The Eridani princess scoffed, “I’d rather him be creeped out than be a creep.” Her one wish in this entire endeavor was that Alessandra remained unharmed. If the man attempted any subterfuge, tried to make a fool of her in any fashion, then she would not hesitate to make his intentions known to all at the ball. It was well known to those in high society that being deigned unsavory was tantamount to social death. He would be banished from their circle and his family ventures would likely never succeed ever again. As to the ball providing a certain amount of cover for any antics, the teenager already determined that she would remain as close to Alessandra as possible. Of course, there were to be formalities involved. Items of political and royal business that she could not neglect while in attendance. The man could deem these moments to act. Mizuki hoped that perhaps Chloe might be available in such cases to prevent him from doing so. Hearing the girl's assertion of faith, “I suppose you’re right on that matter.” Her lips curved upward in a grin. Alessandra had grown over the years in many ways. Their last meeting demonstrated that point. No longer the meek and shy girl, she appeared more empowered and confident in her abilities. “She isn’t the little Ale that we played with as children.” No, she was far more than that, and Mizuki should properly acknowledge her growth. Quirking her brow, the younger girl could not suppress a giggle. “It’s not mining,” she corrected warmly. “They are Anthropologists. They study the past and our world’s history. But, I do agree. It is odd how well known she has become. A stark contrast to when we were kids. It’s also crazy that we both met her as children.” Her smile broadened as she added, “And now we know one another.”
Once the subject changed to the royal ball, Mizuki found herself uncertain of how to approach Chloe’s insistence that she attend. It was endearing to the Eridani princess to hear her newfound friend desire her company. However, there would be difficulties with her proposed “invitation.” Thinking quickly, the cerulean-haired teenager asked, “As princess, aren’t you allowed to issue invitations of your own? If that’s the case, then you can simply write one up and hand it to me. Then nobody will be able to deny my admittance.” She disliked having to conceal the fact she was already invited to the ball. Mizuki could not be certain how the Fiore princess would take her deceit in the matter. All she could wish for was for her to forgive when the time came for it. That is days away yet, she told herself, sighing inwardly. I will simply have to hope for the best when it arrives. Until then, I will not concern myself with it. In a bid to redirect the subject, the princess returned to the discussion of proper attire for the royal ball. “Well, we could go shopping,” she suggested with a non-committal shrug. "If we can find Alessandra, then perhaps all three of us could look for appropriate gowns. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about whether we show up in horrible fashions or not.” Mizuki did not believe for a singular second that Chloe would be able to turn down the idea. She had not known her for a long time, but the brunette’s love for spending had become clear almost instantaneously upon their meeting.
❤︎ ; What Mizuki was saying was kinda true, it should be more fitting and okay had someone supposedly gone out to marry your friend be creeped out by your constant gazing, more opposed to someone that was just a total creep sent to sabotage your friends very life. "Never thought about it like that, guess you're right!" Chloe would agree to her friends words of wisdom certainly positive to live by; though she could only hope this man she allowed to the party wouldn't turn out to be a total whack job. Than again, most civilians tend to kiss up to higher achies, just so they can redeem them self for goodies. That was something that happens normally, and rather annoys her, but she guessed she could somewhat understand there point of view! The prayer of him being a good man held hopeful, if not what if Alessandra never forgave her? She couldn't possibly be mad, could she? She hoped not, she wouldn't let some guy ruin her relationship, after all it was friends before boyfriends! That was the female rule, all girls should follow by that logic. She would smile as Mizuki agreed to her statement of Ale being a big enough girl to defend herself quite fine, and more so take great care for herself! If that man ever slipped up and messed with her friend, than she'd have the kingdom to defend Ale to the very end! After all, she was friends with a lot of the people within the royal family, she and her family were a big deal around here. If he dared hurt her, he'd never be allowed a moment of peace ever again. Walking the streets in Fiore would become a living hell for him, and Chloe would see that lifestyle fit for a total creep, someone who dared hurt her friends would deserve more than jail, she figured it'd be better to just kill them off. Slowly but surely, she came to realize she had figured Ale's parents jobs wrong, Mizuki informing her. "Ahh pfft, whatever, I knew that! See, boring, just like I said!" Chloe would say proudly of herself to be right about something, at least she thought it was. Though she agreed with what Mizuki was saying, continuing on. "Well her parents gotta get income somehow, best to make it with the castle, they'd be paid handsomely! I think some might call this..destiny." Chloe would whisper the last word, winking to her friend because really, how could fate not be involved in something meeting up in such a unique way?
