When Blake arrived, the two shared a mutual nod of acknowledgement, smiling his way as he stood beside one of their banners and commented on their progress. “We made it possible,” she replied. Once upon a time, a few heroes met one afternoon and decided they would protect their home, together. Now the tower was their headquarters, a symbol of their achievements.

Afterwards, Jon remarked on Legacy, and it was understandable why he didn’t know of them. There were only a few occasions when they worked alongside the main group, often handling smaller-scale situations, though everything counted in the bigger picture. “It’s not an easy life, but there was no dissuading them. I played hero way before I wore the costume myself, and I think it’s better they have each other to rely on.” It seldom sounded great to send them—whom were either teenagers or fresh adults—into the life of a superhero, but they had guidance and teammates, people who could be their every step of the way and show them the path.

Halo

She couldn't help but chuckle as Erick struggled for words and guilt and regret flared up at the sight of her. She didn’t hold any ill will towards him, at least not anymore. After some time and some distance, she had come to accept he’d merely been trying to protect her, though neither of them had handled the situation well. "I suppose we'll find out." Halo responded in a teasing manner, not quite willing to let him totally off the hook so easily. "I must say, I never thought I would see the day you would join the Hero Society." Not after how he had argued with her about the SIA anyway. The Hero Society was relatively new given the sudden crop of villains popping up all over the city. "I could say the same thing about you. Definitely approve of the suit. But the last few months have been rather stressful at the SIA actually. I suppose you heard all about that?" She admitted. After the incident with the transport vehicles and the discovery of the double agent they had all faced a certain level of scrutiny. Scrutiny that had been especially stressful given the kinds of activities Cyrus had been dragging her into of late. “You better be sharing.” She commented when she spied the flask. If only she that thought to bring her own, though she had yet to get herself a drink at the party anyway.

Charlie smirked at her getting a girlfriend comment hoping to hide his sudden awkward feeling. He was actually considering asking her if she wanted to go to a movie. Now that Money was not a concern as much he had some money to take her with. He had mentioned to his dad that he was wanting to take a girl out and his dad was oddly perky and giving for the date budget. Now he just needed a good time to ask. Mabye he catully go to that year end pep rally to ask her? If he couldnt here.

Zach shrugged. "Well we will have the full team for the end of year pep rally." He said before taking a bite from the salmon. He would have to get the recipe for this one. Olympia always fed them good and it had gotten Zach interested in cooking. Heck maybe he could do that for college.

“You’re right! We have one last cheer to go.” At least the cheer squad would be complete again. There were a few afterschool cheer practices to attend, but that wasn’t anything new. Her mind jumped to something else, though. “Say, have either of you guys heard if the others are on their way?” She assumed they would be, since there was a surprise waiting for them. When she looked over at the others, however, she realized she needed to be more sociable. It was a gathering, after all; she might not have gotten another chance to meet everyone so casually. “I’ll go say hello to everyone else until then. I’ll be around if you need me.” It seemed that left her friend’s chance to ask for another time, though now he would have to either wait for a smoother situation to speak to her or just get bold.

As for the spunky teenager, she was going to take the chance to get some autographs. It wasn’t wrong to be a fan of other heroes. Her first prospect was Gabe, reaching into her purse to grab her autograph book and a pen. “I recognize that hair anywhere. You’re Evergreen, yeah? Can I have your autograph?” she asked politely, offering both the book (with a clear page open) and pen to him. She hoped she didn’t mistake him for someone else. There wasn’t much to go off of other than hair. Fortunately, she was really good at memorizing hairstyles.

Gabe had more been idling around after he grabbed a drink when he heard one of the teens approch him. It sounded like Margot, or Ricochet as they were also using aliases from the voice. Thanks to the floral decorations Olympia had in nearly every room for his benefit, he easy could tell she was wanting an autogragh before she asked. "You deduced correctly, and certainly all on a page?" He said looking toward her with a smile. It was admittedly a ego boost to be asked for an autograph, and that wasnt necessarily a bad thing. He grabbed the book and singed how ever Margot prefered. He signed with his alias. For not seeing it was actually rather nice script; slightly swishy, smooth, and a little close but not too close. He was use to signing from work so he had plenty of practice. "Having fun your team? Seems like we still got some stragglers needing to arrive." He asked passing the book back and resting his hands on the can he keep with him in case of no plant areas.

“Yeah, definitely, this page is all yours,” she replied, watching excitedly as he signed it. It just so happened that the autograph book was small, but had many pages; a single name occupying each side of a page was sufficient. “Thank you!” she said politely as he passed it back. She slipped the pen into her pocket, but held the book in her left hand. She would use it for her scrapbooking when she got home. Margot envisioned a book full of photos she took with the team, some newspaper articles about them, something to remember everyone by. Maybe she would show everyone one day—when it was finished, of course.

