Physiology Glyffin are short, bipedal pokemon. Their bodies and heads are covered in light brown feathers, while their arms and legs appear to be covered in scales. These scales are thin rocks, layered tightly to protect its limbs. On their rounded heads Glyffin sport a large beak-like nose with a small mouth underneath. A small tuft of feathers colored dark-goldenrod fluff out backward from their foreheads. Female's eyes are a deep royal purple while male's are an indigo blue. Shiny versions have a silver/white base instead of gold/brown, and their eyes are a lively pink for females and red for males.
There are many small stones on a Glyffin's body that they are able to use their psychic powers to move to various effect. The most notable are the rocks that cover their three-taloned palms. There is one large central rock surrounded by many smaller ones packed together which can be depressed to create patterns (like this) or to feel and memorize a surface. Glyffin like to mash up berries to make "paint" that they smush onto their hands and then press into rocks and walls to make images and messages. They have an entire language made up of glyphs recreated by raising and lowering the rocks on their palm to form a pattern.
Glyffin's feet also have a collection of protruding stones that produce different sounds when struck against the ground. Glyffin can shift the rocks to change the sounds created. This species enjoys dancing, and when they do it is as much about the movement as the sound they create.
Though Glyffin can shift rocks near their ears to block out sounds while they are reading or trying to concentrate, they do so only when necessary; they love the feel of the vibrations that sound makes.
When they speak, it is a combination of whistling, chirping, and the sound of rocks clacking against each other. Many are very good whistlers, shifting rocks in their mouths around to change the pitch.
Habitat Glyffin live in arid and rocky locales, placing a high value on having many surfaces nearby on which to plant their glyphs and hardened ground upon which their feet will clack with a satisfying ring. They are often found on the edges of deserts.
Behavior Glyffin act largely like excitable and endlessly curious children. They seem to never tire of dancing, painting, and telling stories through whistled song. Glyffin also enjoy the company of humans, especially those that share their curiosity and interest in knowledge.
A strong desire to learn pushes many of them to seek out any knowledge they can find, and they are very intelligent and quick to learn. Those Glyffin that leave their homes find their ways to human libraries, devouring books with childlike wonder. They can read nearly any language; if it is their first time seeing it they may need time, hours or days, but it will learn. They find ancient history and ruins to be the most fascinating. It is important to note, however, that most Glyffin prefer to remain near their home where they will always have the others' company.
Glyffin love touching and feeling things with their hands, to experience and remember its form. They aim to place their hands on anything new they encounter, even people and pokemon.
Their feathers are sought after for use in quills. If a Glyffin likes someone, romantically or as a friend, they will pluck one of their own feathers for a gift, even though Glyffin themselves are not able to use quills or pens very well.
Breeding Glyffin do not mate to any set pattern, pairing off instead whenever the fancy strikes them. Perhaps they have been eyeing a particularly handsome bird for a while, or maybe they get caught up in a dance that ends in a cozy night together. Once two have paired off, they will spend the majority of their time together, creating dances, paintings, and stories just for the two of them. They find a hollow or cave to act as their den, covering the walls with glyphs of berry-juice and dancing constantly to make the ground hard and comfy for the newborns. Once the chicks are born, usually 1-3 at a time, the parents will teach them the dances and stories they created together. After this the chicks and parents melt back into the flock. Some Glyffin will join with the same mate again, others are happy to find new partners.
Diet Glyffin's primary diet consists of the small lizards and rodents that share their habitat. Generally, if they are able to find berries they save them for making colored pastes to make glyphs, but sometimes they will eat them instead.
They enjoy very bitter flavored human foods, like pure/dark chocolate and black coffee. In the wilds, this usually equates to oddities like chewing on the tough bark of trees found in their arid landscape. ____________________________________

Species Name: Hierune(High-rune) :: (Hieroglyhics: a pictographic script ;; Hierophant: an interpreter of ancient mysteries and esoteric principles ;; Rune : ancient script) Classification: The Scholarly Pokemon Type: Psychic / Rock
Pokedex Entry: - These birdlike pokemon record everything they see with their psychic powers in books of stone - Some believe that the rock books these pokemon carry hold the secrets of the universe inside.
Physiology Hierune are tall, humanoid pokemon supported by long legs that end in talons in a shape reminiscent of a heeled-shoe. Both their legs and arms are covered in the same smooth rocks as Glyffin, which look like scales. Their main body and head is covered in downy light brown feathers. From both sides of their head sprout long feathers of a soft royal purple color for females and indigo blue for males; these feathers are thick and soft, like fur. Shiny versions have a silver/white base instead of gold/brown, and their eyes and long head feathers are a lively pink for females and red for males.
From a point on Hierune's shoulders flow a long set of tawny wings that hang heavy at its sides. Hierune appreciates these wings for the warmth they provide and use them almost as a cloak, especially while sleeping. Though it is incapable of flight, Hierune can spread its wings to slow its descent or flap them once to jump a little higher than usual.
All Hierune carry a book with them. This "book" is carved rock which they can alter freely by raising rocks on its surface. Through this method they can recreate words, pictures, and anything in between. Usually a Hierune's book is 1-2" thick overall, consisting of 2-5 sheets of rock that are about 1/4" thick and a front and back cover of similar thickness. These books are infused with psychic power and cannot be broken easily: if broken it is incredibly traumatizing so Hierunes protect them well. Replacing a book requires finding a stone and meditating with it for a week. The writing Hierune primarily uses is an ancient pokemon language understood by many legendaries and some other pokemon.
Hierune have incredible memory, essentially edactic, but it is tied to use of their book. What they remember is how to call the information to the pages of the book. They can then read it to truly remember. These memory sequences are stored psychically and can be transferred to others via telepathy. Some people believe that Hierune's books hold the key to many secrets of the ancient world or even visions of the future that a Hierune itself could access if only they knew the right sequence.
Habitat Hierune are exceptionally rare in the wild due to the fact that a Glyffin must travel and study before it can evolve. Most Hierune therefore are either the traveling companions of humans or lone wanderers in search of interesting locales. Some may choose to take up residence at a specific set of ruins or even in a human city if there is a satisfying library or museum.
Behavior Hierune are just as curious as their pre-evoltuion, and can easily get caught up in something they find interesting like books or ruins. They constantly store knowledge in their book, writing out a page and memorizing the sequence before letting the rock fall back to a smooth surface.
Some are liberal with allowing others to see into their book while others are much more secretive and reluctant. Many will communicate freely using the front of the book like a tablet while showing the inside for more complex or personal thoughts. When they get excited, flustered, or distracted, their book may shift to say what they're thinking without them realizing.
A human can link to a book by touching it while the Hierune runs psychic energy through. After, the human will have a psychic link to the book, giving them an intuition to know when their Hierune wants to show them something. They also gain the ability to understand anything the hierune writes in their book.
Hierune (and to some extent their pre-evolution Glyffin) make good companions for archaeologists and adventurers. They can recall any hieroglyphics seen and show maps of explored areas using their book (which also makes the use of teleport for fast travel very convenient). They also often have an extensive knowledge of languages and can translate through their book for their trainer. Many Hierune prefer the company of adventurers who will allow them to see and record many things. It is common for young ones to travel and then settle down in a museum or library when they are older. They also make good companions to the blind and deaf, able to translate sign language into a written language or written words into braille.
Although they make for sound companions, trainers should be warned that Glyffin and Hierune have a different concept of time and are eager to touch artifacts and even break or split them open to learn all they can. They must be trained to understand the respect that artifacts and ancient locations require. Hierunes are much easier to train: explaining once is usually enough, whereas Glyffin are more trouble.
Hierune (and some Glyffin) tend to distrust fire types and be biased against them, believing they could easily ruin books and the knowledge within.
Breeding Because most Glyffin that have evolved into Hierune either belong to a trainer or live alone, very few ever mate with one of their own kind. Some grow restless, but many find that their studies or adventures satisfy them. They are, after all, a bit too tunnel-visioned sometimes and may even forget that that's an option! Some people wonder if their skulls might be thicker than their books. But not all Hierune are clueless, and they can develop strong crushes that result in hasty scribbling in their books of observations or...ahem....fantasies. Should they develop a relationship, it is meant to last. You know a Hierune is serious if it lets the other pokemon impress their own hand or foodprint into its book.
Diet Like Glyffin, Hierune enjoy very bitter flavored human foods, like pure/dark chocolate and black coffee. Their main sustenance consists of rodents, including the various mice pokemon found all over the world. ____________________________________

╔═════════════════════════╗ ║ • Biology: Scarave, unlike most Pokemon, is not a biological organism but rather an inanimate object. The "object" in question is made of around 12-15k golden plating encrusted with four gemstones; two rubies and two sapphires set an equal distance apart. These gemstones are set on the abdomen over the crest of the head. The eyes are made of small amber beads rolled over a single grain of sand to act as the pupil. The gold plating is broken into seven parts. Head, abdomen, thorax, and for legs that all wrap around a polished black marble body. These gold plates are held in place by carefully carving grooves that interlock and hold the parts together securely to the body. If the gold plating is removed, it reveals a small cavity inside the marble body. This cavity generally contains two feline incisors held together by a few strands of Pokemon fur.
The object, for its size, weighs significantly less than any recreations made of the same materials, which is marble, gold, and assorted gemstones. Additionally, the object and Pokemon aren't necessarily connected as we would imagine. The object appears to only serve as a "vessel" or "body" for the "Pokemon". While the "Pokemon" is bound to the artifact, it feels no pain if the object is taken apart or damaged. However, if the object suffers significant damage such as the marble shattering the "Pokemon" will go into an extended hibernation. During this time any damage to the object is repaired. However, if even one gem or piece of gold is missing the "Pokemon" will be unable to repair itself. Introducing a replica as a replacement can sometimes trigger the "Pokemon" to begin its self-repairs. ( if there is no replacement part, consider the Pokemon perma dead )
Additionally, if the feline incisors/hair is removed the object, it will begin to rapidly tarnish. It's thought that while the "Pokemon" possesses the object, it preserves the object by removing it from the ravages of time. This leads scientists to believe its self-repairing ability is not "healing" as most would imagine but a sort of time reversal on the object. In one famous experiment conducted by Org.42, the "vessel" was incinerated to ash. Once the feline incisors/hair were reintroduced the "Pokemon" attempted to reconstruct its "Vessel" and achieved modest results but the effort proved too much and the "Pokemon expired" by way of a gravitational anomaly that evaporated everything within a five-foot radius. ( Considering all speculation as fact )
║ • Behavior: Scarave tend to be shy, timid, and yet curious creatures that rely on avoiding conflict as their primary means of survival. While they can defend themselves when need be, this is only as a last resort. Conflict can cause damage to the "vessel" which takes time and energy to repair, which leaves the "Pokemon" unprotected for extended periods of time. Keeping the "vessel" in acceptable conditions tends to take precedence over pretty much anything else. A Scarave that has taken exceptional care of its "vessel" can be noted for having a glossary sheen, fewer fault lines in its marble body, and the gems on its back will reflect light better. These Scarave's tend to be much weaker however as they haven't been in many battles.
If scared, or forced to make a stand a Scarave will use sand as its primary attack. As they are slow Scarave favor tactics that negate a threat over neutralizing one. This means they compound moves with detrimental effects such as Sand Tomb and Curse while attempting to blind their foes with Sand-Attack. Some may even attempt to extend a conflict exhausting its foe with Bide and Protect. The difference in how one defends itself can indicate its experience in battles, with weaker Scarave opting to use Bide and Protect, and more experienced ones using Curse and Sand Tomb. Rarely though, some are seen exhibiting rare offensive abilities. These are always the veterans of battles and are prized by collectors, as they make for powerful Anhkat's upon Evolution.
Scarave, when introduced to humans or a new and unknown Pokemon for the first time, will almost always play "dead". Freezing in whatever position they were in at that moment in an attempt to make themselves appear inconspicuous. For most Pokemon, this normally works. However, humans, Murkrow, and Meowth see this shiny bobble and, more often than, not pocket it. This is how dozens of Scarave have ended up in museums around the world. A Scarave can, in theory, remain frozen like this indefinitely. Additionally, This "freezing" is also another known ability relating to the manipulation of time. Scarave have been observed "rewinding" when they believe they may have been spotted attempting to flee after having been seen "Frozen" in a select position previously. This "rewinding" appears as a flicker in which the Pokemon seemingly teleport's back to where it was, in the exact position it was in when last observed. People who directly observe the effect, when questioned do not recall the event having taken place even when shown video of the event.
║ • Breeding & Families: Scarave are loners and will not willingly interact with another of their kind unless doing so as an act of self-defense. Scarave, thus are almost never seen in pairs. This leads scientists to believe they are highly territorial and avoid coming into direct contact with one another as a way to prolong the longevity of their "vessel". Due to this avoidance of one another, scientists concluded the species can not, or will not, procreate, unlike its evolution Ankhat. This lack of species preservation tells us that all the Scarave known to exist came from ancient times and thus are finite in number. This is further validated by the fact Anhkat can procreate but can only produce Ankhat offspring. ( Considering any speculation as fact )
║ • Habitat: Scarave are only naturally found in the ruins of ancient cities and human settlements such as within the the Johto region's Ruins of Alph, the Sinnoh region's Solaceon Ruins, and the Unova region's Relic Castle. Many Scarave have been discovered, whisked away either by private collectors, museums, grave robbers, or passing travelers, but finding an undiscovered Scarave still in the wild is difficult. Though rare, it's not unheard of for another specimen to be discovered. Scarave in the wild prefer the stone ruins of ancient human settlements where they dig nests into walls and ceilings, out of reach from most other Pokemon. Here they can remain undisturbed for an extended period of time. Sometimes for hundreds of years. While nesting they can be overlooked as little more than an out of place decoration carved into the structure. Dust and debris often times obscure their appearance, helping to further camouflage them.
║ • Diet: Scarave does not eat or drink. When offered food, it will refuse or ignore the offering outright. No further data has been collected on the subject and thus it is unclear how it sustains itself. Unlike other Ghost types such as Ghastly who do still require nourishment, it would appear Scarave requires no such outside source of energy to maintain its longevity. The only theory yet to be disproved is that Scarave, being the supernatural manifestation of a Pokemon rather than a biological, or biological-sub-animated creature, such as Onix or Geodude, does not interact with the physical world in the same manner as other Ghost-type Pokemon. ( Considering any speculation as fact )
║ • Communication : Scarave are not capable of any form of known communication. They make no sounds and have no alert calls.
║ • General Bio: Scarave are both the physical and spiritual remains of various feline Pokemon worshiped as guardian protectors in ancient times. In life, these Pokemon were adorned with the finery of gems, gold, and silk by the humans who cared for and worshiped them. In death, however, it became a tradition to convert the feline Pokemon's favored earthly possession into the urn that would come to hold their remains in death. The scarab, or beetle, become the traditional motif for the urn as it represented the chief divinity of the people of the time. However, early on in the tradition, the Pokemon's remains were entered in urns with a more feline appearance. Though, such urns are much rarer to find now as they lacked the durability of the Scarab's marble body and thus shattered before the spirit could bond to its potential vessel. ( The "spirit" of the Pokemon that possesses the urn is that of a Meowth )

