Sometimes adventures were a good thing, and this adventure he was sure was.
He was in a new place and it was a chance for him to start over. It would take some getting used to though. Since before everything seemed to just be there without him even having to ask. Now he wasn't quite sure what he was supposed to do. Should he plant a garden or try to work at a shelter. Was there anything that would feel like his old life, or would he become a new him.
Either way he refused to just sit around and do nothing. So he quickly got out of bed, cleaned up, and packed his messenger bag. With that he rushed out the door and headed towards the mall. Since there was one thing that always made him smile - Shopping.
As he arrived he pulled his hoodie over his head and headed into the nearest clothing store. Now one thing people didn't know about him was he didn't really have a style. He more so went for whatever caught his yes, and most of the time the items were brightly colored or black. Since black could go with everything. He smiled brightly as he got to the first clothing rack. Colors flowed through the first rack. He saw so many - blue, pink, yellow, green, and even a pure rainbow! He was in heaven he quickly picked up a few scarfs, shirts, pants hats, and gloves! Before he knew it his arms were a rainbow of colors, and completely over flowing in his hands. He quickly raced to the fitting room. Though once he was done trying them all on he somehow still had more clothes than he could possibly carry. "oh well," he said as he went up to the register. He gently set his items on the counter and slowly removed his hood. He smiled slightly at the cashier and reached for his wallet. whenever the cashier was done ringing it all up. He paid and took his bags of many colors.
The next part of the adventure was just about to begin. It was food time. He wasn't sure what he wanted. Korean - Mexican - American? Here he had all the choices in the world but he still wanted Korean. His heart knew where it stood and it hardly ever wavered at least yet in his life that is. That he knew of.
He searched around and around it took him what felt like hours before he found one. It had a strange name but he really didn't care. Food was his mission and he was going to complete it successful no matter what. At least he hoped he would and he had. He sat down and look at the menu it didn't take him long to decide and he ordered and just sat there. Today he had taken his mind off his thoughts but he knew that wouldn't last long. It was only a moment of time before they popped back up. He couldn't avoid it forever, but at least today he had...

The sky was blue and the birds could be heard humming their tune. It was a beautiful Friday morning. While it was his first time in town other than his shopping trip. Today he had a mission. His duffel bag was full of costumes and fans that he used for dancing. Not only that but there was even a few ribbon twirlers in there.
He knew it was supposed to be doing to something else like actually being safe with all the events going on. He couldn't just take time and not practice. Practicing was all he had known for so long. How could he just stop? It wasn't in his blood or mind to do so.
He could hear all the news as he walked down the sidewalk. People were frantic and fast paced walking as he walked slower than anyone else. He knew from all the newspapers there was a huge possibility of attack, but he still didn't want to believe it. He had been so sheltered from violence his whole life that he almost thought it didn't exist. He just couldn't wrap his head around hate and war. May a times he tried but still all he couldn't understand it. why hate? when there are so many wonderful things out there like music and flowers.
As the thoughts entered his head he finally entered a the door of a tiny studio. Not that he had told anyone but he would sometimes come to this tiny studio and pay the own to shut down for a day so he could practice. It was quiet and his own space. Plus he could hide away for a little bit and practice his dance without dictations.
As he turned around and locked the door and turned the lights on. He set down his bag and pulled out a old warrior like costume and quickly changed into it. Due to all the events he had an idea. How about a dance more like about the current state and how he himself as a citizen felt about it. Even if he didn't know much of war he had many emotions about it.
As he then reached and pulled out a ribbon stick and a fan. He began move left and right and back again with the fan and ribbon. Like they were attacking each other with each move. Neither advancing beyond their starting point, but each growing with intensity as they attempted to win against the other. Every attempt seeming futile. As they so wear down with each stroke. Each slowly from all their rage until both the ribbon, the dancer, and the fan lay spread on the ground.
Exhausted from the feelings that raced through them, until they both had nothing left to give. this was the feelings he felt of war and how he assumed in the end it all turned out. Since just like in an argument with a family member or friend you fight until there is nothing left to give. Both giving up something to become on good terms once again. As he dance finished he fell froze on the ground as the lights flicked around him. Ending his dance of war...(word count:534)

What were masks? And why did he need to use them?
It still made no sense to him. Since they seemed kinda weird. Then again it was on a rare occasion he was told to hide his face. He thought as he played with the mask their leader had given him on their day out.
It was such a small piece of material. Thin by touch and cute by look. How is it that it could hide someone whole identity? Was it really that powerful?
