Orpheus Solon

Abie watched Incanthis, slowly letting the other lay out on his own while he found the strength to lift himself up further off of the elder. As he watched Junior, Borqet slipped his tail off Abie's back to just stare at the smaller whelp. The larger red male wasn't about to get challenged by a smaller, let alone his own younger sibling who knew who was Alpha of the group. As Borqet's fangs started to unsheath in a slow building snarl. Abie was instantly off Incanthis to slip between the two siblings.

"Borqet! Deck now! Go lay down and calm yourself..." he glanced back to Junior. Understanding where the green whelp's loyalties laid. Sorta hurt he kept his back to Junior. Borqet was the one he was dominating not Junior. "Junior...go where you want to, but stop causing strife in your siblings."

It was a warning to the green whelp. Keep causing trouble and Abie would have to show special treatment to the whelp. He didn't want to do that. Not when he knew that would only cause issues of dominance with the others. Sighing he crossed his arms as he glanced down to Incanthis. "Sorry. I didn't mean to pin you...Borqet's being a brat."

This was so not how he wanted their first kiss to go. The youth mentally was stabbing his leg with the small dagger he kept at his side. Maybe a good scar would be his just reward for screwing this up.

Incanthis dragged himself up right once he was freed from the pin, pushing himself from sitting to his feet, then lifted a hand to rest it against his chest. He squeezed his eyes closed, dragging in a breath, and was almost instantly cursing himself mentally. That wasn't what he wanted to happen... they were supposed to have a nice, relaxing time in the courtyard. He was supposed to help Abie to feel better, not worse, and definitely didn't want to rile up the whelps!

Opening up his eyes he looked downward Abie after the young man banished the snaptrotters to separate corners, before he started to apologize to him. Giving a shake of his he reached out, resting it on Abie's head, and said, "It wasn't you, Abie, it wasn't what you did, nor was it the kiss... I am just... not good when it comes to... well, being held down." His voice was hushed as he admitted to such a thing because it meant having to think about, well, what he had to deal with in the past. Not something that he wanted to think about, ever.

He shoved those thoughts aside, stepping forward so that he couple stroke Abie's hair gently, "I'm sorry, Abie... I didn't want to make you feel bad..."

Abie looked at Incanthis with a small cheeky grin. "So....next time you can pin me?" he offered before feeling Kii tail whack his knees. "HOLY---!!!" he stumbled a little into Incanthis as he stared down at her. "What?!? It's a legit question!!!!"

The female huffed before she slipped off to nose Junior into the small nest pile that was currently forming around Laqui. Lithe chirped at Borqet, but the bigger male didn't move. Abie sighed. "Borqet...stop sulking...when your ready join the others..." he glanced to Incanthis. "Seriously though...if you ever want to...I don't mind." he gave the other a cheeky smirk before kissing his cheek. "I'm not going to be shy...well I am...but not as shy as I have been...I mean..." he blushed looking down at his feet. "I don't...wanna...push you..." he plucked at a thread on his rope belt.

As Abie told him all of a sudden that next time Incanthis could pin him the Shifter's face was instantly flushed, his eyes going quite wide, and he opened his mouth... but no words came out. Instead he seemed to stutter and choke, trying and failing to speak. He should be the one to do the pinning? He wasn't sure if he could do that... not only was he uncertain if he was capable of such a thing but the idea of randomly pinning Abie out of no where seemed a little mean. Besides, wasn't he far too young for such things? He should be flirting with girls or boys his own age, not someone like Incanthis. That was something he'd even told him before but it seemed that he was rather determined, wasn't he?

Crossing his arms over his chest the flushed Shifter looked away from Abie... and left himself completely open for the kiss on the cheek that he got after claiming he wouldn't mind if Incan wanted to pin him some day. It was really confusing, really embarrassing, and not something that Incanthis ever thought that he would be up to... and yet a part of his mind, the most basic part, had perked at the idea. That was the part of him he tried to push aside, not wanting to even consider it.

Looking back at Abie finally he said, "I just... I don't know... I..." He trailed off before shaking his head rapidly, his flush returning once more. He was feeling a bit like a stupid teenager at the moment and it was something that he didn't like because he felt that he was far too old for such things!

Abie smiled softly as he saw Incanthis a bit flustered. He reached out to gently tug the other. "Lets go lay down with the whelps? Maybe a small nap will help." he suggested as he looked to the small group. Lithe heard the youth and slithered his way to lay mostly on top of Junior as if trying to keep the other from getting between the two males. Abie looked at the whelps making a face. "Lithe...is being weird..."

Incanthis gave a soft sigh, rather wishing at the moment that he was younger... and maybe a little less broken... if that were the case then maybe he'd be more suited to someone kind like Abie? A thought that he brushed aside quickly, not wanting to stew over things that couldn't be changed. Instead he needed to try to get better about the him he was now. There were times of late where he could actually forget for a moment about the past, to think instead on the present and the future, and in a good light too. That was what he needed to do a lot more of.