╔═════════════════════════╗ ║ • Biology: Ankhat is a mammalian quadruped feline pokemon, slightly larger than a common house Meowth (1.04 ft) with short, coal-colored fur. Its body is adorned in 17-21k gold plating with the appearance of jewelry that is infused into the Pokemon's skeleton at select locations such as the crest of the head, neck, nape of the tail and forelimbs. This gold plating functioning like an exoskeleton providing additional protection from injury at these locations and has been proven to have the same chemical signature as the gold plating seen on Scarave but with a slightly higher purity rating. Additionally, the gold plating can be inscribed with stylized art patterns reminiscent of the ancient peoples in the region it was found in. Such examples are Nordic and germanic styles for Kalos and Japanese for Johto with Mayan or Aztec for Hoenn and Sinnoh. The patterns vary wildly and no concrete confirmation has been made that the art is directly connected to its home region as some will naturally differ.
Like most feline Pokemon, Ankhat has all the telltale features of a feline Pokemon. Padded paws, acute night vision, and hearing, a sleek slender frame. They also purr and generally act as any feline would. Curiously, however, they also exhibit some odd features such as not having whiskers or retractable claws, and they can't turn in mid air to the land of their feet as a Meowth or Purrloin would. Additionally, and most notably, they are locked between a physical and intangible existence. While they need to eat, drink, and sleep to function at the peak of their abilities, not doing so, even for an extended period of time, has no detrimental side effects such as death. The only real side effect is the gradual decline in strength and the ability to use its moves.
Ankat does make up for some of its minor inability's, however. For instance, much like Scarave's ability to "flicker" and return to a previous position when spotted, Ankhat does something very similar in nature when falling or thrown. It can't be called "teleporting", though, to rule out some alteration of spatial reality would also be incorrect. The true depths of what this ability is can't be explained scientifically as of yet but the closest to an explanation researchers have is a wormhole in relation to time itself. If thrown, Ankhat will "teleport" to a safe location away from danger, however, damage suffered in the act of being thrown or the landing will still occur. If the act would render the Pokemon unconscious or injured, the Ankhat will reappear unconscious or with such injuries to reflect the action. This indicates the Pokemon is somehow speeding up time in relation to itself until a point of safety as been reached and just like Scarave such actions can't be recalled by direct observation.
When in danger some Ankhats have also been seen turning fully intangible if for only an instance. This physical intangibility may be an "involuntary" reaction to danger but more often than not it is "voluntary" put to a more practical use. Phasing through solid objects is the most common application as well as escaping any Humans they want to avoid.
║ • Behavior: Ankhat, like any Pokemon, have varying personality types, but for the most part, the terms temperamental, affectionate, curious, hyper, and fickle are most often used to describe the commonly observed behavioral patterns. Females tend to be a little more relaxed and laid back while males are far more active and alert. Male and female Ankhat don't actively seek each others company unless doing so is productive, such as for procreation. Female Ankhats will often times band together with two or more Ankhats (called a Horde) for survival, while males, for the most part, live a solitary life. Female Ankhat doesn't mind the company of their males counterparts so long as due respect is given. Males, however, can be quite picky with whom they tolerate, male or female, Ankhat or otherwise.
The reason males are so abrasive is that each one views itself as "perfection" and any failure generally as the result of an outside force rather than its own fault, lack of skill, ability, etc. This goes against the females mentality which is to acknowledge and improve on failures. This naturally comes into conflict with the male's sense of perfection with them viewing females as actively trying to undermine them. This conflict of thought results in male and female Ankhat living separate lifestyles in order to avoid conflict. Overall most are rather mild in nature and even prolonged interactions rarely result in anything worse than some hurt feelings. While male and Female Ankhat might have their difference in opinion they can agree that humans are beneath or should be subservient to them.
Unlike most felines, Ankhat, are diurnal, meaning they are most active during the day rather than at night like most other felines. This makes them perfect for keeping an eye on a select location or a person because they can sense when "danger" is approaching and will hiss in its direction as a warning to its human caretakers to prepare for trouble. It is this unique ability to foretell of danger which probably lead many people in ancient time to deify them as divine protectors. Ankhat isn't being totally selfless though, and generally only gives warnings to further protect themselves. Humans are bigger, tougher, and smarter than most Pokemon making them perfectly suited to ward off threats to an Ankhat's own safety. In addition, humans feed and care for them, so in return, Ankhat seeks to ensure "their" human's safety to further their own. Stray Ankhat's might even go out of their way to help a human in order to be taken in and given a safe place to live. This (somewhat one-sided) symbiotic relationship is actually beneficial to both parties involved. In addition, Ankhat, unlike Scarave, are telepathic but are very selective with whom they interact with telepathically. Very few communicate with more than one human in their lifetime.
Ankhat have a few quirky habits as well. One such habit is to intentionally knock things off from a high shelf, table, etc, and watch it fall and break only to "flicker" it back to where it originally was so they can repeat the action. Another is their inability to understand mirrors, at all. Mirrors, no matter how in-depth and continually explained to them, defy Ankhat's understanding in all ways. While this isn't a habit in of itself, how they interact with mirrors is. Seeing its own reflection in a mirror invokes either a violent or confused reaction, but if they see their reflection on normal surfaces such as a window or on polished metal, they react normally. Some might even attempt to converse with it, but this usually only happens when Ankhat has Herb based Held items, as they have a euphoric effect, much like the effect smoking weed, has on humans.
║ • Breeding & Families: Ankhat have a rather complicated social structure because males are almost never a permanent fixture in a Horde. Hordes are matriarchal, and it is the smartest female, not the strongest or oldest, who leads. Females host a debate of thought in order to choose their leader rather than resorting to violence because they want to test wit and intellect. This is another reason males seclude themselves from the females until breeding season. Females, while weaker physically, are almost always smarter, and they'll let their male counterparts know it. In fact, some mature male Ankhat's actively avoid the act of breeding because females boast of their intellect so frequently that it simply becomes too much. This isn't quite the same for younger males who look up to their female counterparts for guidance until they reach sexual maturity and become self-dependent. It's around this time they begin to test their abilities and will continue to do so until they leave the Horde, which is usually because the females actively push them away.
Come early spring and mid-summer, female Ankahts begin to search for a breeding male. Hordes stick together so if a male Ankhat wins over the leader, he might very well breed with every eligible female of the Horde. This helps keeps the population up because in truth very few mature males will breed in a year even though they are able. Unlike every other known species, Ankhat and its evolved form, Andro/Gynos-Sphiraoh have no desire to breed in order to maintain the species. The act of breeding to them is a complication, though this opinion is more the males than females.
When a breeding male is found, he must prove his worth by making an adequate display of his intellect in the same way a female would become the leader of the Horde, via debate. Only 1 in around 20 breeding males will pass his genes on to the next generation each year. It's good then that Ankhat has no known upper life span and can, in theory, live forever. However, diseases and predation tend to keep most from reaching beyond their forties, those in prime conditions can live much much longer, and those in captivity usually live indefinitely.
║ • Habitat: Ankhat, like Scarave, prefer ancient human settlements and abandoned buildings. They can also be found in or around museums and libraries. Oddly enough, some are also found in large cave systems. In all cases, they make their dens in a confined space where predators aren't able to reach or see if they are simply passing by. A den will have some sort of bedding such as grass, leaves, or cotton if Ankhat can pilfer it from something man made. In captivity, however, they will take to living as any Meowth or Skitty would.
║ • Diet: Ankhat are field predators, meaning they hunt small game like Pidgey, Rattata, and Wooper. They're also an ambush predator that uses the manipulation of time and space in order to catch their prey. In much the same way as how they land when thrown and "flicker" objects they knock over, they are able to "speed" up time relative to themselves in order to catch pray off guard. The moves Quick Attack, Fake Out, and Extreme Speed exemplify this ability as when used Ankhat will appear as if on fast forward.
║ • Communication : Ankhat, like most Ghost-type Pokemon, is capable of telepathic communication, however, due to the nature of the Pokemon's origins, those that evolved from a Scarave can only speak in ancient Poke'o-neis. ( That's a legit thing from the original TV show. ) There is no translation for the verbal equivalent of this dead language and there are very few scripts to translate written text from. Just a few of the recorded words which make up Poke'o-neis are Nu, Tra, Jha, Zul, Opul, Sil, and Gri, making scientists think the language is made up two to four letter words that we might mistake for the basic structure of our own language.
Ankhat that evolved from Scarave rather than one that was naturally born can learn "Basic" but it takes time and patience on the part of the trainer. Those born are reversed in this regard and would need another Ankhat that evolved from a Scarave in order to learn Poke'o-neis. On either end of the spectrum, the Pokemon tends to get confused with associating object, places, and names. Due to this communication issue Ankhat often time will flat out ignore the speaker acting as if they cant hear them even when eye contact is established.
║ • General Bio: Ankhat is the reincarnation of various ancient feline Pokemon. By using the urn their remains were buried in as the raw material needed for evolution, they've regained a symbolim of their former selves and In doing so they've also recovered a small fragment of their mortality but also sparked the emergence of a new species within the Pokemon world. They are in the infantile stages of "rebirth" and "natural evolution by selection". This has given a rare glimpse into the possible history of other ghost type Pokemon who may have at one time undergone a similar transition from purely corporeal beings into physical ones.
Ankhat brings up many unanswered questions such as Scarave's inability to procreate, something Ankhat are in the evolutionary processes of correcting by evolving the ability to procreate. Is Scarave a byproduct of how a ghost type evolves? A staging ground for the species to emerge from, and something that in time, is weeded out of existence due to lack of requirement towards the species? If so, are other ghost types such as Yanmask in a later stage of this type natural evolution but ultimately, HOW do ghost type Pokemon truly come into existence?

Orginization 42's leader is rumored to possess one. ║ Poke'dex entry #2: Once thought to be a mythical Pokemon, Sphiraoh is beleived to be able to warp time, distort reality and shift between dimensions freely. ╚═════════════╝
╔═════════════════════════╗ ║ • Biology: Sphiraoh is the second largest known Pokemon classified as feline in build with the mythological Pokemon, Solgaleo, being the first. While feline in build the species bolsters some key features that are very much not feline in nature such as wings, head crest, and four "silk" arms. Sphiraoh, both male and female have a tussle of brown fur on the underside of the neck stretching down to around the second joint of the forelegs and another on the tip of the tail. The forelegs are wrapped in aged bandages that are very resilient to any conceivable form of damage and cut off just above the first joint and the paw by gold rings forming a sort of protective boot. The hind legs lack the protective boot but do have a single ring just above the ankle. ( The wrapping is damage resistant due to being partly made of a gold alloy which can have a very high tensile strength )
At about the same area as where the neck would become the spine, is a protruding set of wings. The wing span of one is seven feet seven inches. While impressive they aren't large or strong enough to support extended flight in relations to the Pokemon's body weight. To achieve true flight Sphiraoh uses its psychic powers to help control the flow of air around its wings. By making the air denser each wing beat provides the lift of two or three wing beats in an ordinary bird Pokemon such as a Pidgey. This gives a Sphiraoh in flight a rather majestic appearance.
The crest and face plate, which differs between male and female, with the male having a much larger shield then the female with only a crescent crown, which is connected to the neck, in the same way, Ankhat's jewelry is to its skeleton. This face plate has very few moving parts. The eyelids, lips, eye brows, and noes, all of which move like the parts of a marionette's face with stuff, rigged and jarring actions. The eyes themselves are the only fluid moving part. ( Just imagine a puppet. ) The head shield is made of a Gold Iron Alloy and thus is very resilient and is often times used to guard to body from attack.
From four fist-sized ports at about jaw and ear level can extend out four "silk arms". These arms, which are normally housed within the mask, are made of the same material as the boot that covers the forelegs but lacks the aged appearance. Each arm has 3 stubby fingers and while fabric thin, can carry roughly 37.4Lbs each and can extend up to eight feet. This is used mostly to prune its weathers and help keep itself clean over all. Sphiraoh has no feeling in these extensions and if damaged can reverse time relative to them in order to repair any damage inflicted. It's worth noting, not all Sphiraoh will use these arms as many simply have no need or desire for them in addition females are more prone to using them over males.
║ • Behavior: Sphiraoh are regal creations that above all else demand respect, and mercy be upon those who refuse! Sphiraoh isn't known for being very "forgiving", or merciful, so fair warning to anyone who ventures upon their bad side. The good things is that very few turn "violent" towards humans. Even those they absolutely despise. They would much rather deal with humans in "other ways" when ever applicable, mostly through tricks and deception. They are known for making sport of prolonging a person's mental suffering via carefully fabricated plots and deceptions. This isn't to say they won't turn physical if the need arises.
Sphiraoh, are very creative and intelligent creatures that can imagine more ways to deal with an issue then they can implement in all practicality. Needless to say, they tend to be "tricksters" in their own regard. While pranks are generally beneath them they won't let pass the chance to make you look a fool or trick you into making mistakes so they can scold you about it later, or mock you, depending on the Sphiraoh itself.
Upon encountering a Sphiraoh, wild or domesticated, they will always pose a riddle to be solved to new people and will refuse communication with anyone who can't solve the riddle given. Worse still, some are prone to teleporting humans away who refuse or fail to solve the riddle correctly. This is because they prize wit, cunning, intellect, wisdom, philosophy and a desire to learn, above all other traits, and any humans who lack these traits Sphiraoh see as beneath them and unworthy of their grace. This is a Pokemon that only truly respects intellect and those who possess it. They also look down on Humans or Pokemon who rely on brute strength as a means of self-defense so generally, they don't get along with Fighting, Rock, Ground or Steel type Pokemon.
Sphiraoh on the personality spectrum can be rather imposing and demanding. They rarely just ask for anything, rather they demand it, but at the same time they are inquisitive creatures. They love to discover new truths about the world around them and even something as mundane as how temperature affects water can be highly intriguing to one that previously didn't know this information. Unlike most creatures they want their perspective of the world challenged.
Male and female Sphiraoh are vastly different with how they might interact with a human as well. Females are a little more patient and calculating than their male counterparts who generally seek immediate and significant results. While they tend to seek a willing "gift" of information if provoked or angered they can and will use their psychic powers for force information from a victim. Generally, without the use of physical harm do to do.
In regards to the terminology of Sphiraoh, the species name doesn't correctly indicate the Pokemon by gender. This is very important as a male and female Sphiraoh will take great disrespect from being called by the incorrect gender terminology or simply by as a "Sphiraoh". The correct terminology is Andro-Sphiraoh for the males and Gynos-Sphiraoh for the females. This addition to the name by gender can carry over into nicknames so fair warning to trainers! Very few will allow themselves to be nicknamed without to the correct gender terminology also being present when referring to them.
While there are no genetic differences between Andro-Sphiraoh and Gynos Sphiraoh, as we see in Nidoking and Nidoqueen, and they are biologically the same species with no physical adaptation indicating genders, such as with Volbeat and Illumise, the correct gender terminology is vital if you don't wish to offend them, and trust us, you do not want to offend them!
Sphiraoh can cause a great deal of suffering to someone who's disrespected them. They are perfectly suited to playing the long game when it comes to enacting revenge or setting plots in motion. They take great pride in getting the best bang for their buck so to speak. It's a good idea to steer clear of anything that might bring into question a Sphiraoh's superiority or mistakes. They possess all the same abilities of time and space control as their pre-evolution Ankhat but on a much stronger scale. Moreover, they can use these powers on others to a limited degree. They can regress or accelerate a person's age or even prevent time from affecting them for up to ten years and can see short distances into the possible future to make educated assumptions about events to come. ( They can only see a week into the future at best and can only alter a person's age, they can't time travel AT ALL! Their time powers are only "time relative to X" effects. )
║ • Habitat: Sphiraoh in the wild are so rare as to be thought near none existent in most regions. Only the Hoenn and Kalos regions have had a confirmed sighting of this elusive creature. Unconfirmed sightings have been made in the Johto and Alola regions. Their natural habitat is still unconfirmed but is thought to be lush jungles and or far removed ancient ruins. ( They only live in ancient humans ruins or caves ) Additionally, the two confirmed sightings indicated a shifting of the perspective of the world around a Sphiraoh's nest. In captivity, this has been confirmed. This "shifting in perspective" is actually a warping in the fabric of reality induced by the Sphiraoh itself. The Sphiraoh is actually creating a sort of pocket dimension in which it makes its nest.
The requirements to create a pocket space is at least four partial walls, a ceiling, and a closed frame doorway. This pocket space can only be reached by crossing the threshold into the confined space. The threshold can be locked off disallowing anything the Sphiraoh doesn't approve of from entering it. Stepping through the threshold, in this case, results in a normal action. That is to say, the "doorway" isn't a "visible thing" and thus you won't know you've stepped through it until you come out the other side otherwise you'll pass through it and into the normal area that pocket space would have otherwise taken up. The pocket space can not be created around the Sphiraoh but must rather be made by focusing on a threshold.
There is no physical location on this plane of existence where the pocket space occupies. The pocket space, is by its very definition, an alternate dimension with the same laws of physics that govern our plane of existence. Thus the entrance can be changed at will but not the exit. If you enter from a door in Goldenrod city, you must also leave the pocket space from that same door. HOWEVER, two persons can enter into the Pocket space from two different locations but upon exiting will arrive from the same door they entered from. ( IE if subject A entered from Goldenrod city and Subject B entered from Pallet town, Subject B when exiting will always arrive back at Pallet town and subject A will arrive in Goldenrod. Fly and other travel abilities CANNOT change this! )
The pocket space itself can be quite large, upwards of 100,Lx100,Wx100,H and is almost always recreations of temple rooms or something of great spiritual importance to ancient people. The favored decor is marble, polished granite and or stained hardwoods with gold and silver. The bed of the Sphiraoh differs between individuals from a hay pile to a cushioned mattress. Sphiraoh tends to make their space as lavish and imposing as possible. They seek to give anything that enters an impression of near god-like power and authority and within this space, they rule supreme. The last unconfirmed note is that time doesn't seem to have any effect within the pocket space. Time outside the space will pass normally, the day will turn to night but within the space, time seems to stand still. ( The rooms are in fact real world locations. Think of the rooms as a single moment in time for that location that's been "removed" from the normal time line and set on an endless loop. IE within the room you're reliving the save micro fraction of time from the past over and over again. )
║ • Breeding & Families: Male Sphiraoh avoid females entirely thus no breeding behaviors have been observed between the male and females of the species. This oddity leads scientists to believe the species either relies on Ankhats for population management or they breed with other Pokemon outside of their species, if at all. Only one unconfirmed sighting gives us any insight into the family structure of the species. An observation of a Gynos-Sphiraoh tending to a litter of infant Ankhat's. While we can speculate that Gynos-Sphiraoh does, in fact, seek an active breeding partner we can say with certainty that no recorded data suggests that Andro-Sphiraoh and Gynos-Sphiraoh breed together. ( The above is all fact but it's just not been "proven" yet. )
It is common knowledge if two Pokemon copulate and both know the same move, they will pass the move to their direct offspring, but in this case, no data indicates an Ankhat ever knowing any of the moves learned exclusively by its evolution. Such observations are backed by genetic markers that suggest some Ankhat's do have a third party DNA indicator not related to the species itself. To this end, its thought that Gynos-Sphiraoh follows whatever mating rituals it's male counterpart may impose upon her while the male does not breed at all. We've unfortunately no further data on the subject ( Fact: Andro and Gynos do not breed together )
║ • Diet: Sphiraoh are carnivores and follow the same hunting tactic's as its pre-evolution Ankhat. The only real difference is that Sphiraoh hunts larger game such as Tauros, Stantler, and Sawsbuck and does so much more infrequently. They can go months on just one meal. This is because, time relative to themselves in slower and thus they can maximize a single meals value. It also helps they aren't over active Pokemon and thus doesn't require the massive calorie count other predators their size would to survive. They also favor disorienting they prey with moves like Confuse Ray over stealthy ambushes via fake out whenever possible. This is because they lack the powerful jaws needed to hold prey down.
║ • Communication: Sphiraoh, like many ghost and or Psychic-type Pokemon, are telepathic.
║ • General Bio: Study of the Sphiraoh species has been difficult at best. Sphiraoh is so extremely rare to that point no wild occurrence of this species has been recorded in the past five years. In fact, only a hand full of specimens are even known to exist in captivity. Ankhat must be under near perfect circumstances to evolve and such requirements in the wild simply don't occur naturally to our collective knowledge.

