Well our marching band is 125 members strong, the second largest 3A marching band in our area or region. The past two years we've made it to state for Texas 3A marching bands (Seventh first time, tenth just last year). For area and region we're the among the top three bands there (That includes us, Wills Point, and Canton). I love my marching band. xD

Well, the Rowlett Highschool Mighty Eagle Band is certainly something do be proud of. We're district 11 5A. In the entire GISD, we are the only band to EVER make it into state, and we've made it twice in a row! We might have not made it into the finals, but we at least made it there. Now what sucks for us though is we can only compete for state every other year, stupid UIL rules... but we will get the chance to compete again in the 06-07 school year. I know we'll make it and bring glory to that Alamo Dome once again. Go RHS Mighty Eagle Band!

Hey, Kakashi, I know your band! You guys are really good! I'm not going to brag, though, because our marching band only has 40 winds and 70 total. crying We don't suck, for being relatively small, though. I remember Dobynns-Bennett from Tennessee was at one of our competitions. They had over 300 people and took up the entire field. Needless to say, that didn't make me feel any better.

I'm gonna brag...
We had (marching season is over) 292 members...5A. We've won for seven years in a row, so no one for the past few years has known what it's like to lose. Last year (I wasn't in high school yet, but oh well) we, or they, depending on how you see it, got a 98 point something as their final score...good, huh? Tis called James Logan High School Marching Band and Auxiliary.

Where to start? Uh, the size of our marching band is 160. a lot of bands dont like us becuase we win and they think that we are stuck up, which we are not, we just act with class. We normally win all the competitions in our state (washington) or sometimes get second place. In my freshmen year (two years ago), we won sweepstakes three times out of five, second place at another, and then we went to Phoenix for regionals and got first in our division (we were in a smaller division becuase they didnt count freshmen becuase some high schools dont start high school until 10th grade) and 7th place in finals, which is really good for us becuase of the bands we went up against. the bands down in texas and california are really good. I guess they have longer band camps than we do, we cant start ours until two weeks before school starts (that goes for every marching band in the state of washington), it sucks. Our assistant band director (he does the drill and runs the practices) was part of the Blue Devils one year and was in another for another year. so he has taught us a lot of their stuff. we even have uniforms like theirs, except that ours are gold instead of silver (but i think they changed thier uniforms again). Several of our brass players are in Seattle Cascades. i have so much more to say, but it has nothing to do with marching, so i wont say it.

oh yeah, forgot to mention the trophies that we have. lets just say that we have more trophies/awards than at least half of all the sports at our school combined (we have several sports: football, basketball, softball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, track, cross country, wrestling, gymnastics, and a couple others that i cant think of). the only sports team that might have more than us would be our fabulous cross country team, one of the top in the NATION!!!!!

[****] -- Talk about class...*grumbles* When we win sweepstakes and first or whatever (which is everytime for the past seven years...) we aren't aloud to cheer, clap, anything. We stand there in whatever pose our section has and stare stoically out at the empty field while we try to bite our cheeks to keep from smiling... --

Im just proud of being a part of my band, the Hilo High School Viking Band. last I remember, we have 134 students and still growing. We have too much clarinets and not enough french horns, flutes, and trombones.

Let's see. For the 05 year our band boasted around 214 members. We won virtually every OMEA contest we went to for our division, and won the Massilon regional with all caption awards in both prelims and finals, won General Effect in prelims for the Pontiac Regional, and won all caption awards as well as first place for the finals, and placed tenth in the nation at Grand Nats.
Done bragging.

I'm a Glenvar Marching Highlander and this past year we won 3 our of four band of the days, never placed below 2nd in any thing except for guard once, and one first at least once in every category except gurd. those judges were nut jobs. we guard were the best but other got it cause they had rifle and sabre too. one said we had too many flag changes but i was like screw you. we were the best in our class and should've won.
