Username: SkyDragono Name: Tuntre Name Meaning: It doesn't have so much a direct meaning, it's more what it stands for. This is a Scandinavian tradition where planting a sacred tree in the center of a plaza or yard. This reflects an intimacy with the place, and this is rooted in the legend of the world tree. The tree represents respect for the ancestors spirits, and a moral reminder of caring for the place where one lives. Why did you choose this name: Because the parents are taking in a lost foal from the forest, and wanting a close relationship with it, thus creating an intimate bond with it. And because they are also sure it is based off one of their wishes, that it would be tied a bit with the mythological side, and therefore the world tree just seemed to fit. Temper: Knowledgeable Personality: I can see her as being adventurous, wanting to explore the woods and the world around. She seeks knowledge in everything, from the safe to the not-so-safe, even learning some of Judah's knowledge of poisonous plants. I can also see her goading Nevena since she is easy to goad, but loving both her brother and sister, and the connection that they have. As an adult, she will be an adventurer, wanting to expand her knowledge base as much as she can, and wanting to know everything! Username: SkyDragono Name: šuma zeka Name Meaning: Forest Rabbit (Bosnian) Why did you choose this name: his rabbit ears, and the fact that he was found in a forest with no memory of where he came from. Also, the parents names are also plant related, and I wanted to follow the tradition in the naming. Temper: Skittish Personality: He will be a skittish colt. He jumps at most sounds, and hides behind his family whenever he is scared. He doesn't venture far from anyone, and he is not a fan of strangers, even when they are his size. His fight or flight instinct is pretty much pegged on flight, and he is a pretty fast runner, though he doesn't pay much attention to where he is running, and can get lost easily. He will play with his sisters, and Snubbull because they are his size, and may be play with the adults that he has grown up with. I can also see that when he finds something he really wants to fight for, he can be a little lion. But that probably won't happen until he's an adult. Favourite plant and/or flower: Wisteria

Why did you choose this name: I wanted to keep with the traditional flower/plant name. Where it is a herb I figured it would fit with his flavor. Temper: --- Personality:Tarragon is a rambunctious boy and, much like his older sister, a bit of a troublemaker. Whether it’s words spoken out of turn or a joke taken too far, truth be told, when there’s a fuss he’s certain to be nearby. But, if you get the impression that he’s just another bad apple, you’d be mistaken. His heart is usually in the right place. He loves his mothers and siblings. He wouldn’t even hurt a fly(more than it has coming, anyhow). Staying still for any interval of time is difficult for Tarragon. Username: HoneyTeaTree Name: Brandnetel Name Meaning: Stinging Nettle; life and death, protection Why did you choose this name: I wanted to stay within the realm of plant-based names, and I really enjoy the overall meaning of his name. Though I didn't want to just call him Nettle, so I looked for an alternative in another language. Temper: Protective. Personality: Brandnetel, overall, is a protective brother. He greatly takes after his mommy, meaning his handling of his emotions is relatively guarded. He wants to be the strong one that others rely on, making it difficult for him to share his own feelings with others when he sees how much more vulnerable they are; Brand doesn't want to burden others with his problems. He's especially fond of Brinley, going out of his way to protect her and essentially be her knight in shining armor whenever someone tries to hurt her. He dislikes those who have corrupted intentions or those that seem to hide their true character. His more aggressive nature can be seen when he's around such types, and if he were to ever be around Judah or others of similar quality, Brandnetel would act out and make his distrust known to the offending party. Brand has a prideful personality and once he assess someone, it can take a very long time for him to reassess and reevaluate somebody, especially after they've offended him or his family. Why did you choose this name: May he be sturdy and steadfast like a tree, yet receptive to knowledge, learning, and being shaped by a mentor for a greater purpose. I imagine him as a mild, calm individual that has a more bold and “flavorful” personality than he appears to at one's first impression. Alternately, perhaps he could have gotten his name because he has legs that are brown like a tree trunk, with a body that is colored like foliage. Temper: Nuanced Personality: Linden, at first glance, presents as a calm, pleasant, and gentle individual. All of these things he may indeed be, but he is not nearly as easygoing as he generally appears. Underneath his mild manner lies great fortitude and mental strength; one might call him stubborn, but his unwillingness