Selarkea
Species Name : Selarkea | Seal - Shark - Sea | Sell-arc-ee Category : The Sea child Pokemon Type : Water
Pokedex Entry :: Short - These baby Pokemon are wrapped in a thick tuft of fur that will later determine what they will evolve into. Long - Once they grow old enough, Selarkea will either discard their fur coat and head to the ocean, or stay with their mothers. This is but one way to determine what they will evolve into.
Description :: Selarkea are small oddly shaped Pokemon. They have features of both a shark and a seal, while also being wrapped in a thick fur that seems to stay fluffy even when wet. They have a dark navy blue body with a light cream coloured belly. Their fur is pure white more than often. With large black eyes, they have yellow features lining their lips as well as small speckles of yellow around their eyes. Their fins are pointed like a sharks, but bend like a seals allowing them to move clumsily on dry land. Their tails are seal-like, but they have a small underdeveloped tail fin, that doesn't seem to aid or hinder them in the water.
Shiny :: Shiny Selarkea have white bodies, while the fur has taken to a black colour. Their underbellies are gray, and the accents on their face are red. Their eyes however remain the same between both colour variants.
__________________________________ Habitat :: Selarkea grow up with their mothers in the inner fresh water rivers of various regions, until their old enough to venture through the river to the ocean or sea where their father's live. They like to bundle with other Selarkea, but will often follow their mother's around to learn what it takes to survive. They prefer warmer climates, but can thrive in cold waters as well.
Eating habits :: Selarkea feed on smaller fish Pokemon, such as Luvdisc or Remoraid. however, they do also like to eat ocean/sea vegetation like kelp and grass. They do like berries and some fruit that grow over the water and fall in.
Behavior :: Extremely social and curious creatures, Selarkea will approach swimmers in the water, and swim along side them. They like to sing when happy, and at times sailors or swimmers believe they sound almost like a young maiden singing. They have several predators, so to keep safe Selarkea like to gather on high rocks, they get to these rocks by jumping from the water, but if rocks get to crowded in-flghting might start, though often times if the rocks get to crowded a small herd will just move to another part of the shore. If they encounter a predator within the water, their tiny bodies allow them to move fast through the water, and they can jump fairly high out of the water. Directing themselves near a shore or rock. They will run away before trying to fight.

Selphkie
Species Name :: Selphkie | Sea - Silph - Selkie | Sell-ff-key Category :: The Young Lady Pokemon Type :: Water/Fairy
Humanoid - Height : 5'o4'' | Weight : 98lbs Seal Form - Height : 3'o5'' | Length : 6'9'' | Weight : 145lbs Gender Ratio : 1oo% Female
Pokedex Entry :: Short - Upon evolving they wear their Selkie Fur for the rest of their lives. Long - If their fur is ruined or stolen, Selphkie will grow very depressed. They wear this fur for their entire lives.
Description :: Selphkie have a somewhat human-like appearance, and long ago these Pokemon were often mistaken for women when they sat upon high rocks singing and combing their string-like hair. They are covered in thick lightblue leathery skin, with white underbellies. Upon closer inspection they don't look human at all. Upon their head they have a crest of various shades of blue. The crest will begin to form into hair-like strands which they like to comb to mimic human females. Around their hip section is a large semi-see through fin which has three large round blotches at either corner. This fin doesn't really aid them while they swim, however. The gem on their head is often a bright red. Their eyes are completely black, but they are quite sparkly. On their face they have similar yellow markings like Selarkea do. Finally, wrapped around their upper torso is a fur they wore as Selarkea, this fur can now come off, but they grow depressed if it's removed or ruined.
When a certain Water-type move is used*, Selphkie will change forms into a Seal-like form. The sea-like form appears much like it's humanoid form. Long and slender, it is covered in light blue fur with a similar crest on it's head. Their tails have several large blue dots on it, and their backs are alined with large blue dots as well.
Shiny :: Shiny Selphkie have a dark red fur with a beige underbelly. Their crests have adopted a purple colour. Their gems are white and the markings on their face have turned silver. Their hip 'fin' remains semi-see through, but the dots have become a purple like their crests. The seel-form mimics these changes.
_________________________ Habitat: Selphkie, in the wild are often found more inland near waterfalls and springs. They can travel on land, allowing them to move to such places, but when outside the water or if their fur is dry for to long, they will grow sick. Selphkie cannot survive in extreme heat without water. They also do not favor well in extreme cold climates, such as places covered year-round in snow.
Eating habits : Selphkie favor fruits and berries over meat. Their teeth are not entirely designed for meat or hard foods. They can also be seen eating vegetation like leaves or grass. They do like to eat seaweed as well.
Behavior : Unlike their curious pre-evolutions, Selphkie are more inclined to shy away from humans. They fear their furs being stolen from humans, and due to their past experience with humans, it is reasonable that Selphkie would rather run away from humans then encounter them. When left alone, Selphkie like to sing. They socialize with other Pokemon and Selphkie very well.
Breeding Information :: Egg group - Water2 / Fairy
Evolution Requirements : - Selphkie do not evolve

Sharphean
Species Name :: Sharphean | Shark- Fin - Sea | Shar- fee - ann Category :: The Shipwreck Pokemon Type :: Water/Dark
Humanoid - Height : 6'oo'' | Weight : 21olbs Seal Form - Height : 3'9'' | Length : 8'4'' | Weight : 289lbs Gender Ratio : 1oo% Male
Pokedex Entry :: Short - Proud Sharphean don't often spend time with others of their kind. They Train alone unless they have a child. Long - Sharphean are not a fan of humans, especially fishermen. Many will test their might by trying to scare off fishermen, or even sinking ships.
Description :: Sharphean are tall broad-shouldered creatures. They have a long angled head that sports long purple hair that flows at varying lengths. Their body is covered in hard dark navy blue scales, with a softer, but firm purple underbelly, this colour mirror's their head chest. They have large black eyes that take up most of their face. Sharphean have long forked tails that, like their hair, varies in length.
When a certain Water-type move is used*, Sharphean will change forms. Unlike their female counterparts, Sharphean resemble a Sharpedo closely, save Sharphean's long body. Like their humanoid forms, they are covered in thick, firm scales. Their head is primarily a dark purple, much like their bellies, and their body is made up of dark navy blue scales. Unlike their humanoid form, the 'Shark' form has golden accents, such as their eyes and three triangular spots near the corner of their mouths. These golden scales actually point out where their gills are.
Shiny :: Shiny Sharpean are a mix of green and gray. Their heads being green, along with their underbellies, and their bodies being a ashy gray. Their eyes are still black however. The 'shark' form mirrors it's humanoid form, save for the golden accents are now silver.
_________________________ Habitat: Sharphean prefer the ocean, specifically deep waters. When going up towards the surface they prefer being in warmer waters rather than fringed waters, but some Sharphean do prefer colder waters.
Eating habits : Unlike their female counterparts, Sharphean survive only on meat. They are 1oo% carnivores. They prefer fish that school as they are easier to hunt, like Wishiwashi and Tentacool. They don't mind tough meals, like Relicanth or even the hard to find Stunfisk.
Behavior : Shaphean for whatever reason hate humans. Perhaps it is because they are extremely territorial, and seeing someone steal their food makes them angry. They will attack sailors and even swimmers if they come to close to their territory. Aggressive and testosterone driven, they don't like other Sharphean getting close to their feeding grounds. They however, will happily open their grounds to their kin. When it comes to their children, it seems they are often tough, but fair in how they raise them.

╔═════════════╗ ║ Height: 17.8Ft ║ Length: 33.8Ft ║ Width: 10.4 Ft ║ Weight: 725.9lbs ║ Poke'dex entry #1: Echnowail are sometimes called the "DJ's of the sea" for their ability to assimilate any sound they hear into their own unique song. ║ Poke'dex entry #2: As a pod, Echowail use sound based attacks to disorient schools of Wishiwashi before swallowing mouthfuls of them alive. ╚═════════════╝
╔═════════════════════════╗ ║ • Biology: Echnowail are an aquatic mammalian pokemon within the same family-genes as Wailord and Kyogre. Meaning they breathe air through a blowhole located atop their head and thus must surface once every 30 to 45 minutes to breath. On a single breath of air, they can dive to a depth of around 2,000 meters. However, to remain down longer, for upwards of 2 to 3 hours, an Echnowail can take a mouth-full of air with it. It will then, as needed, release small portions of its stored air into the water to be inhaled through the porthole as it chases the bubbled skywards. As a pod, this is often done as a community to ensure each member can remain submerged for as long as possible with as few members needing to surface to collect air as needed.
Their skin starting from the mouth back towards the tail is a grey-black that slowing transitions to a deep purple. The Pectoral fin ( Front flippers ) as well the upper front portion of the body, and the fluke ( Tail fin ) are covered in Chromatophores which are used as either a mating device and or a mean of intimidation towards predation by means of strobing bright neon colors in alternating patterns. Two Dorsal fins protrude from just above the Pectoral and Pelvic fin ( The second set of fins behind the front ) and loop as a flat ring over the body allowing for a streamlined and compact structure. This allows Echnowail to travel at speed comparable to that of a Dewgong.
Echnowail's eyes are covered with a large dome lens with a reflective inner surface that gives the pokemon full 360-degree vision. In addition, a line of neon torque Chromatophores run the length of the pokemon's body from each side of the Fluke along the middle most part of the pokemon and along both the top and bottom jaw. This line of bioluminescent lights are the only ones along the pokemon's entire body that cannot to turned off.
║ •Diet: Echnowail are within the "Swallow" Class of marine predators. As they open their mouth they will rapidly expel all of their stored air. This causes a vacuum effect that sucks in anything unfortunate enough to be within 10 to 15-Ft radios directly in front of the pokemon. This does not mean Echnowail is an indiscriminate hunter. In fact, they maintain a diet exclusively of Wishiwashi and are one of the top predators in the waters of Alola. They hunt by using sound waves to disorient their prey while simultaneously scaring off none viable organisms. This is done by an organ located in the back of the throat. This organ helps regulate the pitch and volume of its sound based attacks witch it can then use to attack a target with pinpoint accuracy.
║ • Habitat: Echnowail live almost exclusively in the warm waters of the Alola region archipelago though on rare occasions have been spotted near the Johto whirl islands and the western coast of the Kalos region though only during breeding season when expecting females migrate to find safer waters to give birth.
║ • Families: Echnowail are often seen traveling in groups called Pods of between three to fifteen members. Each Pod is lead by the biggest and strongest female of the group. It is her job to ensure the safety of the pod and to direct them towards new food sources.
Pods migrate the waters of Alola in seemingly haphazard ways but are in fact following a highly coordinated and organized pattern. To ensure that an area isn't over hunted, or that another pod doesn't stumble upon a recently hunted location and thus finds itself without food, Each pod is in constant communicated with its closes relative pod. This creates a chain of communication that allows each pod to avoid danger, find food, and remain relatively undisturbed.
During the breeding season, once every 3 years between the months of March and May, males begin traveling between the different pods seeking prospective mates. Males will attempt to impregnate at least one female from each new pod it encounters until finally settling in with as small a pod as it can find. This helps to ensure a more diverse gen-pool as each caf born may have a different father. Males also seek smaller pods to increase their necessity within the group dynamic. The dominant female within a pod may sometimes see a lone male as a threat to her leadership and can attack him to prove her worth and superiority. By being within a smaller pod males become more valuable for group survival and thus being attacked could harm the pod in the future.
║ • Communication: Echnowail communicate via a combination of both light and sound and have one of the most complex systems of communication ever encountered in the Pokemon world. There are an estimated 7,000 "words" within their language and over 328 known variation possibilities per word. Each variation is defined by its pitch and a corresponding color. The color indicate the pokemon emotional state as defined by Plutchik’s Wheel of Emotions which represents 164 different emotions assigned to a color while the pitch indicates the personality of the individual Echnowail.
Echnowail is also a musical savant. Often called the Chattot of the sea. They only need to hear a song or noise once to be able to recreate it perfectly and will compose music from the library of sounds they've gather.