Turning to look at Abie as he commented about Lithe being 'weird' he walked over to the pile of whelps, taking one knee, and lifted a hand up to let it hover in front of Lithe for a moment. After a time he said, "I don't feel any illness or wounds... so I think maybe he's just trying to make his brothers behave even though he's so cute and tiny?" Reaching out he scratched Lithe gently between his eyes then pushed back to his feet, moving back toward Abie, moving a bit more slowly. Why was it so much easier to deal with a pile of toothy reptiles then it was to deal with one Matorian teen? That he would never know...

Abie smiled as he walked over. Shifting a few limbs around the matorian laid on the blanket the whelps had covered. "Incan! I found the blanket!" he said popping up outta the pile. He waved the Shifter over, making sure Junior was near them when he laid back down. The youth stretched out feeling Laqui slip his tail under him. He chuckled.

Incanthis moved to lay down with Abie, one hand resting on Junior, using the growing whelp as a bit of a security item. He knew that it wasn't quite fair, what with the beast really belonging to Abie. He really should apologize for that... among many other things. He turned to look over at the one that was laying near to him, giving a little sigh as he did so, "I'm... sorry, Abie... I know that I can be difficult to deal with at times... and... I'm sorry that Junior is always sneaking off with me when he should be training with the others."

The fact that he also took Junior out for walks probably didn't help in that. He didn't want to be the cause of strike among the group of whelps but it seemed as though that might be the case. Junior did look as if he were fighting picking fights over him earlier. Not with just Laqui but Borqet and Lithe as well.

Lifting a hand up he rubbed it against his face, "I will do better to keep him from following me around so he can attend more lessons. It will be good for him, so that he will become a part of the group again."

Abie reached up to gently tug on Laqui's snout as the whelp stuck his nose into Junior's ear to be a brat. The youth looked at Incanthis, seeing the hand he shook his head. "Incan...If Junior picked you, he picked you. There's no way I'm going to impose my will on a beast who's bonded to another." he laid out smiling at the Shifter. "Besides, I feel sorta proud that it was through me you two met."

He looked up at Laqui's huff. "Oi...you don't give me lip about that. Junior is free to make his own choice in a master. I didn't expect all of you to listen to me...I'm glad that expectation was met. Would make me training you brats way too easy." he smirked.

Incanthis gave a little humming sound as he let his eyes close, "I... guess... I still feel a little bad about it." He murmured as his hand lightly pet Junior before he opened his eyes, looking over at Abie, "Well, even if you are alright with him choosing me I still think it would be good for him to train with others. So long as you are alright with that?" Best that he made sure that Junior was welcome along first. He didn't want the emerald whelp to cause trouble among his siblings after all. Especially Laqui who didn't seem to approve for what Junior was up to.

Looking at Junior who was grumbling at Laqui who was huffing at him he gave a little shake of his head, "Junior, you be nice, alright? I don't want you getting kicked out of the group." He said, giving the top of his head a pat.

Abie chuckled. "It'll be fine...they gotta get used to the idea that they'll all bond differently with not only me...but each other. Laofay said that a few of his Janarim are more obeidiant with Orroi than him. True that causes some issues with their litter mates at first but everyone adjusted." as he spoke the youth yawned and snuggled a little into Incanthis' side. He was tired. Wanting to sleep and above all...needy. He wanted warmth. The youth nearly closed his eyes before Lithe nudged him closer to Incanthis, draping his slender tail over the pair to keep them warm.

Abie chuckled. "Thanks Lithe..."

Incanthis gave a nod of his head, glancing toward Junior, before scratching him gently under the chin. It would be alright he told himself, he didn't have to worry because Abie said so. The last thing that he wanted was to cause some sort of rift between the various siblings. Knowing that it was something that was natural, for them to bond to different people, put him at ease a bit. Now, if only he could be at ease with everything else as easily. Everything else was stuff that he had to work on himself though, which made it a bit more difficult since that meant building up his courage... something that was fairly difficult for someone like Incanthis who was a bit of a scaredy perzi at times.

He gave Abie a glance as the younger man scooted closer to him, looking as though he were able to fall asleep. Probably a good thing since he'd had a long day meaning that Abie could really use the nap. Using his other hand to pat Abie on the head he said in his normal, soothing tone of voice, "Get some rest, Abie." Now that everything was back the way it should be, and he was no longer being startled by the accidental tackle, he was able to return to his normal self. That meant looking after others, Abie in particular since he'd had such a rough go today.

Abie nodded as he slowly but surely slipped into sleep. The youth's breathing evened out as he shifted to a position that Incan would know as his 'if you need snuggles I'm ready'. Laqui and the other whelps settling around them, offering warmth as well as protection from being seen.
