                                    ᴡʜᴇʀᴇxx DawnClan camp
ᴡɪᴛʜxx Redbriar, Iceleap > Shadowstone > DawnClan
ᴏᴏᴄxx Okay yeah so this got away from me. But since it's Stormstar he refuses to apologize.
xxx Stormstar opened his eyes slowly to the early morning light. Rising, he stretched each of his large paws before smoothing his thick pelt. Finishing that he ran his long claws over the sides of the den, digging into the latticework of clawmarks from the two leaders before him. I swear on these walls that I will right your wrongs. he thought solemnly towards the former leaders before padding out into the dawn.

Being one of the first cats out and about, he found a patch of sunlight to sit in. His thoughts ran through the events of last night as he adjusted his plans to accommodate them, his busy thoughts a stark contrast to the apparent stillness of his large form. Eventually his clan began to stir, emerging from their dens to go about their day. Stormstar opened his amber gaze to Redbriar, who had just returned to report in from dawn patrol. "Well done, Redbriar. Go ahead and join Petalfall and Leopardspots, but Iceleap and I have unfinished business." Standing, he looked over to where the injured she cat had just emerged from her den. Locking gazes with her, he addressed her from across the clearing. "I say the two of us take a walk of our own." Without waiting for the she cat to reply he padded out of the bramble thicket, expecting Iceleap to follow. And she would if she didn't want to risk earning any more of his ire.

"Tell me how it is we hunt, Iceleap." The big tom sat in the middle of a clearing, well away from listening ears of his clanmates. "That's right, we stay in the shadows. We keep up our guard. We don't let a little mouse catch us by surprise." Anger coloured his last statement, the she cat would know full well he was no longer talking about hunting. "You are a warrior of DawnClan. Proud, ambitious, unbreakable. That is our legacy." He stood then, his form towering over her. "What you did last night was unacceptable. To think a little garbage apprentice turned traitor pinned you?" Stormstar turned away in disgust. "You have embarrassed your clan."

"Since you could be so easily defeated by an apprentice then perhaps you are to be treated as one." His thick tail curling around himself, he thought for a moment. "Unfortunately we don't have any available mentors for you, so for an entire moon you are to act as a medicine cat apprentice. Anything Forestfern needs, you will do for her." He turned to look at her then, his anger fading slightly at her expression. "...But despite everything, you did do something right." His expression softened at her reaction. "Because of you, StarClan showed every cat that FloodClan should not have been at that Gathering.... Well done." He touched his tail tip to her shoulder, his voice lowering to a growl. "Just make sure next time some FloodClan cat attacks you, you win that fight." Stormstar finished his admonishment by touching his nose to her forehead. She had disappointed him, but she had also helped his plans along so she was forgiven.

Stormstar made his way back through the bramble walls before selecting a choice morsel from the recently stocked fresh kill pile. He'd just polished off his meal when Shadowstone returned to make his report. He listened with perked ears, disappointed that his deputy had been unsuccessful but glad for his effort. "That is... unfortunate. But we cannot control the wind and rain." Stormstar cleaned his paws and got to his feet. "But you did your best. I will continue the search tomorrow, and you the next day until we find them." The broad-shouldered tom growled under his breath. "And don't worry, we will find them." Stormstar moved to walk past Shadowstone but paused, glancing at the fat rabbit that the deputy had just brought back. "You must be hungry. Go ahead and have that entire rabbit to yourself, I insist. You've earned it." The DawnClan leader waved any or all of Shadowstone's protests, not moving until he'd seen Shadowstone eat most of the fresh kill.

Satisfied, Stormstar leapt onto the stump and yowled for DawnClan to gather. "Let all cats old enough to climb the trees gather beneath the great stump for a clan meeting!" The leader addressed his clan by reviewing the events of last night's Gathering, including Lynxstar's demand that DawnClan hand over part of their territory before the next moon, and ending with painting a picture of the insolent FloodClan apprentice who dared attack a cat, their own clanmate, under a full moon truce. "But that is to be expected from a clan of rogues and traitors. We now know we can never turn our back on them, as Iceleap can attest, they will show mercy to no cat." He went on to say that it is still not right that DawnClan had been involved in covering the moon, and as recompense Iceleap was to help Forestfern for a moon.

