SwordOfTheDarkOnes

"I have two nephews, Aysun along with his older twin Chandra. Aysun is the more... 'wild' twin while Chandra is more like my own mate, a magic using sort that always has one book or another in hand." He glanced back at the young man for a moment, then forward once more, "The twins are sons to my only sibling, my sister Keilana, who's quite powerful and wild herself, then there is my mate and daughter, both who mean the world to me. I am hoping to take them on a trip soon." They were the reason he was working so hard, because he wanted to make sure everything was prepared for Yera before he brought them on a vacation. It was something that Jacinthus felt that he needed after so many battles that he'd gone through.

Giving a glance to the side at the young man he asked, "And yourself?" Wondering if the boy was alone, without a family, and that was why he traveling with a handful of giant beasts instead. The thought wasn't one that sat well with him since the boy looked as though he appeared to be the same age as his daughter was. He didn't want his daughter to be lonely so he found himself worried that this boy might be. A thought he brushed aside, feeling he shouldn't fret over everyone he came across, nor should he push them all toward a place where they could find a job. Were he in charge of Yera, maybe, but since he wasn't, he should try to sit on his hands as difficult as it was.

Issaly blinked before he nodded. "Sounds like a nice family..." he tilted his head 'mate'...was the other male's chosen partner a male as well. He never really heard them referred to as such. Then again, this elder seemed more akin to mother nature than he was. He looked down at his calf, one day he would be able to take care of that on his own. He looked at Saalin's back.

"I...I only have an elder brother. For sure. I'm looking for others, four of them. The only information I have is that we all bear the same circle on our foreheads." He brushed back his bangs to show the elder male. "That's it...the brother who raised me confirmed that I shouldn't hold out for hope on seeing my parents. Mother died bringing me into this world...Father died at the tail end of the Oban War." He let out a soft sigh. "Right now, I'm alone. I'm looking for my elders..."

Jacinthus nodded his head, "Yeah, it really is." So long as one didn't consider the father of his nephews... that annoying guy, how he enjoyed their sparring matches if only because he got to punch that guy in the face he thought to himself idly. Shaking his head he continued forward, listening to what the boy was saying. It seemed that he was in fact alone? He tried to keep himself from talking, to keep the words to himself, but it didn't last long before he said, "Well, if you need a place to stay I am sure those of Yera can provide." Though if he stayed and Aysun arrived that would be a rather large mess of beasts roaming around, not something Jacinthus wanted to think about too hard.

He gave a little cough before he said, " Either way I will keep an eye out for any others with the same circle of stones." It must be a rare trait if it was a way of identifying his brothers he thought to himself, giving a thoughtful hum. He supposed that he could keep an eye out even if the boy decided that he wasn't going to stick around Yera for long. If he did, and Jacin spotted someone with the crystal ring, then he could send them to Yera, and if he didn't then he could send the person in the direction the Shifter had gone.

Lifting a hand Jacin said, "That is Yera up ahead, we will stop at the edge where you can see the small group gathered, unload the witu, and get to work with the butchering of the various kills."

Issaly blinked. "Ah. Thank you. That's kind of you. I would love to see Aysun again." the male was one of the first Issaly had met on his own. It would be nice to see him again and maybe go on another adventure. He smiled softly as he petted Saalin's scales. The beast glancing up at his master once before stifling a snicker. Issaly spaced was pretty entertaining.

Issaly looked up and nodded. He couldn't wait to see what information a new healer could give him on his journey. He'd have to ask a lot of questions. Not exactly thrilled about the prospect of seeing more blood he nodded stiffly.

"I wouldn't say nice per say, I just know that there are those who would benefit for having a place in Yera and people who can make Yera stronger if they stay. Hunters, healers, and the like for instance. What about you? What are you thinking of doing in the future?" He found himself asking curiously, wondering if he meant to be a rider or beast master given the mass of pets that were following along after him. Given his interesting in Aysun it might be the case since the boy was training to be a rider himself, "Aysun stops by on occasion, when he needs to resupply. It's... quite the fiasco, one that all the younglings seem to love at least."

It wasn't long before the group of them reached where Jacinthus's students were waiting, already working on the aldabuk, skinning the lot of them out. At least they had been doing so before Jacinthus, though more over Issaly and his followers, appeared. Jacinthus waved them back to work, which after a bit more starring they did. They knew the first part of the skinning process, though he would need to show them how to prepare the skins so they could turn them into either leather or blankets, depending what the group wanted to use them for.

