Class Affinity Solo - Minstrel
Thaliessin was sitting in her classes, bored out of her mind. Bless the dancer who was training her on the side, but the teenager just was bored. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy dancing, but growing up with it engrained in her life meant it was old news. Tali was confident in herself, her beauty, and she knew others noticed it too. It helped being so unique to be half Yaeli and half shifter, after all.
So, as she continued in this class, she couldn't help but wonder if maybe her skills were more focused on the musical side of things. She loved to hum and move her fingers, and enjoyed the art of pulling things out of subtle movements. Dancing made her so sweaty and every style she tried was just something she didn't quite get.
But the instruments that the minstrels played, they had a place and supported the dancers from behind the scenes. She could sing, play, and create an atmosphere for dancers to thrive.
Lately, Taliessin had been eyeing the harp-like device that one of the visitors had. It was curved like a horn, with strings that were plucked to play along with singing. The girl was confident she was a great singer, and the instrument would be fantastic to accompany and provide a beat.
Just thinking about it left Taliessin with excitement and vigor. She needed to step up and take on those types of lessons instead of dancing. Her father would be fine with it, he loved to dote on her, and her mother was just happy if she found her way.
Yes, tomorrow she'd see if she could learn the harp-like instrument and practice singing and learning some songs. For now, she'd just have to survive another set of dancing lessons...which really wasn't that bad considering she now had a path to follow.

Class Quest
[ Taliessin finds herself struggling to grow up. Her sister has decided to travel the world, and while she is happy for Aria, she's also a little bit angry. She feels like she's being left behind, but knows that her place is here, in the Violet where she can train more. ]
Taliessin slammed her door to her room, letting out a huff and resisting the urge to pull her hair and scream. How dare Aria decide to just leave their family, and without taking to her in advance. How dare she think she had a right to go off into the world alone, to explore and grow without her sister by her side.
Taliessin was angry, but deep down she felt betrayed. And it was that feeling crawling up her chest that caused her to flop into her bed and begin to cry. It was a soft cry, not a full on sob that she sometime heard from the performers, but still it was a release of emotion that she held in from the previous meeting downstairs.
After what felt like hours, Taliessin found herself laying in her bed with throbbing eyes, exhausted and maybe a little nauseous from all the crying. Why was Aria leaving? Why didn't she say anything? Why didn't she ask Taliessin in advance.
They had never really been apart, having grown up so close to one another. To be separate was something strange. Especially for weeks, years even. But maybe, just maybe, that's why Aria wanted to do this...she wanted to go out on her own. To be on her own and grow on her own.
Taliessin knew that the throb in her heart at that was selfish. What right did she have to hold her sister back? She always supported her sister, no matter what the question, desire, or act. It was why they were so close, because they loved to help each other be the best they could be. As she sat up and moved to a water bowl to wipe her face, she wondered why this time she was resisting so much. Her parents were supportive, so why wasn't she?
Placing her hands in the cold waters, she leaned over and splashed it over her face again, taking another deep breath and letting the water drip down her face. It felt as calming as she needed to to be, and did a great job of clearing her headache and her head. Leaning back, she decided that she would support her sister no matter what, even if it meant separating from each other.
But they were family, and they would always see each other again. Even if Aria was old and wrinkled, she'd welcome her home with open arms. And in the meantime, she knew she'd work hard to discover herself. She couldn't travel because she needed to train and perfect her art. It was her responsibility that she committed to, and she couldn't just let it go and travel. Aria had her reasons, but Taliessin knew that she needed to focus on her goals. She wanted to become a musician and that meant practice, practice practice. Maybe, someday, she'd find the time to travel (maybe even to play and perform).
For now, she needed to focus on supporting her sister, and maybe finding a way to stay in touch while she was gone.