"But I want every cat here to know, we are DawnClan. But that is more than just a name. It means we are a clan, a family. And family is sacred." Stormstar paused to let his words settle, accepting a few yowls of agreement. "I am your leader, and as such I will do my very best for you. All I ask in return is that you trust me. Your loyalty is the lifeblood of this clan. This family. And without it, DawnClan will die." He took a moment to meet the gaze of his clan. "But whatever happens next moon, know that I would give all nine of my lives before I see DawnClan fall. But that will not happen. Because as long as we have our clan and our code, we can know in our hearts that DawnClan will rise!" Stormstar let all his passion and fury fill his last statement, inciting a few yowls and cheers from his clan. His heart swelled with pride as he took in the sight before him. I will fight for you, my new ShadowClan. With all that I am.

"Of course, Stormstar." Redbriar mewed, dipping his head respectfully to his leader before taking the dismissal and heading back out of camp. He passed the two-she cats on his way, but seeing as they were mostly finished, he continued on his path to the training maple. As leaf-bare drew closer, the tree was always a great spot for finding squirrels, as they seemed to like making their nests for the cold season in the tall branches. All it took was a little patience, and some sore claws after having to scale half the tree to catch the last of his prizes. He returned to camp with three squirrels, jaws straining from the effort and shoulders giving him a through scolding for his none-to-careful climbing session.

He deposited his kills right as Stormstar called for a meeting. His stomach rumbled quietly in protest even as he stepped away to hear what Stormstar had to say. There was something in their leader's voice that struck awe into Redbriar every time; His pelt always itched and he felt like he could take on the world if it was Stromstar leading the way. He cheered with his clanmates when appropriate, unable to help himself with the pride he felt. When it was settled, he took one of the squirrels he'd returned with, taking it off to the side to enjoy his meal.

--~--

Iceleap tried not to let her disappointment show when Stormstar singled her out, but still followed like an obedient kit. She did her best when they settled though to keep her back straight, even though her pelt burned and she felt smaller than she ever had. She couldn't help but flinch at being called a dissapointment, even though she knew it was true. She kept her eyes downcast, and her ears folded a bit at being compared to an apprentice. And she would be with Forestfern the entire moon? She didn't think she could be more embarassed if she tried. "Yes Stormstar." She mewed, reguardless, so he would know that she could at least still listen.

She was admittedly surprised when his tone changed and he touched her shoulder. She looked back up at him, confused but grateful that she had at least managed something right. "I won't be caught off guard again." She promised firmly, something warming in her chest as he touched his nose to her forehead. She followed him back to camp feeling lighter than she had on her way out, more determined to not let him down again, than dissapointed she had at all.

She waited for Forestfern to return, and saw the medicine cat pad in with full jaws. She was going to warn the medicine cat that she was stuck with Iceleap for a moon, when Stormstar called the meeting.

--~--

Forestfern, Flarepaw, and Sunwhisper had barely had enough time to pad into camp and deposit their bundles of herbs before Stormstar called for a meeting. All three re-joined their clan, listening to what he had to say. Forestfern resisted the urge to hiss softly as he announced she would be the lucky winner of a disinterested warrior for a moon, 'Just what I need, a disobedient warrior to trip over. Couldn't you have at least asked first?' She saw Petalfall shoot her a sympathetic look, and felt some of her annoyance subside. Having designated protection could prove useful, and an active warrior to help show Flarepaw some fighting moves for self defense would be nice... Though she would have picked her sister any day.

Regardless, as the meeting drew to a close, Forestfern informed Iceleap that for the day, she would not be in need of the warrior's services. She also was sure to thank Sunwhisper, before the warrior took her leave to get some prey.

"Flarepaw, fetch something for both of us off the fresh-kill pile, please?" Forestfern mewed, before padding over to lie near the entrance of their den. After their meal, she figured she would show Flarepaw how to properly store the catmint, and probably give her a little surprise test on some of the herbs they had on hand.

Shadowstone nodded at Stormstar's words. "Alright. Good luck to you tomorrow, maybe you'll have more luck than I." The tom purred. "Although, I do have one request." He paused for a moment, looking at his leader. "If you do find something. Please, don't investigate on your own. I know you're not a kit and you can take care of yourself, but we still need you. I'm not sure we'd fare too well if something were to happen to you." Shadowstone lowered his gaze for a moment, despite not agreeing on some (rather big) things, he did care what happened to Stormstar - he was trying, and that was all any cat could ask of their leader.