Coming to a halt he called out to them, "We have a couple of witu to add to the pile." Turning back to Issaly he said, "I will move the witu, then you." He said, going to take the witu down from the beast's back, handing one to each student, before going to fetch Issaly next.

Issaly giggled, a musical sound indeed. "A Healer, not sure about the end game. Right now I'm focusing more on herbs and how they affect the body. Its interesting how a simple tea can help you clear your head or ease into meditation quicker." he hummed as they came closer to the students. Keeping a gentle hand on Saalin's scales as the Snaptrotter got nervous. Being on display did that for the poor thing.

"As soon as you get me down, Saalin has to return to the woods and go back to the bags i left back there. He's...not good with being the center of attention like this. He was apart of a cruel ring before I got him." Issaly explained quietly. As soon as his feet touched the ground he hobbled to grab the large maw of the beast. "Saalin." he pressed his forehead against the large beasts. "Easy. When I let go...go back to Ullyee...leave a trail for Abysio to follow. Okay?"

Two blinks from the narrow eyes, earned a gentle smile. He had learned to read his companions after spending a solid month with each early on. Letting go the reptile hightailed it. Abysio coming up to Issaly's side with a low huff. Issaly elbowed the beast. "You hush."

Jacin turned to glance at the boy, raising an eyebrow as he explained, and found himself wondering for a moment if this were some sort of set up. Was someone messing with him by sending him a young Shifter who had similar goals in life to Takoda? Surely not, it was just some sort of strange coincidence was all he decided, "My mate has some books of that nature, I can see if there are any you can borrow to read over while you recover." He said after a moment, feeling that him getting some rest would be for the best. He was no healer himself but as someone who'd been bitten by a witu in the past he knew that it could take time for such wounds to heal... and if he wanted to meet with Aysun he might be waiting for a bit anyway.

"If you need to send the beasts on their way feel free. Best that they aren't around a crowd if its not something they can handle." He didn't want his students put at risk because one of the Shifter's beasts couldn't handle attention. His students were important to him and to Yera after all and if one of the beasts went feral and tried to hurt someone he'd put the beast down without hesitation. Not something he'd voice though, not wanting to upset someone that was already injured.

Picking up Issaly once more after he'd deat with his beasts he moved him to where his students, mostly Leaf Tribe members, with a Shifter, and a mix of the two tribes waited, he said, "Alright, all of you, it's time to get to work. It's getting late as it is and we want to get this meat handed out quickly so that people will have something good and filling for dinner." He told them, giving Issaly a glance and said, "We see to it that those too young or old to hunt, those without families to help them out, are fed. Given that, save for the bite wound, you are able bodied you can help out and earn your share that way." No reason to spoil the boy just because he'd hurt his ankle.

Issaly nodded. Seeing twitches in the Janarim he gave the beast a pointed look. "Abysio...go over there and lay down." He pointed to a spot off to the side. One that was out of the way. "Stay." The beast huffed but did as he was told. The Shifter sighing..."Okay. Don't mind him, he's just my ride back to the others. Ah...another healer. Great! I look forward to the chance to meet him. I haven't met another healer since I started this journey."

He tilted his head. "So...what did you need me to do?"

Jacinthus gave the Oban beast a glance, watching as it went to go lay down out of the way, before turning back to Issaly once more, "Yes, we will see about setting up a meeting. I am sure that Takoda can take care of that wound of yours if you'd like? So long as he's not busy with the various students that he's been helping to teach magic to these days." He had a lot going on but maybe he'd be able to chat with Issaly a bit? Since the two did have a shared interest in herbs.

"Now, time for work." Digging into his pack before setting it aside he gave one of his two knives over to Issaly and said, "We are going to skin the witu and aldabuk, then see about butchering them out. I will be showing everything the best technique so as not to waste any of the meat. Each bit is precious after all." He said this loudly, so all his students would hear him, "First things first though, the skinning."

Once he made sure everyone had their knives, and had eyes on him, he set to work showing them how to go about the process in the swiftest, neatest way possible. The night would be a long and busy one, but worth it in the eyes of Jacinthus... and he hoped his students would feel the same.
