Mano - Post 3

Mano glanced from one side, then to another, before he turned back to Kyrian, "Well, we will have to see how it goes. It seems that a lot of people are going out on boats..." He gave a humming sound, wondering if it was possible for him to borrow a boat? He clapped his hands together, "Yes, yes! That's it! We should find a team that wants to fish with us and we can borrow a boat! Wait... can you swim, Honey? I don't want my adorable little musician to be at risk if we go out on a boat."

Giving a thoughtful sound he said, "You might have to stay on the boat but I can go into the water to spear fish when we are out. First though..." He turned and called out, "Hey! My Honey and I are looking for a fishing team! Anyone cuties out there want to join us!" He was fine with whoever might want to go, but he knew if they were going to borrow a boat they would need more then just the two of them since he felt bad about the idea of leaving Kyrian alone on the boat while he dove too spear fish.

(( Anyone can feel free to come along! ))

Alassiel Post 1

Alassiel watched as Z’ren went to place the small handmade trinkets they’d made into the boats before he returned by her side. His year they were spending the festival in Matori, next year it would be back in Juahar with her family. They alternated between their two homes but Alassiel had always rather liked the Matori tradition a touch more. She didn’t know why, it felt a lot livelier in her opinion. Needless to say, she still enjoyed both but she cherished these moments a little more. Next year though she’d get to go home and see family and that was always nice.

“I’m going to go and see if I can’t find V’dem, I know you said you wanted to see some of your buddies.” Giving her Matori husband a quick kiss, Alassiel left his side and sought out the tall Alkidike. She spotted her easily and headed over to her giving V’dem a small wave in the process. “Good day to you,” she said to all four gathered in their group.

Ziel Post 1

Ziel watched her parents before turning to attention to the others; recently she’d been contemplating a lot of things. Mainly, which path she would be walking and why, her mother hadn’t really placed much importance to it. She’d always said that Ziel would end up good with a weapon and that was it, she’d practice and find her calling. The problem was that weapons just didn’t feel right in her hands; she felt more like some inner pulling. Something she couldn’t explain and hadn’t bothered telling her mother about. She felt silly for it, was waiting for perhaps the right weapon to come along.

As Alassiel said her brief goodbyes to find V’dem, Ziel followed behind her silently. She was a bit broody today, which was unlike her but perhaps the festival was bringing that side of her out a little more. Once they would the group, Ziel when to Masika’s side and stayed quiet to contemplate. She kept one hear on their conversation, but her eyes were on everything else around them. Maybe once there were less people around, she would ask Masika for advice or at least see if her friend could offer some incite.

Eleina Post Two

She laughed when Masika said she thought that Eleina would've been in Oba. "It was hard picking between the two of them. But I almost always go to the Oban one with my mom. This one is just so much more lovely though."

She shook her head at the compliment. "We both look like pure perfection!" She laughed at her friend. They both did look very nice, then again almost everyone looked very nice. "Oh I can't wait to see all the shops that pop up! People bring their best kind of things to sell to these events."

When Ziel and Alassiel joined their little group. It seemed like there was always a group of different kinds of people around V'demhe. It was nice really and something she admired about the woman.

V'demhe Post 3

Hearing Draven say that he was hungry made her frown. Had she been in that much of a rush that she had forgotten to make sure the boy had eaten? Dem sighed and felt a bit of guilt. She had wanted to make sure Masika hadn't gone out by herself so she had gotten everyone up and out of the house long before things had been taken care of. "I forgot to let everyone eat." It was about then that Eleina appeared and she nodded to the girl. She was always welcome to stay with the group. At least in her eyes as well as her daughters. "Good to see you Eleina. I hope I won't be needed to threaten any suitors today." Dem made the comment mostly as a good natured joke, but seeing that the hybrid was dressed in her finest the Alk thought her words may just come true.

Giving Draven her attention again she took on a motherly air. Her expression showed true worry that he would wither away if he didn't find something to fill his belly. So V'demhe reached out and stroked Tanou as she spoke. "Draven, dear, why don't you and Regale go find some food. Tanou will follow you so I can find you or if you need to find us. Alright?" The pink radaku leaned into Dem's hand as it received the petting but once it heard that it was to follow the boy and his beast it seemed to circle the tall Alkidike's legs. The fact that she'd chosen Tanou rather than Maha to follow her son showed that she was giving him his space as well as a bit of consideration to Regale, since the blue radaku would more than likely try to play some sort of game.

