Coralynne had arrived at the carriage a early she really didn't want to miss it. But as she look nervously around she wondered if she should have arrived sooner to get a good set. Shrugging at the though of a good sit she begin weaving through the conversations not wanting to intrude on them. She had never done anything adventures but this was her chance to step out of her shell so to speak. Taking some strength form that though she marched on to find an open set.

Obnoxious Obscurity *Takes the bait* I assume Eir is in the last carriage in the caravan if that's ok with you Eir really hadn't known what to expect on this mission. One day, she had been training with her superiors at the temple, the next, she was being told to pack. Eir hadn't left the temple for more then a few days since becoming an acolyte to Enyo. Sure she had taken trips, with other members of the temple, but this was different. She'd been told that someone had gone missing, and a search party was being formed to find this... Horne, was it? Her superiors had decided Eir should venture out to put what she'd learned to practice. "I can do this." She told herself. She had gotten stronger, and she wanted to protect her family and homeland... so signing on as a protector, or, hired muscle, would be a good test. Another occupant of the carriage spoke. "Motion sickness?" She blurted out. She'd never been motion sick before. "You must be a doctor. Good to have a healer on the trip. So what do they call you?" She asked, failing to introduce herself.

Amity nearly hadn't made it at all in spite of signing up, but she managed to climb into the last carriage in the caravan before it could leave with her, pleased with herself. She could've been earlier, but ah well!
The Baphomet made her way over to a seat, sinking down before surveying her surroundings and the others in the caravan with her. The offer of motion sickess medicine was certainly nice.. She hoped that wouldn't be a problem. This was slated to be a pretty long ride.
"Good to know in case any of us get sick." She said, smiling. "I'm Amity." She offered, waving a hand from her seat.Lural Hope it's okay I join in!

Isley arrived in just in time for her to settle in a carriage. When she entered sh seen that there was other already on board. She looked for a empty seat and listened to others starting to arrive. She didnt know if anyone was going to sit with her. She was a little nervous because this is her first trip. She grabbed her bag and started digging around for her book. She had brought a few thing with her. She heard that they will be traveling seven days without stopping so she brought things to keep her occupied and content. She opened up her romance novel and started reading. As she started to read her head started to day dream that she was the one in the romantic novel and forgot she was on the carriage.

x Saiph settled themselves into a spot in the carriage putting their backpack in the seat next to them. It's not that they wouldn't mind company should the carriages prove to hold just the amount of people that had signed up, so much as they needed their bag accessible and their lap clear. First thing was first, gather up the evidence they knew already. Saiph grabbed out their small notebook from their bag and scribbled down all that the group had been told so far. 'Missing professor named Dr. Horn. Last known location was The Lost Lands of Above.'The hybrid realized in that moment that they hardly knew anything yet. The only source of information would be the leader of this expedition: Clare Honeymint. Saiph quickly put their backpack on and stood up. They had to find the professor who had grouped them all together, but where was she? It was hard to see anything with so many varying heights that made it hard for a short hybrid like Saiph to see through. They sighed before starting to push through the crowd, hoping they didn't hurt anyone along their way to find Professor Honeymint.

Jin swung up into a carriage, messenger bag firmly attached and filled with things he needed. He had sketch books, and journals, all sorts of pens, and magic supplies. A set of extra clothing, some food and water, some simple medical supplies. He had bought gloves and scissors and specimen bags. He was going to explore a very unknown place and he was going to take as many notes and sketches as possible in as much detail as possible. As well as potentially finding the missing professor. Jin sat down, crossing his legs, split hooves dangling as he got comfortable on the seat... they were in for a long ride... ugh.

Amarith sat in her seat, bag placed down in front of her and wings half-mantled around her for comfort and so she didn't potentially crowd anyone else. This was a search and potentially rescue operation, so she had packed just like she would for a hike. Her bag was full of supplies, non-perishable foods, bottled waters, extra clothes and a small first aid kit. Attached to the top was her sleeping bag. She pat the sleeping bag now and smiled slightly, glad she had kept the equipment after her girlfriend had passed and she had thought she would never want to go hiking again. At the same time, she hoped she wouldn't need most of what she'd packed, but it was good to be prepared. She just hoped that if worst came to worst she could still fly with it on. Walking was fine, it wasn't too heavy for that, but flying was an entirely different thing. Hopefully she wouldn't need to test that either.

'Famous'? Oh, my! Was this hybrid flirting with her? Or just flattering? Eh, more realistically it was probably neither. Clare seemed like a pretty genuine person so far, and Cyan was typically a good judge of character. She kinda had to be, considering her line of work. Continuing to get jobs kinda depended on her ability to read people. "Sparks, huh? Yaaah, you could say that." Cyan let out a heavy and rather wistful sigh, her bangs fluttering from the gust of air that issued from her lungs. "I suppose you could say we have a bit of a reputation together. Don't worry though, I don't know anything about her job with you. Confidentiality and all that." Cyan winked at Clare reassuringly before sitting upright again. "You hungry? I could go for a bite. What kinda food we got kicking around here?"

