Niko would arrive at Sal's. They were still closed, but Niko wanted to see if the forge was still open. She wanted to make some weapons for her styles. Sal wasn't there, only Jr. Sal was on a date with Sally. Jr. happily let her use the forge.
"Just show me what you make and clean up after yourself when you're done." With simple instructions she would begin. She cut the forge on and began to make her mold. She was going to use chakra steel on this weapon. She also needed a thick sturdy wire.
After the mold was done, Niko heated up her steel. It was chakra steel, so it took a bit longer to heat. As she waited, she began to craft her handle. Soon, it was finished heating. Niko would take the ore and place it in the mold.
After letting the mold set, Niko opened it and pulled out the unrefined blade. It was still rough and needed sharpening and polish, but it was still what she wanted. She tried infusing it with chakra. The blade fell down into the dreaded whip blade. Niko smiled as she went to put the handle on.
Niko would carefully place the blade in the handle. She had wanted to make this for a long time. She just didn't have the time. Today however, she sacrificed training to make time. This was just as important. With the handle on the blade, all that was left was to polish and sharpen the blade.
With a smile, Niko pulled out the wet stone and began to run the blade down it. Slowly, she grinded out the flaws and sharpened the hell out of it. It was then time to wipe the blade clean. The blade in Niko's hand was so magnificent. Just like the Yamakagashi, just with a different look.
"Wow Niko you made this? This is incredible! I've never seen a blade like this before. You gotta show me some time." Niko nodded. It was getting late, but Niko requested she use the forge for one more weapon. "Only if it's as cool as this." Then Jr. smiled and walked off leaving Niko to it.
With the forge on, Niko didn't have to do much. She started with her mold. Her concept was simple. A bracer that became a shield. She would need a good amount of chakra so she placed it in the metal before putting it in.
Then, she waited for it to heat. The sun had gone down and it was late. Niko didn't have much to do, so she started on the leather wraps. They were to her, the hardest part. The leather was easy to cut, but she was having trouble wrapping it around her own arm. Then, Niko got it together.
Niko removed the ore and placed it in the mold. The mold was smaller than before and Niko had to be careful. Even the slightest screw up, and she would lose all her work. The chakra had mixed with the ore perfectly, and Niko could see a feint glow from it. Then, she cooled it down and opened the mold.
The bracer was a success. Niko now only had to test it's abilities. She wanted it to do a specific thing. Become a shield. When she infused it with chakra, the shield activated. She became the same as she was in the dojo. She was excited. She just made two weapons. It took the rest of her day, and it was well past dark, but it was worth it.
"Okay now you're just showing off! I'm just playing. You're shaping up to be better than I thought Niko. Stick around will ya. We need you okay?" Niko would smile as she and Hisashi cleaned up. She walked out of Sal's with two brand new weapons, weapons that Niko would use in the fight against Don Juan.

Mission: Actual Smithing :: II x2 (Crafted Madoukishi (Mage Knight) and Mamushi (Snake Sword)
Niko awoke early and immediately went to Sal's. She was on a mission and she needed practice. She had another weapon in mind, but she would need to make a few before trying. She wanted to be sure she would make it right. When Niko arrived at Sal's, he was in an unusually good mood.
"Ah you want to make some weapons? So early too... Well, we are kinda running low. I'll give you a list and you can get started. It's good to see you today kid. It's a looking like a really good day!" Niko laughed and with that, she was off. She went and turned on the forge and got busy on the weapons.
Niko started with a mold for a large sword. It was like the nodachi she just purchased. The mold was a lot larger than normal, so she had to be real careful. The trick would be getting the ore in the mold.
After picking the steel, Niko would place it in the forge. She started the handle next while it melted. The handle was rather large too. Niko messed up a few times, but in the end she got it down. She then went back to the forge. She removed the ore and VERY carefully poured the ore. After almost spilling it, Niko was finished. With a sigh she moved on.
She cooled the blade and put the handle on it. It was almost as tall as she was standing up. Still, Niko made it. She was proud of herself. All that was left was to sharpen and polish. Niko would wait however. She had a good idea for the next weapon as well.
