Besides, he'd learned a lot of new things and gotten interesting insights into things he hadn't even considered until LJ had brought them up. Like that a voodoo doll could be used interrogate a queen, or that one way of dying could be more exciting than another. He beamed as she offered him a hand up and gratefully accepted, giggling at the absurdity of dying by choking on a cracker. "That's true. I think I get what you mean."
He smiled as she told him to keep the doll and nodded, holding it close. Effigy or not, regardless of how crudely-made it was, it was a gift and especially precious since he had so few things to call his own. "Thank you," he told her with a laugh. "She can keep me company since I'm all alone in here." That was one thing about living on the streets he didn't realize he would have missed. There were always people around...unlike this private room that he shared with no one.
The dramatic nod and twirl earned more laughter from the blonde and he followed her to the door. "Good luck, LJ!" Kissling called from his doorway, his smile radiant. "I look forward to it."