The fiore princess would stare blankly, as if there was nothing on her mind, but she was just slowly interpreting Mizuki's words and feeling rather embarrassed. "Ahaha, I knew that! I just thought..us..sneaking in would be way more fun! But we can be all casuall too." Chloe would laugh awkwardly, trying to covering up the thought that she hadn't even come to think of that. Hurriedly, she pulled out a invitation and wrote Mizuki's name on it slowly with her pen made of diamonds, handing it to her friend with a smile. "One invitation for you!" She would give her, though the awkward tension still lingered. What broke her out of this awkward phase, was the words shopping spoken by her dear friend. "Really??? You would??!! Don't play me!!" Chloe grabbed onto the collar of her shirt, though calmed herself a bit as she released her grip, breathing it all in. She never guessed Mizuki would actually come to ask her of shopping with her, it felt so surreal! Before she said she didn't care for it, oh she couldn't contain the wait any further! She would listen as she explained hoping to run into Alessandra, but if not they could set around town looking for the most beautiful dresses in all of Fiore, or at least that's what she kept thinking on her mind! "Great idea! With my judgement, the two of you will have the most beautiful gowns! I know the best shopping outlets, some of the best in the country!" Chloe cheered with enthusiasm, she shopped just about everywhere so she remembered every store down to the last detail by heart. If there was a perfect one, she'd know it. There was one intention Mizuki was hoping to fulfill, while the question aroused in the air. "Where exactly can we find Alessandra though, the library??" She remembered her being a total book nerd, so that was her first guess. She could be out exploring too, that was another but whatever explorable area she was uncertain of. 👑 Company: Mizuki👑Emotions: Happy!👑Thoughts: "SHE ACTUALLY WANTS TO SHOP, YAY ME!!👑OOC: Sorry for the wait! : o
Mizuki laughed, “I somehow think Ale and her parents would disagree with it being boring.” She winked at the other teenager, knowing full well that Ale’s family relished their work. They truly loved studying the past and learning from it. That passion is what made them the best at what they did, and it didn’t go unnoticed by those in the adjoining kingdoms. In a sense, Chloe had been correct. Even though the Poe’s didn’t care about monetary gain, they certainly earned a handsome salary each time they took on a mission from a kingdom. Yet it was the intellectual gain which she believed they cherished most. The grin upon her features broadened further with the concept of destiny bringing them together. “I must agree. Nothing but destiny could have three utterly different individuals cross paths and become friends in the way we seem to have managed. It’s nice.” A brief silence settled between them. Mizuki spent the moment contemplating what it would be like had she never met Alessandra or Chloe. Her life would likely be far more boring and lonely. Fate is certainly an intriguing concept…
Chloe’s awkward laughter drew her attention back to the princess. It was clear to anyone that she hadn’t thought of the invitation at all. Though Mizuki feigned as if she believed the girl. “Sneaking in would be fun,” she grinned, “But I imagine it’d be difficult to move around in a ball gown. Sneaking around in clothes such as those isn’t the most comfortable.” Taking the invitation from Chloe, she inclined her head in gratitude. “Thank you. This will allow us a lot more freedom. As well as more time to find those secret passages I suspect lie within your castle. Maybe we could excuse ourselves from the ball if it grows boring to look.” The princess thoroughly enjoyed the prospect of finding hidden tunnels in the castle of Fiore. It could be considered a hobby of hers to hunt them down. Most mansions and castles held at least one such secret. She wasn’t able to contemplate the tunnels for long. Chloe latched on to her suggestion of shopping like a cat would to catnip. Mizuki held no doubts that she would. While she despised shopping, she understood the underlying benefits it afforded her. Not only would she gain appropriate attire, but she would be able to spend time with her friends.
“I’m not playing you,” she chuckled, shaking her head. “I’m serious. With my traveling, I must pack only those things I can carry easily. And a ball gown isn’t something I can do that with. Not to mention never having a need for one in my travels. I’m certain that Ale is in the same boat.” Nodding, she added, “With us in your capable hands, I’m sure we’ll be the life of the ball. Just do me a favor, okay?” Mizuki scratched her cheek nervously. “Promise me we won’t shop entirely for dresses or clothes? I can only take so much trying on of clothes before I start getting annoyed with it all. Even if we do it in spurts, that would be better than a marathon…if you know what I mean?” Hopefully, the Fiore princess would agree to her request. “As for Ale,” the cerulean-haired teenager tapped her chin, staring at the sky in thought, “The library is a good place to begin. We might also try her guild to see if she left word where she might be.” Trying to find a Poe no easy feat. They flitted about from place to place, leaving word of where they’d come from or gone only when they thought to. The two princesses had their work cut out for them if they wanted to track their friend’s whereabouts.

Chloe would stand with her mouth open, as if what Mizuki was stating hadn't made any sense to her. How could anyone not find such a boring job..well..boring?? That baffled her, how weird were this girls parents? "What freaks.." She would gasp; failing to understand how anyone could enjoy work as it was, how much of a weirdo would one have to be if they actually enjoyed boring work related things?? She'd listen as Mizuki explained how odd and neat it was, three friends all meeting up in the same way. One would call it destiny, others might call it fate. "It's weird how life works! One rich, one with rich parents but dress poor, and one poor. Not even destiny could explain that one!" Chloe would laugh, referencing about the three friends. These three were just destined to cross paths with each other and become friends, fate somehow pulled them together despite there odd differences!!