He sat there pondering it for a few moments before he grabbed it and his backpack bag. Quickly he headed towards the door with his mask in his left hand. he opened the door with his right hand and stepped on to the sidewalk outside. The second he heard the door shut behind him he placed his mask on under his black hoodie with colorful stars on it. He could feel as the mask with white whiskers became one with his face.
Now for the ultimate test. He headed towards the closest music store. He wanted to see if the mask could really hold up and power it had. Now looks of people might think this was silly but to him it was curious adventure. Who knew maybe he could come up with a new dance.
As he slowly walked towards the music store he noticed no one really paid him any mind. Not even a second glance. He walked into the store and to his surprise he saw some girls buying his bands cds and a t-shirt! Fans! he couldn't believe it and a group at that. It was at least five or six people. He wanted to say something but he just kept quiet and smiled a mass smile. Even his own fans didn't notice him with this mask on. It was crazy he hadn't changed anything about him but the mask at least that he knew of.
He listened to what they said as he walked in the aisle behind them. He just caught a glimpse but it sounded like they were all talking about when the bands next album would be. Not in a bad way though but in an excited way. One of anticipation! That was awesome he thought with a smile as he headed towards the door or the store. Not only did his mask pass the test but it gave him some motivation to work even harder.
As soon as he exited he began to run. Run to the studio since he had an idea for not only a dance but for a song. This was the first time he had felt like this in a long while. Maybe this was the motivation he needed and the one he was waiting for. This time he had the mask to thank. The mask his new gift. That might not be a secret to all, but to him it was his new secret weapon. He smiled as he ran faster and faster back to the studio, before his ideas ran threw his mind like a distant past.

The studio was the place that was like a safe haven and a heaven for him. It's a place where he could be heard and express himself. No one could stop him here, well but himself that was. Today though he refused to stop till he got these ideas out of his head.
The mask had given him the best idea ever and now it was his chance to let it free. He ran to his bag and picked out a rainbow colors spatter hoodie and some white jeans. (Outfit) The only new addition he had was a black zorro mask that he placed over his face. His inspiration. Once he placed it on he went over the keys and started his beat and turned on the recording equipment. His goal was to get this right the first time and if not he could review it off the tapes. Since he never wanted to show something that wasn't perfect to his band.
Boom ba Boom ba. Was all that played in his head. As he slunk and got down close to the ground to where his hood and shoes were all you could see at first. Then that strong beat began and he began to raise up to the beat.
Each leg raising and then his chest and the rest of his body followed to the beat. He waited ten seconds after he reached full height. And then the song began. "I'm right here. Can't you see me. I'm the one behind the mask." he started as he began to motion his heads towards his mask as he spun around the room on one leg. "I never moved, but still you can't see me. This mask it hides everything I am. I'm afraid that i'm drowning out." He sang as he allowed his movement to express his feelings. The feelings of hiding and the feeling you felt when you were invisible.
It all was pouring out as his steps just wider and more like he was claiming his place in the world. Almost like he was showing a story. One where the person had hid behind a creation of themselves the mask. And they had grown so used to it that it was really hard to break. But they were fighting to be released from its power. Or did they really want to. Since behind it they could be anything they wanted to be. Strong, brave, powerful. Though the second the person removed the mask towards the end they showed the fear they felt. Since without it they weren't sure who they were. Were they strong or really shy. Removing their protection, the mask, they had to relearn them and show the world who they really were. There was no where for them to hide anymore. It was just them and their soul shining in front of the world.
At the end he smiled brightly - mask thrown on the floor and no longer connected to his face. He had broken the spell and the smile that engulfed his face was real not a fake. The story he was telling ended with him pulling down his hood and rolling up his sleeves. walking off strong into the distance and whispering in song. "This is the real me. Accept it or don't..."
With that the song had come to the end and the story he wanted to tell was told. His inspiration was heard if only just by him. He shot and he scored! First time a success at least recording wise, but he still wasn't sure if it was worth enough for his band to see.
He held them in such high regard that he was always afraid to show them what he had come up with. No matter how good he thought it was. Would he be able to do it this time? Or would he hide it in his drawer with all his other creations. We wasn't sure. Though he thought maybe their next album could show who each of the members were. He meant really were not who the directors created. It would give their fans a chance to hear them and it would be a great return album! They could maybe even call it who are we.
He figured they could each write a song or two about them and who they were and who they are now. That way the fans could try and connect with them on a more personal level.
The songs would be hard to sing and the album even harder to create, but maybe in the end it would be worth it. Since it could be an amazing reappearance to the music world. They would be coming out with a bang. Plus it would allow them to get to know each other and their lives.