Niko prepared the ore and put it in the forge. Then she quickly made a handle. She was tasked with making a battle axe. After the handle was down, Niko made the mold. It was much smaller than the sword and took less time. Niko then was ready to pour the ore. As she did, Niko took a deep breath. When the ore was in the mold, Niko began to make the handle for the next weapon. She got pretty far before returning to the ore. It was now an axe. Niko smiled as she put the handle on it and cooled it. Now it was time to sharpen and polish. Niko again moved on without doing so.
With the forge still being hot, Niko prepared the next mold. This time she was making a hook sword. An uncommon weapon indeed, Niko struggled a bit. The mold was tricky. Too thin at the top, the blade would be too flimsy. Too thick at the bottom and the weight is thrown off. It needed to be even the whole way through. Niko did the best she could and managed to find a sweet spot.
Then, she placed the ore in and began on another mold. This one was for a dagger, so it was quick and easy. Niko only had to make a small cut and with that, the mold was done. The ore was also done and she quickly poured it. Soon she cooled it and then she placed the handle on it with no problem at all. The weapons she made so far would all be beautiful when she sharpened and polished them.
Niko was still going when Sal came back. They needed about six weapons and Niko was already at three. She made a large sword, an axe and a dagger. There were still things on the list when Sal looked over the weapons. "The craftmanship here is good. Tell me though, why wait to finish?" Niko smiled and told him her secret. "Oh I see. That's actually not a bad idea. You might have to teach me how to do that!" They would laugh as Niko continued.
The next weapon on the list was a tricky one. Niko was tasked with making an armored gauntlet. This would be hard. She had never made a mold like this before. The measurements were there so it would be easy, but the mold itself was hard to cut. So many twists and turns, the weapon was going to be hard to craft.
Niko put the ore in the forge. For her plan to work, she needed a special ore. She used it on all of the weapons. She had a secret too. The weapons were all going to be the best ones she made yet. The would shine and sparkle so bright, bright enough for someone to see a mile away. That was an exaggeration, but Niko was going to get the job done.
The ore was soon ready and Niko poured it into the mold. The mold had a piece blocking where the hand was supposed to go. There was just enough room to flow the ore carefully, but she had to do so slowly. She was almost pouring for five minutes before she was done. Then, with a sigh, she opened the mold. She had her eyes closed, and when she opened them, she was pleasantly surprised.
The armored glove was a success. With the glove done, Niko was not at four weapons. They still all needed to be sharpened and polished, but Niko's plan was going to work. Niko looked at the list for the next weapon.
The weapon was... you guessed it, another katana. Niko's first crafted weapon was a katana. She had this one in the bag. She began with the mold. She molded it with the same one she did for Hatsukoi. Then, she put the ore in the forge.
This time, Niko was in no rush. Her plan was simple. With the use of clones and chakra, Niko would sharpen and polish the weapons to the point where the shine would reflect in the light. You could even see your face in them. Niko just had to be patient.
Then, the ore was done. She put the ore in the mold and went from there. The mold was better this time around and the sword had no flaws. Niko had almost finished. All that was left was the handle. The polishing and sharpening were going to be a piece of cake.
Niko had started on the handle but took a little bit longer on this one. She wrapped it in a blue cloth and gave it a pattern of an "X" instead of a diamond. Then, Niko put the blade in the handle and cooled it. Now, it was finally time to polish and sharpen.
Niko summoned all her clones. She made two per weapon. There were eight clones in total and they were all given the job of finishing the weapons. Each clone worked on something different.
One set of clones used a dual method of sharpening. One clone went up the blade, while the other followed it. The cut the sharpening time in half. Then, one clone wiped the blade off with the polish and the other infused the blade giving it a crazy shine to it.
The group with the gauntlet were having no issues. They both took turns inspecting and polishing it. It was easy to make shine, but there were parts that were still dim. They had to play around with it to get to the dim part. They almost dented it, and if they did, Niko would've lost it.
Next up was the axe. One clone polished while the other sharpened. They were doing so efficiently, each doing one side of the axe. It was then infused with chakra to give it that same shine. Niko's clones now had three of the six done.
The hook sword was the most difficult to sharpen the margin for error was so large. She was almost afraid to watch her clones work. But still, the shine it was getting was ridiculous. Maybe Niko would start doing this to all her weapons. Then she could be shiny Niko. Who wouldn't like a shiny Niko? Niko laughed to herself as she watched the last set of clones.