Chloe's smile grew wider upon Mizuki suggesting sneaking in, that sounded way more fun than just walking in with purpose. Besides, she enjoyed messing with the guards as they stood tall and never paid much attention to her teasing. This way they'd have no choice but to notice! Although as the girl continued, her smile would slowly diminish into a partial frown. "Ahh; you're right. Dang." She'd snap her fingers in total disappointment, but her smile returned upon her friends thanks for the invitation, glad to help her, even if helping others wasn't usually her thing! She rarely done such a thing, but sometimes for friends, she'd never question her motives! What's more, Mizuki still pointed out she'd help in finding those secret passages, now she was striking gold! "Yes!! You're so my hero, I'll pay you handsomely to teach me them!! I need some escape routes just in case my usual one is found out." She'd say with a casual wink, loving her even more as she pointed out excusing them self from the ball, should it become boring. "Thank you!! Ball's can get soooo boring. But all those people most likely came to see..MEEE. I can't dissapoint the viewers!" Chloe would state, figuring everyone there would arrive to see her and her brand new dress. "Maybe some boy will get the hits on you too! You're a pretty good looking female." She nudged at the girl with a smirk using her elbows, wondering if maybe she could find someone there to dance and totally make out with Mizuki. Sometimes, she would call herself the love striker, and help girls find the love of there life, setting them up with some real hunkies! It was just a hobby really, a fun and entertaining one at that.
The teal haired girl wasn't denying the truth as her words were suggesting, Chloe releasing her grip from her and clapping happily. "Yay me!! I am going to help you get the finest, most grand dress I can find, one that fits you super well! Don't you worry Mizuki, your fashion is in very good hands! Alessandra's as well!!" Chloe cheered as she soon became super excited to pick out the style of dress for both of her friends, hoping this dress would really show off to any males they might come across! Alessandra already had a mystery man arriving, but Mizuki seemed single, she'd need a nice rich and gorgeous looking man as well! Once she'd wear a drop dead gorgeous dress, it was bound to happen! Although, she wasn't finished there as there was a favor being asked of, as Chloe stared and wondered what that could be. She would nod in acceptance, she could understand that. Trying things on over a thousand times would become a hassle, but she did enjoy it herself! However, others would see it differently; and that was okay. "Gotcha! I will be sure to pick out the top picks for you than, and you can try on the few and see what you like best!" She would say with a smile, not wanting to annoy her in the least. Soon the conversation would turn to finding Alessandra; and the two wondering where the best places would be to begin there search for the blonde. She'd laugh akwardly at the mention of the library, truth be told she didn't enjoy hanging around libraries. They were too quiet and nerdy for her; she hated them actually. But as long as it would only take a few seconds of searching, she guessed it would be fine. "Librarry??-uh ok! Maybe someone in the library or her guild too we can ask! Yay us! Let's track down that girl and get her a banging dress!" Chloe would say as if she were acting cool with her tone of voice, like she had shades on. She may have grown up here, but honestly she never kept track of libraries, and didn't even know where it was because she never cared enough to open her eyes and look at one. Oh well, hopefully Mizu knew! Best to follow her side and not question a single thing!
“I wouldn’t go that far,” the Eridani princess chided lightly. “There are multiple reasons why they might like their line of work. From what I understand, it may not even be as boring as we imagine it to be.” Tales of mysteries and danger often came from the Poe’s line of work. Legends of hidden passageways lined with secret dangers protecting a treasure were often passed along. Mizuki remembered overhearing one such tale herself during a dinner party at the castle. The Poe’s were, of course, invited and regaled the Kagehoshi’s and their staff with a legend or two. But Chloe did not linger long on the matter. Her focus shifting to the whims of fate. Again, I would not put it quite like that, the teenager felt a bead of sweat roll down her temple at the brunette’s wording. She smiled meekly and chuckled, “I’m not certain about that. Alessandra doesn’t seem all that poor to me.” Mizuki did not even wish to get into the discussion about current attire. To her, the clothes she wore were not all that poor in taste, design, or expense. Although, she recognized that the one uttering such things was Chloe. A girl whom prided herself on possessing the newest and most expensive items available and judged a person more on wealth than merit. Her words should not be surprising in the least.
