Laqui glanced to Abie as the youth watched the youngling fondly. Abie smiled warmly at the child, would a child between him and Incanthis turn out like this little one. The silvery hair made Abie think of Shifters. He looked to Laqui with a chuckle. "My mentor created a pool on his lands for them, the waters aren't always cool. I have plans to leave for other places. With cooler waters for them to bask in." Laqui felt the small tiny thing on his belly. The beast started to gently purr just to show he was content.

"Ok, that's good. I'm sure Laqui will like swimming in lots of cool water." Bahari nodded, sitting up again to look at the animal from this funny angle. It was quite odd to see a big beast up close like this -- close enough to see his chest rise and fall with each breath, his forelegs wriggle a bit to keep his balance. The grumpy perzi that lived in the manor didn't even let him get this close half the time -- she just hissed and arched her back. She was kind of scary... scarier than Laqui, for sure. Even though Laqui had way bigger teeth, and a mouth easily big enough to swallow Bahari in one go.
Thinking about it, he was a bit upset that he couldn't get the perzi to treat him as well as Abie got Laqui to behave. She wasn't his pet, of course, and Sarii would probably throw a fit if Bahari tried to 'train' her perzi, but Bahari sure wanted to show that critter who was boss!
Well, if he had his own janarim, he'd scare that perzi clear off, what was for sure.
"Where are you going to go? Will you go to Matori?"

Abie chuckled as he watched Laqui rose his head to lick at the youngling's cheek. The large beast settled back, breathing deeply as to test the tiny hybrids balance. After a moment Abie hummed. "Matori would be the last place I'd go...I wanna see the rest of our world first." He brought up a knee to rest his chin on it. "I wanna help a cherished friend of mine find his family in Jauhar. Its my dearest wish to see him smile one day. Not out of obligation for my sake...but a true...true smile." he smiled warmly at the smaller male. "Did you ever see yourself leaving her Bahari?" he asked. He would like to see a child like this live their life how they wanted. Not as someone's cherished...pet. He took a deep breath as he steadied his nerves.

The man's words seemed to give him cause to think. At first, he had thought it would be normal for a water earthling like him to go to Matori... but why? Of course it made sense for Abie to go other places, to see what they were like too. And Bahari was fascinated to know that he had a friend in Jauhar that he wanted to help. And he could do that, because he was older, and he had a well-trained snaptrotter to go with him and defend him from bad guys and scary things like that.
"Yeah." The little hybrid nodded, flopping down off the beast's belly. "I want to go other places too, and help people also. Uncle Buthos doesn't talk about it much, me leaving... but I'll ask him when I get bigger. Maybe I'll find you!"

Stereochrome Sounds good to me! I can't wait to see this pretty lil sweetheart! Abie chuckled as he reached out to ruffle the child's hair affectionately. "I look forward to it..." he held up his pinky finger. "Its a promise." After they made their promise the elder stood as he heard his foster father call for him. He picked up Bahari, setting the child on his feet before Laqui rolled to stand. The large beast nuzzling the youngling in affection before the two bigger beings left.