When the list had been making the rounds for expedition volunteers, Tabi had been one of the first to eagerly sign on, excited to take part of a mission she wasn't in charge of, for once. She loved her job as a university professor and a local tour guide, although it was appropriately exhausting. Although - yes, there was a missing person, she couldn't help but feel as though she were going on a bit of a vacation.
She packed her bags full of delicate archaeological equipment - brushes and picks, mostly, although she doubted she'd be using it, as well as a little sketch journal she'd been using. One never knew when they were in for a dig! She stored her bag, bringing only a smaller satchel of snacks and an archaeological journal to read on the long journey, before taking a seat next to a hybrid seated alone. She turned to her seatmate, grinning. "I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get on the road!" she said, exercising a bit of small talk before offering a hand in greeting. "Dr. Tabi Ketzal. And you are?"
But just as introductions were made, she couldn't help but overhear. "Do we have another doctor on board?" she said, leaning her head into the aisle to take a peek at the reddish Grimm speaking. "I have to say, I'm quite surprised at the number of professionals on this trip! I expected more students."

It suddenly seemed to be very crowded, and Eir sighed. There were going to be a lot of people to look after. She really hoped she wasn't in over her head. But as she was thinking this, people settled in the seat behind her. One started talking, and at first she was going to ignore it, but then the owner of the voice seemed to be speaking in her general direction. Eir got to her knees and leaned over the back of the seat to look at a naga hybrid, and the kumiho hybrid she seemed to be speaking to. "Hm? Yeah, seems like maybe this guy here is a doctor? Or at least someone really prepared for this." She gestured to the head of blue hair beside her, not having even waited for him to say anything to her. "You think there are a lot of pros here? Huh. I thought you were all just regular citizens or something." She shrugged. She regarded the naga, then the kumiho beside her. They didn't look much like fighters to her. They looked too... scholarly. "I'm Eir." She finally remembered to offer her name. A Baphomet that she didn't know sat across the aisle, commenting on the motion sickness medicine as well. Eir looked over at her, her single steel-colored eye regarding the other critically at first, but she tried to school herself into a more welcoming expression. "So, you all like... researchers or something? Or doctors? What's with all the books?" Duke of Donut everyone is welcome to join me!

With several people speaking up at their strange out-of-the-blue comment, Devon closed their book and set it in their lap. Their plan to start a conversation actually worked, will the wonders never cease? He nodded to each of them in greeting, though he was a little taken aback with how quickly the grimm- who finally introduced herself as Eir- spoke without giving themselves a moment to respond back. Yes, this was a bit more of what they were expecting, ah well. They cleared their throat, attempting to regain some of the traction they have seemed to lose. Why was conversing with strangers so difficult? "Yes, I am indeed a medical doctor. My name is Dr Devon Holloway. While I hope no one does actually need it, I am here to help should anyone need any treatment." They folded their hands over the book in their lap, turning their attention to woman from across the aisle. "It is always a pleasure to meet another professional, Dr Ketzal." A small smile curled at the corner of their lips. Professionalism. This was a little more their speed. "May I ask what field your degree is in?" Devon blinked at Eir's question. "I brought books because we are going to be in a vehicle for a week and I thought it best to have something to keep myself busy with. I actually have several more packed away- this is going to be a very long trip. That being said, if you did not bring one and would like to borrow one, I can certainly lend you something."

Jin paused, briefly surprised before reaching out and taking the offer hand with a slight smile. "Jin. It is a pleasure, Dr. Ketzal," he said calmly, polite. "Mmh, I graduated last semester, so not a professor or researcher... yet." He wanted to be. He just needed to find a job. "I majored in History, Archaelogy, and Runes though." He nodded at them. "Pleasure to meet you. Both of you." He added, nodding to Eir and Devon. They had an actual doctor. That was a good thing to have on this trip.

"I dunno," Amity said to Tabi's comment on the team's current makeup, "Maybe this is too serious for a lot of students to be brought along? Or maybe they're all in another compartment. I saw a couple others before I climbed into this one." She added, looking back to Tabi and Jin.
"Nice to meet you all. I'm Amity," She added for the few that hadn't been in the compartment before. She pulled her bag to her lap, rifling through for a notebook. "Dr. Holloway's right. This is definitely the journey to finish a book series on..." Too bad she hadn't thought to bring any. Her thought had been exclusively on bringing what she might need when they get there, not so much what to bring on the way.

Tabi couldn't help but smile at the warm reception she was receiving from everyone around her - if it was this easy to make friends on the first leg of the trip, surely the rest would be a pleasant breeze! She didn't mind how crowded it was getting on the carriage - she honestly felt more comfortable with more people around. "Regular citizens?" she said with a bit of a lilting giggle, surprised at the use of phrase. Wasn't everyone a citizen, if not regular?
Then she nodded at the question on everyone's lips. "I'm a researcher, actually," she said proudly. "I have degrees in archaeology and anthropology. My doctorate is specifically in Ancient Naga and Bakeneko Studies. Currently I run educational tours in the ruins there, in the Swirling Sands, while I do my research studies on the side. I'm kind of excited to get out of the desert, actually. It's great to meet all of you." She could elaborate with the title of her thesis, but assumed nobody wanted to hear her go into a wordy tirade on her favorite subject. There were a diverse number of people of all different professions here - she was glad to have found a decent group.
"What are you reading?" she asked Amity, resting her chin on a hand. Surely it would be a bit more interesting than what she had brought along, herself.

Max had left his skateboard at home since traveling to the lost lands didn't seem a fitting place to go skateboarding, he did hope to find some adventure on this trip though. Being a hallowed imp he had grown up in the bellow so this was his first time in the Above and the level of light was taking some getting used to. He had bought a pair of sunglasses for the occasion, which had taken him a long time to find in the bellow. Max mostly spent his time sleeping during the first day of the carriage ride He yawned and stretched out waking up looking out the window as they traveled in the horseless carriages.