Mizuki found amusement once again in her friend’s enthusiasm to sneak in. Her lips curved upward in a grin as Chloe realized the truth of her words. Sneaking into a ball in a ball gown was no simple task, to say the least. They would likely dirty their gowns in the process, which would not do in a royal setting. In lieu of this, the younger princes offered up a compromise. Her delight growing further when Chloe agreed. “You don’t have to pay me for it,” she laughed. “I enjoy the challenge of finding them! Some are more obvious than others, of course, but that’s what makes interesting. I must admit that I’m curious to see what sort of secrets your palace holds.” Were she to wager, the cerulean-haired teenager imagined there to be at least one hidden in the castle library. No matter whose mansion or castle she entered, it never failed to have a secret passage tucked away behind the many shelves. “Th-thanks,” Mizuki blushed at the sudden change in topic. “Although, I’m not usually the most…talkative when it comes to parties. Most of the boys who approach at social events are looking for a single thing.” And it was the truth. Many of the princes and nobles whom attended her family’s formal balls desired to know her simply because of her status. It was a game to them. To see which of their number would be fortunate enough to find her good graces, and thus her family’s.
Her unease multiplied. Chloe appeared far too excited for dress shopping. I hope I haven’t made an error in this… Fortunately, the Fiore princess took her request to heart. Mizuki relaxed on an instant, pleased that she would not be forced to endure hours of endless dresses. “That sounds like an excellent plan,” she smiled brightly. “Thank you. I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun then!” The teenager’s grin faded a little once she sensed the mild unease in the other’s tone. It was obvious that Chloe disliked the idea of the library. Yet, where else could they begin? Alessandra was a bookworm through and through. If she were to be anywhere in the city, then the library would be priority. “I’m sure it’ll only take a moment,” she tried to place her friend at ease with the idea. “If I know Alessandra, we’ll need only look for the largest pile or stack of books. She’ll be right in the center of it. Likewise, if we don’t see such a thing, then we can assume she isn’t there and move on to speaking with her guildmates. Okay?” Mizuki waited for the brunette’s response before shifting her attention to their next task. “Now, we just need to locate the library.” She decided to refrain from asking Chloe, assuming based on her prior reaction that she held no clue as to where the building might be. Her teal orbs cast about while she pondered the possible placement. “Come on,” the princess tugged at the other’s sleeve, gesturing down a side street. “Let’s see if it’s this way.” Without another word, she started off towards the structure which had caught her eye a second ago.

Mizuki had a great point and what she was saying made plenty sense, however Chloe hated every fiber of work, anything that required more effort than necessary, she hated it and pretty much assumed everyone else should not enjoy work as well, as it only tired one out, or maybe that was just her. Chloe would take a minute to stand there and almost believe her friend, though it wasn't enough. "Nah, I doubt it! Work isn't meant to be fun, it's how peasants make there money. It's more of something they have to do, chores aren't supposed to be fun!" She would suggest, failing to believe in Mizu's words with her own opinions on the matter. The Fiore princess would nod in believing her own statements, not even taking a moment to consider others would have different opinions who actually did enjoy there jobs. She never thought someone would actually come to think that, it would make no sense to her! Chloe listened as Mizuki explained how Alessandra wasn't poor, her expression seemingly shocked upon the odd statement, it baffled her! "Are you kidding me? Look at how she dresses! It's low quality, I have nicer looking bed sheets!" She would mock with a simple laugh, making fun of her friends clothing choices. She wasn't even sure where she found such dreadful clothing options! It was pretty rude of her to judge ones clothes, but that's just how she was. If it wasn't the most expensive designer brand, she was going to judge that persons clothes until the light of day! There were times however if someone's outfit was truly awful, she'd even pass out among her eyes connecting to look at it! Chloe would clap upon Mizuki's words of not having to pay her, that she truly enjoyed the search to find hidden areas within castle walls! "Yay me!! There's probably loads of hidden compartments! It's like one big treasure hunt!" She would state with excitement, the thrill of having the chance to find some extraordinary entrances that she never knew existed because she could not find them herself! Plus, since she didn't have to pay a single dime, she'd have more to spend on her selfish self!
Changing the topic, Chloe described wishing to search for a boyfriend for her dear friend Mizu as well, however she seemed to be a bit embarrassed by the sentiment. "No worries, the way to win a mans heart is by giggling and flicking your hair! There's no requirement in talking!" While Chloe was pretty great at setting up couples, she was not the greatest at keeping them together. Most relationships required actually talking with one another, liking the same things as each other. That's not how she figured it, it would probably be wise for Mizuki to not take her advice. The Fiore Princess smiled upon her friend agreeing willingly, happy to hear she was totally on board with the idea. She was so craving shopping right about now, but she would have to tone it down a bit so Mizuki wouldn't get stressed with too many long hours of shopping! She was just super happy she got to enjoy one of her favorite past times with a good friend! As excited as she was for shopping, the same couldn't be said about taking a moment to visit the library in search of Alessandra. However she hoped Mizu was right and it would be a quick in and out trip, maybe this is how she felt about shopping! Polar opposites right there in fun hobbies. "Ahaha, that sounds fine! We'll just be in and out! " Chloe would laugh awkwardly, hoping to get that chore out of the way as quickly as possible. The next course of action stated by Mizuki was to stroll around town in search of a nearby library, there had to be one somewhere! The question was where exactly? Mizuki would grab onto her, pointing her out straight ahead to continue the search for the library, Chloe following right along with her. "Maybe we can ask around if we can't find one!" She would point out, she just wanted to diminish any kind of work in finding the place as much as possible, whatever it took!