Before she could say anything farther she caught sight of a familiar shifter making her way toward them. Alessiel. "Good day as well. I take it you and your daughter will be joining us for the festivities?" There was a smile on her face as she asked. V'demhe had come to rather like the shifter woman. Even her daughter, who was sometimes a handful. But when Dem looked at Ziel now she noticed that the girl seemed upset or at the very least, bothered by something. So she stared for a moment to see if there were any signs of what that might be before she looked to the girl's mother. "Is everything alright?"

If Draven left the group to find food as he wished then Tanou would follow.

Masika Post 3

A large grin plastered itself on her face as she spoke with Eleina. Of course the older girl would simply combine the two compliments to make it so that they were both lovely. The mention of shops had her attention though. "Muma gave me a purse to spend! I can't wait!" Masika would be dangerous if let loose in a large city shopping district. However, her mother had allowed her to have a small coin purse of her own that she could do with as she pleased. With everything going through her mind at once she wasn't sure what she would choose.

Her antennae gave a small quiver when she heard her mother say that she would send one of her radaku with Draven. The blue hybrid thought that odd until she caught the last words. It was just in case they needed to find one another. So Masika gave her brother a small pouting look. "Lucky. Muma is letting you go wherever you want in this crowd." Not that she didn't think for a second that her mother wouldn't break some bones if she even thought Draven was in trouble.

Her small pout would be interrupted when Ziel appeared. Masika smiled at her but noticed she seemed to be in a mood. "Oh! Ziel, what's wrong?" It wouldn't do to have her happy and joyous friend feeling down during such an event.

Kyrian- Post 3

Kyrian didn't really see anyone walking up to volunteer to join them. He leaned close to Mano going up on his tip toes to give the Water male a kiss to his cheek. "There's a rather large group over there.." he nodded to what looked like either a very oddly mixed family. Or a good group of friends... "Did you want to go over to them to see if they wanted to join us?"

Toriu looked to the group as well. Seemingly ready to leap. Kyrian put a hand on the Radaku without thinking, just feeling the other was about to do something.

Kani Post 2

Kani spotted the girl, but it took her a moment to realize that she really was just standing there. There wasn't much going on around her at the moment of course, but interacting with others and sharing the time they had was half the fun of the festival. Taking it upon herself to see just what the younger girl was doing, she marched on over and stood in front of her.

"Hey there, you look a bit lost. Are you wanting to join in on the festivities?" She was another Matori like her so she assumed she would know about everything and what to do, but one could never be too sure.

Besaji Docks: Dawn

Things were starting to come together. The tables were covered with dishes to be passed around, and the grilling areas were beginning to be filled with fuel so they would burn. Younglings laughed and played while their parents worked, and the entire atmosphere was filled with good spirits and celebration.

At sea, fisherman were joking together as they continued to catch their bounty, working together to bring in as much as they could. It didn't not matter what village they came from, or if they even were of Matori origin, everyone was working together to honor Len and prepare for the feast in the evening.

It would only be a little longer until the sun set against the western lands, the glare would signal that they would need to return to land where the grills would finally be lit and waiting. But for now, it was all about working together to make this the most memorable celebration to date.

[ The next NPC post will move time forward to Twilight, when the feast begins. ]

Mano - Post 4

After a few failed attempts to find a group that wasn't already promised to help out one boat or another Mano would find himself at the Besaji docks and he found himself just standing there for a long while in silence. It had been some time since he'd had his feet on a proper dock like this, looking out over the ocean, and he found himself overwhelmed by a wave of nostalgia. He used to fish with his father from places like this, learned to swim from places like this, and it made him miss his family that much more. It seemed as though he wasn't meant to find them, meaning that they were likely 'gone'. Even if that were the case he was glad that he'd come this far.

Turning slowly he looked over at Kyrian and gave him a lopsided smile, "I'm glad that you came with me. I fear that things might have felt too lonely if I came alone, even in a crowd this big." He told him, lifting a hand to ruffle his hair, "Thank you, Honey."

Turning back to the water he started to walk along it, looking into the clear ocean water, "The fish won't be right by the dock, not with all the commotion that is going on. Do we want to walk along the beach? Look for a place we can start fishing from? I hear the meal with start soon and I would like to bring something back." He'd feel better about partaking in the various things that the other fishers brought back if he brought something as well.

Kyrian- Post 4

Honestly, the small wind male wasn't too pressed to join up with others. The crowds were large...sorta scary as the bard thought about it. He stood near Mano as the other looked out over the waters from the docks. The view was amazing. Kyrian stepped up a little closer to the other. Linking his arms around one of Mano's arms the bard leaned his head on the others shoulders. "I'm glad you've showed me this...this is incredible."

