Yokka found it odd to have so many people paying attention to her as she walked. ..Well, the attention was directed more-so at Talria, but she was waking alongside the girl. Her brow cocked as her companion spoke up again, and paused thoughtfully. "Why not go out and make your own name, then?" she asked. "That's what I'm gonna do! I'm going to build ships for the water, and set up all new ways to travel and explore the sea! No matter who my family is, it'll be my name people know~"

There was a soft giggle from Talria. "I plan on it....but I wanna make sure my Gramps can leave this world proud, ya know? I'm the only child right now in my family. I just don't wanna leave them with a bad taste in their craw." she shrugged before Pai called out to a vendor. One who had multiple Averi on their person. "Ah...that's the guy who bred Pai." she muttered.

Yokka cocked her head slightly. "Shouldn't he be more proud to see ya going for what you want? Or is he one of those old-fashion sort with the expectations and all?" Slowing down, she looked over curiously. "What is it you wanna do, anyway?" Turning her gaze to the breeder, she pursed her lips and looked back to Talria. "Don't like him much?"

Talria shrugged. "He has his moments that I see he's a good guy, then he hits on a girl and I wanna slug him." she intoned with a eye roll. "He has a partner and keeps hitting on anything with a pretty set of eyes." as they walked she kept her eyes on the other vendors. Looking for things that might catch her eye. "If you see anything you like, let me know. I can haggle with the vendors around here." she smirked with pride.

Nose wrinkling, Yokka made a mental note to give that vendor a bit of a wide berth in the future. Not that she ever had anything to do with animals, but still~ Noting the proud smile, Yokka cocked her head. "Haggle? ..Can't say I know how to do that."

Talria smiled wide. "Its easy! You just gotta know who's willing to lower their prices just a bit to suit your budget more and who's not...like there's a few around here that are struggling with their goods. I don't haggle because I'm aware of their situation. Then there are those who are more than well off and just wanna be stingy." she pointed to a routon lighting male. "Like him, well off but likes his food too much. He's hard to haggle with..."

Yokka tapped a finger to her chin lightly. If she could learning this haggling... it sure would come in handy later. "Can you show me?" she asked, looking around at the various stalls. She never really stopped to talk to the stall keepers, so she didn't know much about anyone..

She chuckles as she started to lead Yokka over to a cloth merchant. The male was a happy sort of fellow. She waited till it was their turn. Motioning for Yokka to look around. "Find something you like..."

Following to the cloth merchant, Yokka cocked a brow before sifting through the layers before her. Fine, delicate silks and rough wool and sturdy linens... Plucking up a linen, she inspected and pulled and poked it. This would work on a boat! Still being new to the business though... the length was just a little too high of cost. "If you can get the price down, I would like this," she said, holding up the bolt of plain beige cloth

Talria smirked as she nodded. "Just watch and learn." she muttered to the other female before throwing out her arms to the merchant when he turned to them. "Hey there!!! Long time no see!!!" she beamed as the male chuckled at her. It was a casual back and forth, Yokka would learn a few more things about the male. He was rather eager to exchange family stories, or more to the point stories about his kids. After a moment or two. She turned to Yokka. "My friend and I here were looking to this item..." The male smiled brightly. "Oh? So, I'm always curious about what people will use my cloths for...mind telling me what this will be for?"

Initially, Yokka squinted with doubt. The rather boisterous greeting seemed a bit much.. but if Talria knew the guy already, then perhaps it was fitting? The man received it well enough, so she listened closely. The chatter... was boring. Ah, then on the the business at hand! ..He wanted to know what it would be used for? ..Was this part of the haggling? What should she do?! "It's.. for a ship," she stated with the tiniest wariness. Would the truth reduce their luck? Make it better? "Not totally sure yet, but a small sail or a carrying satchel or a barrel liner or turn it into rope or-" she caught herself sharply, taking a bashful step back. "..Something for a ship." Talria was in charge here, after all!

Talria chuckled as the male glanced to her. He nodded then rattled off a price that was half of what it was. Talria looked to Yokka. "All you need is to be honest with the merchant, their far too used to lairs and cheats." The male nodded as he walked away to bundle the cloth for the girl.

Yokka blinked with surprise, eyes flitting between the worker and the listed prices. Eyes wide, she couldn't help gawking slightly at Talria before she caught herself and reigned in her shock. "I.. I will keep that in mind," she replied. Turning to the merchant as he packed the cloth, she gave him a half bow as she pulled out her coin purse. "Thank you very much."

Cornetified started another RP. We can call it here if we're able? Once the coin was accepted, Talria hummed as she led her new friend away from the stall. "Okay! So, you learned a little about merchants...what else can we do?" she looked around for things for them to do. Pai chirped from her shoulder and started to glide off pointing to the sun's position. Talria groaned. "Oh man...its getting close for me to go home."

Hugging the bundle to her chest, Yokka was still in awe of what had just happened. Looking up as Pai directed their attention to the sun, her brow knit slightly with a nod of agreement. "Me, too. Got a bit of a trip, so I should go find my sister." Giving Talria a grin, she held out her hand for a shake. "It was nice meeting you, Talria."
