[[ Roll 3 ]]  While searching from her perch, Mira spotted another pink blossom. Stepping back a moment, she launched herself off the stump to glide over and swipe the flower up in passing. That was two pink flowers. While she wasn't the most keen on the color of the flowers, but anything to spruce up her nest. At times it was a little musty after a couple storms and needed something fragrant. Perhaps there were some other colors in another part of the flower fields. Some different colors would make it even better. At least this was what she was thinking anyways... Hopefully.

 Fiontan, unfortunately, was not active during the festival. He wandered around periodically to check things out but his mind was still on that one specific dire rat from the journey who singled him out. He was still turning over in his mind why. The rat of course gave no reason and his mannerisms came off as confrontational. Today he decided to go to the center of the festival where there were some booths and tables set about with all different kinds of things to enjoy for those attending. Looking about he noticed a table that had all kinds of flowers laying on it. It looked very pretty, since all the flowers were different colors. They seemed to be arranged to show off the colors that complimented the one next to it. He spied movement out of the corner of his eye and jumped back a bit. It was a light-colored dire rat that was bringing flowers to the table he was standing next to. The rat seemed to notice him and stopped. It looked over at him and tilted it's head to the side. It was sizing him up just like the one from the journey. He knew it was not the same rat but it made him uncomfortable. Swallowing he slowly stepped forward and said "Hello, I am Fiontan. I see you have flowers may I be of some assistance?" he said as clear as he could. He hoped the rat did not take offense to him stepping back at first he was just surprised. In all honesty he wanted to learn all he could about these creatures so he could figure out why he was targeted by the other one. The rat seemed to accept his offer and nodded. It placed the flowers on the table and said to him "Yes I would like some help, it takes me a while to gather these. My arms can only hold so many before I have to bring them to the table. Follow me please?" with that Fiontan nodded and followed behind to gather flowers and information. W/C: 347 Roll 1: No flower Roll 2: Red Flower

Dire rats could talk now, apparently.
Guitian wasn't very sure on the specifics. If he was honest, he didn't know much about dire rats at all, except that they were competitors for the scant food out in the barrens. He knew even less about the intelligent ones that had apparently come back to the Homewood with an ascended noulicorn.
He could hardly believe that ascended noulicorns were real - he'd seen adepts before, with the bright sparkle of their magic present on their coats. But real ascended noulicorns...he'd have said they were unimaginable, but apparently there was a whole council of them here. The Homewood was amazing.
He'd hung back from most of the festivities here while he tried to get an idea of just what was going on, but he'd heard that there were rats here searching for flowers. That was something he'd do happily, so he took note of where they were working and set off to search himself.

The Homewood, fortunately, was not the Barrens, and it didn't actually take very long before Guitian discovered a bloom that seemed to match the ones the rats had detailed. It was tricky pulling it out without injuring the plant it lived on too much - that was something Guitian had little experience in.
He managed eventually, though, and he stuck the little purple flower and its stem in his mane. He could gather more before he returned, right...?
Well, he'd at least search on the way back, he decided. He could ask the dire rats once he'd returned, and then go back to the search.

The ground looked picked clean the closer Guitian got to the dire rats' base of operations, though. It made sense: they and their helpers had been searching here for a little while already. "I've got this one," he volunteered, indicating the small purple bloom he'd tucked into his mane. "But, listen - I'm going to head a little farther this time, and turn back when I've accumulated more." He paused, considering the rats carefully. "It - well, it just seems like many of the flowers here have already been picked," he explained. It made sense - low-hanging fruit and all.
But it probably was not a good idea to relieve the area of all its flowers, so Guitian decided to look somewhere that seemed relatively untouched first. Perhaps the flowers would not grow so abundantly there...but that way the Homewood could grow the flowers again later.

The more Minx stared at the flowers, the more she wondered what would happen if a few went missing. Surely no one would notice, not with this much bounty! If she carefully plucked a flower from an arrangement here or there she could probably accrue quite the stash. Some of the dwellers in the Ruins had uses for dried flowers. Poultices. Food. Decoration. They might net her something in trade. She was greatful for the little bag strapped to her back. She'd worked hard at it for ages, using a strange material she'd dug out of a ruined building. Now it would come in handy. Inventory: PurplePink

Minx crept forward, eyeing a nearby flower arrangement. It seemed to be primarily made from roses. She knew many rats who would be interested in such a bounty. They made a nice tisane, and were soothing to the skin to boot. She watched the party goers around the arrangement, trying to discover if any of them were watching it. It didn't appear anyone had their eye on it. The perfect opening! Minx furtively darted forward, snatching a lovely yellow rose with a deft paw. While crouching below the arrangement she stuffed it safely into her little pack before swiftly darting away. One flower captured. Inventory: PurplePink