They had the dagger. In retrospect, two clones per weapon did make things go faster, but it was kind of redundant. Niko could have been made clones to help. She was probably just being lazy. She knew she had a lot of work to do but it would take to long to do it alone. Niko wanted to get it done.
With all weapons now sparkling and shiny, Niko was completely finished. Sal came back and looked them over."I never knew that worked. Coating the blade in chakra to make the polish shine out even more. These weapons look brand new!" Niko shook her head with a smile. Sal was definitely on one. His date must've went well.
Now with her goal in front of her Niko made the home stretch. She took a small break before getting into what she wanted to make. She just had to get the ore right. That was the biggest problem she had. But it was break time now, and Niko needed one asap.
After her break, Niko began work on her next weapon. This one was another bracer that was also a shield. The difference was that this shield was not a target or tower shield. In fact, it was a body shield. Niko had the vision when she made the previous bracer. If she could make a weapon that could contain chakra, then she could make one that disperse chakra.
The forge was still lit, though it had died down some due to her break. Niko got the fire roaring again as she worked on the mold. It would be the same, but Niko would try a different approach with the ore she would use. Soon, she finished the mold. The hard parts were coming up, but Niko was not worried. She was taking her time on this one.
Niko began to put the ore in the forge. The ore she used had a special property. It would carry chakra and then redirect it back outwards. If she put chakra in it, the chakra would then coat it and anything around it. As long as it was connected to the point of origin, the chakra would hold. That was Niko's plan.
She then had to cut the leather. She remembered the other day. It took her quite a few tries to get it right. She didn't want a repeat of that, so she tried to cut slowly, only going faster or cutting harder when she needed too. The straps were difficult for her. You would think that the "hammerin", the cooling, or the forge might be harder because of the strength it took to do those actions, but you would be wrong in Niko's case. It was the opposite for her.
The ore was now done. Niko needed to get the mold and pour in the ore. As she did, Niko thought about the final product. It was going to be another of her creations, a list that she was making a reality. Niko smiled as she tired to fill the mold as meticulously as possible. Soon, it was time to cool.
As she cooled the bracer, Niko began to make designs for more weapons. There was nothing concrete, but she would try to think of a couple good ideas. She knew for a fact that another Katana was going to be made. She was just thinking about what it could do. The bracer she was making now was for defense. The sword however, that would be straight offense.
Niko was just about done. Now came the "hammerin" and polishing. Niko would bang out all the buffs and get the bracer just right before adding the straps. Then Niko spent a good twenty minutes wiping it down and making it shine. She even put her chakra into it for the added flair. Niko smiled as she was now ready to test it.
As she put it on, she felt a little lighter for some reason. She had mixed in a bit of her chakra into the ore that was already special. She then infused it with chakra. The effect she wanted worked perfectly. A thin layer of white chakra surrounded her. It was lightweight but hard to the touch. Niko then expelled the chakra off of her, causing the shield to burst everywhere around her. It even made a breaking sound that was similar to glass.
Niko had succeeded. She was finally finished with her vision. She still had a few more things to do, but the meeting with the Kage was coming soon. Niko and Hisashi would leave Sal's feeling accomplished. Niko had a few things she wanted to do afterwards. She was just unsure where to start.

Falsa would find herself enter very thick mist. With the blanket of surrounding her, she would find a man with shark teeth swing a blade at her. He moved quickly to get within her sights as he then sliced down to strike her. Chakra surrounded his sword in his strike in the manifestation of water. This would cause Falsa to feel like she was getting struck with a tidal wave in addition to getting cut if she did not dodge.

Sure enough, the battle began the moment they arrived on the scene. A few things happened extremely quickly. Falsa was mostly unbothered by the mist as she knew the skill to see through it. Her words were curt as she directed her paths to move. "Scatter." In an instant, each of them carried out her orders. Nastascha put herself in front of the blade as Falsa leaped backwards, clearing twenty feet easily. The larger path body took the attack like a champ, letting the gash carve into her arm and the weight of the blow knock her aside, but it was all with a plan in mind. As she flew aside, she held her hand out in midair, good arm separating as a rocket fired of, aimed to slam into his face and knock him unconscious as opposed to killing him if it did hit.
