Introspective solo for personal use - trigger warnings.
Zac had, during the course of his life imagined dying a great many ways. Hanging was one of those that came rather frequently to mind, he wasn’t sure he could ever do it though, the idea of messing it up, making it long and painful was not a good one. Or …being found with eyes protruding and tongue swollen? He thought, or liked to think he was more considerate than that. Still, he knew there were ways to make it quicker, more peaceful, that didn’t even involve a drop. He thought about those sometimes when he sat and stared at metal railings, doorframes… mundane objects.
He thought about knives too, being so readily available it was hard not to. He could do what the spider did, if he placed it correctly. He could, angles was the trick right? Hit the right things but try and miss the ribs?
After the ball though, oh, well, after the ball he had a very, very clear idea of what to do with knives, two to be fair. He wet his lips when he thought about it, a sort of dull feeling that settled in his shoulders and a buzzing in his ears.
He thought both these methods would be more effective than the pills he’d taken. Of course, he’d been a kid then, he hadn’t done much more research than he needed to. He’d come close, but… Jer.
His stomach twisted as he remembered the expression, he feel of a hand against his own, fingers pressing against his pulse.
Zac thought a lot about dying…
But he tried not to.

you now have the honor of completing the the stars have fallen challenge. to complete this most excellent quest and unlock the powers that lie within, you must complete these requirements. a solo (750 words) of Zac wandering other ashdown and realizing something is following him. a DM RP wherein Zac later returns to other ashdown and learns what has been stalking him. a pair (2) RPs with Zac and another dreamer dealing with the repercussions of what is happening to him. a DM RP of Zac back in other ashdown. a solo (1000 words) of Zac and the aftermath of what has happened.
in exchange, your character will unlock the following power:
THE LOST STARS - A tattoo now exists along Zac’s collarbone of eight stars chained together in a galaxy cloud. Zac can ‘share’ these stars with another, the tattoo finding a place on the other’s body, and it enables him to have a loose awareness of where that person is at any given time (it will give him a feeling of vicinity the closer he gets to them but not an exact location). It also lets him know if that person is in danger of safe (this is only triggered by the person’s perception; if they do not feel as if they are in danger, it cannot be sensed).

the determined querent. » high concept » Zac is always looking for more answers, answers about everything. Part of this drives his fundamental love of books, as they are wonderful ways to find information about the world, but there are many more ways to find answers and as such, he seeks answers out wherever a clear opportunity seems to present itself.
does not compute. » trouble » Zac very much wants people to make sense, and sometimes the fact that they don’t ... because of any reason from emotions to personal experience, he can be frustrated. Making faces, exasperated sighs, long stares that pass well into the ‘uncomfortable and judging’ zone. While he tries to be patient - it’s hard for people to put up with HIM if he all but slams his head off a desk because he has a limited tolerance for things that are based on anything that doesn’t feel solid to him, or well thought out.
It can also be hard to deal with someone, anyone really who tries, too hard sometimes, to make you look at things in rather a different way.
Needless to say, people might need more patience than Zac himself demonstrates at times.
just so you know. » additional info » For all that he can be an irritating person to deal with - he loves being gone to for questions. You will sometimes be presented with too much information if you seek him out, and to be honest he might follow up with you to make sure you don’t need anything further that he’s dug up since you first asked him. Zac currently works at a certain Bookstore for His College professor too.
Zac is 18; 5'6" give or take; naturally black hair with some part of it perpetually dyed a blueish purple; has been practicing violin since he was very young and has an excellent ear for it; is honestly better at singing but loathes to do so because he thinks it doesn't fit who he is or who he wants to present himself as.
Non-binary; he's comfortable with being addressed primarily as male but he'll respond as easily to other pronouns. He will, despite his own casual feelings towards gender, defend anyone else's right to use pronouns they choose.
He will choose clothes primarily based on comfort but some things like his star boots or the galaxy leggings are his go to clothes for days that just need a little more fun in them. Combine them with oversized shirts and chunky bracelets and he's off and running!
