This was the first flower festival Minx had witnessed. She'd heard about these strange Homewood Nouls getting together for a big party before, but she hadn't quite believed it. The amount of excess was quite stunning. You had to be living a pretty great life in order to throw this sort of shindig. It took a lot of resources. As it was, they seemed to be just giving things away! Imagine having so much food, so many plants, so many flowers you could just give them out! Willy nilly! Minx shook her head in disbelief. She really needed an in here ...

At the moment, she wasn't ready to reveal herself to the Nouls frolicking about. Though Minx could see a few rats mixed into the revelers, she wasn't sure what exactly they'd done to score an invite. She doubted a bunch of rats descending on the party would go too well. For the time being, she skulked the outskirts, looking for dropped morsels of food. She also took a few moments to appreciate all the flowers. While the ruins were far from barren, this place looked like flowers exploded all over it. Unbelievable! Minx could hardly imagine the amount of work it must have taken.

[[ Roll 1 ]] Mira had always been a loner, gliding from branch to branch as she hunted for crawlers and berries. Her nest was always set high in a solid tree, hidden behind a thick clump of woven branches. It had been hard work, but she had made it home. Shelter against the wind and rain, bugs that would think of her as a meal in the night. It was perfect! .. Then the festival came, all the noise and chatter beneath brought the dark blue Cockatrice from her nest. Sitting upon one of the branches she peered down at those whom milled about below. Wings pulled in close to her body before she slipped off the branch to glide in a lazy spiral down to the ground. What was all this about finding flowers? Perhaps she could find something to.. Spruce up her nest... Maybe...

[[ Roll 2 ]] Upon hitting the ground, Mira staggered slightly as she caught her balance. Shaking out her feathers, yellow eyes peering at those around the area. Were all these other hunting for flowers as well? Tilting her head slightly, she stepped carefully through the grass. Spotting a pink flower, she dashed over and plucked it from its stalk and tucked it beneath a wing, safely secured in her feathers. There were more flowers to be had and it seemed that those taller then she could see them easier then her. Well this certainly wasn't going to do. making her way over to a high stump, small wings flapping as she clawed/hopped her way up the stump to reach to top. This was much better!

Day 1 Roll 1Rp wc: 301 Betty Bay had sadly missed most of the flower festival but she was grateful to have managed to make it now. She just hoped she had not missed to much of the events. It was a beautiful day and though there was some cloud cover but the air was still warm with shade so it was not to hot. As she entered the meadow there was so much activity and fun going. The excitement was heavy in the air as she moved to the center of the festival placed in the meadow. "Hello.. It's so nice to see you." Betty said to passing nouls as she made her way to an area where she could see busy Dire rats. She had not seen a dire rat yet for herself and was very excited to meet one. As she approached the small group she could tell they were busy gathering flowers together of all different colors and type. "Hello there are these for the festival?" she had one of the dire rats as they laid and bundle of flowers down. "Yes we are." The dire rats said with a smile. "Oh how wonderful. May I help you gather some?" Betty asked not wanting to be rude or anything. "Yes that would be great." the dire rat said and then headed off to gather some more flowers. Betty happily skipped after the dire rat to see where they where getting their flowers form so she could get the right colors. She knew this was going to be helpful and fun. As she moved to pick her first flower, Betty wondered if the dire rats loved it here in the Homewoods. She could see how helpful they wanted to be in the festival so she hoped that was a good sign in the end.