And to ensure the attack did hit before his strike even succeeded, Sevastiana had thrown herself into the air and used her ability to manipulate gravity to shove downward with a Shinra Tensei, causing the weight to make his ability to walk all but nil. Vivi, the smallest of them, scampered away much like a child, having ran forwards and under the attack arc, leaping to stick to the side of a large warehouse about 15 meters behind where the initial attacker had went, almost like she didn't even care.
Jaeng-i was running away from the group, to Falsa's left side, getting about 25 feet back before she also turned and clapped together, waiting.
Vivi watched towards Jaeng-i, Mugen looked from behind Falsa and to the right, and Falsa herself stood facing where the fist was now rocketing to her assailant.
Clearly this was going to be a hassle. Still, he had his orders. The girl with the eyes had to lose at least one of her passe. If he failed, then he was going to have big problems to face at home. As the shinra tensei nailed him in place, he knew that he would have to get crafty to dodge. So, instead of trying to run, he instead channeled chakra through his weapon. The former mist ninja dissolved into water as he did so in time to dodge the point blank rocket. He then used the water transportation technique to move through the mist and arrive by the scampering child body. Once he reformed he drew his sword back and moved to impale her with a piercing strike through the chest. He just needed one of these bodies dead. The explosion of chakra would be the speed he moved to complete his task.

A cheap trick had saved his precious sharky face indeed, but for the moment he still had quite the insurmountable task ahead of him if he thought he could get the drop on any of them. As he recollected from the mist ahead of Vivi, she could see him there as clear as day, and as his bladed weapon came down overhead, the youngster held her smirk as he came rocketing towards her, and even though Nastascha was sprinting to catch up, Falsa herself wasn't actually worked up. She just needed to keep up the illusion of life, and with that in mind the woman made sure that Vivi waited until the very last second to avoid destruction, and avoid destruction she did, ducking below the blade and moving just past his form to the outside. In order to keep the distance betwixt herself and him, her hands pointed towards him, tiny body suddenly a projectile flying towards Nastascha as the wind blew heavy and thick from her finger tips, sending him flying away from her as the towering woman caught the much smaller one, who giggled as her companion slid back, flanked by Mugen and Jaeng-i who also stopped her from sliding too far back while stopping her from flying a literal mile. Ahead of her, a large portion of the Industrial Quarter would be leveled of anything not too well held down, rogue ninja included. With the demon raging elsewhere, the area should have been mostly empty, and enough of the area was tough enough not to have been destroying the same way trees would have been.
As for their enemy, Sevastiana, upon landing, had seen the plan in action, and used her Bansho Tenin to yank the rogue in her direction: right into the path of the wind. Falsa? She merely waited. [Tech Used:]
The fish face man had plans to avoid the wind attack before a strong force acted upon his body. It was for that reason that he had to act fast. Chakra molded through his sword in order to prepare his next technique. His body became encased in a suit of water armor to help endure the next attack. However, it would not be enough. The girl's wind ninjutsu would easily overpower him, and he was sent flying through the debris caused by the blast. The stream of dust and desolation carved a path with the man at the end of it. His entire body ached as he was indented into a stone wall. His scales were thankfully strong enough to keep him alive, but his internal organs were a mess. He would need intense medical care in order to survive. Not that it mattered, however. He failed his target. All of the bodies lived, and he was too injured to finished the task. He dropped his weapon. He figured Falsa would end it quickly enough, and his body was not ready to move to summon another attack. In the end, only death could await him.
A few seconds of quiet passed, with the man falling to the ground in his broken state. She stepped on her own time, much as she expected the world around her to do, crossing her arms under her chest and administering her with something akin to a look of disappointment and disgust. Beside her, Jaeng-i walked, with Nastascha and her super powered fist and the small Vivi on her shoulder, hung back. Where Sevastiana was could be anyone's guess. Jaeng-i grasped the man by his neck, and her rinnegan glowed as she spoke curtly to the man in a voice that embodied Falsa's frustration. "Do you know what's become of Shinsei Sanada?" When the fish faced rogue shook his head, Falsa and Jaeng-i both sighed. Mugen, standing atop an overturned cart, wiped away debris from his coat as the interrogation continued. [b"And if I were to let you go and tell you to seek out better employment options, under me of course, would you ever betray me?" A long pause followed, and the man gave no dissent to the notion of being loyal. Falsa spoke to him as Jaeng-i released his throat and began walking away. "Then come with me."