“Having fun your team? Seems like we still got some stragglers needing to arrive.”

“I did my own thing for a while, but it’s nice to know people have your back.” It definitely made her feel safer. Ms. Isley was always there for her, but she didn’t want to have Olympia babysitting her every time she felt unsafe during a mission.

Charlie went and grabbed a plate for himself before returning to chat with Zach. The conversation was unheard but Charlie could be seen awkwardly saying something to Zach that made him smirk then buddy punch Charlie in the arm. The conversation looked to more be discussing a plan of action of some kind mainly being orchestrated by Zach. Charlie was nodding like he was getting told his part of the plan. It did seem like Charlie would indeed be going to that pep rally.

Only a few short months ago, Thomas was sitting in his room studying up on supers and their wondrous abilities, their fame, and their effect on the world overall. He was a fanatic and extremely devoted to understanding the life of a hero. Skip ahead to present day and he was doing exactly that, given the chance to mingle with some of Chicago's best. In attendance were some heroes he had seen in person, but never was he ever courageous enough to approach them to spark up a conversation. Now apart of his own team, he had a strong boost in confidence, even more so than when he found out he had powers. He felt as though he was really moving up and enjoyed most if not all of what came with it.

He tried to dress appropriate but didn't want to overdo. To the event, he wore an dark blue vest with a black undershirt and dark blue jeans. Thomas wasn't much for dressing up, even going halfway. He was significantly more comfortable in his regular attire, that of a hoodie and a t-shirt with the jeans accompanying them. Upon arriving, his first instincts were to scan the crowd and search for those he knew would be the easiest of those in the room to start a conversation with. No Isabella, not even Roman? Okay.. Aside from their first impromptu mission as a team not too long ago, his encounters with the two of them were spaced out significantly, sometimes they didn't speak one on one for weeks but would see each other whenever Legacy met. He had positive vibes about Isabella but after awhile he merely shrugged it off and tried not to think about it. "Get real", he'd tell himself.

Walking into the fold, Thomas waved to his fellow Legacy members before he approached them further. "Hey, guys." He said plainly to both Charlie and Zach while attempting to give a friendly smile.

Everyone has bad days. Everyone has a bad week or two, but the month of April was bad, maybe even horrible for Aaron entirely. After agreeing to help escort villains over a long distance to a safer holding center Aaron faced utter humiliation after being defeated by a handful of villains. Of course, their mission failed, or at least his did and for awhile he blamed himself. What else could he do when a picture of his bare a** was not only all over his own social media but the news and even rival talk shows. For awhile, it was the talk of the town if you wanted something easy to make fun. The big, powerful, and handsome Aaron Howl reduced to that of a laughing stock. Did he suffer excruciating humility that almost made him fade into the back of both the hero scene and public figure group? Yes. Although he had time to recover and to speak on his actions and explain himself.

One interview practically saved his career as he used one of his best powers in his arsenal: his charisma. He put a spin on the story while mostly telling the truth. As much as he liked to boast, he was in fact outnumbered significantly while a rogue speedster erupted from his containment, an electrokinetic appeared within their truck, a rather talkative assassin who damn near scarred Aaron with his unorthodox tactics, and the worst of them all was that damn telepath. He was sure she got into one of their heads as it almost felt too easy for them to take that win. That day, the odds were not in his favor.

From then and now, he's been able to bring back his sense of confidence, phased little by the jokes that still remain. He stepped onto the scene with his usual black suit attire with an aqua colored tie and a pair of deep black sunglasses. "Hello everyone. Not the turnout I expected but it'll do. Could use a little more randoms and flashing cameras." His rather slightly loud voiced called into the room before showing his million dollar smile. It was mostly a joke, considering he realized not everyone was as comfortable as him with going public with his identity and not wearing a mask. Surely that would have made the encounter in April so much easier if no one could identify his face.

This was such an ordeal for him and he didnt know how to handle it. After all these years she was treating him so nicely. He wasnt sure if it was a ploy or her being genuine. Though his brow raised when she mentioned being stressed at the SIA. Taking a cup of punch and spiking it with his liquor, handed it to her. Is that so? Are you alright? He inquired nervously If you dont mind me asking that is? He said raking his hand through his hair. One thing was for certain, whether it be his nerves or the liquor, he found himself staring at her boobs and curves more than he should and hoped she wouldnt noticed. But knowing her like he did, her aura powers would pick up the maelstrom of conflicting emotions he was feeling right now.

Once the others arrived and enjoyed a period of dining, conversation, and reflection on their achievements, their hostess was reminded of the time, and she requested everyone grab a seat. There were a few rows of seats separate of the dining table. They all faced a single long table with many briefcases stacked behind. Each contained their new suits, all of which were gifts from an old friend. For many, the suits would be a significant advantage from their original costumes. Needless to say, the upgrades would ensure greater safety in future conflicts.