"Oh I don't." Shadowstone tried to argue, but he couldn't very well say that he'd eaten already. That wasn't an option. With a sigh, the black tom nodded and picked up the rabbit he'd brought in; settling down and taking a bite, giving Stormstar a nod. He would have to do extra patrols and hunt for all of Starclan before he'd feel better about eating this much. Taking another bite, he swallowed and frowned down at the rabbit. "I can't possibly eat all of this myself. I don't feel right not sharing." He murmured, shrugging before sitting up. "You call the meeting, perhaps I'll see if Petalfall is hungry. She has led the dawn patrol two days in a row." Shadowstone meowed, giving his leader a friendly shove towards the great stump.

Watching Stormstar take to the great stump, Shadowstone sighed and glanced around for Petalfall - hoping to Starclan that she hadn't eaten yet so she could help him finish off the rabbit. Moving his eyes back to Stormstar, he listened to the information he already new; glancing around at the reactions of his clanmates. At the words about family, Shadowstone couldn't help but raise his voice - this was his family.

All of his nine lives? Shadowstone sorely hoped it wouldn't come to that. But he supposed one day would be Stormstar's last. He wasn't looking forward to that day. "Dawnclan!" Shadowstone jumped to his paws and yowled.

Giving his head a shake, he picked up the rabbit and padded over to Petalfall. "Hungry?" He asked, dropping the rabbit at their paws.

Petalfall had to give Stormstar at least some credit: he had a way with words that no cat could deny. Even she, despite her skepticism of some of the things he said, felt her chest warm with pride as he spoke of them as a family. So while even though she couldn't agree that all the traitors had been bad cats home they were better off without (and she certainly had her doubts that Iceleap's mouth had nothing to do with the previous evening's altercation, though she'd never bring that up), she could agree that DawnClan would rise above the struggle. And she did, certainly, trust him to protect their way of life with all that he was. Her littermate's unwavering faith in the tom was more than enough to convince her that at least his heart was in the right place. Forestfern had always been a decent judge of character, and Petalfall doubted that would change with just one rotation of leadership within the clan.

As the meeting drew to a close, Petalfall moved off to the side, intending to look for her sister and perhaps take a rare moment to share tongues with her. She was pleasantly surprised when Shadowstone approached her before she could wander too far and dropped a rabbit at her paws. The small, desperate part of her that had a crush on the tom fluttered slightly in her chest. She did her level best to ignore the thought and not act like a fool, doing her best to keep her reaction on par with what she would give any other cat.

"Yes, thank you!" She mewed, gratefully taking a bite of the rabbit and savoring the taste. "This was a good catch for this time of year, where were you hunting?" She added once she'd swallowed, waiting for him to take a bite.

Shadowstone purred with slight relief to hear that she would accept the rabbit. He didn't really fancy looking around for someone to help him finish the rabbit, but he most certainly did not want to finish it all himself - he would rather not eat himself sick. The tom would feel beyond guilty for that.

Green eyes blinked at her question. Where did he catch it? That was a good question. He remembered being more than halfway back to camp before he remembered to catch something. He knew he turned around, but for the life of him he couldn't seem to put his paw on how far he'd padded before he'd scented the delicious morsel. "Um, I can't actually pinpoint the area - I won't lie." Shadowstone purred in amusement. "Forgetful me. Must be getting old." He joked. "I don't think it was too far from camp, not to close either. I wasn't expecting to find that." He poked the rabbit with his paw. "Couldn't resist bringing it back when it crossed my path."

"Oh, don't go saying that. We're the same age, and I certainly am not ready for the elder's den yet." Petalfall purred in reply to the joke. It was a shame he cou;dn quite recall where - seeing if there were more rabbits like this was certainly high on her priority list. But perhaps if it had any chubbier friends, they would make a nice surprise later on in the thick of leafbare.

"Out of curiosity, how did DuskClan take FloodClan? Were they just as upset...?" She added after a moment, unable to contain her curiosity.

Shadowstone fell silent as he recall"ed the Gathering. It wasn't uneventful. "Well..." The tom sighed and sat down, a thoughtful look on his face. "Before the leader's began their announcements, I think most of Duskclan were just surprised, not full of tension but not ready to become best friends either - you know?" Shadowstone shrugged. "Most cats were civil as we should be at a gathering, until Lynxstar starting speaking of territory. Then you could feel the tension rise. I think some cats wanted to react, but Foxstar was very calm about everything - probably holding off on his opinion until Duskclan got back home." The black tom nodded, looking at Petalflall. "Sunshade is Floodclan's deputy. Moonpool their medicine cat." He couldn't recall seeing too terribly much of a reaction when Stormstar saw his brother at the gathering, but he supposed words would have been flying if it had been just the two of them.