She continued at her own comfortable pace, putting up the man's hood to conceal his identity better. Off now to handle some more business. [Tech Used:]

Koutetsu arrived at the Industrial Quarters and quickly made their way down to the the mine itself. On the way down, he headed to the Equipment depot and borrowed a pick, shovel, whetstone, and sack for use. Checking the equipment for any noticeable damage, he made what repairs were necessary.
He could see several people at work, removing various materials from the walls. He passed them quickly, going deeper into the mine. He wanted to get further in, where he could extract ore alone.
Koutetsu slowed down and made his way into an adjacent chamber. He was familiar with the layout for the most part, as he had traveled down here with his mother in the past. He headed over to one of the walls designated for searching and began digging into the walls.
He continued to pick away at the wall. Occasionally stopping to shovel stone away from the site. Sweat ran down his back, chest, and arms as he worked. Striking once more, he hit something that felt different. Clearing more of the area away, he found a vein of ore.
For the next several hours, Koutetsu cleared the remaining area, exposing the vein in its entirety. Slowly but surely he began carving out the area, filling his sack with materials. When his bag was full, he carried it back to the surface.
He went through the sack and chose a select few ores to keep for his own work. Examining the Shovel and Pick for any demage, He used the whetstone to sharpen the pick and round off the edges of the shovel. Returning the tools to the equipment area, he paid the rental fee with the remaining ore.
Stretching out his sore muscles, He walked further into the Industrial Quarter's itself, heading towards one of the blacksmith's his mother knew on the island. Hopefully, she would be willing to let him work at her shop until Ulthane returned from his trip.

Koutetsu approached the store his mother's friend owned, Amelia's Arms and Armor. The store front was a bit of a mess, paint stripped off due to weather, the windows building up a layer of dirt and grime. Still, despite the dilapidated appearance, Koutetsu knew the inside would be clean. Opening the door, a little bell ringed to let anyone inside know there was a customer. Koutetsu walked in and saw Amelia taking a nap at the front desk.
She must have been up late working on orders, Koutetsu thought looking at the papers by her. He glanced up and saw the workshop was mostly clean except for a few items littering the floor. Koutetsu decided to let Amelia sleep and clean up for the start of the business day. He grabbed a broom and dust pan, beginning to sweep up lose materials.
While cleaning, he heard the door bell ring and looked up. An older gentleman walked through the door and immediately headed for the still sleeping Amelia. Koutetsu stopped what he was doing and moved to intercept. "Welcome, Sir, to Amelia's Arms and Armor. She's had a bit of a late night, Might I be of assistance instead?"
"I'm here to pick up order number sixty-seven." The gentleman said, looking Koutetsu up and down as if judging if he was capable. Koutetsu bowed slightly and moved over to where Amelia kept her Order listings, as he filtered through the scrolls, he took note that she had indeed been quite busy. Retrieving it, he noted that the gentleman had ordered a newly crafted medium breastplate, Making his way into the back, he found the requested item. Koutetsu ran a hand along it, feeling the contours of the breastplate. It was a burnished silver coloration, a bit gaudy for ninja work but perfect for gladiatorial contests. Carrying it back to the front desk, he quickly rang out the order and collected the payment.
As the gentleman left, Amelia began to stir. Koutetsu put the payment in the storage box. "Aaah," she yawned stretching her arms up over her head. Blinking, she looked over to her right and seemed surprised to see him there. "Oh, Koutetsu, when did you get here?" Koutetsu gave Amelia a slight smile, "About an hour ago. Just finished filing away order Sixty-seven as complete. Payment is in the storage box.""Thanks. Its been busy since the attack on the village. We've been having to ramp up our production in preparation for war. Though, you should already know that being a big bad Ninja now. How's the life treating you?" Koutetsu chuckled darkly, a lack of humor among the laughter. A voice coming from the depths of his conscience chastised him, "Now, don't be rude to the lady." Koutetsu glowered for a moment and then shook his head, "I'm on...leave." Koutetsu almost let out that he didn't know if he would ever be allowed back."Leave? I didn't think ninja would have leave in the middle of a war. Something happen?" Amelia asked concerned. "Mom was at the Uzukage's office when it went down. She didn't make it." he said turning away. Amelia grabbed him from behind, her head resting on his shoulder. Koutetsu could smell sandalwood, a scent she always seemed to carry about her. "I'm so sorry for your loss, Kou. If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know." Koutetsu could make out the tears on her face, and awkwardly patted her hands as he pulled away. "I need a place to work. Ulthane received Mom's ship, and he had to leave. I'd like to work here, if that's alright. At least until I'm called back." Amelia nodded, wiping the tears from her face. "Of course. my forge is yours."
