Our school is new, so we have only been open for three years. Our first year, we got one ratings and sweepstakes trophies. Our 2nd year, our band got straight ones and sweepstakes. We placed third against highschools that have gone to compete in for state. Then this year, we recieved one divisions and got sweepstakes trophys/best in class/best woodwinds! We also placed in the finals for state and made it to 6th place to get into the state competition. AND, it's only our third year! Hehe biggrin

I'm part of the Marching Storm of Sam Houston (NOT FT SAM HOUSTON!) High School band in San Antonio, Texas. ^^
We're a 4A band and we are in region 20 I believe. I could be wrong, but oh well.
Just yesterday we won the President's Cup for the Battle of the Bands along with best Drum Major(ette). I'm fairly confident we got something today for the parade, and we have another one tomorrow! WITH GLOWSTICKS!!!
^_^
...I love band.

Out marching band is pretty small. Last year we had about 90 members at the beginning of the year, and that's all he could allow too. :/ But our marching band and Symphnic band is AMAZING! Doc (his name is Dr. WIlson but we all call him Doc) has told us that Symphonic band has been invited to countries all over the world, Australia, Germany, Japan. It's crazy. And in our band room, we have placards and trophies all over the place. It's insane. Our Director is so awesome. He even teaches us life lessons. Oh and our band is at McClintock High School in AZ. Oh yeah and next year we're playing Zorro and he said it's about a grade four or five. And last year's stuff was about a grade 2 or 3. So next year will be pretty crazy.

alright, ill brag...
my marching band is the Northrop High School Big Orange Pride Marching Band(yes orange). we have been Class A ISSMA(Indiana State School Music Association) State Finalists for 28 times. Class A State Champion 1983. we have performed in two Rose Bowl parades, the King Kamehameha Parade in Hawaii, Fort Wayne Three Rivers parade 30 times, performed in the Vatican for the late Pope John Paul II. as for our trophies, we had to throw some out because 1)we were running out of room and 2) they were broken and not all that big. the BD that was responsible for most of this stuff retired this year(ill miss you mr. ashton!) but our new director isnt bad.
well, thats most of it, i know there is more but i cant think of it.

I'm not going to brag about my marching band, because it isn't good at all. That's why I'm not really a band geek, I'm not very supportive of my school music program. And it's also why i'm in lots of private music groups. But anyway, none of the marching bands in maine are very large, I think the biggest is like 90 people. But some are REALLY REALLY good. Unfortunately, ours isn't. Competitions are fun though.

I shall tell you that the Reynoldsburg Raider Marching Pride has gotten 66 straight Ones at competitions(the highest you can get), and has gone to State for the past bizillion years, with 12 straight Ones there, I don't know anything about before the director we have now got here 13 years ago, so all those Ones are under his direction. We have trophies in top of the lockers going all across the band room at 5 trophies deep. And a wall full of plaques. And our band boosters just won the best boosters award from OMEA. Annnnd our director is the president of the Ohio Music Education Association. Annnnnnnnd we're going to London this year to march in the New Year's Day parade that they have every year. And it's on TV. Oh yeah, we've got the best record out of all the sports at our school.

kaemaut Hey, Kakashi, I know your band! You guys are really good! I'm not going to brag, though, because our marching band only has 40 winds and 70 total. crying We don't suck, for being relatively small, though. I remember Dobynns-Bennett from Tennessee was at one of our competitions. They had over 300 people and took up the entire field. Needless to say, that didn't make me feel any better. 70!!! Wow, I think we have like, 64...except all our seniors and dropouts...we need some serious recruiting if we don't want to drop below 60...ole vasche! We usually rock too, though... I despair over Evergreen, who comes to some of our competitions...they almost always win state and had 380 people last year... eek

Well, I have only been in my marching band for 3 years and it has a past history of being champions! My band has about 50 members.. in a good season. We played in Disney World in May last year. My first year of marching band we made it to the TOB championships.. and we beat out tons of bands... playing christmas music! My 3rd year we placed 4th in our divison in Cavalcade, and also got high percussion.

ok..i'm not sure exactly how big my band is...but we're in division 6.we win alot. two years ago we went to nationals in maryland, and we got 2nd by 1/10 of a point. and we win those category awards alot. and i just love our shows. and u can actually hear the woodwinds, and the brass isn't just playing fast highnotes all the time. i like the marching music better than concert music. it's way more emotional. Blackstone Millville Regional High School Chargers Marching Band! i heart our name

Our band's about the same as last year...size wise. Big 3A, small 4A. We have a little over 100 people. Which doesn't seem like a lot compared to some of you other bands. o_0
Last year we got 1st place colorguard, and 2nd place percussion. If only we had gotten 1st place percussion... That would have been PERFECT. D;
Ah, well, there's always this year. We're gonna suck but ya never know, we might get a lucky performance. XD

SnowPheonix I'm gonna brag...
We had (marching season is over) 292 members...5A. We've won for seven years in a row, so no one for the past few years has known what it's like to lose. Last year (I wasn't in high school yet, but oh well) we, or they, depending on how you see it, got a 98 point something as their final score...good, huh? Tis called James Logan High School Marching Band and Auxiliary. you also have about 100 more members than the biggest bands there