It appeared as if Chloe would never see reason where it came to work. Where she deemed it a task for the common man, something entirely devoid of fun, Mizuki saw it in an altogether different light. Work was a necessity to learn and grow. It provided an opportunity to develop social skills while also forging character. True, it could prove difficult, depending on the job at hand; however, if someone truly enjoyed their profession then, no matter the trouble, one would find pleasure in it. Such was the way of the Poes. Theirs was a taxing vocation which yielded immense happiness to them. “It’s perspective,” Mizuki tried one final time to explain it to her friend. “Think of it as this. Shopping is something you consider fun, right? You don’t consider it a chore in the least. However, for one such as me, shopping is a task. A job that brings me little pleasure, depending on what it is I’m shopping for. Work is the same for those who must. Yes, they need to do it in order to live, but it can also make them happy despite the labor.” The Eridani princess waited to see what Chloe might say to her analogy. She learned rather swiftly that relating concepts to shopping helped her fellow princess realize and understand certain things. Whether she took it to heart or not was a different beast. Chloe’s next words served to prove one such opinion, “She finds them comfortable is the point. Shouldn’t that be what matters?” Mizuki doubted her companion would agree, but that did not stop her from asking. In a bid to deflect further comments on the subject, the pair turned to speaking about hidden passageways and secret rooms. It was a subject the younger girl could more fully endorse. “It very much so is,” she beamed, recalling her own hunts in the past. “You’ll never know what you’ll find in some of them too. And some of them will surprise you with their location, as well as to where they lead.” To be certain, those times seeking out hidden areas in mansions and castles were some of the most fun the young princess could remember. A nice break from her moments of wandering farther from her destiny.
Her thoughts were kept from straying too far onto the subject by none other than Chloe. The elder princess expressed her desire to see Mizuki prosper in the realm of love, much like she wished for Alessandra. Blushing, the cerulean-haired teenager listened to her advice before nodding. “I know. It’s just that—if I were to find love then I want it to be someone who doesn’t see my title and strive for it. I want it to be true love. Which, when it comes to social events, is more difficult to find than usual.” She was certain, if she were to reveal the number of suitors she turned down, Chloe would be utterly floored. The boys whom tried to win her heart were nothing more than title mongers. Children who wished to win her hand so they might become the next king of Eridani. It was a game she did not play. Matters she did not compromise on. “Anyway,” she shook her head, taking the other girl’s hand in hers and leading the way. “Let’s see if we cannot find the library. That building in the distance looks promising.” Glancing over her shoulder, she smiled in agreement with Chloe’s assessment. “We’ll try the one building first. If that’s not the one, then perhaps someone in that area might be able to assist us.” One thing was for certain, they would learn of Alessandra’s whereabouts soon enough. Mizuki could warn her to be on her guard without ruining the surprise for Chloe while the trio shopped for their evening attire.

Despite how sincere and true Mizu's words compared to work were, Chloe was just never going to see eye to eye with her, or anyone who considered work more enjoyment than a necessity. To her, labor and working your butt off in order to attain money, was all boring on its own and barely rewarding with how little jobs pay. She's just glad she gets all of her money from her father, because working for money would be the worst. Where one saw fun in work, she saw tedious. Chloe couldn't even seem to wrap her head around someone finding shopping boring and somewhat like a job, they were defiantly polar opposites when it came all down to shopping and working. Still, she gasped upon her suggesting such a thing to be taken into consideration. "How can you hate shopping so much?? Is this because you're poor? Ah, I could probably understand that than." She would say as if understanding while nodding her head, she still didn't know who she really was, and figured she possibly hates it merely because she can't afford the nicer variety of things to buy, the more expensive unique items. "It's probably not as enjoyable if you can't afford the nicer more expensive variety." Chloe would point out, assuming that to be the case and still not truly getting it or understanding. It appeared Mizuki didn't mind Alessandra's sense of dressing, pointing out that what really mattered was comfort, while that was a good key factor, she really never understood comfort over style. "Comfort is fine, but if you got no style, what do you even have?" The Fiore princess would ask as if suggesting that everyone should have both, because if you didn't she'd just assume you really had nothing. To her, comfort was pointless if you looked like a walking trash bag.