Ears perking he turned to Shadowstone, curious as what he might possibly need from him. When the dark furred tom asked that Stormstar not pursue any leads on his own his head cocked slightly to one side in surprise. The DawnClan leader was unused to any cat looking out for him in this way, as he'd never really had a cat do that for him and had since learned not to need it. "That's not unreasonable. Very well, I will keep that in mind." The brindle tom watched Shadowstone take a few more bites before taking his leave after the other cat shoved him slightly towards the great stump. Stormstar's head whipped around at this, shooting the deputy a warning look. I may value you greatly but do not forget your place. He didn't say the words out loud but his expression carried the sentiment.

After addressing the clan Stormstar made his way back to his den for rest and solitude. He was sure he would find FloodClan before the next moon, and until then he needed time to think and plan.

xxx Stormstar was incredibly frustrated. The big brindle tom was pacing furiously back and forth at the back of his den, his rage coming off of him in waves almost palpable to the two other cats that sat nearby. "Three quarter moons. Three. Quarter. Moons." Stormstar hissed the words through bared teeth. "Shadowstone and I have searched every inch of this forest and have found absolutely nothing in three quarter moons!" He whipped around to look at Shadowstone and Forestern, who were the unfortunate audience to his frustration.

"Where in StarClan could they be?" Stormstar turned and raked his claws lengthwise over the surface of the den, actually managing to throw sparks as the packed dirt and clay was embedded with small magnesium particles that ignited beneath his fury. The big tom was too irate to question the phenomenon, almost immediately going back to pacing the den. "The next Gathering is in three days. Three days and Lynxstar and his ilk will be padding into our territory demanding we roll over and give him what he wants." Stormstar paused, managing to reign in his anger for a moment, though it still boiled beneath the surface at his next words, making them sound that much more sinister. "I will not let that happen."

Stormstar sat, curling his tail around him and closing his eyes for a moment. When he opened them all traces of his earlier intensity were gone, and he addressed his counsel with cold calculation. "We cannot let that happen." He met each of their gazes carefully, weighing his words before speaking next. "Our time is falling short and action must be taken. But I wish to hear what it is you two think is best for DawnClan." Stormstar's word was the law according to the warrior code, but he was not above asking for advice from his most trusted cats. Of course, he would probably end up doing whatever it was he wanted to do regardless, but he'd listen to what they had to say.

Shadowstone sat quietly in Stormstar's den, it had been a very unsuccessful search. Seeing how frustrated the tom was, Shadowstone felt a bit guilty for not sharing which part of the border he'd left Leafpaw at - but he'd promised her, and he was a tom of his word. The green eyed tom jumped a bit when sparks flew - quite literally. He couldn't remember seeing him this frustrated. But he had every right to be so. How could one group of cats hide this well? Was Starclan really on their side? He was always told that they didn't pick sides.

At the soft but stern announcement, Shadowstone nodded. They couldn't just give over some of their territory; no matter how much it tugged at his heart to see Leafpaw so hungry. The warrior code was to be followed, so he had to put Dawnclan first no matter what his heart felt; and Dawnclan needed the prey as much as Floodclan did. Especially with leafbare coming.

"I think it would be foolish to give up some of our territory this close to leafbare." Shadowstone meowed, weighing the pros and cons of everything. "That's not to say that we will never help anyone, but we have to think about Dawnclan first. And with leafbare coming we need that prey more than ever." The tom shrugged.

"But why has it been so hard? Does Starclan not want them found yet? Have they picked sides?" Shadowstone moved his questioning gaze to Forestfern.

Forestfern had difficulty not flinching at Stormstar's tone, let alone when he clawed the wall so hard that sparks flew. The fact that his were even sharp enough to do so was mildly unnerving. She managed to keep herself still, trying to force a facade of calm.

When he finally settled, Forestfern felt some relief in her chest at his rage being brought to heel; or at least him presenting himself like it had been. Sometimes it seemed hard to tell if that anger would be directed at either herself or Shadowstone, but once he calmed enough to sit, he seemed more predictable. As he asked for their opinion, Forestfern mulled over her own words, trying to think of the best way to offer her suggestion. She let Shadowstone speak first, nodding in agreement with his words.

