Caleb, his phone in hand watched Thomas point to the door on the side of the room…and clearly that was the best choice possible. The only choice possible. There was no way in hell he was going towards the creepy looking boiler…there was no telling what could be back there, and he really did not want to be…boiled. Even though, rationality told him he was being absolutely stupid with that though. But…he couldn’t help it. This friendly hospital tour was turning into some sick and twisted horror movie and Caleb quite detested horror movies.
He glanced around and saw some elevators but that was a big no as well. It was always posted that in case of emergency, take the stairs. He was not about to be trapped in an elevator with who knows what. Besides. Thomas had pointed out the side door, and even though he clearly didn’t know much of what was going on…he was the tour guide here so…his opinion had to count for something.

Gweneth Malley - side door (Broken IV Pole) Welp, she would be damned if she was going to just stand around and wait for things to start coming after them. With her weapon in hand, Gwen scanned the boiler room, her eyes alighting on a door. Perfect. That had to lead to somewhere useful, right? After all, she was not going anywhere near an elevator when the power was being tampered with.
And Thomas just proved her thoughts about the doors. Perfect.
With her broken IV pole in her hand she walked over to the door with all intentions of forcing it open if need be. After all, there were enough of them there. Surely they’d be able to kick the damn door down.

A phone didn't feel like much of a weapon, but honestly.... she'd keep what she had and pray for the best later. The options were simple- an elevator, which... it was like stairs in a horror movie. A nice little side door, which would be an option, she supposed.
And the creepy a** boilers, that could quite easily be hiding piles of youma.
Jada wasn't the self-sacrificing sort, but maybe if she could get around the boilers she would be able to hide, maybe find a way to power up? And if youma did start pouring out of them, she'd be in a position to maybe get the upper hand on trying to stop them.

Clutching the phone with broken cord closer to her Rayna was almost tempted to continue investigating the boilers. Even knowing that the buttons on the elevator were lit Rayna had a feeling that getting into a small, enclosed room was never a good idea, especially in something that was closely beginning to resemble a horror movie. Moving slowly in a pattern to try and avoid bumping into anyone Rayna squinted before catching sight of the side door. It would make sense to go that way instead of staying put which would certainly not be an option. The elevator in her mind was a bad idea and so Rayna decided on the side door.
It seemed as though some others had decided to check out the door as well. Spotting two other forms near the door Rayna grimaced. "I don't think this was mentioned in the tour. Wanna team up? Safety in numbers?"
It did not help that the boiler room was incredibly unpleasant. Julian had no desire to stay in this vile place a second longer than necessary, but it wasn't as though he could just waltz out of the building. There were too many people and too much happening, and he was beginning to get a headache forming between his eyes that was making it difficult to concentrate properly.
Julian bumped against the wall, stretched out a hand, and jabbed at a few of the elevator buttons - or at least, in the direction of where he'd thought they would be.
Austen was still jabbing at the wall with her pole, but to no avail. She felt her way around the place, trying to see if there was anything she could see, hopping up and down without any real grace, but with all of the enthusiasm of someone who was far too cheerful when death and destruction and murder and mayhem was possibly on the line.
"Door, door, door," she muttered absently to herself, and reached out a hand, tugging at a handle in an attempt at seeing if it would open.
He had honestly gone because they didn't have a pet policy and he couldn't resist a look around the new hospital. The fact that they counted him as a member of the tour group both amused and pleased Hania enough that he could ignore the fidgety intern that was leading them around, at least until they ended up in the boiler room. Of course during the start of the trip he had to play a few tricks on Kailey who was also in the group, brushing against her in the elevator and such.
When the lights went out and the voice of the Negaverse General came over the intercom the fur along his back went up and he moved closer to his friend. "It's me." He said, hoping no one else would notice him talking. When he went to grab a weapon he ended up having to ask Kailey to carry it for him since it was large. That done he moved to check out the side door to see if it would open.

Rhiannon Beaumont - Option one
Looking around for a way to get out was the best thing she could think of at the moment. If all else failed she could always power up and use her magic, but she didn’t want to risk that just yet.
She decided to check behind the boilers, because most of the others seemed to be looking in the other locations, which was fine. She was only there because a classmate suggested it, especially since seeing how a real hospital worked would be a good experience for a veterinary hospital.
Thankfully she didn’t see anyone she knew there, which meant her family should be safe. She knew her auntie and Paris wouldn’t be there, at least.