Peafoul; The Peachick Pokemon
Peafoul are highly desirable as exotic pets for their cute but ugly appearance and the beautiful scales that they shed along with their fluffy down.
Peafoul carry a faint but terrible odor from the poisons that they generate inside their bodies. Any waste from this pokemon needs to be disposed of carefully because it is highly toxic.
Physiology:
Body Type: Stance: Bipedal Height: 1 foot Length: 7 in Weight: 10 lbs
Peafoul are small bipedal baby birds covered in ashy brown downy feathers. These feathers—while soft—are very durable and water repellant, keeping them nice and dry in heavy rains. However, they are small and not suited for flight, leaving Peafoul ground bound. They have tiny black crests atop their heads, and a small patch of glimmering iridescent blue and green steel scales on their backs near the base of their neck. On rare occasions, some Peafouls hatch as an albino with feathers that are a grey and snowy white, while their scales are a brilliant crimson red. Male Peafouls tend to have more scales and color to them than females, while females have larger claws and beaks.
Peafouls are described as a sort of “ugly cute” because of their unusual appearance. They are soft and fluffy, but their feathers molt frequently, leaving their appearance to look constantly disheveled. They also have a natural smelly stench from the toxins they use to digest food inside their bodies, and wide dopey eyes and a disproportionate body that they need to grow into. As newborns, their legs are long, spindly, unstable stilts that the chicks must strengthen in order to get around without falling flat on their faces.
Their beaks and the claws on their feet, however, are iron hard from the moment they are born. Owners of Peafouls should take caution, because a scratch or a peck from these unruly chicks will draw blood. Additionally, their feces and saliva are incredibly poisonous due to their diet and the toxins they store inside their bodies, so cleaning up after these birds is very difficult and requires special care. This is partially why Peafoul are considered an exotic pet and only usually seen owned by those wealthy enough to care for them properly. As Peafoul grow in age and experience, the tufts atop of their heads and tails start to sport colorful plumes that match their scales when they are close to evolving.
Habitat:
Peafoul typically inhabit the swamps, jungles, and marshes of the pokemon world, such as Sinnoh’s Pastoria Great Marsh, Ula’Ula Meadow, the dense forests around Fortree City, or Laverre Nature Trail. Their usual murky brown coloring blends in well with the muddy waters. Some nests can also be found in the dense forests of Poni Island such as Poni Grove, Poni Meadow, and Poni Plains.
Peafoul live in large, dome-like, clay structures built by their parent Peanix. These structures blend in well with the swampy environment and are very sturdy and low to the ground because Peafoul are flightless birds but need to move around. When a Peafoul senses that it’s in danger, it will often run back to their nest and use it as a fort to defend against predators.
Behavior:
Peafoul are quite dependent on their parents during this evolutionary stage because they have not fully developed. Their bodies are still quite weak and vulnerable since they haven’t shed their fluffy feathery coat for the steel feathered one that they get as they evolve. They also aren’t strong or large enough to be completely independent in hunting for their own food outside of foraging for plants and pecking at bugs in the earth, and thus depend on their parents to provide the majority of their food for them. Despite this, Peafoul are not to be underestimated, as they can still do quite a bit of damage if neglected or left to their own devices. These chicks demand a lot of attention and care, so owners who seek them out as exotic pets are frequently overwhelmed with all their needs. If they are hungry, Peafoul peep incessantly until they are either fed, or they manage to find something eatable nearby—which includes taking a peck at their trainers, teammates, or brothers and sisters.
When not consumed by the thought of food, Peafoul are quite curious little creatures. They enjoy exploring their surroundings, which is often a comical sight because they often move too quickly for their gangly bodies to keep up with, which results in Peafoul tripping over themselves. In spite of this, Peafoul are often undeterred or oblivious to their clumsiness and pick themselves right back up and keep going as if nothing happened.
Peafoul also have a fondness for burrowing under things like loose leaves and dirt. In their natural habitat, they are encouraged to do so by their parents so that they mask their scent and keep themselves camouflaged. In more urban habitats, they can still portray these instinctual habits by burrowing under blankets or the fur of a larger pokemon. They also enjoy splashing in small puddles of water or snow before preening themselves, both to keep clean and just for fun.
While mostly oblivious, Peafoul tend to grow anxious around lupine pokemon such as rockruff and lycanroc due to their longstanding territorial disputes. They also have a sort of rivalry with Salandit and Salazzle because of their corrosive abilities and their tendency to steal Peafoul eggs. Otherwise, Peafoul are fairly ambivalent opinions about any other pokemon including their own kind; meaning they will act and react purely based on their experiences with those types of pokemon.
Male Peafoul tend to be less active than female Peafoul. While the females run in circles and appear curious about everything, male Peafoul are perfectly happy to sit still, be fed, and preen themselves all day. This behavior is only more reinforced in the wild given how overprotective parent Peanix will be of their male Peafoul chicks.
Diet:
Peafoul’s appetites are endless and they will devour almost everything in sight. Upon their hatching, these hungry little birds need to be fed at least once every ten minutes or they will grow too weak and eventually die. While this isn’t a problem for adult Peanix parents caring for their chicks in the wild (since they are naturally efficient and powerful hunters), it can be hectic for a trainer to keep up with, should they have the misfortune of attempting to hatch and raise a Peafoul on their own.
These tiny baby birds are heavily reliant on their huntress mothers to feed them, given that Peafouls themselves are not strong or skilled enough to hunt, fight, and take down prey on their own. Typically they travel on foot with their mothers and scavenge for food. This usually consists of anything eatable, such as berries, mushrooms, moss, or carrion that they may find in their search. It is apparent, however, that Peafoul are designed more for a scavenger diet, as they can then use their steel claws and vice-like beaks to break bones and tear into tough meat.
Peafoul also prefer to eat poisonous pokemon due to their poison immunity. They can hunt small poison type bugs, pecking at the ground or inside mud/water puddles for small insects to eat, scavenge for poisonous berries and plants, and eat larger poison types such as ekans and arbok if hunted and brought back by their mothers. Having a large amount of toxins in their diet dissuades potential predators from preying on Peafoul. While these birds can live off of a vegetarian diet, they do prefer meat and insects and tend to display carnivorous tendencies when given a choice between the two.

Peafoul cannot breed because they are only the baby stage of their evolutionary line. Their species is one of the few that are primarily female, along with the litleo line. As such, male Peafoul and their evolutions are highly coveted and protected viciously by Peachic and Peanix. If a nest contains a male Peafoul, the parents will even sacrifice their female chicks to protect the males if necessary.

Peachic; The Steel Fan Pokemon
These exotic birds were once hunted to near extinction for their beautiful steel plumes. Today their colors and pristine feathers are still considered to be the epitome of luxury and fashion.
Despite Peachic’s beauty, these birds are even more deadly than their pre-evolution. These vain pokemon flings their sharp quill-like feathers at anyone who displeases them.
Peachic are very vibrant and colorful bipedal pokemon with long beautiful tails of steel, quill-like plumage. Peachic can fold these tails back behind them or lift them up to form a fan-like shape behind them by using their wings to adjust the thick steel scales that coat their backs. While a Peachic’s tail and scales are tough as steel, their bodies are coated in softer, more pliable metal feathers, making this part of their body more vulnerable than the rest. However, that does not make their front any less defenseless. Their steel, vice-like beaks and claws are just as strong and sharp as their tails if not more so, and their legs are also coated with thick steel scales, which allow them to deliver powerful kicks and scratches.
While the steel quills on their backs are beautiful, they are also deadly; sharp as knives and coated in a poisonous film. This film is not corrosive and can be touched to the skin without any adverse effects, but if ingested or injected into the body, it can cause severe illness and even death, depending on the amount and time.
When looking at the quill’s structure, the feathers are made of several tiny, sharp, colorful metal spikes that line sharp hollow stems, which are made of a much thicker and tougher metal that forms the backbone of the quill. The hollow stem allows for Peachic to inject the quills with poison before firing it off, or to cause the feathers to coat themselves in more of its poisonous film. The bright and vibrant colors seem to shimmer and change in coloration depending on the angle due to the millions of tiny side branches lining the stems. Because of the nature of its coloration, when Peachic flash their tail feathers it can have a pulsating and hypnotic effect. Peachic can use these quills for both offense and defense in battle. Their steel plated quills make for a protective steel fan capable of deflecting hits, but their razor edge and poisonous coat also makes them effective projectile weapons that Peachic can release from their body and send flying.
Watching Peachic in battle is said to fill the onlooker with a mixture of awe and fear of these graceful fighters. Peachic attack with quick and precise movements, often jumping, gliding, twisting and turning through the air like an acrobatic performance while utilizing their tail to defend, attack, distract, and misdirect opponents. It’s possible that this form of fighting was adapted from or by the Oricorio species.
Male Peachic tend to have longer tails and more vibrant plumage than females, but females have longer bodies, claws, and beaks that make them more suited for attacking and hunting. Most Peachic are covered in royal blue colored feathers around their bodies with iridescent quills that shimmer with blue, green, gold, purple, and orange colors. However, some albino variants have pure white bodies and blood red quills and crowns.
Peachic can fly surprisingly well in spite of their massive plumage, but it is tiring. They much prefer to walk around or simply glide from a high perch to an area down below, but if need be they can take off into the air to avoid danger. Unfortunately their preference to be ground bound makes them more susceptible to ground based attacks than other bird pokemon.
Habitat:
In spite of their colorful appearance, many Peachic still typically inhabit the swamps and marshes of the pokemon world, such as Sinnoh’s Pastoria Great Marsh or Kalos’ Route 14, and in the dense forests of Poni Island such as Poni Grove, Poni Meadow, and Poni Plains. This is primarily because migration elsewhere via flight is a long and exhausting process that most Peachic would prefer not to deal with. However, some Peachic, once evolved and living on their own, will migrate to heavily wooded areas such as Viridian, Ilex, Eterna, Pinwheel, White, or Santalune Forest, as well as the area surrounding Fortree City.
Behavior:
The most notable and common behavioral trait in Peachic is that they are pompous, dignified, and haughty. The difference is they are all proud of different things. Females tend to be more proud of their power, whereas males tend to simply believe they are superior to everything, and are very vain about their looks. Given how they act and are raised in the wild, this isn’t surprising. Their flocks are taught to protect males at all costs, so females are raised to fight, while males tend to live a more cushy life raising Peafoul under the protection of the females.
As such, female Peachic tend to be more aggressive and brusque, while males are more regal and laid back. Neither should be underestimated in a fight though, they simply have different fighting strategies. Since males aren’t as physically built like females, they’re less inclined to fight and instead focus on more defensive, evasive, and misdirecting techniques to distract and wear out opponents before delivering a tactful final blow, cool and calculating… until you get their feathers dirty, and then they will furiously attack you with everything they have. Females however are physically built to hunt and defend with physical prowess. They are the ones who will hunt for a flock and bring back meals, as well as defend the nests.
Males, while strong and tactful in their own right, are built more for intelligence and elegance to attract female mates and raise a nest of Peafoul. It should be noted that Peachic have a softness to them around young or baby pokemon as their fatherly instincts kick in. It is not uncommon for male Peachic to try and adopt pokemon into their nest (much to the females’ dismay and disproval).
Diet:
Peachic are scavengers; they hunt for anything they can find in their harsh habitat environments and devour it. However, Peachic love fresh meat, preferably from poison type snakes such as ekans, arbok, and seviper. They also enjoy fishing for basculin and eating poisonous bugs such as weedle. If they cannot find any meat or bugs, they will resort to eating berries and other plants that they can find.
Breeding Information:
Egg group(s): Flying and Dragon Gender Ratio: 1♂: 7♀
A unique aspect of this pokemon is that the males are the nest keepers. Females lay the eggs, but once they have done so, the males guard them while the females protect the nesting grounds.
Male Peachic attempt to impress females with their flashy colors and prowess on the battlefield by staying alive. A weak male doesn’t impress female Peachic because it means that in the event of an invasion the male Peachic cannot be relied on to protect a nest. Typically, male and female Peachic will fight each other to prove their strength to one another; the male proving he can protect a nest and the female proving she is strong as well. If the pair is evenly matched, they will go to make a nest, but if either side loses handily, it shows they are too weak and they will be rejected by the other as a suitable mate.
However, Peachic are more likely to mate than Peanix due to the rarity of males. As soon as Male Peafoul evolve, female Peafoul and Peanix are eager to fight him and see if he is worthy of breeding rights. The scarcity of males puts this pressure on male Peachic to find an eligible mate as quickly as possible. Additionally, Peachic don’t typically mate for life. Due to their scarcity and constantly fluctuating tempers, they do not usually stick with the same mate for long periods of time. The flock tends to raise Peafoul eggs as a unit rather than individual parents, but male Peachic, in particular, do tend to hold some attachment to their own chicks more than others.

Peanix; The Fenghuang Pokemon
The males were originally called feng and the females huang, but such a distinction of gender is often no longer made and now they are blurred into a single feminine entity due to Peanix commonly being female but still associated with masculine and draconic traits.
Scientists have studied these birds’ genealogy and determined that they are possibly the ancient ancestors of bird pokemon such as altaria and skarmory.
Since evolving, Peanix are now covered in the steel scales that the started developing as Peachic. These scales cover their entire body like a steel scaly skin, but they are only visible along their back and claws, because the rest of their body is covered in their colorful steel feathers. Peanix are also much larger than their pre-evolution, and their tails have developed to have a more diverse plumage ranging from thicker steel plates like that of a skarmory’s wings to the same projectile structures as a Peachic, and it can still expand and contract it’s tail like that of a fan. Their heads and wings have strips of thicker steel plates a means of protection. The plates along it’s wings separate the Peanix’s body from the feathers.
Peanix beaks are much larger now, allowing them to perform even stronger beak based attacks. Additionally, by clicking their steel beaks together, Peanix can create sparks that will ignite the poisonous gas that they can exhale, and creating the appearance of fire breathing. Using this fire, they can set the smaller steel fibers of their wings on fire and use it to attack. It is this ability that gives it the association with a phoenix.
Male Peanix have longer feathers, thinner beaks and smaller, sleeker bodies than female Peanix. Normal colored Peanix are predominantly blue, with green accents, golden-green scales, and bronze beaks. However, some Peanix are albino, covered in white feathers with red accents and scales with dark black beaks and claws.
Habitat:
In spite of their colorful appearance, Peanix still typically inhabit the harsher biomes of the pokemon world. Like their previous evolution, some can be found in forests and wooded areas such as Viridian, Ilex, Eterna, Pinwheel, White, or Santalune Forest, as well as the area surrounding Fortree City. However, more Peanix are found in the same areas as Peafoul in the swamps and marshes of the pokemon world, such as Sinnoh’s Pastoria Great Marsh or Kalos’ Route 14, and dense forests of Poni Island such as Poni Grove, Poni Meadow, and Poni Plains. This is because these swampy areas are ideal for building nests for Peafoul, but solitary Peanix can also make a habitat in unusual and harsh environments such as Mount Konikoni to be sure they are left alone and undisturbed.
One can tell, based on where the Peanix nest is built, whether or not a Peanix is trying to have a nest of Peafoul, because Peanix that build their nests at the base of large sturdy trees and rocks instead of higher perches are assuring that their baby Peafoul can get inside. These nests are often made of compacted mud and plant matter to form large clay dome or beehive-like structures that harden and petrify over time into a solid defensive fortress.
Behavior:
Fenghuang are known in some cultures as a bird that rules over all other birds, and this trait accurately describes Peanix. These ancient and colossal steel birds are natural rulers over their own flock and other species of bird pokemon. Tough, smart, and domineering, Peanix will assert themselves, take charge, and fight any opposition if the need to prove themselves. Male Peanix in particular are used to being in charge and have a difficult time accepting anything less, whereas if female Peanix are defeated or shown reason why they need to step down and let another take the lead, they are more reasonable about it and will fall in line behind the new leader. This dynamic is interesting given the bird’s personalities at the beginning of their evolutionary line. The females seem to calm down with age and the males seem to grow more uppity.
There is a longstanding rivalry between Peanix and wolf pokemon such as lycanrock, as it is said the first Peanix fled to the harsh wilds of Poni Island to escape a pack of lycanrock. Peanix also tend to hold grudges particularly against Salandit and Salazzle for trying to steal their eggs. Peanix in particular are very vengeful pokemon and will bear grudges for a long period of time, even if one of the flock hasn’t actually experienced reason to bear that grudge. Flocks simply have a hive-mind, so if one member of the group is upset and disgruntled about something, the others will sense it as well. This is why challenging or upsetting a flock of Peanix is particularly unwise. During nesting season, Peanix are particularly ornery and will attack anything that comes into the vicinity of their nesting grounds, even members of their own flock at times.
Diet:
Peanix are scavengers; they hunt for anything they can find in their harsh habitat environments and devour it. However, Peanix love fresh meat, preferably from poison type snakes such as ekans, arbok, and seviper. They also enjoy fishing for basculin and larger fish, and can even eat poisonous aquatic pokemon such as quillfish, toxicroak, and Mareanie. While Peanix can eat poisonous bugs, plants, and berries, the food doesn’t really sustain Peanix enough to make it worth hunting. These foods are consumed more as snacks if Peanix happen to come across them.
Breeding Information:
Egg group(s): Flying and Dragon Gender Ratio: 1♂: 7♀
Peanix lay eggs with shells as tough as steel, making them almost impossible to get into, or out of. This is partially why baby Peafoul have such tough beaks and claws, so that when they hatch, they can break through. However, this also makes Salandit and Salazzle the perfect predators for Peanix eggs because they are naturally suited to steal these eggs and have little to no competition. As such, Peanix are particularly aggressive towards any Salandit or Salazzle they see.
As with Peachic, the female Peanix are the egg layers while males are nest keepers after the fact, while females hunt for food and guard the nesting grounds. Female Peanix are less likely to mate than males because of the gender ratio, and if they have not mated already at this stage in their evolution then they tend to accept their solitary life and perhaps even prefer it. Additionally, for male Peanix, it is almost unheard of to find one without a mate due to the need for them to breed as soon as they are able as Peachic in order to preserve the species.

