"Uh, thanks..." He muttered, not quite sure how to take the compliment. Usually people were poking fun at him for it and making chess references. Her gentle squeeze was a little awkward for him, but not rejected.
"Yeah, myself and some other survivors stuck around there. Turns out it makes a semi-descent fortress." Not really, but they were alive still. "Its going about as much as you could expect I guess. We're hanging in there, but supplies are dropping daily." He admitted, not wanting to get into too many details, should they turn out to be a rival force against them.

When Alex turned to him, he was met with a flat stare. "Supplies, most likely. The place is being picked clean." He stated with a shrug, having told the woman the same thing. It was likely that other factions were facing much of the same.

Now he just glowered at the man. "I'd sooner give them to the undying than betray my friends. Especially if it meant giving them to you." He made a disgusted sound, and gave a light airy wave of dismissal, as he turned to leave. "Rorrow, I'm heading back. Be careful and get back safely, if you're coming later, 'kay?

Now it had been obvious from the start that things seemed to get pretty heated between the two boys, "now now.. no need to get hostile, you two," Juliette attempted with a calm and cheerful voice. Her hands were raised towards the two of them, almost like she wanted to break it up between them but... honestly probably wouldn't be able to if things erupted.
"Stealing supplies shouldn't be an option between all of us, we're all trying to survive after all, right? We shouldn't be enemies." She made an exaggerated sad face to the two of them and then turned to Rook. "Thank you so very much for answering my question, as well as Alex's." Her smile returned.
"If you are leaving, I hope you make it back safely, dear. Both of you."
