Jerami shook his head, "I'd... almost say that is cheating, Drexl. You can't just go back and say that the stuff we did were dates in hindsight." Though it was a nice idea, wasn't it? He would have been tempted to let it slide it it wasn't for the fact that he was just having fun teasing his friend. Well, it was someone that could be more then a friend if he wanted, huh? It was a prospect that did make his cheeks color and his antennae twitch rapidly.

As Drexl started to stumble his way forward through a confession, one that went passed dating and headlong into the idea of raising kids together Jerami faltered. His eyes went wide, his cheeks went red, and he said, "AH! D-Drexl! W-We should maybe s-start with something a few s-steps back... d-dates and... hanging out and that s-sort of thing! N-Not diving right into l-living together with children. I mean... not that I am against that with you b-but... it's a bit too much straight out of the g-gate."

Lifting his hands up he used them to cover his face, trying to get his blushing under control.

Jerami peeked from between his fingers, looking at his friend, starring at him with wide aqua eyes. After a moment he lowered his hands, clasping them together against his chest. Drexl really was an odd one, wasn't he? He was a hulking giant of a man and yet he was so nervous, wasn't he? It made Jerami want nothing more then to hug him. Stepping forward closer to his friend as he sat down he reached out, resting a hand on his head, and ruffled his dark hair, "It's alright... I'm just... I would just rather we start at the beginning, you know?"

Leaning in a bit closer he studied Drexl for a moment before he gave him a peck on the forehead, "How about I take the first step forward, hm?" Giving a smile he asked, "Want to go out on a date with me, Drexl? I can make us a lunch, we can go out on a walk with Miqwe and Bruin, and chat." He would take charge! Even if it wasn't his strong suit.

Jerami did his best to stand up as straight as possible, not that it made him look all that terribly much taller, before he said, "I don't mind doing so from time to time." He wasn't the bravest person ever but he'd do his best in this instance at least. It was easier to be brave when it was just Drexl since he wasn't scary or intimidating.

Giving a squeak as he was pulled closer to Drexl he said, "How about we plan it for a couple of days from now? That way I can see to preparing up a really nice lunch for our picnic!" He would need to gather all the ingredients, prepare some various dishes, it would be a lot of fun! The extra day or two of preparation would be so he could gather all the best things and do a bit of practicing so he only brought the best things along with him for their first official date! A thought that had him blushing happily.

Giving a smile he said, "No place in particular, we can head back to your place, and I can drop you and Miqwe off before I head back home with Bruin." He told Drexl, feeling that it was probably best that they started back toward home. They didn't want to get into any sort of trouble with the local wildlife by staying out too late after all.

Reaching out he took one of Drexl's hands in his, lacing their fingers together, before giving it a squeeze, "Come on! Let's enjoy the last leg of our walk together, shall we?"

Jerami gave a smile as Miqwe came to join them, reaching passed Drexl so he could give him a pat on the shell before standing up right again, "Heh, well we have been together since we were children. As such I was bound to feel something for you." Be it romantic or more familial kind of depended on how things went while they were growing up. It was the difference between what he felt for Drexl and what he felt for Lixes, the latter of which was far more like what having a brother probably felt like.

Giving Drexl a glance at his last comment he gave a laugh and said, "Thank you." He was glad to hear that Drexl thought he was pretty, more so that he thought him pretty then most girls. A little bit of a grin appeared on his lips as he gave him a nudge in the side and asked in a teasing manner, "Most girls, huh? Does that mean I have possible competition?" While he didn't really think it was the case he couldn't help but to tease Drexl a bit.

Jerami couldn't help it as he started to laugh, lifting his hands up to wave them at Drexl, "Alright, alright, I get it! I was just teasing a bit, Drexl. You know you really are too cute for your own good sometimes." It really made him want nothing more then to wrap his arms around Drexl so that he could give him a big hug. He'd save it for their date though since they were getting closer to Drexl's place now and he didn't want to embarrass his friend, especially not in front of Lixes. He had a feeling that his brother might end up in turn end up teasing poor Drexl to death. Not something Jerami wanted to allow.

Looking up at Drexl for a moment he gave a shake of his head, reaching a hand out so that he could give the braid a little tug, "Not sure if that would work... I mean I like tugging on them as it is to get your attention or to pull you closer to my level. We will have to think of a different signal. You have a couple days until our date so plenty of time to figure it out!" He gave him a smile before giving a little hop so he could give Drexl a kiss on the cheek.

Landing lightly on his feet he released his light hold on Drexl's braid and continue to walk along.

Jerami gave a grin, "Good! It would be a shame if I couldn't give your cute braids a tug anymore." He said to his friend, rather liking the style that Drexl had been wearing his hair in of late. Would it be alright for him to say as much? Would it be embarrassing for a big guy like Drexl to get compliments on his hair? Well, he supposed that it was too late since he'd already said that he had 'cute braids'. Oops!

"I can't wait too! It's going to be a lot of fun!" He looked up Drexl and asked of him in a curious manner, "Did you want to think about where we're going? I don't mind leaving that part of the date up to you since I will be working on the food side of it."