"I agree that we shouldn't turn over territory. If FloodClan is so determined to live on their own, they can feed their own cats from wherever it is that they're hiding." She replied. A small part of her did hold pity for them and their motives, but not enough for her to wish to see her own clan mates starve.

"As for where they may be hiding... Has anyone searched the abandoned two-leg dens? There's always plenty of rogue scent there, perhaps they're using that and the odd two-leg plants to help disguise themselves? Though, in case it is them, perhaps choose some trusted warriors as opposed to one of yourselves - they may be moving when your scents are near by, they might be less guarded around another." She suggested after a moment. At least with that wording, it kept her from implicating herself or Flarepaw or Sunwhisper or Iceleap in the scents they'd spent the bulk of the last moon dismissing while herb hunting.

"As for the motives of StarClan, I wish I could say. They've been quiet lately, aside from Mosspelt offering some advice on where to find a herb I was looking for. Perhaps their will is for there to be another clan, or perhaps Lynxstar is a brighter tom than I think most cats would have taken him for. They don't choose any side except for that which is best for the clans to live on. I wish they were giving me more to work with. Maybe a visit to the Moonstream would grant us both more clarity?" She finished, meeting Stormstar's gaze once again. She hoped at least one of their answers would grant him some peace. Even if she was fairly intimidated by his anger, she still cared for their leader, and would like to seem him rest more easily.
--~--

Redbriar woke early, rousing Sunwhisper as he went, earning a sharp cuff to the ear from the mute warrior. Purring in quiet amusement, he padded out into the early morning sunshine. His former apprentice soon followed, stretching leisurely at his side. They both took the time to groom their pelts, before being assigned the dawn patrol. Redbriar nodded, giving his clan mates a few moments more to awaken, so he could take one more cat along. When he spotted Harespring, he padded over to her.

"Hey Harespring. Care to join Sunwhisper and I on the dawn patrol?" He mewed.

--~--

Iceleap was grateful beyond anything that her moon serving under Forestfern was almost over. Assisting with the medicine cat duties wasn't as bad as she expected, and going over basic battle and hunting skills with Flarepaw had been actually pretty fun. Still, she missed the brisk trot of a dawn patrol and the thrill of bringing prey back to camp. She missed feeling useful to the clan.

She had, unfortunately, had to watch Forestfern head into a meeting with Stormstar before she could be assigned a task for the day. So unfortunately, she had to wait until the medicine cat came back to do anything. Disappointed, she settled a ways away from the warrior den to groom her pelt to perfection as she waited, trying not to start too enviously as Redbriar rounded up an early patrol.

--~--

Petalfall was admittedly grateful to not have been asked on a morning patrol. It seemed like she was always on one, so to have the reprieve of a slightly later morning was a welcome change.

Slowly, the warmth faded from the den, rousing Petalfall from her sleep. She sat up, pleased that there were still a few cats within. It always bothered her if she happened to be the last one awake. Shaking some moss from her pelt, she padded out into the clearing. She took a few moments to stretch and groom, before finally deciding to wander out on her own.

As the chill of leaf-bare took a firmer grip around the forest, prey was becoming harder and harder to find. She wandered south, mouth open, steps light as she scented as carefully as she could. It took some time, but eventually, she found a bluebird. It was smaller than she would have liked, but prey was prey, and she'd rather bring something over nothing back to the clan.

One bluebird and a significant amount of time searching later, Petalfall returned to camp with that and a mouse in her jaws. It wasn't much, but it would at least feed a few cats. Besides, even as she dropped her catch, she only intended to pause long enough to lick at a scratch on her pad before returning to her hunt.

Harespring and Ravenstrike were sat together beneath the Great Stump, grooming their sleep-mussed pelts as the chill gradually woke them. Harespring peered at her mother occasionally, watching her absently lap at herself, her gaze caught up on faded leaves making their descent from the branches of trees that encircled their camp. A shiver ran through Harespring, not that her mother took notice. She momentarily wondered how startled Ravenstrike would be if she were to press up against her, seeking warmth in her thick pelt. She made no motion to do so, though. The two she-cats were almost always at one another's side, and yet there remained a sort of distance between them. One that neither would ever acknowledge aloud.