Peanix does not evolve.

Flavor Text :: As a result of their species subsisting on an iron-rich diet supplemented with building their nests by ore veins, Avirons are naturally born with thick metal helmets adorning their heads. However, newly hatched Avirons are very clumsy and will blunder into objects before they are able to adjust to the weight of the helmet on their skulls.
Avirons are quadrupedal Pokemon about the size of a small housecat when initially hatched, but grow to be roughly the size of a medium sized dog. They appear to be two radically different sorts of creatures combined into one, with a distinctly avian-like front half with more feline-like hindquarters. They are covered in a thick coat of feathers on the front half with a blend of fur towards the back legs, tail, and underside, which are a rich red color all over, transitioning into a darker hue along the outermost primary flight feathers of the wing. On rare occasions, a hatching Aviron may have fur and feathers in varying shades of blue, as well as sporting darker hues on their metal helmet.
The top of the Aviron’s skull is composed of thick, heavy iron that forms a helmet over the top of its muzzle, tapering into a beak-like formation that hangs several inches over the bottom jaw tipped with a coating of a much harder, more durable iron alloy to make it less susceptible to blunting or breakage when used to attack or break apart small pieces of ore to get at the iron inside. By repeatedly bashing and butting its head into objects and during play with siblings, this aids in tempering the metal and strengthening it to make any attacks involving use of their head to do more damage as well as make the metal less susceptible to breakage. The bones and muscles within the Aviron’s neck in particular are thick and reinforced so that it doesn’t simply snap under the weight of the heavy metal helmet upon hatching. However, this also makes it harder for the Pokemon to turn its head around to look behind it. As such, an Aviron primarily relies on its keen sense of hearing to gauge activity beyond its blind spots, including the approach of any potential predators. Sets of thick iron scales adorn each of the front legs to provide extra protection against foes that attempt to hinder the Aviron by attacking those particular areas. As Avirons start to age and develop further, more iron scales start developing along their forelegs, and a small horn-like nub starts to form atop their helmet to signify that they are almost ready to evolve.
A thick bundle of retrices are located at the base of the spine where the tail connects. Because an Aviron’s wings are not strong enough for them to fly on their own, their retrices are much stiffer than those of Pyraptor or Griffoundry to help them brace against rocks and other terrain and keep themselves balanced while they climb. Avirons are capable of gliding short distances using their wings, typically by climbing to higher places and jumping from there. The forelegs are covered in a layer of small but sturdy golden scales to protect from the roughness of the terrain they grow up in, and are tipped with reinforced talons to provide ease of climbing for traversing over rocks. Male Avirons have longer retrices than females, and as such are a bit more prone to losing them from regular daily activities. In addition, male Avirons are easily distinguishable from females from the twin crest of bright orange feathers extending from just behind the ears and ending at the base of the neck. At this stage, the crest feathers are notably very stiff, and serve to provide a means of defense as the neck is a very particular blind spot that predators will often go for. The bones and muscles in an Aviron’s neck are too thick for it to simply be snapped unless extreme force is used, though it can still suffer serious or fatal damage if vital blood vessels are damaged or severed. Because female Avirons lack this protective crest, they are often more likely targets for predators and require closer supervision by the parents, though casualties are not uncommon.
The internal temperature of an Aviron is maintained around a relatively constant temperature of 120 degrees Celsius, and alternates between lowering during the summer when there is a lot of excess heat and rising during the winter when heat is sparse. Especially in the winter time, Avirons will huddle close to their siblings and parents to share their combined heat together and stay warm, primarily during the harsh, bitter cold nights. Much like humans, an Aviron cannot withstand temperatures below a certain point, and a drop in temperature well below 95 degrees Celsius can be extremely fatal as their bodies function optimally at higher temperatures. This is especially a major risk during the winter, as an Aviron can quickly burn itself out by constantly maintaining a higher body temperature without a steady influx of nutrients to fuel it. In addition to adjusting their internal temperature, Avirons will also alternate between a thicker, heavier winter coat, which is then shed towards the start of spring to allow them to start growing their much thinner summer coat. An Aviron is also able to utilize its ability to control its internal temperature to heat liquids inside its stomach similar to how a kettle boils water and forcefully shoot it back out at an enemy in the form of a Scald attack.
Behavior :: A typical solitary Griffoundry family will bear up to 2 or 3 Avirons at a time on average during breeding season. Newborn Avirons and are naturally timid creatures, rarely straying far from their nests without the supervision of their parents. However, as they take their first steps and get to know their surroundings, they grow extremely curious and eager to explore the world outside of the roost. They learn primarily by sensory experiences, and are quick to absorb new knowledge that is presented to them, albeit with a cautious approach. In the case of trained Avirons, they can be very impressionable as they see their trainers both as parents and as their primarily life tutors. Plenty of positive reinforcement and discipline is advised when trainers are raising newborn Avirons.
Among their own kind, Avirons and their siblings tend to get on fairly well with one another, apart from occasional disputes over food or attention from their parents. They play together and display kinship by butting each other with their metal-clad heads, and also spar in a similar manner as they grow and develop. The act of bashing their helmets against one another also helps to temper the metal and strengthen it, a necessity that will become more apparent as they grow. In their early stages after hatching, Avirons can be rather awkward and clumsy as they are adjusting to carrying the added weight of the armor atop their heads, though their necks are thick and well-adapted so that they don’t snap under the helmet’s weight. Upon first hatching, young Avirons often bump and bash into various objects and creatures alike, but after much trial and error and several tries they will acclimate enough to be able to walk normally with relative ease and little hassle. Avirons are still developing and growing, and they are unable to hunt by themselves at first. As they grow stronger, however, Avirons will start setting out and learn the ropes of hunting once their parents deem them ready.
With trainers and people in general, newly hatched Avirons often imprint on them and view them as parental figures. Naturally timid creatures at first, they will always stay close to their trainers’ side to the point where they seem almost clingy. But as they adjust to their surroundings, Avirons display a boundless sense of curiosity and become much more playful and energetic. They will often seek out play with other teammates, especially newly hatched Avirons who will tend to imprint on other Pokemon as well and view them as littermates or possible parental figures as well. They tend to get on fairly well with other Pokemon when raised and socialized among them, though Steel-types tend to be much more wary of them because of their tendency to consume metals. Aron and its evolutions in particular may harbor a dislike of Avirons and their kin due to territorial rivalries that often occur between Griffoundry and Aggron as well as often being prey to them.
However, trainers need be careful, as an Aviron’s primary method of play involves butting its ironclad head against anything or anyone within close proximity. While young Avirons are generally not strong enough to cause any fatal injuries with their headbutts, the tough metal on their heads can inflict bruises and is capable of even fracturing bone if they play too roughly.
Communication :: Avirons are very sharp, attentive, and have an aptitude for learning even at a relatively young age. Trained Avirons can be taught to speak simple words and phrases in English or any native language at the trainer's discretion, and oftentimes will mimic words that they hear much like how a young human child will often parrot what their parents and peers say.
Eating Habits :: Young Avirons are typically unable to hunt for themselves, and depend on their parents to bring food to them. The general starting diet for newly hatched Avirons consist of small fish, berries, and chunks of meat that are pre-chewed and fed to them by their parents. As Avirons develop and grow stronger, they can be weaned onto whole pieces of meat and berries and are able to eat on their own without any aid. Avirons will also supplement their diets with small chunks of iron ore found by picking apart rocks with their sturdy beaks, which are typically swallowed whole or broken into more manageable chunks if they are too large.
Trainers who are taking care of young Avirons are advised to start them off with soft foods that are relatively easy to eat consisting primarily of ground meat or fish and milk, and gradually wean them onto solid meals as their teeth and jaws develop and strengthen. Avirons are considered borderline facultative carnivores/omnivores; they prefer meat and other protein/iron rich foods above anything else even if other choices are available. However, in the absence of meat they will accept most other foods as a temporary substitute, including vegetables (reluctantly) and berries.
However, such substitutions are not recommended for extended periods of time, as an iron-rich diet is critical for an Aviron to be able to survive. Anemia caused by iron deficiency is often fatal for young Avirons if not treated immediately.
Habitat :: Avirons are often nested in areas near where iron ore veins can be found, primarily on mountains, in caves, on cliffs, etc. Nests have even been found in mines that have long since been abandoned by humans.

