July 13th: 8 | 1 Prompt Response: Pushing on my partner I raced to the edge of the river. Hesitating for a moment, my partner not being gold around water, I urged them forward gently. Stone by stone they jumped carefully, more like a frog than something graceful. But in the end we made it across even if only barely.

July 13th: [18] | [3] Prompt Response: Rockruff and I were well-prepared for the race. As the whistle was blown, we took off down the path as quick as we could. In the distance we noticed our first obstacle, some slippery rocks. I couldn't let Rockruff get injured. Rather, I decided to pick up Rockruff and wade across the water. The water thankfully only reached my waist. Getting through the obstacle, we completed our task.

July 13th: [18] | [3] Prompt Response: The race had just begun and already we were facing a rather intimidating challenge. I knew my swimming abilities were more than top-notch, but the small Growlithe that was running along side me was a much bigger problem. He was newly hatched, not even battle-tested yet, and I didn't want his first obstacle to discourage him. A sharp whistle called Growlithe to me, and without breaking stride I scooped him up. He gave a delighted yip as we hopped from stone to stone, carefully but quickly making our way across. Once we reached the last stone I set Growlithe down to let him hop to shore, giving him that sense of at least completing the task a little bit. He seemed quite pleased with himself and off we went, eager and excited for the next challenge.

We were undaunted by the stepping stones across the river and leaped across them with ease. Glancing over my shoulder, I grin wildly as I see others struggling with the rocks. We got a good headway; I only hope we can keep it.

Amid the swell of pokemon and trainers sprinting carelessly towards the first obstacle of the race, Arcanine and his trainer were perilously trying to weave out the way of the stampede, finding themselves being thumped back in to the masses as the contestants approached a stretch of river bedecked with stones. Digging his paws in to the earth, the two of them came to an abrupt halt and for a moment they could breathe easy as they watched the many slip from the rocks. Unprepared for the collision, with a rapid blow to the rear, the pair careered in to the unforgiving current.

July 13th: [18] | [3] Prompt Response: Although water was not one of my Rapidash's favorite things to be around she gave a hard whiny, lowered her glorious head and ran like the wind. Her hooves made a steady beat against the rocks and she glided from rock to rock without missing a beat in her steps. The wind felt good against my face and I leaned down closer to her mane and closed my eyes for a moment to just feel the sensations and all of a sudden she stopped. I popped open my eyes to see that she had crossed all the rocks effortlessly and looked around to see that a few others unfortunately did not make it. Realizing I could not help I nudged her on to the next obstacle in this course.
