for mercy. She did everything she could do to avoid corruption….. But you know how effective those things are in the General-King's office." She wondered if the general and his cat figured out what she was trying to do and if her little mind game had any effect.

Lieutenant Turquoise glanced back towards the soccer field. "I know my position is supposed to here, with her," she said, this time not so close the microphone. "But permission to join the fight?"

Cora

Cora had been enjoying her time as a diva for quite some while. Especially when lieutenant Turquoise had let her have some freedom of movement on the edge of the rooftop. But of course the lieutenant had to take her back into her arms.

"You're ruining my song," she complained and sulked while Turq was introducing her to the general, her tail swiping from side to side. She calmed down only a bit after Turq was done. "Greetings, did you like the song?"

Suddenly it was chaos. There was fighting, There were agents and other Senshi who clearly belonged on the other side. And he really had no idea what to do or even how to start addressing the situation. It seemed that either people were targeting others specifically, or everyone else was just trying to find a fighting "partner" to concentrate on.

Before he could even decide whether or not to fight someone else or just try to flee entirely like a coward, probably not what he would have done, he saw a familiar figure running. Pendour looked different at this point, but at least it was someone that he could get to at least and then figure out what to do next.

He rushed over to her, dodging some punches, people flying around after being knocked around, magic and whatever else. Not much, but enough to make it so that it took a bit to finally get over to her, but when he did she appeared to be with others. Still, he would join her if he could. "Pendour!" He called when he was finally within the right distance. And he ran the rest of the way to catch up to her. "You need help?" Something was wrong. It looked like she had been hurt. And he was angry that she had been. A friend of his had been attacked and he couldn't even help her at this point. It was so frustrating!

Benitoite

"Turquoise, a pleasure to see you again. I'm glad you're well." He spoke with a calmness that went against his want to go out and fight, and the battle taking place not to far from them all.

"Hopefully things go as planned tonight.Thank you, I'll be mindful to be careful tonight. It wouldn't do to get blinded by the enemy." Blinding...hmmm...that was a nice idea. He wouldn't mind removing an eye from some knight or senshi...to blind them for good. He didn't care what damage he did to those down below who served order.

"Cora...I don't know the name...but I'm sure I've seen her in the past." At some point he was sure he'd seen her. Listening to the other he nodded his head in approval. "I see...and yes, it is rather hard to argue a General King...they do tend to get what they want - not that I have an issue with that." As he did tend to agree with most of what they did. "She's lovely...she and Katya should spend time together after this..."

Looking over at the battle field he glanced back to Turquoise. "Katya can help Cora...I plan to join the fray as well...."

Reaching out, as he spoke, to pet Cora gently. "I did - you are a talented singer lady Cora. It is nice to meet you." Leaning in to gently press his lips to her head. "It is a pleasure to have you on our side."

Katya

Katya for her down part was watching her fellow guardian cat sing and dance and perform for everyone.Well, this wasn't exactly Katya's thing but to each their own...and this was a fellow guardian cat. This one was one of theirs and even if she had originally served order that was fine - Cora was with them now.

"I'll keep her safe...you two go and play with the ones down below...I'll make sure Cora is able to continue to perform for everyone." Cora might have been involved in the war longer, she was certain of that, but Katya was vicious and she would protect the other. She was new to the Negaverse and would be protected by the Russian Blue.

"Cora, that's alright - if I protect you so you can sing and dance for everyone?"