Flavor Text :: Pyraptors have an innate sixth sense that allows them to pinpoint the location of metal veins, and they can bash rock apart with relative ease using the newly developed horn on their helmets to extract the ore inside.
Physiology ::
Body Type :: Build :: Quadruped Height :: 5’6” Length :: 6'8" Wingspan :: 6 feet Weight :: 386.6 lbs.
Pyraptors are medium-sized quadrupedal Pokemon, now roughly about as tall as an average human and a fair bit more imposing than their tiny-sized predecessors. They now sport a large horn on top of their metal helmet, thick at the base and tapering to a sword-sharp tip coated with the same iron alloy as the tip of the upper ‘beak’ for better durability. The horn serves as a tool for both work and war, as a Pyraptor can use its horn to bash apart large rocks with ease to get at the precious ore hidden inside in addition to its primary weapon in close-quarters combat. The horn of a male Pyraptor is longer and larger than the female, though the smaller size of the female’s horn makes them no less effective. As Pyraptors approach closer to evolving, the horn will start to curve towards the back of the skull as it grows. Thick iron plates underneath serve to protect its vulnerable underbelly from attack, and thick metal formations similar to those of knight’s greaves cover its back legs. More iron scales have formed along its forelegs, which will begin to gradually fuse together in preparation for the final evolution as it approaches closer.
Numerous rings of iron adorn its tail, though newly evolved Pyraptors typically lack these due to just being introduced into the warrior’s hierarchy that Pyraptors abide by. The hierarchy revolves around a numbers system, more seasoned warriors will possess a larger number of tail rings as opposed to younger, fresh start greenhorns who will typically have very few to none. The number of tail rings a Pyraptor has dictates the number of foes of greater or equal strength it has defeated, which by extension determines its ranking in the hierarchy system. For male Pyraptors especially, the number of tail rings also plays a role in determining if he can successfully claim a mate when breeding season comes, as females will typically prioritize males with a greater number of rings.
Unlike those of Aviron, the retrices of Pyraptor become longer and more flexible, better suited for maintaining balance and generating lift for flight. Similar to their previous evolution, the retrices of a male Pyraptor are longer than the female, and are more prone to becoming damaged or lost from daily activity. The muscles of a Pyraptor’s wings are more greatly developed to carry them through the air even with the newly added weight of their armor, and allow them to fly tirelessly for days on end. Trained Pyraptors are capable of bearing up to two riders on their backs with relative ease. In the case that a Pyraptor is incapacitated in midair or otherwise becomes helpless during flight, the wings naturally unfurl and strong ligaments in their structure cause them to stiffen. This allows the Pyraptor to fall back to earth in a tight corkscrew, aiding in minimizing damage caused by the fall regardless of distance. The feather crests of male Pyraptors become much more flexible, they are usually flush against the neck when the Pokemon is relaxed and happy, but can spring up in a quick, wrist-flick motion when the male flashes them as a sign of challenge, intimidation, or when expressing rage and irritation.
Being capable of handling more extreme temperatures than their pre-evolutions, the internal temperature of a Pyraptor can reach as high as 1,520 degrees Celsius. Because excess heat tends to build up relatively quickly, the Pyraptor compensates by venting superheated air through its ears, nose, and mouth. Because of the extreme high temperatures of these emissions, trainers are advised to exercise caution as it can easily cause very severe and potentially fatal burns. Because they are able to constantly maintain such a high internal temperature, the need to grow a thicker coat during the winter to retain heat is not as much a necessity as it was for their pre-evolutions. As a result, they will maintain their thinner coats virtually year-round. Still, Pyraptors will shed their older feathers and fur at least once every four months to make room for a new, healthy coat.
Behavior :: Pyraptors are considerably more active and rambunctious than their pre-evolved kin, capable of hunting and caring for themselves without any aid from their parents. With their wings fully developed at this stage, Pyraptors will leave their nests and go off on their own in search of new challenges, a new home to establish themselves, and a mate. Pyraptors are renowned for being brave and sometimes reckless to a fault, and actively seek to hone their strengths using whatever means they can. They have an innate sixth sense that gives them the ability to seek out locations where metal veins can be found, and use the thick, sharp horn that has developed on their metallic helmets to break apart the rock and extract the ore inside. Their keen senses made them sought after by miners, and they were well-known for being a blacksmith’s best friend in the days of old. A Pyraptor’s first priority is building upon its strength and capabilities, seeking out opponents from anywhere in the world to challenge and attempt to best in combat.
When two Pyraptors meet each other, they perform a sort of ritualistic greeting consisting of roaring threateningly and flashing their brightly-colored feather crests at one another before proceeding to beat each other near senseless. Female Pyraptors, lacking a feather crest, will instead point their horns at their opponent in a similar manner as a duelist. This behavior is often mistaken as one individual attempting to drive another away from its supposed established territory, but thorough observations and studies have shown that this behavior is actually the species’ way of challenging and sparring with one another to test each other’s strength.
This kind of behavior exhibited by Pyraptors aren’t limited to just their own kind either, they will challenge and spar with other Pokemon outside of their own species as well. Despite their recklessness, Pyraptors are very selective when it comes to picking their opponents. They only challenge others who are of equal or greater strength than their own, they find no challenge in defeating foes who are weaker than them. Trained Pyraptors will often challenge particularly strong teammates to spar, and can form strong kinship or rivalries with a Pokemon that they may deem to be a worthy opponent. They may view a much stronger teammate as a mentor, and strive to push themselves and train harder so that they may become as strong as them and even capable of besting them in combat.
Being able to challenge and defeat foes who are equal to or stronger than they are is also an important test of strength required for evolution, a Pyraptor is considered capable of evolving if they can defeat opponents who are much stronger than them. Whenever a Pyraptor defeats such a foe in combat, they will create and add a ring onto their tails as a means of tallying up how many battles they have won. The tail ring is typically forged from freshly dug up iron ore that a Pyraptor will seek out when foraging, though such rings are crudely made at first due to the rapid nature of the forging process. However, Pyraptors will refine the make of these rings over time to make them smoother and stronger.
When Pyraptors fight one another, the winner is entitled to taking one of the loser’s tail rings to add to their own collection. The number of rings on a Pyraptor’s tail is used to discern younger greenhorns from more seasoned and stronger fighters, though younger novices may attempt to challenge veterans in hopes of taking one of their rings for themselves. In rare cases, a particularly foolhardy fighter may attempt to pick a fight with a Griffoundry to earn a tail ring, though such encounters tend to result in the challenge being ignored by the elder or the young upstart being beaten badly and sent off with its tail between its legs.
Trainers who are raising members of the Aviron’s evolutionary line may be surprised and unprepared for the dramatic shift in behavior following an Aviron’s evolution into Pyraptor. Though wild individuals and wanderers by nature, trained Pyraptors will tend to remain fairly close to their trainers. However, they are very independent and require some degree of freedom or else they can become restless and easily agitated. Pyraptors are very protective of their trainers, especially if they imprinted on them while they had been Avirons, and will not hesitate to leap to their aid when they sense that their owner is being threatened. They will even take on Pokemon much larger and stronger than themselves to protect their trainers, and many owners value Pyraptor for both its bravery and tenacity. While some trainers may find Pyraptor’s hot-blooded, wild nature to be an invigorating change, others find it rather tiring trying to keep up with its near constant ‘go go go’ behavior. Pyraptors often don’t settle down to rest until they’ve expended all of their energy, only stopping to battle or to eat on a daily basis.
Communication :: Being much more developed than their predecessors, trained Pyraptors are capable of speaking and understanding more complex words and phrases if taught by their trainers. A Pyraptor's manner of speech is often rather rough and brusque, and they tend to punctuate their words with growls, clicks, and other sounds common among their species. Pyraptors prefer to communicate more through action than with words, though they will voice their needs and opinions when they feel it's most important, even if the timing is far from the most appropriate.
Breeding & Families :: A Pyraptor’s strength and combat prowess are qualities that are evaluated when mating season comes around. Female Pyraptors are every bit as strong as their male counterparts, and their courting rituals are fairly similar to the species’ way of challenging foes. A female Pyraptor will approach a male, and will lower her head with her horn pointing directly at him as a signal to prepare himself. Once ready, the female will then charge at the male and engage him in a rigorous battle routine that involves both sides going all out against each other. If the male Pyraptor manages to overcome the female and best her fairly in combat, she takes him as a mate. If the male shows any sign of holding back against her or is defeated, the female Pyraptor deems him unworthy as a mate and flies off to challenge another male. Males with particularly brittle armor that fractures easily is indicative of poor health or lack of proper self-care, and thus they will also be passed up by female Pyraptors. More seasoned fighters with a veritable number of tail rings are much more likely to be chosen as a potential mate than a younger greenhorn with only a few, as the rings function as tangible proof of a male's strength and combat prowess, as well as their ability to ward off other potential male suitors to be more successful at earning a mate.
Though the female tends to be the primary driving force in a successful or unsuccessful mating, in some cases the opposite can prove to be true as well. Male Pyraptors will often drive away or otherwise refuse to mate with a female if she has significantly less tail rings than him. In such cases, the general rule of thumb is that if a female is interested in mating with a particular male, she may have no more than up to three tail rings less compared to the male's tally. Any more than that makes her undesirable as a mate to more seasoned males, as a result she will resort to finding a mate among the younger and less experienced candidates or even outside of their species if truly desperate measures are needed to be taken.
After performing a successful mating ritual, the male and female Pyraptor will venture off together, some even form battling pairs as they seek new challenges and grow stronger alongside each other. Pyraptors are considered too hot-blooded and vigorous to simply settle down and raise a family, though they are essentially capable of reproducing at this stage. Most Pyraptors will wait until evolution into their final stage before finding a suitable place to nest and raise their families.
Mating outside of their species is not entirely unheard of, but it is not a common practice among their kind. A particularly desperate male or female Pyraptor who was unable to successfully find a mate during reproduction season may choose to take a suitor of a different species, performing a similar ritual in which they test the strength of their chosen candidate to determine if they will make a worthwhile paramour by challenging them in a bout of one-on-one combat. Dragon-types in particular such as Salamence, Noivern, and Altaria are very popular candidates because they are supposedly inherently much stronger than most other Pokemon typically found in the wild, though Pyraptors may also favor a particularly strong Flying-type such as Charizard and Braviary as a potential mate as well.
Pyraptors are rarely found in large groups, the only exception being during mating season. Pyraptors are primarily solitary and travel alone, those who have successfully found a mate may travel in pairs.
Eating Habits :: Capable of hunting for themselves, Pyraptors utilize a few different techniques in order to take down and capture potential prey items. Their primary hunting method consists of the Pyraptor flying high up just above cloud cover, carefully surveying the grounds below as it circles around. When it spots potential prey, the Pyraptor will then fold in its wings and descend towards the ground at a long, low-angled glide, continuing to increase its speed as it pulls its wings closer to its body. As it approaches, the Pyraptor fans its hindfeathers and thrusts its front legs forward, whipping its wings against the wind just before it fells or weakens the prey with a swift sweep of its talons and a well-placed horn thrust. Pyraptors typically use this technique to target solitary individuals, and are notoriously persistent pursuit hunters capable of chasing prey for miles if the strike misses completely or the initial blow lands but fails to take them down or incapacitate them.
Another observed hunting method utilized by Pyraptors is used primarily against large groups of potential prey items. A Pyraptor flies over a group and causes all individuals within range to huddle close or flee, in some cases roaring loudly or utilizing an attack such as Dragon Pulse or Air Slash to force the herd to scatter. It will then single out one individual from within the group, engages pursuit in a speedy downward glide, and attempts to land on the prey’s back and establish a solid grip with its claws. Once it gets a firm hold, the Pyraptor will lash out with an incapacitating strike using its horn and then takes off with its prey in tow.
Pyraptors often take prey within a small to medium size range, though instances of individuals going after larger targets have been documented by researchers. However, this behavior appears to be more out of convenience than preference, Pyraptors are constantly on the move and will hunt anything within close proximity when hungry. Raticate, Deerling, Bibarel, and various fish Pokemon are only a few examples of the types of prey items that Pyraptors will target, and they have also been known to hunt slower Flying-types such as Pelipper, Trumbeak, and Pidgeotto. Smaller Steel-type Pokemon such as Aron, Bronzor, Durant, Pawniard, and Togedemaru are particularly favorite prey items for Pyraptors because of their metallic composition, and if they are present in an area where a Pyraptor hunts they are often prioritized over any other potential prey.
In certain cases where a Pyraptor may share close company with other Steel-types on its trainer’s team, they will exercise great restraint to not instinctively go after them as potential food and will typically fly off temporarily to hunt before they end up losing control and doing something they would surely regret. It, however, does not stop them from casting the occasional hungry glance at such teammates, possibly accompanied by a lick of the chops as if they are extremely tempted to do so.
Like their pre-evolution, Pyraptors are borderline facultative carnivores/omnivores, and prefer red meats and fish above anything else. However, they are capable of tolerating more long-term substitutions in grains, vegetables, and berries and are less vulnerable to potential fatality by anemia caused by iron deficiency to an extent. Pyraptors still require a relatively steady supply of iron in their diets, however, as prolonged deficiency can manifest in symptoms such as increased agitation and aggressive behavior, lethargy, fatigue, and other symptoms associated with moderate to severe anemia, as well as gradual development of brittleness and armor fracturing that is a primary sign of poor health.
Habitat :: Upon achieving independence and the ability to fly, Pyraptors are wanderers by nature and don’t settle in any one place until they achieve their final evolution. They tend to favor areas where iron can be found and harvested, such as mountains, caves, cliffs, and even abandoned mines.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
(Male) (Female)
Species :: Griffoundry Name Origin ::Griffin (Mythical hybrid of lion and eagle) ; Foundry (Factory that processes metals) Classification :: Iron Forge Pokemon Type :: Steel/Fire Egg Group :: Dragon/Flying Gender Ratio :: 70% Male ; 30% Female Sexual Dimorphism :: Males have two feathery crests extending from behind the ears to the base of the neck, females do not have these crests. Females also tend to have smaller tail tufts and shorter retrices (tail feathers), and the prominent horns on their helmets are significantly smaller in comparison to males.
Abilities :: Ability #1: Filter- Damage by super-effective moves is reduced by 25%. Ability #2: Sheer Force- Attacks with a secondary effect deal x1.3 more damage, but lose their secondary effect. Hidden Ability: Mold Breaker- The Pokemon’s moves are unaffected by the foe’s ability during battle.
Flavor Text :: Fables of olden times often depict warriors riding these majestic, armor-clad beasts into battle. It is said that metals tempered with a Griffoundry’s flame become significantly stronger and much more durable than normal, and were highly sought after for use in weapons and machinery.
Physiology ::
Body Type :: Build :: Quadruped Height :: 8’9” Length :: 9'7" Wingspan :: 9 feet Weight :: 868.5 lbs.
Griffoundries are large, quadrupedal Pokemon that stand above the size of a large draft horse, and are impressive, imposing beasts that one would hardly want to encounter in a dark cave. Upon achieving their final evolution, the thick iron helmet on their heads transitions into a protective mask that covers the majority of their face. Two long, thick, sharp prominent horns jut out above its brow and curve towards the back of the skull, though Griffoundries can have a number of different horn styles from jutting outwards like that of a narwhal to curled around the ears like a ram’s. Much like their pre-evolutions, the horns of a Griffoundry serve a dual purpose as tools and as weapons, capable of hauling thousands of pounds worth of rocks, clearing a tunnel into a mountainside within minutes, and harvesting several tons of metal ore over the course of a day. A pair of smaller, secondary horns are set further back on the metal skull, but serve very little purpose outside of additional head protection during work and battle. The lower jaw, now reinforced by thick metal, is capable of exerting great biting force to crunch up even large boulders with ease and tear apart metal as if it were paper. The thick iron plates along its forelegs have fused together to form ‘greave-like’ protectors for its front legs, and additional armor formations adorn the top of the back legs and around the base of the tail to protect potential weak points and blind spots. A heavy iron brace adorns the neck, connecting to the newly formed plates on the chest as a form of ‘reverse barding’ to mainly protect the underside. However, the addition of the brace makes it virtually impossible for the Griffoundry to move its neck aside from being able to look up and down; therefore they must rely fully on their keen hearing and other senses to detect potential dangers behind them. Much like their predecessors, Griffoundries follow the warrior’s hierarchy based on the number of tail rings one possesses.
Over time, a Griffoundry’s armor changes color due to oxidation through the metal’s constant contact with air, and the armor of very old individuals are said to have a deep reddish hue similar to bronze or burnished copper but show no signs of flaking or breakage like typical rusted iron in a way that mimics weathering steel (specially manufactured steel that is very resistant to corrosion). The flames of a Griffoundry were found to have an unusual reaction when it comes into contact with metal, and when used for tempering it causes the metal to become stronger, more durable, and more resistant to corrosion than if it were manufactured through typical conventional means. They were highly sought after by blacksmiths for this very reason, especially for use in manufacturing weapons and machinery to create tough, long-lasting products. Researchers feel that the chemical properties of Griffoundry’s fire may be linked to why its armor takes much longer to develop rust than typical manufactured iron, or why the rust that forms on the armor of very old individuals does not compromise the armor’s structural integrity.
A Griffoundry’s flight muscles are exceptionally well-developed and toned, as it must be able to fly and sustain flight in spite of being weighed down by hundreds of pounds of heavy armor in addition to other material and any riders. With its sheer height, length, and strength, a Griffoundry can bear four or five riders with relative ease and can conceivably carry up to 10 tons worth of other materials without needing to stop and rest. By rapidly whipping its wings in succession, a Griffoundry can stir up winds with speeds like that of a strong storm, capable of uprooting trees and dealing structural damage to buildings. Much like with Pyraptor, if a Griffoundry is incapacitated or otherwise rendered helpless while in midair, the wings will naturally unfurl and stiffen via powerful ligaments to cause it to descend in a tight corkscrew to mitigate damage taken from falling regardless of the distance. While Pyraptors tend to be relatively high flyers, Griffoundries are more low-cruising, flying at heights well above most mountains but also staying below cloud cover to optimize covering long distances without expending too much energy to maintain flight due to the weight of their armor.
The internal temperature of a Griffoundry reaches far higher than its predecessor, up to a staggering 2,500 degrees Celsius. To rid itself of excess heat, the Griffoundry vents superheated air through its ears, mouth, and nose, though it is more tolerant of more extreme temperatures than its predecessors and does not have to release excess heat on a constant basis. However, trainers are still advised to exercise caution, as severe and possibly fatal burns can arise from coming into contact with these superheated emissions. The maximum internal temperature a Griffoundry can tolerate is up to 3,800 degrees Celsius, hot enough to easily melt a variety of common metallic substances such as copper, nickel, gold, and platinum. These Pokemon were particularly popular as blacksmith’s assistants back in the ancient ages, and even in modern times trained Griffoundries see much use in the mining and metal manufacturing industries, though they aren’t quite as numerous as they used to be. Much like with their previous evolution, the ability to constantly maintain a high internal temperature allows them to maintain a thinner coat year-round. Griffoundries will still periodically shed older feathers and fur to make way for new growth, though only need to do so roughly three times per year.
Behavior :: Griffoundries trade in the vigorous, boundless energy of their previous evolution for a much calmer and more composed demeanor, but still maintain certain behavioral aspects reminiscent of Pyraptor. The drive to seek out strong opponents to battle still remains, but rather than recklessly rush into the fray without a second thought, a Griffoundry will carefully watch chosen individuals of interest and gauge them from afar. If it believes a particular target would be a worthy opponent, the Griffoundry will approach and issue a challenge to combat through vocal cues or taking on a battle stance with horns pointed towards its potential foe. Tail rings are still utilized as a form of hierarchy among fighters and the conduct of the winner entitled to taking one of the loser’s rings is still intact, though Griffoundries do not spar with their own kin quite as often as their predecessors do.
On rare occasions, a particularly headstrong young Pyraptor may attempt to challenge a Griffoundry for a tail ring, and such encounters often end with the elder refusing to acknowledge the challenge or giving the young upstart a good beating to teach them a lesson. Much like Pyraptors, Griffoundries typically loathe fighting against foes that are weaker than them, but in some cases drastic measures must be taken. As they age, Griffoundries tend to be less concerned with seeking out challenges and focus their time and energy primarily on defending their territory and raising families.
Because of their tendency to nest in mountains, territory disputes between Griffoundry and Aggron are hardly uncommon. A Griffoundry will often attempt to drive a residing Aggron away to claim a mountain by challenging it to a bout of fair combat in which the winner will take the mountain as their home and the loser is forced to leave the territory. In some cases, however, Griffoundry and Aggron may be able to cohabit peacefully together in the same mountain. Griffoundry aids the Aggron in patrolling and protecting the mountain from unwanted intruders, as well as transporting soil, seeds, and water to areas damaged by wildfires and landslides to restore their territory. Because a Griffoundry has greater mobility due to flight, some Aggron may view them as valuable allies to help perform tasks quicker as well as bring in resources from far away places.
If a trainer succeeds in raising a member of the Aviron evolutionary line to its final stage, an inextricable bond of friendship and loyalty forms between the trainer and the newly evolved Griffoundry. A trainer who has managed to survive the boundless, wild energy of Pyraptor may find Griffoundry to be a far more pleasant presence. Griffoundries give off what could be described as a ‘knightly, yet wizened’ air, and are extremely loyal to their owners and teammates to a fault. These noble beasts will lay down their own lives to protect what they treasure and love most, even against foes that are far larger and stronger than they are. Females in particular may choose to adopt smaller teammates as their 'babies', acting as a matron, guardian, and maybe even a mentor towards them. Griffoundries still maintain the unshakable bravery and tenacity of Pyraptor, but are far more cautious and much wiser than their predecessors. However, they do value their own independence, though they will follow their trainers to the ends of the world and back.
Griffoundries make excellent companions, guardians, and lifelong friends, but they should also be treated with dignity and respect. They desire to be seen as individuals of their own, not as pets, mounts, or anything less than how they want to be treated. A Griffoundry who feels disrespected may refuse to follow its trainer’s commands, and in spite of their loyalty they can only tolerate so much abuse before they’re pushed over the breaking point. Incurring a Griffoundry’s anger is said to be the equivalent of signing your own epitaph, they are persistent pursuers and can hold a nasty hundred-year grudge. Abuse a Griffoundry’s trust and loyalty, and you’re almost certain to not live to tell the tale afterwards.
Communication :: If taught to speak by their trainers during their previous evolutions, a Griffoundry is capable of speaking and understanding most complex words and phrases and will continue to learn more throughout its lifetime. Unlike the blunt, gruff speech of Pyraptor, a Griffoundry's manner of speech is much smoother, richer, and far more eloquent like that of a knight addressing a noble. Though, like Pyraptor, they tend to prefer communicating through action rather than words, Griffoundries are more than capable of carrying conversations of their own volition and can be notoriously quick-witted and sharp in a debate.
Breeding & Families :: Much like with their pre-evolutions, strength, health, and combat prowess are favorable traits that female Griffoundries look for in males. The tail ring system utilized by Pyraptors also play a key role for Griffoundries as well, as females tend to single out more seasoned males with a larger collection of tail rings and prioritize them as potential mates first. Pyraptors who were unsuccessful with finding a mate are likely to have more luck after achieving evolution into a Griffoundry, having proven their strength and combat prowess to amass a larger collection of tail rings and reaching the final stage of evolution. Like with their previous evolution, the female Griffoundry will initiate the courting ritual when she sets her sights on a male of interest. Unlike Pyraptors, however, the female Griffoundry will first observe her choice male, flying a slow circle around the male of interest as she sharply examines and sizes him up, primarily looking for armor faults and other indicators of poor health or lack of proper self-care. All the while, the male will strike various poses as the female observes him, showing off his armor, muscles, wings, and his collection of tail rings as a means of displaying his strength, confidence, and good health to further entice her to choose him.
If the female Griffoundry decides to hover in closer towards the male after completing at least two or three circles around him, she’s interested in taking him as a potential mate. She will then assume the signature duelist’s pose and engages him in battle. If he can manage to overpower her in fair combat, she deems him worthy, and the pair will lock horns together and circle around a few times close to one another in a kind of aerial waltz to finish their courtship. The two then fly off to find and establish a suitable territory to settle down and raise their family. Pyraptors that formed battling pairs with their mates prior to evolution will seek out and settle in an area they wish to claim as their territorial space upon evolving in Griffoundry, the vigorous blood and drive to seek out challengers now much more subdued.
Like Pyraptor, Griffoundries will not commonly mate outside of their own species, though desperate males or females who were unable to find a mate among their own kind may turn to seeking a potential suitor among other Pokemon. Particularly strong Dragon-types and Flying-types are often sought out by a Griffoundry without a mate during reproduction season, who are evaluated to determine if they are worthwhile candidates or not with a challenge and a one-on-one fight.
Griffoundries will typically raise two to three Avirons on average during breeding season, the male and female will usually alternate with each other to hunt and provide food and tend to the eggs and newborn Avirons. The female Griffoundry in particular is very protective of her offspring, and will not hesitate to attack and drive away anything she perceives as a potential threat. As such, people who frequent climbing mountains, spelunking in caves, and other such activities are advised to exercise caution when these species’ reproduction cycle during the spring is at its peak, lest they accidentally disturb a Griffoundry nest and receive harsh and potentially fatal punishment from a vicious female protecting her young.
If an intruder comes within close range of a nest, Griffoundries will typically make a loud hissing noise similar to that of steam being released when a piece of molten hot metal is plunged into cold water as a warning. Alternatively, they will clack their metallic jaws together in a steady rhythm that gradually increases in tempo as the Griffoundry becomes more agitated and adopts an offensive stance in preparation to strike. If the unwanted guest persists or shows no signs of backing off, the Griffoundry will then lash out with a strong attack as a last resort. Numerous injuries and deaths among humans have been caused as a result of an unintentional intrusion too close to a Griffoundry nest at the height of reproduction season. A saying that traces back to olden times states “From deep in the caves you hear the angry clack. If you value your life, better turn back”. This phrase is used to caution hikers and people passing through caves and mountains to keep an ear out for the telltale sound of an agitated Griffoundry warning them to not get too close to its nest.
Eating Habits :: Where Pyraptors typically hunt within any close area out of convenience due to constantly being on the move, Griffoundries typically have established areas that they regularly frequent for hunts. The average individual will typically have roughly three to four different areas within its established territory or within close range to it that it will hunt on a regular basis, though very few will have more than four save in areas where prey tends to be sparser. A Griffoundry will circle several times around an established hunting range, watching and listening carefully for any disturbances on the ground below that indicates potential prey. Unlike Pyraptors, who typically hunt from heights around where there is cloud cover, Griffoundries are low-flying foragers, preferring to coast at much lower heights and dive in to take prey when they see the right opportunity, often targeting weaker or sick individuals.
Griffoundries are known as ‘harrying’ predators, typically chasing their prey persistently over miles to the point where they either succumb to exhaustion or run out of safe places to flee to. A Griffoundry will fly low at about 60 feet above the ground as it chases down its quarry, utilizing attacks such as Dragon Pulse to harry the prey and force it to go where the Griffoundry wants it to while it gradually descends and closes the distance between them. When it gets close enough, the Griffoundry will take hold of the prey, incapacitate it with a strike from its horns, and carry it off. This hunting method is used primarily in more open areas where there is very little above-ground tree cover like grasslands. In more heavily forested areas, Griffoundries will forage on the ground, typically plucking up anything edible it comes across.
A Griffoundry will tend to favor larger prey above all else, including Sawsbuck, Bouffalant, Gogoat, and aquatic Pokemon like Dewgong, Wailmer, and Sealeo. They will also target slower flying types, primarily Noctowl, Trumbeak, Toucannon, and even Skarmory, which are especially favorite prey items for Griffoundries due to their metallic composition. As a result, Skarmory nests are often prime targets for raids by hungry Griffoundries on the prowl. A single Griffoundry can easily handle a small flock of Skarmory when raiding a nest or a collection of nests. However, especially large mobs can overwhelm them, forcing them to cut their losses and flee. A Griffoundry prefers to avoid excessive fighting where it counts, and will often observe their target from afar for the right opportunity to swoop in, snatch up their quarry, and get out without drawing too much attention to themselves.
Griffoundries also favor Steel-type prey over any other types of prey items, including Lairon, Excadrill, Bronzong, and Bisharp, and like Skarmory will prioritize them over any other potential prey if they are present in an area that a Grffoundry has established as its hunting grounds. Should a Griffoundry find themselves sharing the company of Steel-type allies on their trainer’s team, they will exercise great restraint against going after them out of instinct and need of nourishment. However, they may still cast hungry glances in their general direction every so often...
As with the rest of their evolutionary line, Griffoundries are borderline facultative carnivores/omnivores, and will prioritize red meats and fish above any other kinds of food that are readily available. However, a Griffoundry can metabolize nutrients at a relatively slow rate, making them much more 'fuel efficient' as they don't constantly require large amounts of food to survive. Due to the high percentage of iron naturally within their bodies and their tendency to metabolize iron at a much slower rate, Griffoundries can tolerate at least a few years without a regular supply of iron in their diet, on an average of roughly 4 years. However, very long periods of time without at least some supplement of iron in their diets can lead to armor brittleness and eventual fracture. Anemic symptoms in severely iron-deprived Griffoundries often tend to be far more mild due to their higher tolerance compared to their previous evolutions, but can become worse over time if left untreated.
Habitat :: Unlike their more vigorous, wandering pre-evolution, Griffoundries will establish a more permanent area as their home territory. They tend to favor areas that are rich in iron ore, such as mountains, caves, cliffs, and even abandoned mines. Being relatively solitary beings, Griffoundries will rarely nest close to others of their kind. A particularly large mountain could house up to three Griffoundry families, which are capable of cohabiting peacefully with each other so long as their territories are kept a reasonable distance apart. Once they have established a territory, a Griffoundry will protect its home and family at any cost, and will drive off any unwelcome intruders that could be perceived as a threat. Female Griffoundries in particular can be highly aggressive against any perceived danger towards their offspring, trainers are advised to exercise extreme caution when faced with a mother Griffoundry protecting her young.