Kailey O'Carroll {Broken Wheelchair Fragment + Oxygen Tank} Side Door
"Why do we live in this city again?" Again her words were soft, so only Hani could hear, but she sighed, picking up the... freaking oxygen tank? "....sure, I can do this," she laughed, hoisting the broken wheelchair piece up as she followed Hania towards the side doors to check it out.
Had to be a way out of here one way or another right?
You decide why not and investigate the rusty, creepy looking boilers. Your curiosity pays off, however, as you soon manage to find a secret door hidden behind two of the larger metal containers. Way to go, you!
Option Two:
You step inside the elevator, pressing the button that will take you back to the main floor. The doors slide shut, and you feel your heart swell with hope. That's when the lights go completely out.
You're trapped in the darkness with nothing but the sound of your own panicked breathing. Something gently starts to caress your hair, and you can feel the faint sensation of claws tickling against your scalp.
"I'll never let you go." A raspy voice murmurs against your ear, and just when you're about to lose it, the doors slide open once more. A quick look behind and above you reveal nothing but the empty elevator. Your skin crawls, and you hurriedly step back into the boiler room.
Option Three:
You walk up to the side door and try the handle. The moment you twist the knob, a shrill, feminine scream fills the air and you find yourself stumbling back, the sound nearly giving you a heart attack. As you glance around, though, it appears no one else has heard the alarming scream.
Testing the handle again, the scream is even louder and more anguished, the painful sound physically hurting your ears. You release the knob and receive a stinging ringing in your ear for the next turn.
Eureka! The side door is clearly locked but some of you have managed to find a secret passage way behind the boiler room.
Wasting no time, Thomas and your tour group slide into the tight hallway of the mysterious side door. It looks about as cramped and damp as a creepy basement hallway would be, but you try to stay positive and ignore just how dark and creepy it is.
There are two doors up ahead, one to the front and one to the left.
Do you...
Option One
You head for the doorway in front.
Option Two
You head for the doorway to your left.
Option Three
You linger behind.

Gweneth Malley - You head for the doorway to your left. (Broken IV Pole) When Gwen reached the door she didn’t hesitate to grab hold of the handle. A loud feminine screeched filled her senses and she jumped back in surprise, her ears ringing slightly. Glancing around she noted that no one else seemed to have reacted to the door. No one besides the people who tried to grab it after her.
Taking a risk she reached forward for the handle and once again that feminine screech filled her hearing. This time there was a slightly ache after she let go of the handle. “Damn.” She cursed a hand going to her ears.
Thankfully she heard someone shout about another door which seemed to be open. That was a blessing considering this door wasn’t going to let them through.
Following the group through the once hidden door, Gwen noted that most people were heading straight for the door in front of them. Deciding to check all their options she moved to go through the door to the left. She hesitated a moment when she went to touch the knob but found no repercussions from touching it this time round. Thank god. Her ears were still ringing.
The secret passage was not what she was expecting, honestly. Gripping her phone securely as they moved into the new passage, Jada's lips pursed with displeasure at the options. A doorway in front. A door on the left... or this room, potentially still with its youma-filled boilers.
She lingered; at least if something happened, she would be able to say that she had tried to cover the retreat. And if something came from the front, she'd be safer back here, until the pincer began to- well.... pince.

Rayna - Left Door
Okay, that had hurt.
Now that the unpleasantness was over with Rayna pushed away from the side door and followed the rest of the group with her ears ringing. It had been perhaps wiser to have investigated the boiler room and maybe she would have found the secret passage. Rayna definitely was going to have to focus with her other senses for the meanwhile. Wincing as she exited the boiler room behind the rest of Thomas's tour group Rayna glanced to the two doors that seemed to be the option to progress further and she was quite interested in both doors but chose the door that was on the left side.
Trying the side door had been a mistake as Hania had learned after ending up with a ringing in hie ears. Said ears were flat against his skull for the time being as he followed the group. When they got to the two doors he looked between the two then chose the one on the left, trying to keep in Kailey's sight.

Jordan Riley - Scalpel, 1d6 damage Jordan just kind of kept on making a noise, in their head; it was one long, breathless profanity. That was the glory of purely mental speech; it needed to adhere to no rules of speech, no rules of breath. They stood back and let others flounder at the boilers, at the elevator, at the side door; one after another they all stumbled back.
Jordan didn't, of course, because Jordan was Competent and wasn't going to go around touching things in someone else's hospital right off. But that was them.
They lingered behind again, still wary, unwilling to touch or interact.

On the other side of the boilers seemed to be a secret passage, which was great because they needed to get out. There was a creepy hallway and it was gross and damp and Rhiannon felt entirely out of place without her magic.
People were probably smart in not going straight ahead, but she did. If they could at least find which ways were dead ends, they’d be able to figure out a way out faster. Hopefully.
She just needed to keep reminding herself that if she really needed to, she could always slip into the shadows and power up.
