"This guy you're talking about... Maybe he's not as frail as you think he is..." Was all he managed to mutter, trying to ignore the fact that Ptolemaeus was pretty much equating his feelings for Chara to that of his sibling. Back when they fought on Valentine's Day, the same sort of thing had been said. That there was love, but that of a sibling. It drove Chara mad, both because he knew damned well siblings didn't touch like they did, or kiss and cling to one another in the past as the two of them had done, but... Maybe it was true.
He didn't want to think about it. What he wanted to do was give up this charade and go back to being Chara. Atleast then he had an excuse to lash out with his words, as it just came naturally.
"I won't leave... So go ahead and rest." he whispered back, willingly letting his fingers intertwine with Ptolemaeus', closing his own eye and letting out a soft, sad sigh.
"There will be someone here when you wake. I promise."