His story and who he was wasn't easy to tell about. Though maybe it would be easy if he was trying to share it with his band and then the world. Since no matter what his life was what it was. It made him who he was today. Colorful and shining. He'll admit it though dancing and music was all he knew most of his life. It brought him here. No matter how many times he was told he wasn't good enough. It just made his work and dance harder. Day - night - winter - summer. When others would be out having fun. He would practice. It was his life and his escape.
Though part of him figured maybe it was the same for all of them. Maybe just maybe this could be what they were waiting for and maybe it could bring them all together again. Just like the band they used to be when they started. Then again maybe he was just naive and hopeful. No matter what he wasn't going to let this go. Since as afraid as he was to share his idea. He was more afraid of losing the band and all he knew. He would have to conquer his fear so he could stay with his family. The band.

 생일 축하합니다 (saengil chukha hamnida)
It was the first birthday he remembered as a child. It was super colorful. then again his parents were super dramatic? if that's the right would for it. They always were. Never a dull moment in that home. It was always tons of people and he never had even met a single one. His father was someone important and that was really all he knew at the time. As for his mother well she had many admirers due to the moving pictures she was in. So he just went with the flow and did the walk around with smiles and waves. The people were really fascinating honestly. They wore the most beautifully elegant clothes and he felt like he lived in a palace. Even their gifts for him were like wrapped crazy beautiful and he had a table full. It looked like Christmas in May, but all for him. Well him and the kids he planned to donate all this other toys too and some of these. Since he knew he;d at least get a couple duplicates and while it was rude to give away gifts, was it rude to give them to those who had less? he didn't think so. After all what could be wrong about making another child smile. Nothing in his eyes and they were his gifts. So who cared, plus when he thought about it his room had way more toys then he needed anyways.
Aside from thinking of the smiling kids who would receive after it all ended. He knew had to get back to his party. He himself wore some bright blue and red clothes on his traditional clothes. With the crazy hat and all.
He smiled to each and every guests. He said hi to some people he had seen in the moving pictures next to his mother, and even to some relatives he only saw occasionally. At events like this was where you could see them all. Everyone you missed or wished you could meet. They were here - all for him. Which seemed a bit crazy still, but as long as everyone was having fun celebrating his birthday he was happy. He even sat down on their furniture and listened to his grandfather explain how everything was when he was younger. It was so different and harder. Which was probably true if he thought about it. Though his all time favorite story was the one he heard every year about his crazy uncle who was traveling the world meeting different business partners. He met the president once they said, and he was always getting into trouble. Was a flying caution sign his grandmother said, since he never seemed to do what he was told but people loved him and his craziness. He would always laugh since he sounded fun, but that uncle was always on a different continent so he never really had gotten a chance to meet him or so his father said. He figured it was because they didn't want a bad influence around their son. Who could blame them, he was what most called impressionable at his age and ready to try new things. Typical for his age though, not that he knew many people his age but he had read that somewhere.
As his grandparents finished their wonderful story's he smiled and hugged them before moving along to the next group. Though that was when he saw it. the thing that made this party remember-able was the dancers. They danced with the wind, and it felt as if they were almost magically. After all they were so beautiful and captivating. The outfits they wore reached the group and they never missed a step even in their flowing dresses. Patterned with flowers he watched as their outfits flowers danced in the wind. Then they showed their fans. Even their fans were fascinating as they followed their movements perfectly. He was in awe and so was everyone around them. They were smiling and in amazement themselves. that awe never left his head. No matter how many people or famous actors said hello. He only kept them in his mind, since it was as if his heart had found something that it wanted to do. It was on fire and it was a fire that would never leave. Plus he couldn't believe how much just the entertainment alone made people so happy.
Now he knew dancers at his age at a birthday party were extreme. Very extreme, but only the best for him he knew that;s how his parents saw it. Even if he really didn't care, but this was their way showing they did. They were always very busy but somehow always saw him. He knew he was lucky and loved and his parents were eccentric and a bit crazy. Though without that party and their extremes he never would have saw what he wanted.
Now that was never his parents plan of course, since they wanted him to be famous and rich doing what was expect and probably taking over the family empire. Though he knew that was never for him, after all he was wild at heart they need someone calm and well who had their feet on the ground. His were in the sky.
Now aside from the crazy party, dancers, and gifts. It was really quite wonderful. Especially the delicious food and they had tables of it. Stacked like a grand ball or something crazy. He took one of everything and more. He loved eating but he was on a strict diet except for tonight So he ate his hearts content out when no one was looking of course.
When they sat down for the main course. He listened to everyone and a select few sing happy birthday song. It was great he sat at the head of the table and smiled. It was the smile that never faded, at the end of the night he hugged both his parents and said thank you before heading to bed. Where he would dream of being like those dancers. Free like the wind and happy. Never letting his or others smiles fade but help them grow.