The conversation soon returned to hidden passageways, a conversation she could talk about for hours, or until she got really bored. "Sounds like an episode of mystery house! Or in this case, castle edition! I can't believe I've gone so many years without seeing one, I'm totally missing out. I'm so hyped to see what's inside and what I've missed out on!" Chloe would say super excitedly, she just couldn't wait to see it all, whatever the hidden entrances bared. Who knows, maybe there's one that was built within the castle that no one had ever seen or come across! There were so many mysteries all waiting to be found! Mizuki didn't seem too keen on finding any love interests in the parties mix, while she could understand that, half the guys met at parties were very rich, and that was her kind of man. The richer the male was, the more gorgeous he looked, she'd be hitting on faster than speed passing light. "Title? What do you mean?" Chloe was super confused, feeling like she had missed something somewhere, and hoped to conclude whatever piece of information she had missed somewhere along the line, unsure of what she meant by having a title. "Letting a guy come to you can be true love! It will blossom, and before you know it, you're both getting married and having kids! Or possibly no snotty nosed kids, but defiantly keep that romance." If it wasn't known or made clear yet, Chloe really disliked children and she had good enough reasons why. Most were rude, obnoxious, snotty, boogery nosed brats, at least to her. While there were few she liked, the kids like these were mostly hated by her. However, the way Mizuki described her siblings, they seemed okay in her book of approval.
Chloe stared into the distance once Mizuki pointed out a rather tall looking building and assuming it to be the library, taking her hand and pulling her in the same direction to check it out. She had no idea what a library looked like, so to her it'd just look like an everyday building and no clue what went on in there. "Oookay! I hope there's a handsome looking man in there we can ask!" A realization would slowly hit her, having a light bulb flash in her mind before long. "Ahh, who am I kidding, what kind of hunk would be in a library?" Chloe questioned herself, though she followed alongside Mizuki in there onward search for Alessandra, and the libraries within Fiore that seemed quite hard to locate.
xx╰[★]━O O C」 IM VERY SORRY FOR THE LONG RESPONSE.crying I completely forgot about this, I swear I posted already, but I see I didn't. Sooo sorry. crying
Mizuki blinked owlishly. She was taken aback by the suggestion that her dislike of shopping pertained to her status of wealth. “No, it’s not that,” she chuckled once her mind had time to process the statement fully. “But when you’ve been placed in as many dresses and outfits as I have, none of which conform to my tastes, then the idea of shopping becomes a chore rather than fun. You don’t have to poor to hate shopping.” Chloe’s propensity to associate social status with everything did not fail to amaze the Eridani princess. Where one saw simple disdain for a task, the Fiore princess assumed presence of finances, or in this case lack thereof, somehow affected one’s view on it. The younger teenager could press the point further. There were many things she could name which might be considered more exciting than shopping. She also held a desire to denounce the notion of monetary value lending to its level of enjoyment. However, Mizuki recognized that Chloe was steadfast in her beliefs and views on the subject. She would not likely be swayed from them. They need simply agree to disagree on the matter. Mulling over the idea of comfort, the cerulean-haired teenager failed to think of a proper response. It always seemed to be an all or nothing proposition. Either have comfort and no style or have style with no comfort. It was rare for the two to coincide together, especially when it came to certain chic. “I admit,” Mizuki began reluctantly. “Finding the combination of style and comfort is never easy. I’ve had a decent struggle with that. Which, along with what I said earlier, is probably to blame for my dislike of shopping. Even so though, some people will always choose comfort over style and others will do the opposite. It depends on the person.” She shrugged her shoulders in a blasé gesture. Yet another topic they may have to maintain opposing viewpoints on.
Fortunately, the conversation drifted to a more mutual subject. Mizuki’s eyes were alight with anticipation for the hunt. “I’m excited to see what your castle holds too! Do you have a dungeon in the castle? If so, then I’d be willing to bet that your throne room has a passage down to it somewhere. That’s one of the more popular tunnels. A carryover from previous centuries I imagine. My favorite one is the bookcase passageway though. I hope you have one of those. They can be rather creepy and fun!” The Eridani princess could speak on the concept of hidden passageways and secret tunnels for hours. She had enough experience from hunting them in mansions and castles to write a book if she desired to do so. Her exhilaration was cut short in the end by Chloe’s question of clarification. Her face flushed slightly upon realizing her slip of the tongue. “Oh,” she searched for a solid answer. “You know…my title, as in Duchess or Lady. My family holds a noble title, so it will pass to me when the times comes. As such, boys tend to throw themselves at me in hopes of becoming betrothed. I don’t want someone who simply sees me for my family’s money. Unfortunately, parties and social gatherings bring them out in droves.” Her lips curved down in a thoughtful frown. If her companion knew of how many boys she had to dismiss… She doubted ever finding a man whom did not seek only status. Shaking herself from her fugue, Mizuki decided it was time to seek out their mutual friend. The teenager took Chloe’s hand and started off for the library. A faint laugh passed her lips, “Oh, you’d be surprised.” Their trek to the establishment took little time from where they had been. Their search within even less than that. One sweep around the grounds came up with no sign of Alessandra. Upon exiting the library, the Eridani princess stopped at the top of the stairs to ponder where the blonde might be. “Well, she is certainly not in there. Are there any other libraries in Crocus?” She could not recall there being another. If that were indeed the case, then they would need to branch out to Sabertooth.