*Superheat Surge - The user heats the metal on its body to blistering temperatures and charges the opponent. This is a physical Steel-type move that deals 100 damage and has a 4/10 chance to inflict a burn. This move makes physical contact.
In contests Superheat Surge is a Tough category move that gives the user +6 appeal but makes them more easily startled next round.
Can be encountered in the wild when a character's pokemon has any incense as a held item and participates in a battle (1/25 chance). Battling multiple times in the same area will increase the chance of encounter by 1 per battle, up to a 12/25 chance. If a mysterious incense pot/stick, or sweet incense has been lit, every encounter in the area has a 1/25 chance to attract a wild ryuushu, regardless of whether or not battling pokemon hold an incense. This chance to encounter a wild ryuushu increases by 1 for every consecutive battle in the area up to a 12/25 chance.

Dex Entry:
Ryuushu; The Incense Pokemon
This pokemon emits incense from the burner around its neck. It has been recorded to have a calming effect. Because of this, pokemon and people will often gather wherever it sleeps.
Behavior: Ryuushu is often a very calm and quiet pokemon. They often are found sitting sentinal in shrines, temples, and graveyards, being drawn to the incense being burned there. They often calm restless or grieving visitors with their smell. They are not known to be a territorial species, humans and pokemon alike congregate in it's home. This pokemon show's a great deal of intelligence and a higher plane of thought. Specimens have been observed communicating with humans with whom they have a strong bond with. Despite their friendly and lax nature, Ryuushu seems to only be capable of forming a deep bond with one or two people or pokemon, to these individuals they will be fiercely loyal and protective.
Due to these traits, it is becoming a popular pokemon to use for service and emotional support services.
The fan that acts as this pokemon's tail is an important feature. Ryuushu can use the fan to spread the smell of its incense. It is also used to manifest the smoke billowing from the burner into a large cloud that the pokemon uses it's psychic ability to walk on as a form of flight. Another feature of this pokemon is the bells hanging around the base of this pokemon's tail. They are used in combination with the moving of its tail to further communicate mood and location. Due to the combination of calming incense and the soft chime of bells this pokemon is thought to protect the areas is congregates (temples, shrines, and graveyards) in order to ensure the spirits residing there are afe from vengeful ones. the sound given off by these bells are universal to the species and does not change with instances of it. These are used with combination of the smells to communicate between other Ryuushu.
This fan is also the primary way to tell the pokemon's mood. Alert / Neutral: Fan spread and sticking up at its usual angle Happy: Fan flapping up and gown. Startled: The fan will slap closed! This is also seen as a way to scare off potential threats. Sad, sick or weakened: The fan will remain closed and pointed downward. This is also seen with status conditions like paralysis and poisoning.
This pokemon is usually seen with eyes closed, only opening when using moves of the psychic typing or when passively using its psychic abilities.
Misc Physiology This pokemon's body is a mix of fluffy fur and scales. Shiny dragons scales are on its legs up to the shoulder joints and it's underbelly, as well as protective scales on the back of his ears. Ryuushu have a very keen sense of smell, and the whiskers on the end of its snout are used to sense aura's and the mood of surrounding creatures.
Diet:
This pokemon is fueled by the incense in the burner around its neck. It will seek out insense and relocate it to its burner. The act of burning incense is similar to the act of 'digesting' in humans and the smoke is a wasteful byproduct of this process. This means it often will steal otherwise take sticks or diffusers to use as food, however, those in less urban areas have been observed to collect herbs and berries to burn for a similar effect. However, the energy gained from this form of eating is lower, resulting in this pokemon being in a state of 'digestion' nearly twenty hours a day.
Due to this unique way of eating, trainers can customize the smell this pokemon gives off simply by supplying it with the preferred insense.
Each instance of this pokemon has slightly different scents from their burners. These changes are really only noticeable by those with a keen sense of smell and often used by Ryuushu to indicate mood and status to other passing Ryuushu.
They can also have a preference for the type of items burned in the burner. Some Ryuushu may like sweet-smelling things the best, while others may not, though it is very rare they will reject anything and are not known to be picky. Occasionally, the cloud emitted by this pokemon will change in color depending on what it is 'fed'
Breeding Information:
Egg group(s): Undiscovered Gender Ratio: 100 percent Male
This pokemon has never been observed with an interest to breed, nor has an egg specimen of this pokemon been found. The origins of new instances of this pokemon are currently unknown. However, the current theory speculates the pokemon is formed entirely from the smoke of its burner. Meaning new instances probably manifest over time.

Pokedex Information:
Dex Entry:
Terrariderm; The Terrarium Pokemon
Terrariderms are very artistic and love to decorate their inner terrariums with small plants that are local to their habitat. Because of this, each Terrariderm is a little bit unique.
They regulate the temperature of the water inside them by blowing steam out of their trunks. The water inside can be hot or cold depending on what is best suited to grow the plants inside them.
Terrariderms are about the size of a small fishbowl and their stomachs are made of thick, clear, glass-like material with an opening in the tops. Each side is adorned with porcelain elephant features, such as a tail-like handle on one end and a head with ear flaps, trunk, and tusks on the other. They do have small nub-like feet at the bottom of their fishbowl bodies, but they are limited in their mobility, forcing Terrariderms to precariously waddle side to side to get around or use the steam they expel from their trunks to help them float for a short period of time.
The interiors of Terrariderms are the most interesting part about them, because they display little gardens of various plants, fungi, and herbs in their budding stages. Each terrarium is a little different, since Terrariderms use the plants that are indigenous to their habitat, and because Terrariderms are so widespread and varied in habitat, this makes for some very unique terrariums depending on where the Terrariderm is found. However, most terrariums are layered similarly in that the soil is packed down at the bottom of the bowl, then topped with rocks and small stones to keep the soil from getting loose and mixing with the water, then plants are added with their roots safely buried in the soil while the leaves poke through the top. Then, water fills the upper half of the bowl.
Regardless of their habitat, Terrariderms are well known for their tea brewing abilities. The flora within their terrarium steep with the water they keep inside and the resulting mixture makes for very fine tea blends. However, there is something ethereal and magical about how quickly they are able to create delicious tea blends in their terrariums, such that when others attempt to replicate the process in regular terrariums, the mixture never comes out quite right. No one is sure what the secret is. There was once concern regarding taking a Terrariderm's water away from it and drinking it as tea, because there was a possibility of this harming the Terrariderm or dehydrating it. However, Terrariderms actually greatly enjoy sharing their tea with acquaintances and friends. Not only does their tea have calming and healing properties on those who partake, but this serves as a way for Terrariderms to recycle their used, "dirty" water for clean, fresh water to help the plants inside their terrariums stay healthy and nourished. Therefore, it is actually healthy for the Terrariderm to pour out cups of its tea and share it so that it can go refresh the water within it
In spite of looking fragile, their glass and porcelain-like features are actually quite tough and durable, which serves as a protective shell for the plants it keeps within. Occasionally this glass-like armor will get chipped or cracked, but it heals over time as Terrariderms grow bigger to suit the needs of its plants. Rare variants of Terrariderms are a peculiar shade of sky blue instead of their typical creamy white color. These Terrariderms are extremely rare and highly sought after due to the rumor that their tea is an even more potent cure-all than the average Terrariderm's due to being blessed by Arceus itself.
Habitat:
Terrariderms are surprisingly adaptable to just about any environment, and their terrariums will always reflect their habitats. Terrariderms who live in dense forests will have terrariums with small mushrooms, moss, twigs, leaves, and thick grass, where as Terrariderms who live in the desert will have terrariums filled with sand, small pebbles, and small cacti. Terrariderms can even be found living underwater, with their terrariums that boast of kelp farms, coral, and sea sponges.
In spite of their adaptability, once a Terrariderm has chosen a habitat, it will typically stay in that environment for the rest of its life to properly support the plants that it's growing. Because of this, taking a Terrariderm out of its natural habitat is dangerous to its health if you are not able to take proper care of it and its plants. For people and trainers who want to raise a Terrariderm, it is recommended that they hatch a Terrariderm or catch one that has not yet started to adapt its terrarium to the environment yet, and then help equip it with plants that are more forgiving in all environments so that it is best suited for travel.
Behavior:
Terrariderms are naturally friendly and peaceful creatures that try to live in harmony with their environments. Wherever it goes, it does its best to "blend in" both with its terrarium and with the pokemon around it. They are in turn, typically well received guests of their homes due to their environmentally friendly disposition, given that Terrariderms both care for plants from their homes and also help promote plant growth in the area by populating their habitats with more plants. Additionally, Terrariderms are natural healers, magically infusing their waters with healing properties that both promote plant growth in their terrariums and heal those that drink its tea. It allows other pokemon to drink their tea to help cure them of battle wounds and other status afflictions.
That's not to say that these small elephants don't have a little bit of a mischievous side. Their pixie blood makes them little pranksters who will sometimes playfully spray pokemon with water or toot their trunk trumpets and stomp around like an imposing pokemon to fool others. Their teasing nature is all mostly harmless and done only with the best of intentions. Usually they will smooth things over afterwards by offering a friendly teatime to laugh about their misadventures.
Teatimes are usually their response when faced with any sort of adversity due to their tea's natural calming properties, and Terrariderms very rarely get angry or upset themselves. They are fairly easygoing creatures who are the first to forgive and forget any slight done to them in the hopes of keeping the peace.
Terrariderms do, however, have a particular rivalry with Sinistea and Potlegeist, both in their tea brewing abilities and the fact that Sinistea takes the life force of those who drink its tea, whereas Terrariderms give its life force to others to help heal them. They are natural opposites in this regard.
Diet:
Due to the symbiotic relationship between Terrariderms and their terrariums, Terrariderms do not need to eat like normal pokemon. Most of their nutrients comes from the plants inside of it and the energy they produce during photosynthesis.
Terrariderms do, however, get thirsty when the water in their terrarium is running low. When this happens, they will travel to the nearest clean body of water and scoop up water in their trunks, then deposit it inside their bowl-like bodies.
Breeding Information:
Egg group: Undiscovered Gender Ratio: 1:1
Terrariderm can't breed because their species breed by a sort of cross-pollination method that Terrariderm cannot mimic because the plants they grow are just sprouts that can't pollinate.
When a Terrariderm is first hatched from an egg, their terrariums are actually completely empty, so shortly after the parent Pachyflora help it find plants and soil to fill it with so that it can start to feed off of the energy of the plants.
Evolution:
If a Terrariderm is holding a seed item (Psychic, Misty, Grassy, or Electric) and it is activated by a terrain and consumed, Terrariderm will evolve into Pachyflora. Its type varies depending on the seed consumed.
Electric Seed Form: Ability 1: Electric Surge Ability 2: Clear Body Hidden: Terraform*
*Custom Ability: Terraform - Extends the effects of all terrain moves to 8 rounds instead of 5. Boosts power of Psychic, Grass, and Electric moves used in their respective terrains by x1.5 instead of x1.3, and Fairy type moves used in fairy terrain are boosted by x1.3. These effects remain active even after the pokemon is switched or knocked out.