The faint sound of approaching paw steps warned her of Redbriar closing in on her blind side. She angled her head so his bright pelt could swarm her vision. "Hey Harespring. Care to join Sunwhisper and I on the dawn patrol?" Thankful for something to do besides shiver, she promptly rose to her paws. "Of course," she mewed, at the precise moment a leaf settled over her nose. Ravenstrike reached forward with a paw to brush it off, the gesture almost maternal in its gentleness. Harespring spared a glance toward her, her expression dulling to a mixture of bewilderment and sadness, which her mother hardly noticed. A purr came from her as she gently flicked her kit's shoulder with her tail. "And off she goes, my little devoted one, to tend to her clan dutifully," she meowed, attempting warmth but falling just short. Harespring's ears drew back, finding her mother's tone condescending and mocking. She turned away, padding off from Ravenstrike in favor of Redbriar.

Maplefeather's stomach growling was loud and insistent enough to actually wake her. She clamped her jaw shut on a whimper, feeling as though hunger was carving at her. Not that she'd be curbing said hunger anytime soon. Since being dragged back to DawnClan, she'd been put under strict punishment, meaning: eating only when offered prey and remaining in camp unless accompanied by another warrior. 'Though I'm certain Stormstar has no qualm to piling on more as he sees fit,' she thought bitterly while stretching a paw over her head and wincing at the pain that comes with a long empty belly. She lifted herself from her nest and picked her way out, emerging into the dim morning. Her head swam from moving too quickly too soon, bringing her to a pause just outside the den. She slowly sat, curling her tail around herself as she closed her eyes against the lightheaded feeling, waiting for it to reside before she went to seek out what tasks there were to be done around camp.

xxx Stormstar was quiet while his deputy and medicine cat spoke. When both had finished saying their piece, Stormstar let the silence hang over them, a very pregnant pause. Inside his head a thousand possibilities spun, his mind analyzing and sorting each one before he broke the silence.

"DawnClan is always our first priority. I want to check the twoleg dens personally, but this will just be reconnaissance." He looked over to where Shadowstone sat, remembering his promise to his deputy. "And I will take a warrior with me. Any more would be a patrol so I will just keep it small for stealth purposes." His thick tail brushed the floor of the den as he considered something. "Forestfern has a point that our scents could be a trigger, so I won't have you be the one to come with me." Stormstar raised his tail to silence any protests that the dark tom may or may not have.

"Also I have a much more important job for you." Glancing at Forestfern the brindle tom seemed to come to a decision. "I want you to escort Forestfern to Moonstream tonight. She's right that seeking StarClan's advice is our best option. FloodClan has muddied too much for us to see things clearly. Going to Moonstream may be the cleanse we've been needing. So take this time to eat and rest, it could be a long night for both of you." The DawnClan leader dismissed the two at this, waiting for both cats to have left the den before running a claw across the packed dirt. "I will find you in whatever StarClan-forsaken place you've holed yourself up in, Sunshade." The malice in his tone was raw, his eyes glowing with an inner fury that could singe a pelt with a look.

When Stormstar exited his den all traces of his earlier rancor were gone, his pawsteps oddly light. He watched as Redbriar led Sunwhisper and Harespring out of the bramble tunnel on dawn patrol. Turning, he caught sight of Ravenstrike, and an idea began to form in his mind. He thought for a moment before seeming to decide something and approached her. "Good morning Ravenstrike. Care to join me for a walk? Forestfern mentioned some rogues giving her trouble at the abandoned Twoleg nests where she gathers herbs. I want to see if those degenerates are so brave when you and I pay them a visit~" His tone was light and teasing, not one he used often but it seemed to come naturally to him despite that.

Cloverlush stretched her legs out in front of her with a yawn before padding out of the warriors den into the brisk air. It was definitely getting colder, she felt for those with shorter pelts and not for the first time; she was thankful for her longer fur. Giving her pelt a shake, she green eyes looked around the camp before they settled on Maplefeather. The poor she-cat looked unfairly hungry. She sighed, she knew that a lot of cats had been mad when they caught the warrior; but to make her starve? She was still a part of the clan, she should be fed like one; should she not? Cloverlush glanced over to the fresh kill pile. Maybe a small bit? The multicoloured she cat paused. Oh Duststrike, I wish you could help me. She looked at her paws. No. If Stormstar was going to punish her for kindness, then let him; she would take the consequence. Moving towards the pile, Cloverlush picked up a mouse and walked over to where Maplefeather was sitting. "Good morning Maplefeather." She greeted, dropping the mouse at the warrior's paws. "You look hungry." She murmured, pushing the mouse towards the other cat with her paw.

        "Did you sleep well?"