✸ OOC ✸ Just going to keep posting in here until we move them elsewhere from Crocus altogether. smile

Chloe still just could not wrack her brain around the fact others would seriously consider shopping the same as a chore??? How was something like that even possible?? She enjoyed keeping up to date with all of the new fashion trends, didn't everyone enjoy having nice things?? Mizuki was surely an odd one when she'd known this about her! "You're a weirdo!! You got to at least keep up to date with the sparkly bling and outfits!" She would gasp into her own hand, taken a back even more by the fact her friend kept saying how much she disliked shopping. How could someone not enjoy searching for the items of there dreams??? Though she continued to listen to Mizuki explain herself, she just was never going to fully understand, because she found it the most joyous of fun!! Shopping always released stress, reduced depression, and just all around always had her in a good mood!! She could never be bored, not while she was looking for gifts to buy for herself! "Well hey, both comfort and style would obviously go hand in hand! But anyone who picks comfort, you're basically saying you're okay with looking like a trash bag as long as you're comfortable. Those are some terrible fashion advice!!" Chloe would state with a simple nod of her head, pointing out no one should ever follow in those bad tasting foot steps.
Mizuki seemed to be a thousand times more interested in the topic for the hunt in secret rooms! While that was great and adventurous fun, she also wished the girl accepted a more fashionable taste! At least she had a fun side, imagine a non fashionable side and a boring unadventurous type. If you couldn't have one, you certainly had another to pick from!! "Yessiree we have a dungeon!! Though, I've never actually been down there before. Daddy has his guards send bad guys down to those dirty pits, I guess they stay down there, I don't know. Hey hey!! Sometimes in movies, under the throne is where you find the underground area which opens a panel and reveals stairs!! Maybe that's where it is!" Chloe popped that idea in her head almost immediately, and could not hold back the excitement behind it. "Who builds these underground secrets anyways??" She couldn't help but question in a confused tone, wondering how they even go about those sort of things and who plans how they'll be. "Oh, we have a hugggeee library!! It's so big, you could get lost!! I wouldn't be surprised if there were more than one secret entrances in there!!" The excitement and thrill continued, this was the first time in years she actually couldn't wait to return home and find these that she'd never even known about or thought to look for.
While Chloe always had a craving for shopping, she had always loved being adventurous and quite mischiefe-ss as well. The fiore princess was confused when Mizuki stated something about a title about herself, she wanted to know more about this!! "Oh that title!!" She kinda hoped for a more interesting title in her friend, but you get what you get, in this case though; she always pretty much gets what she wants but this was about someone else. "Don't settle for some poor unfashionable dressed boys!! What you need, is a tall and handsome prince!! That's the kind of boy you should be ballroom dancing with! I should help you find one!" Chloe would suggest with the nod of her head, at a royal gathering, there was always a couple of princes around. In fact, she always was in search for one herself. Of course she'd keep the best looking one for herself, but the second best would go to Mizuki! "Don't worry Mizu! I'll keep the poor lowly boys away from you, and point any cute prince in your direction!" She pointed out, noting to herself to do just that. It shouldn't be very difficult, there were lots of princes that likely would like to take a swing at her friend. She was a cute girl after all!!
Chloe followed Mizuki as she grabbed a hold of her hand, sooo not wanting to ever walk into a library, but now she had no say in this. They had one goal in mind, to find Alessandra and prepare her lovely gown for the party! "Pfftt, I doubt it. Libraries attract nerds! Just look at Ale!" She would state shaking her head in a yes, she really could not believe any handsome men would be caught hanging around books. They ran all around much of the libraries perimeter, but Alessandra was no where to be seen. Who knows where this girl could be! She was going to prove to be very difficult to track down. When Mizuki asked if there were any other libraries in there location, she had to take a couple minutes to sit and stare blankly, trying to recall any. "Nope! I think this was the only one. I-I think anyways. What other areas does Alesandra hang around? Do you know??" Chloe would question, the truth was, she didn't remember all of the locations of the libraries, because she never payed attention to places that bored her to death. Maybe even suggesting another place was her way of avoiding libraries, but she realllyyy disliked any place where being quite was advised! Her library at home, she could be as loud as she liked!