Dex Entry:
Pachyflora; The Terrarium Pokemon
Sometimes the trees that Pachyflora plant in their terrariums get too big to sustain. When this happens, they carefully uproot the trees and plant them in a safe place elsewhere and start growing another plant inside of them in its place.
It is said that Pachyflora are probably the cause for the random berry trees sometimes found around the world.
Pachyflora grow to such an enormous size out of necessity to support the growing ecosystem inside of it. Each Pachyflora has a variety of large plants and decorations within its bowl that they are practically walking pieces of landscape art. Each variant of Pachyflora has distinct preferences as far as what sorts of flora are within its terrarium. Psychic seed Pachyflora have more tropical and exotic plants that would normally be found in dense rainforests. Misty seed Pachyflora have a collection of fungus, mushrooms, pretty shells, and stones of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Grassy seed Pachyflora have lush greenery, trees, crops, and flowers, whereas electric seed Pachyflora seem to be drawn towards more arid desert landscapes, filling their terrariums with sand and various breeds of cacti, as well as stones that emit an electric aura.
While the terrariums vary greatly, all Pachyflora have similar porcelain elephant features outside their terrariums. They have glossy stone-like ivory skin with colorful floral patterns on their ears, trunk, and face. Their legs are now long enough to move around more smoothly, taking long powerful strides wherever it walks. Pachyflora also have long beautiful ivory tusks, but some can be found missing theirs due to pokemon poachers cutting them off.
Rare variants of Pachyflora have a beautiful sky blue color to their porcelain skin instead of the typical creamy white color. It is said that these special blue Pachyflora are blessed with great spiritual power by Arceus, and thus these pokemon are worshiped in certain religious circles as divine beings.
Habitat:
Now that it has evolved, Pachyflora are large enough to sustain their own biome within their terrarium and have the ability to roam around the world for short periods of time. If they find an environment that they prefer over their original habitat, they start to slowly replace the plant life in their terrarium with the new ones so that they can continue to live in their new home. Otherwise, they will migrate back to their old habitat.
Because of their adaptable natures, Pachyflora can be found almost anywhere, though certain variants have their preferred habitats. Psychic Seed Pachyflora tend to prefer living in forests that are a little more muggy and humid, such as rainforests. Misty Seed Pachyflora will remain in areas with a magical and mysterious aura about them, such as the forests of Glimwood Tangle or strange mushroom covered swamplands near Laverre City, or the flower fields around Alola. Grassy Seed Pachyflora prefer habitats near large lakes and springs where nature is abundant and lush, and Electric Seed Pachyflora love being in arid deserts and the tall grass near power plants such as Mauvile City, or near the Chargestone caves of Unova.
Behavior:
Pachyflora are naturally pacifistic creatures, who care about their natural environment and all the pokemon within it. However that does not mean they are weak. They are large and intimidating creatures up close who are slow to anger but unafraid to make a show of their massive strength to scare off would-be predators and troublemakers with a flash of their tusks or a stomp of one of their massive trunk-like feet. They will make trumpeting noises using their trunks to communicate, as well as body language such as wiggling their ears and pawing the ground. They are often seen as guardians of sorts for their chosen habitats because they enforce peace among all the pokemon there with their wisdom and strong will. Roving in family herds, Pachyflora often spend their days circling around their habitats of choice and making sure all is well.
One of the most unique behaviors of Pachyflora is that they will let smaller pokemon live inside their terrarium. For instance, an electric seed Pachyflora might house some cacnea or Alolan geodude, where as a grassy seed Pachyflora will allow various bird pokemon to live in its trees, and small fish pokemon to swim in its waters. They will often house pokemon that they wish to protect, and in return those pokemon help maintain the terrarium by defending it and taking care of the plants there. Allowing a pokemon to co-habitate it is a sign of great trust from a Pachyflora.
Pachyflora are better suited for trainers on the go than their previous evolutions because they have the ability to maintain their preferred terrariums alongside some occasional help from their trainer. Housebroken Pachyflora raised from Terrariderms tend to view their trainers and teammates as part of their herd, and will often let smaller pokemon ride and live in their terrariums if they like their company, and in fact there have been hilarious cases of Pachyderms taking a liking to an ally pokemon who doesn't like or want to live within the protective dome of their Pachyflora's terrarium, but Pachyflora are stubbornly paternal/maternal and view teammates and trainers like their own children, and will often instinctively stick them in their terrariums for protection when traveling around, regardless of whether they are willing or not.
Diet:
Pachyflora are much larger than their previous evolutions, and therefore need more to sustain them. With their larger bowl size, they can plant more in their terrariums, and tend to plant things that they can also eat, such as mushrooms, crops, nutrient dense plants, and berry trees.
Breeding Information:
Egg group: Grass and Field groups Gender Ratio: 1:1
Pachyflora will often offer plants to each other as a courtship ritual. This is not gender specific, but rather there will be an interested Pachyflora who will initiate by offering one of its plants to the Pachyflora it is interested in. If the receiving Pachyflora accepts the plant, they will add it to their garden and offer one of their plants in return. This has a sort of cross-pollination effect that will result in the female producing an egg within their Terrarium shortly after.
Note that this courtship ritual is different than Pachyflora simply finding plants and offering them to people and pokemon. Starting courtship requires taking a plant grown from the Pachyflora's own terrarium and having it planted in the partner Pachyflora.
Evolution:
Pachyflora does not evolve. Additionally, due to the nature of it's evolution, it cannot de-evolve using an everstone either.
This small pooch is always ready for a fight, no matter the size of its opponent.
In the wild, a lone Zapom can easily mug a human of their food. However, they will quickly be tamed if offered food first.
Physiology:
Body Type: Stance: Quadraped Height: 10 inches Length: 9 inches (not including tail) Weight: 8lbs
Zapom are small, ankle-targetting dogs that are extra fluffy. Their tails are oddly shaped - sort of like a bolt of lightning, yet also curved on one side to curl onto their back. Pointy little ears poke out from their fur, and they have a short snout. It is not uncommon to find an overweight Zapom, but their natural body type is small and short.
These pups exhibit sexual dimorphism. Males are normally a bright yellow with black stripes, while the females have a softer, paler yellow and an additional black stripe on their hindquarters. On rare occasions, a male might be found with it's colors reversed - all black with yellow stripes. And rarely a female might be found to be all white with black stripes.
Habitat:
Found basically anywhere that is inhabited by humans. Zapoms are accustomed to living out on the streets in the wild, but will live in the homes of people that feed them. While they could very well hunt, they have had a taste of the human foods, and desire that more.
Behavior:
Zapom are normally quite feisty despite their size. They will especially exhibit aggressive behavior if they are hungry and fighting something else for food. Even tamed, they can be quite a bratty creature, wanting everything to go the way it wants it. When they have a strong connection to a human, they can be fiercely protective. However, it is unclear if they are capable of loyalty, as they are easily swayed by food.
When angry, their fur puffs up to make them look bigger, and they bark incessantly. While trainable out of bad behaviors with food, they do have a tendency to go after pantlegs, shoelaces and ankles. It has been observed that they can get small articles of clothing stuck on their staticy fur, which can occasionally scare them and cause them to zoom about the house. When they are zooming, they are difficult to catch until they tire themselves out.
Diet:
While proteins are important to their diet, Zapom will eat all sorts of things, especially fried foods that humans eat. They do tend to not like vegetables that much, often spitting them out and looking offended and disappointed about it. Junk food is not good for them, but that does not stop them from wanting it. It is recommended to make sure that if you are an owner of a Zapom, that you make sure they get plenty of exercise to make up for any of the unhealthier foods they might have eaten.

A well trained Stormoyed makes an excellent service dog with its boundless energy and eagerness to work. The trick to training them is plenty of praise.
When in a pouty mood, Stormoyed sit with their back to you, ignoring your commands until they get their way. They are more receptive to praise than food.
Physiology:
Body Type: Stance: quadraped Height: 2 ft. 6 in. at shoulder (male) Length: about 4 feet long, including a bit of tail (male) Weight: 110lbs
Stormoyeds are fluffy quadraped canines. Their fur is longer and stance taller. Females are only a few inches smaller than males usually. Males are typically bright yellow with black stripes, paws and belly, but rarely can be found with their colors reversed; all black with yellow stripes, paws and belly. Females are usually a pale yellow with black stripes, paws and belly with an extra stripe on the hindquarters; rarely, females are found that are all white with the same black patterns. They have a strong, wedge-like tail which can be a hazard sometimes, though it usually stays curled over their back.
While quadraped, they can still use their tail to hit devastatingly hard, as well as deliver some kicks. They also have a formidable bite.
Habitat:
Even evolved, Stormoyeds still prefer living in human inhabited areas. A much more friendly dog than its previous evolution, it enjoys company much more, though food is a nice bonus. They are not as common on the streets, since usually they would have found their homes and owners by now. For ones without owners, they tend to be found lurking about dojos, gyms and temples. A wild Stormoyed will often take it upon itself to guard certain areas from mal-intent, or sometimes simply, to warn off other pokemon from their territory.
Behavior:
Stormoyeds, while a lot more friendly, tend to be a lot more needy. They are eager to be used for work, and want to be active. When in a home, they alarm bark to alert their owner. However, when left alone for long periods of time, they can become nuisance barkers as they become restless. They long for physical attention - even wild Stormoyeds exhibit this behavior. They respond very well to praise and affection, more than food. They tend to love children and are very energetic. Stormoyeds may try to herd other pokemon and sometimes small children. As they are highly sociable, it is very rare to come across one that is vicious, as it has become a learned behavior that when they are good, they are given delicious snacks and praise. They strive to be their goodest, and when put to work, will work hard and for as long as needed. Untrained Stormoyeds are quite independant, doing whatever they would like rather than what they are told to do.
Diet:
A protein rich diet is the base necessity of this dog, though it certainly likes delicious fatty meats. They will often hunt down smaller rodent pokemon. They still like any human foods they can sneak or be fed, however. Owners should beware to not make it a habit of feeding table scraps, or they might have issues with keeping food on the table at some point.
Breeding Information:
Egg group: Field Gender Ratio: 50/50
Stormoyed Females like a strong male that can provide. She will usually choose to be with the male that brings her the most food, however. Stormoyeds are not mates for life; These things can be fickle.

When on guard duty, Mastibolt will bark at invaders so loudly that it can be mistaken for a thunderclap.
Mastibolt will take to laying and sometimes even sitting on their owners to protect them. Luckily, they have plenty of fluff to act as a cushion.
Physiology:
Body Type: Stance: Quadraped Height: 5 ft. 8 in. at shoulder (male) Length: 7 ft. 10 in. including tail (male) Weight: 350lbs
Massive, fluffy canines that have fur that obscures their vision a bit. Pointed ears poke out at the top of the head. They have a very muscular body tone and extra fluff around the neck and chest. Their tails have grown less jagged and more like a curved blade, as well as being really powerful. Males are bigger than females, and in Mastibolts, this is more noticeable. Females tend to be about a foot shorter than males, sometimes giving them a more nimble body. Males are usually bright yellow with black stripes, paws and underbelly- though rarely males can be seen with the colors reversed to be mostly black with yellow accents. Females are usually seen with a pale yellow color with black stripes, paws and belly; rarely females will be pure white with black accents. Their giant paws are exceptionally good when kicking and digging, and their jaws are frighteningly powerful.
Habitat:
Wild Mastibolts are rarely ever seen, but will inhabit areas of great importance to humans. Tamed Mastibolts can often be found walking their human owners or guarding homes. They will also guard temples, dojos and gyms, or wherever they have taken up residence.
Behavior:
Despite their massive size, Mastibolt tend to be rather mellow temperament when there is no threat. There is almost nothing they enjoy more than guarding something they have assumed they are in charge of, including their human. They are fiercely loyal, especially to their owner. It will take them a bit of investigating before they will trust strangers around their charge. They approach new people with caution, but when they determine they are okay, they might want to play. They often use their size to intimidate as they feel the need, but are otherwise not violent. Mastibolt tend to act like they are in charge, often taking charge of things. Sometimes they will decide to protect something that they have assumed control over. This can make playing fetch difficult at times.
Diet:
A lot of food, particularly high in proteins and the good fats. Because of their sheer size, they must eat a lot to keep their energy up. Mastibolt owners that are unprepared often struggle to keep them well fed. These dogs are excellent hunters, however. It is said they can even overwhelm Ursaring, Pangoro and Bewear in the woods. They do still have a preference for human food though, and will get into the trash. If they have not been trained not to beg for table scraps, a Mastibolt will simply just take food right from the table, even right from your own hands. A well trained Mastibolt will only eat when it is given food. Wild Mastibolts that take residence at places such as temples will hunt and eat invading pokemon and any offerings that might be made to them for their guarding services. They do enjoy a good cronch on a bone every now and then.
Breeding Information:
Egg group: Field Gender Ratio: 50/50
Mastibolts mate for life. Gone are the days of dogging around. Once a female picks her male, they will remain a pair for the rest of their lives, committing to protecting each other and the family they create. Females will usually choose a male that provides as well as guards very well.