Koutetsu obtained several cleaning supplies and made his way out front where he began cleaning the windows and the rest of the shopfront. He sanded down the wood frame and added a fresh coat of paint. Satisfied that it appeared more presentable, he headed back inside.
For the next several hours, Koutetsu worked alongside Amelia. Their teamwork improved quickly. Koutetsu even showing her how he could meld his bloodline into a work to create a more formidable alloy. He demonstrated this by forging a sword. Its black colored blade seemed to absorb the light around it.
While they were finishing up the morning rush, Amelia turned to face him, "Kou, I'm about finished here and will close up for lunch. Do you mind dropping off order Seventy-three at Emilio's? You can have the rest of the time off to do as you wish." Koutetsu agreed and after obtaining the ordered items, set off to Emilio's down the street.
Emilio's was a glassworkshop. They require fine blades for etching into the glass and Amelia was their major supplier. Koutetsu entered the shop and after a pleasant conversation, handed over the items. As they had paid upfront for the items, Koutetsu didn't have to return to the shop. Koutetsu waved goodbye to Emilio and headed out of the industrial district. I haven't seen Sumiko since it happened. I should probably let her know I'm okay.

Appearance/Apparel:
The first image below (spoiler) reflects her physical appearance as well as her typical apparel. She wears stylish glasses over basic make up with a thin white shirt that is waaaay toooo soft, comfortable, and snug to look this thin. Her shirt is not lengthy yet drapes enough to make it a mystery if she is wearing anything underneath. However, when her shirt slightly lifts from time to time it reveals a garter set that conceals a good amount of skin but is still quite suggestive. She typically always sports a choker that she pairs with a leash for special occasions. Lastly, a pair of stylish heels that work well with her setup, since she is not very combative for a serial killer. Her outfits usually come in a variation of colors such as white, gray, and black, but time from time she may coordinate the colors differently to avoid being too predictable and plain. Shackles are laced around the ankles with chain bonds which are just for entertainment. Aya walked up to a building that had
been covered in graffiti. Personally
she loved graffiti and thought it was a
dying art, but she was not here for
the mona lisa. Aya would head into
the build where the lady would greet
her at the entrance from her desk.
There was some conversation about
what had occurred and what needed
to be covered, but it was pretty basic.
Aya was provided a water source
which was were she got her cleaning
supplies organized and ready. Aya
then took her bucket of soapy water,
a hose, brushes, and crawled up the
exterior of the building scrubbing.
She was able to stay on the walls
using chakra control. This was called
tree climbing, although it was not
solely used for climbing trees. Aya
knew paint did not come off easy,
but she wanted to become a chuunin.
Unfortunately this is where she had
to start. After hours of scrubbing, she
would climb down from the wall and
begin to rinse the letters off the
building. After completing the
mission, she cleaned up the
equipment and headed off.
As Aya was heading home, tired and
in need of nourishment, she would
see buildings tagged. She would sigh
knowing they would probably expect
her to clean this up. Unfortunately for
whoever caused this mess, Aya was
the right one to come after them.
Aya would walk up to her home and
sigh before pulling out the equipment
once again sulking. Once her home
was free of art, she would place a
genjutsu on her home for those who
touched it. Some innocent people
would get caught, but sometimes
you caught octopus searching for
shark.

After cleaning up and going inside
Aya would take a shower. After
getting out the shower she realized
that she was comfortably running
behind schedule for her free lancing
gig. She were to advertise for that
creepy that wanted her to take those
pictures. He apparently had a shop
where people bought novelty items
and adult material. Aya came outside
in her typical outfit due to it's nature
alone. When she got to the store
she saw they had opened up already.