to move, bend, or break in the face of opposition is rooted firmly in his personal code of morality, rather than in pride. Why did you choose this name: I chose his name because of the warm, earthly brown tones of the leaves in his mane and the markings adorning his legs and tail. These traits combined with the mixture of pale and vibrant shades of green and blue made me think of the transition between seasons, where I then elected to look for an Autumn inspired name, which would also connect to the families interests and habitat. Temper: Diffident Personality: Asher has spent the entirety of his short life in the company of his mothers, sisters, their familiars and the surrounding forest with infrequent visits, on the occasion when his Mamma Hollie goes to visit Snubbull, Asher will but reluctantly go with her, to the lush meadows over yonder. She has an affinity for the moon and stars that, in part, is due to her introspective personality. He also has markings that remind of a fern and the redish hair like a red fern <3 He is so adorable!! Temper: If I put anything…maybe Honorable Personality: Farley is a rambunctious foal as any would be and enjoys getting into mischief every now and again, but has a strong affinity to want to protect those he cares about. This especially goes for his mothers and sisters; maybe being the only son has something to do with it. In his younger days he sometimes can try to be a little pranksters but doesn’t usually get away with them. He can almost never 'get the drop' on Mama Neve, he can not figure out how she always knows….. As he gets older he does mature and the joking is down to a minimum, but he is always a foal at heart. Why did you choose this name: When I see how, he looks like a smaller spring bunny, innocent and excited so I wanted a name to match. Temper: Intellectual Personality: Haruki is a bright and curious boy who loves plants, life and the sun. Lost from his family in a terrible storm, the young foal stumbled upon a loving family that readily took him in until they could find his real family. Haruki is very inquisitive, loving to study plants and trees around him and exploring the nearby forest. When excited, he tends to bounce through tall grass like a fawn, only his ears visible through the foliage. A bright, cheerful boy who lights up wherever he is, he can become quiet when he finds something to study, viewing it from all angles. More than once though, they have to stop him from putting things in his mouth, lest it be poisonous. It resembles a flickering lamp and is said to recede if approached, drawing travelers from the safe paths. Why did you choose this name: It fits a perfect trickster! <3 Temper: (omit on cert) In one word though, Impish Personality: Wisp, as she will better be known as is one who enjoys the playful aspects of life. She takes every moment in a joyful and fantastically dopey fashion. She enjoys being around others and finds being alone just a wee bit scary (i.e she's gonna be up your butt a bit!) She adores telling jokes and making others laugh, and playing pranks on others is rather commonplace for this rambunctious girl! She is particularly careful with her smaller and much more sensitive sister Brinley, and takes care not to pick on her too hard as the last thing Wisp aims to do is hurt anyone's feelings! The wood is dense and used for carving and turning and for tool handles and walking sticks. Rowan the foal will be one who wants very much to be the one to support others. 2. It was thought to be a magical tree and give protection against malevolent beings. The tree was also called "wayfarer's tree" or "traveler's tree" because it supposedly prevents those on a journey from getting lost. Temper: Mystic (being a legend lover and a very intuitive creature has given Rowan an air of a true druidic heart) Personality: Oh my, where to begin... Rowan is a bit of a sensitive soul. He is a gentle sort through and through, yet he has an overwhelming need and urge to protect his his sisters and the rest of his family. He does not like violence and tries very hard to avoid it, using curious methods to make this possible - he is rather adept at literally side-stepping away from danger. He trusts his instincts, knows the gut feeling is a feeling for a reason and does not ignore it. It's extremely hardy, surviving the coldest winter and the driest of summers. Why did you choose this name: I really like strong, hardy plants (I do not have a green thumb), and it fits with the flower naming scheme! Temper: (Omit on cert) Happy-Go-Lucky Personality: You might say she's naive, or even silly, but Edelweiss is a bundle of joy. Almost to the point of being annoying, everything she sees is lovely in her eyes. Even on the rainiest, wettest, coldest of days! Edelweiss likes to help her mothers as much as she can, and enjoys playing with her siblings. She has a love of all things living: birds, plants, animals and even rocks. Hating to see anyone sad or upset, she will try and chase away their pain with St. Johns Wort or flood them with silly sayings like "You're as beautiful as apples taste".
