Points: 2oFiddling awkwardly with the bow on one of her rings, Missy looked over the dancefloor. She couldn't spot any teachers she recognised, although honestly the place wasn't exactly kicking yet. She considered cutting into her giant cake, but she wanted everyone to see it first! With a sigh she turned towards the drinks table and sought out something sweet and preferably pink. "Maybe I should have invited someone along with me..." she mused. Oh well, there wasn't much she could do now but do her best to mingle and try to have fun. She wandered idly towards the plushie table, looking over the toys with a grin. One in particular looked perfect for one of her students, so she claimed it to give to him as a reward for his hard work.

Username: Koiasi Dorm Link: Nyxelle Nyx frowned as he continued to consider what Lizbet was telling him. He hoped things weren't exactly as bad as they were telling him, but he couldn't help but strongly dislike the music that was coming through as long as it continued as loud as it was. He held his head slightly, hoping the headache would go away soon. He felt the now familiar tickle as the flitterrat he had found earlier was seeming to make a nest in his hair. It was almost comforting, something else to focus on rather than the ache. He raised a hand, gently stroking the creature. His headache slowly started to ebb and he glanced upward, getting a better look at the crowd. He noticed that he wasn't the only one sitting or standing away from the dance floor, though he wasn't quite sure where the Chimera had gone that he was talking to previously. He supposed it really didn't matter, he'd have to get used to the individuals at the Academy in some way or another.  Devanerus, the tea culture teacher, was in his full formal attire, mask covering his face like a love interest in a magical school girl anime. He was wearing a rather dashing smile, offering the fellow teacher a cup of carbonated tea -- sweetened through natural means to help enhance the flavour. "A 'Spring's Kiss' for the lovely lady?" the chimera asked, tucking his wings in close against his body, gesturing to the bubbly drink with a gloved hand.

Points: 38Picking up another plush for a student, Missy turned her attention to the beverages. Her hand hovered over the selection of drinks, unable to decide which would be best. She jumped slightly when the chimera spoke to her, almost knocking over the drink in front of her. "O-oh? A... Spring what?" She blurted, face reddening under her freckles. She looked him up and down quickly, before her gaze focused on the glass in his hand. "Oh! A drink! Yes, of course! I couldn't choose for myself," she admitted with a smile, graciously accepting the tea. "Thank-you, how very thoughtful of you," she commented, her blush deepening. "I love drinks of all sorts, but I haven't heard of this one..." But the chimera seemed familiar, had she seen him before? Her tail - protruding from a slit under the first layer of frills around her waist - flicked playfully behind her as she wondered.

Devanerus couldn't keep himself from chuckling as the woman jumped. Ah, yes. It seemed his disguise could still serve him well, after all this time. "Spring's Kiss is a combination of strawberry, mint, and various blossoms ... it's sweet, delicate, and refreshing. Much like the beginning of spring. I hope it pleases you!" The chimera tossed his braid over his shoulder to keep it out of the way.

Not wanting to feel like a creeper, he only watched for a second or two before turning his head, thinking it was none of his business. He lifted himself to his feet, ready to go find something else to do when he heard a little bleating sound. He blinked, his eyes lowering toward where it was coming from when he saw a cute little spotted kidden trying to get his attention. He leaned down, offering his hand toward the creature to let it know he meant no harm.  Xander's attention had been disrupted when he felt the fur of a Vespercat wind against his legs. He mused, reaching down to touch the creature when he heard it hiss and hide around his legs. Had he scared it? He was about to pick it up to calm it down when he saw a Flitterrat now at his feet. Was the cat really scared of a rat? Weren't rats supposed to be afraid of them? Though, he really did think it was the former as the rat danced around his feet, causing the cat to try to claw it's way up his pants to get away.
"OUCH!" He grimaced, detaching the cat from his skin and placing it in his arms to protect it. It took him a moment or two to realize that the other student he saw looking at him earlier was heading this way, their eyes on the Flitterrat that had so rudely interrupted Xander's otherwise boring night.
"So it's yours, huh?" He glanced at the rat again, the Vespercat not seeming any less annoyed. "It seems like my new friend here really doesn't like it." He motioned toward the bundle of fur in his arms. Quote: Sorry that took so long. @.@;;

Points: 44Missy inhaled the scent of the beverage as the man explained what it was, her eyes closing as she sighed in delight. "Well, it certainly smells as lovely as spring," she breathed, opening her eyes and smiling coyly. Blowing gently over the tea to cool it down, she took a delicate sip. "Ah... that's delicious," she cooed in delight. How had she not tasted this amazing tea before? She was about to thank the chimera when she realised she hadn't introduced herself. "Oh! Where are my manners? Please, call me Missy, and- hey!" She called out, eyes having drifted over to her cake as she was talking. A brightly coloured jackalope had been sniffing it, and seemed as though it was about to take a bite before she noticed. "Ugh, excuse me..." She muttered to the man, placing her drink on the table. Walking over to her towering dessert, she scooped up the jackalope and held it up to her face. "That isn't for you! Yes, you are adorable, but I spent quite a bit of time on that I'll have you know," she berated it in a mock-lecturing voice. The jackalope merely twitched its nose at her.

He wasn't quite sure what he was going to do with the kidden and flitterrat quite yet, but he had heard of many students keeping their familiars in their dorms. Maybe he'd do the same if they stuck around that is. He decided, in the end, that even though the party was indeed loud, he was glad he came. If nothing else he got to meet a Chimera and two lovely familiars. Perhaps, in time, he'd meet more as the night went on. At least he could maybe try the local cuisine, even if it's what some of the people called "fair food". After taking a few bites, he realized that most of it was a lot more sugary and fried than he would prefer, but it was definitely an experience. Points: 51Shaking her head at the jackalope, Missy placed it on the floor under the table, although it seemed hesitant to flee. Turning back to her towering cake, the teacher realised she couldn't protect it forever, especially if little creatures were roaming about. With a sigh, she picked up the knife nearby and held it just above the larger, bottom tier. Turning to the masked man she smiled brightly; a somewhat intimidating expression when one is holding a large knife. "Could I cut you a slice? The bottom tier is fairy floss flavoured," she trilled, obviously enthusiastic about sweets. "Oh and don't worry! I made it, so I'm totally allowed to cut into it," she assured him.
Beneath them, the jackalope twitch its nose at her, implying that the offer should not exclude lovable familiars.Embi-lamb sorry for the double post ... dang point system

She smiled looking around at the dancing and merriment. She loved dancing it was literally her favorite thing to do in her whole world. She had been dancing since she was a freshling. She looked around at glowing lights and streamers it was beautiful. She was glad the dancing and music weren't too close to the kirin's ritual she wouldn't want this to ruin something important for someone else. She went out on the dance floor and started to slowly dance to the music. She closed her eyes just letting herself flow with the music. (Open for interaction)