He giggled as the other ruffled his hair. Then nodded. "I like that idea." he looked ahead of them on the beach. "I think I see a cove ahead...should be isolated enough. Right?"

Draven Post 3

[[ REALLY sorry to those that tagged me and I hadn't replied. xD Work was killing me. ]]

The crowd around him started to thicken, more people started showing up and this caused the Janarim to stiffen. Draven looked towards Regale, it was probably time that they did wander off on their own. Loose crowds or just with Dem and fam was fine, but this was getting to be much.

"I think finding food might be a good idea. Regale is starting to get edgy.." Draven agreed before reaching up to tug on a curved horn. "Come on you, lets find something to eat."

Regale snorted as his attention was turned away from the growing throng of people around him, those that pulled in close to talk to Den and her daughter. Turning away the beast followed Draven to another section of the main gathering area. Keeping close to his charge, Regale kept an eye behind him before looking forward again.

Draven gave a sigh as he wandered away from the rest. he was starving, his hair still a bit of a mess, but he had tried getting it as tamed as possible without a brush. For the most part it was in place, just not tied back yet. He would have to get Masika to tackle it later when there weren't so many hanging together or something. He didn't want to look like a mess when the feast truly started.

"now lets see if we can't find you something." Draven muttered looking over the vendors and small game stands. They would find something, eventually.

[Draven is open for other interaction. ^^ ]

Mano - Post 5

Mano's eyes went a bit wide, his fin like ears giving a twitch at the mention of the 'isolated cove' since his mind instantly wandered away from fishing to other things. He shook his head, trying to focus, before he said, "We will definitely head there soon... but I think we might want to stick closer to the festival. If we wander off now we might get distracted and get no fishing done, Honey." Not that he exactly minded that much, but since it was his first festival in Matori he felt he should actually participate a bit.

Still, Kyrian's offer was a really nice one too, wasn't it? Giving a toothy grin he said, "Once the festival is over we should definitely find a nice, isolated cove, and set up camp there. We can just hang out for a while, soak up the sun, and enjoy ourselves! I wouldn't mind sticking around for a bit if you're alright with it?"

With that he started forward, off the docks, and down onto the beach. The sand felt good against his bare feet, allowing him to really feel at home. He stood there a moment, wiggling his toes in the sand, before starting forward to water, stepping into it. It too was a welcoming feeling as he hadn't been able to swim and fish since he was in Jauhar. He was actually really looking forward to diving in and using his trident to spear some fish.

Kyrian- Post 5

Kyrian knew full well where Mano's mind had gone. Blushing the small wind male nodded. "I wouldn't mind camping out here for a bit...maybe a bit further away from a settlement..." just in case. Kyrian wasn't exactly the most silent of lovers. As he watched the other, the wind male slipped off his own boots. Curious how sand actually---OH WOW THAT WAS COOL!!! He let out a squeak as he felt the cool sand on his feet. Turning to put his boots in the side bag on Toriu. He watched the Matori male step into the waters. Again, curious he took a few timid steps before the water splashed his feet.

"Whoa! That's cold!" he skittered back to the sand. Chuckling as Toriu skittered back as he had also gotten near the water. The Radaku let out a yip to the two earthlings as if in protest of the water. Kyrian shook his head. "I don't know how to swim...so we have to work on fixing that." Who knew...perhaps he would have a joy for swimming and want to settle down in Matori when Mano was ready.

Mano - Post 6

"Yeah, I am sure with a bit of exploring we can find a place that suits our needs." One that was close enough to a town that they could get needed supplies but far enough away that they got to keep their privacy. Giving a smile he moved to wade into the water, it was cold, but not nearly as cold as the waters around Tale and Jauhar. As such he was only too happy to head into the water up to his waist, pausing only when Kyrian mentioned that he didn't know how to swim and that they would have to fix it.

Turning to him Mano couldn't help but to look surprised, "Really?" He supposed, given that he had traveled in Sauti, that it wasn't a place that called for a lot of swimming expertise, huh? Tale and Jauhar had a lot more access to water to swim in, but even those places weren't like Matori where it was a necessity to know how to swim. Giving a nod of his head he said, "Don't worry, Honey, we will work on it and have you swimming like a fish in no time!"

"For now though..." He dove in, unable to resist the call of the ocean any longer. It had been far too long since he'd been able to swim or fish and he meant to do both in bulk during the festival.