xx╰[★]━O O C」 Sounds great to me!! : ) I so excited for party, it needs to happen soon!! heart
Their search for Alessandra had proven fruitless thus far. The entirety of the library had been scoured in search of their mutual fried, to no avail. Neither hide nor hair of the bookish girl could be found in the capital’s library. Mizuki hoped Chloe knew of another library within the city. Libraries were typically the better bet when it came to locating the blonde. Either in libraries or bookstores, if there was a book about, then rest assured Ale was not far from it. “Hmm,” the Eridani princess cupped her chin in her palm and pondered their conundrum. “Crocus is a large town. If there aren’t any more libraries, then we’ll have to check the bookstores instead. I’m certain there are plenty of those around here. Which can be both troublesome and helpful.” Glancing at her companion, she inquired, “You wouldn’t by chance know of where the bookstores are?” There was little hope for the answer to be yes. Chloe had made it abundantly clear what she spent her free time outside of the castle partaking in. It would surprise Mizuki greatly if she knew of where even one such store might be. That is not to say, however, that the brunette could not surprise her with her knowledge. “I’m not sure if we’ll find her there, but it’s the next logical step since it provides similar services. What do you think?” Should the Fiore princess lack the pertinent knowledge, they would simply have to ask someone in the area. The citizens of the town may be able to guide them to their next destination. Although, Mizuki recognized the less than enthusiastic attitude of her friend when it came to exploring such buildings. As much she wished to argue the point of them attracting “nerds” as she stated, there was no point in wasting the time and energy. Of course, the cerulean-haired teenager felt even her patience would grow thin if they were forced to search every bookstore in the vicinity. She wished it not to come to that for both of their sakes. If only I could summon Crux today. He would be able to guide us to her easily. But, alas, the Spirit requested her not summon him forth today. They would have to find Ale on their own steam.
✸ OOC ✸ Sorry this took so long and it's a bit shorter. It's been too hot in the house to do much typing sadly. Anyway, we can either spend a post searching bookstores or send the girls straight to Sabertooth. If we go to ST, then they'll likely get involved in the fight going on there. Do you have a preference?

Chloe still really disliked the idea of searching libraries, even hated. But if it meant hunting this childhood friend of theres and finding the finest dress in Fiore for the poorly dressed girl, so be it!! She followed the girls suggestions and ideas, hoping it'd lead to some kind of lead rather quickly, before her boredom drew past the brinks of falling asleep in the library. It was quiet enough in there, just enough to cause anyone to doze off. "Bookstore? Is there even a difference between those?" Chloe questioned, assuming libraries and bookstores were one in the same, just different ways of saying them. "UUHHH uhm, I have no idea." She admitted with a bit of a sweatdrop towards the moment, having no real clue where book stores could be found. Surely there was a bajillion in Fiore, but she only paid attention to places she actually cared for. A book store was not on that list, and would never be. "Ale's a nerd, she'll be there. I remember she has an addiction to books, a very bad addiction. The girl could use some therapy." Chloe gave her thoughts and agreed on where Alessandra could be found, her eyes always seemed to be glued on books, finding wayyy too much joy in such a bore. Though the two seemed to be falling short of failure, and running out of available options.
There was only one thing to do, and this was something that could lead them to these book stores, one by one! And hopefully be lead to Ale, or else just flat out wasting there precious time on getting no where. "Oh, idea!! We'll stop by my guild, those losers know Fiore well enough. They might be able to lend us a hand! Let's go lil sis!" Chloe grabbed her hand, thrusting her forward to follow as she walked faster down the road. While it may seem weird to Mizu to be called lil sis, she found her as family now and to her, Mizuki felt like she could be her little sis. Just one year younger, but way more knowledgeable than the Fiore princess herself. Onward, to the guild of Sabertooth they journeyed too. In a guild full of others who knew Fiore within the back of there hand, they were more than likely going to find the answers they seek. [Exit to Sabertooth]
xx╰[★]━O O C」 I'll wait for your post, and than move her there, or do you want Mizu to get there first? ~ : 3
“They are more or less the same,” Mizuki answered distractedly, pondering their options. “However, a library only allows an individual to borrow a book for a certain length of time. Once that time is up, the book has to be returned. Whereas a bookstore allows for the purchase of a book that requires no return date.” It was a small yet significant difference, but a difference nonetheless. Looking to Chloe, she scratched the side of her head in contemplation. Maybe we can ask someone else? Her thought barely had time to formulate properly before the Fiore princess seemed to draw a similar conclusion. Except, her conclusion involved traveling to Sabertooth in order to question her guildmates on the matter. Before she could utter a single word in repose, her new friend had taken hold of her hand and started off towards the more secluded guild. Mizuki became so fixated on the sudden movement that she almost failed to catch the nickname given to her. Little sis? It seemed she made a vast leap from new friend to adoptive sibling. An amused smile touched upon her lips and she shook her head. Life would certainly be interesting with Chloe around. Onward they marched to Sabertooth, older pulling along younger, as the continued their search for Alessandra. Unknowing of the danger into which they headed.