Rushing in, Aya waved to the store
owner and immediately got up on her
platform at the front of the store in
the glass window display. That's
where she posed like a manican in

"Temper temper. Hammer it home." "Temper temper. Hammer it home."
Koutetsu made his way back to the mining complex and borrowed tools. Walking back to where he had last been mining, Koutetsu considered what he might make later. I already have a solid batch of Kunai. The academy students could use some shuriken and perhaps a few blades for those who wish to study Bukijutsu. Maybe something a little bit special too.. He sat down and sharpened the tools in preparation, still considering his options..
Though he had been dismissed from active duty as a Shinobi, Koutetsu knew he had to stay in shape in case he was called back in. After a brief stretch, he traveled over to the wall he had dug through on the initial vein. He followed along and noticed a slight discoloration on the edge.
Determining it to be a different type of ore as he had previously mined, Koutetsu brought out a chisel and hammer. Carefully, he chiseled around it to expose it. After further examination, he was sure he could make use of this particular ore.
Grabbing a shovel, he scooped away the stone that he had broken free and moved it away from the work pile. Using the pickaxe, he chipped away at the surrounding stone, til he had cleared the obstructing material. Koutetsu removed the loose debris before going back to work on the ore itself.
Again and again, he struck at the wall, breaking off large chunks that suited his needs. Sweat dripped down his face and Koutetsu took a moment to wipe it. He had filled his sack with what he could and headed outside. He took a breath of fresh air and walked over to the equipment shed.
Koutetsu wiped down the tools with sand paper to take some of the dirt, dust, and grime that had accumulated and then sharpened them with a whetstone. After returning his tools and trading in any extra for the rental fee, Koutetsu headed back into the shop area of the Industrial Quarter.
Arriving at Amelia's Arms and Armor, Koutetsu saw a sign that read Out to Lunch. He tried the door to find it locked. Taking a moment to pick it, he made his away inside and locked it back up. He grabbed a broom and briefly swept the place as he made sure there were no flammable scraps laying around.
Koutetsu, satisfied with the brief clean up, headed over to the forge. He set his bag of materials to the side and bent down to light the forge, tossing in coal to serve as fuel.. As the forge heated up, Koutetsu gathered the tools he needed to begin work on his crafting projects.
He first set about forming the molds needed. Beginning with Shuriken, he filled the melting pot with the measured amount of ore needed. Koutetsu concentrated and released a slow pour of Black Steel into the melting pot. He poured the resultant material into the first set of molds and let it sit.
Making another batch of melted steel and other metals, Koutetsu used the bellows to maintain the heat. Setting them aside, he removed the now cool Shuriken from the mold and refilled the molds using the new melted alloy.He placed the formed shuriken into a bin for sharpening later.
As the second batch continued to cool, Koutetsu prepared for the third. placing the materials into the melting pot, he let them heat up. He looked around the room and found a few other molds to prepare working on a different style of weaponry. After prepping them, He removed the second batch of shuriken and filled the molds with a third.
Koutetsu raised the heat in the forge and made sure to make enough material to forge three bars of black steel. Setting the first into the forge to heat it up, he prepared the tools needed. Pulling the first bar out with a pair of tongs, he set it on the anvil and hammered it flat. He continued the process, reheating when necessary, as he folded it.
He set aside the first and began on the second. He poured additional material into a set of pre-treated molds to form various pieces. After he had finished folding the second blade, he withdrew the third rod from the flames and set to work on preparing it for its inevitable transformation.
Finalizing all the pieces took a lot of effort. Koutetsu had to grind out edges where it needed to be round and sharpen those that needed to cut. For the next hour, he fit each piece until he had formed three separate katanas.
For the last weapon he would create for the day, Koutetsu forged a solid chunk of steel. Koutetsu chiseled out four individual rings, banded together to form a handhold.Then once that was complete, he reheated the steel and hammered it into a wedge shape. After he was finished, he gathered all of the weapons and sharpened the edges needed.
Koutetsu carefully wrapped all of the weapons in protective material then placed them in a box.Locking the door behind him, Koutetsu thought to himself, I hope this will be enough for the academy students. He took the box with him as he headed home to his apartment.