“I’m sure you’ve all heard of renowned fashion designer Pamela Binetti, but more importantly, that she’s designed many of the costumes for heroes of my generation. While she officially stopped making costumes a couple years ago, I asked her if she would reconsider, and she did. I tried to be subtle, but let’s be honest, I failed miserably. However, her work is unparalleled; the dedication she put into each of these costumes has no equal, and I’ll explain why as we go.” She wasn’t going in any particular order, just taking the nearest briefcase, setting it on the table, unlocking it, and finding the flash card with the information regarding it from Ms. Binetti herself. With the iconic letter symbol, gold and white colors, flowing cape, and masculine shape, it was relatively obvious whom it was for. “It’s her latest ballistic fabric, padding between layers, compactly woven to appear sleek and mobile, while retaining its durability. I’ve been using it myself, and I can assure you that it can withstand plenty. You may not be invulnerable with the fabric, but it reduces otherwise fatal wounds from firearms into bruising. Otherwise, it’s machine washable, and has a layer for your skin to regulate temperature.” It was comfortable and durable, something Ms. Binetti did as a small mercy to heroes who already led challenging, risky lives. It was a very similar costume to the original, but the design was updated, retaining the iconic aspects. When its recipient neared, she set a hand over his shoulder, smiling as she said, “He would be proud of you.” Her words held significantly more merit than most; it was her father’s legacy, after all.

Isabella White Circuit

Issy walked into the venue, her attention caught by the two heroes whom she had encountered as part of her hero group so to speak in previous encounters. What a coincidence--she had worn something rather casual...just as Thomas was.

She had been keeping and catching up to school work and had random springs of crime fighting..alone. It was the only way to occupy her time and it'd give her more time to think if she had really wanted to be part of the group of heroes. Was she really giving up the opportunity? Maybe it was time to get out from the shadows and this was the time she guessed.

While she had gone a few weeks without really interacting with the members, she had mastered a few of her abilities pertaining to electricity--her main electricity. She moved her index just above his shoulder, sparkling a small jolt of electricity and spoke up. "Did I miss anything?"

More people seemed to fill the room, many conversations happening at once. Jon had to tune them all out for the most part or it'd drive him crazy. A good thing he had a firm grasp on his abilities. When just a few short years ago he was struggling to fly straight without going head first into the pyramids. Also, glad he didn't make too much of a dent when crashing into them. Back to reality, he was standing there listening as Susan approached him. Someone he held the utmost respect for and even admired to an extent.

Otherwise, it’s machine washable, and has a layer for your skin to regulate temperature.”

Jon was almost in awe staring at the new suit. Almost making him want to go and ask the obvious question. Was it really for him? Choosing against saying so he just stood there absolutely baffled and humbled. "He would be proud of you." When the words were said, it restored his assurance that he was fit for this, to wear this symbol, and honor him. With a nod and a smile, Jon showed his gratitude. "Thank you so much. This means the world and more coming from you." he said honest before making eyes with his new suit. Unsure to even touch it at first. He was that nervous. He loved it and couldn't wait to take it on it's first flight.

This had to be the place right? Roman checked looking down at the paper in his hand. On it written down was the address to this building. He looked up at said building and it's address to confirm he'd made it. When he realized this was it, he took in a deep breath quietly whispering to himself, 'Here goes nothing' and went inside. Upon entering he'd immediately realize the air was cool and the place for the most part was warm and inviting. It looked like a newly renovated building but maybe that was just due to it's kept up maintenance. He was late not because of any loyalties but because he needed to be sure this is something he wanted to, something he could commit to.

But he had these powers now and saw really no other choice. He couldn't sit around and sulk forever. Besides, the rush of this did something for him. Made him feel like a hero when he saved his classmates. This was the right decision. He was pointed to the room where the others were mingling and walked in, seeing many faces. Spotting a few familiars in Thomas and Isabella, he walked over to say hey. "Hey. Place is pretty packed. What's going on?" he asked arching a brow at the several lined up briefcases.

Olympia found herself peering at the suit herself, because she hadn’t seen them either. However, what truly warmed her heart was how humbled he was, not just for the costume, but the legacy that came with it, the dream of a better world that it carried. “You’re welcome, Jon. Wear it proudly. God knows you’ve earned it,” she said, directing him back to his seat with a proud smile and a small chuckle at her last comment. He had worked hard, after all. He’d been with her every step of the way since the group’s founding. She admired him, really; he was worthy to bear the mantle, she truly believed that.

As he returned to his seat, she grabbed the next two briefcases, opening it and smiling. “Charlie’s come a long way from when he began. It’s time he wears his progress,” she said aloud, inviting him to come forward and take what was rightfully his. Many of the younger heroes didn’t really have access to suitable attire for their time as superheroes. While Olympia assisted with some equipment to keep them safer, this was a significant improvement.
