Eyphah set to doing a bit of pacing along the edge of the water, his glowing eyes flicking from side to side. It was clear that he was currently on guard, keeping an eye out for the dragons, to keep Nehelini safe, and keep Tallulah from being angry with him. Not as though it was his fault that the boy had pushed himself to far. It was the fault of whoever had been training him to this point. They'd done a piss poor job if you asked Eyphah, not that anyone really would. His opinions tended to be loud and very... well, opinionated. He would tell whoever trained him, those uncles that Tallulah had mentioned, exactly what he thought of the way they had raised the little whelp. He'd also tell them that the whelp would have been better off if Tallulah and himself had raised him, at least then he'd know what he was doing!
Grumbling to himself he gave paused, turning slowly to look at the boy who was sitting in the water, freezing it over to regain his powers it would seem. Must be an Aiskala thing he thought to himself. For Tallulah he would submerge himself under the water for a while, allow himself to get hydrated, and he'd start to feeling better. For this one it appeared as though what he needed to do was... freeze himself? The weaker clans were just that, weaker, and he needed to protect them. It made him wonder if something else that he needed to do was move them somewhere better for them, maybe a place that wasn't so hot? Eowyn was the home of his mother and her clan, Eyphah had always wanted to stay here, but if it wasn't good for Tallulah and Nehelini then maybe a change was in order? It was at least something to consider if the whelp decided to stay with them for a while this time around.
Giving a little click of his teeth the Diabi said, "You make yourself out to be weak with your words and you are going to remain ever weak if you keep that attitude. You need to me more like me, not whatever weakling trained you. You need to look at each battle as an opportunity to train, to get more powerful, and to get your claws on some glittering dragons orbs. If you just cry and say that you will be killed then you will. Believe me when I say that everything out here, the two of us included, are food for someone else."
Turning back toward the approaching shadows of the Gaili dragons that were on their way here, "Stay in the water, consider icing it over and hiding within the ice if you have to. I am going to finish off the stranglers, there are only a few, then I will get you back to Tallulah." He knew the Peisio dragon would be more sympathetic then he was when it came to Nehelini and his current mood. Eyphah knew he should do something akin to hugging him or patting him on the head but at the moment, what with some dragons approaching, there wasn't time for coddling. That could be saved for later, when the dragons were dead, the orbs were gathered, and the whelp was back in Tallulah's mothering arms he thought to himself as he charged forward to meet the dragons.

Nehelini felt his heart sink at Eyphah’s words. They served little to help ease his fears and doubts. Nodding mutely the youth heard the dragons coming towards them. Submerging himself completely in the water he let his ice leak out and freeze the water around him slowly. It was more of a meditative process than anything. He used the floating tips that Tallulah had just taught him as he slipped further into his magic. He was calm, serene….nothing was going to touch him. No one could reach him. He could not hear anything outside his world. As he let his magic build he was grateful for his training for one little fact. Under the stress and sometimes extremely emotional conditions his magic had adapted to regenerating quickly for him to unleash his anger or to get him centered. This was more of a get him back to his normal.
As he suspended himself in his ice he let his mind wander. What was he to Eyphah? Just another whelp. A interesting little past time to entertain Tallulah with? The Diabi male didn’t seem like the emotional type. More that Nehelini was under the impression that he was nothing more than a toy to the elder. He wasn’t anything Eyphah wanted to keep...not like he assumed the male wanted to keep Tallulah...speaking of Tallulah...what was he to that male? A simple whelp who needed a mother’s guidance? Nehelini didn’t want that. He wanted to be seen as a potential mate to Tallulah...perhaps even Eyphah if the Diabi wanted him. He just...knew. From the moment he left them and discovered all he was lacking. He knew that what he felt when thinking of them, he wanted to be of use to them. He wanted…he sighed mentally.
He wanted to protect them and be protected in turn. He wanted to trust them with everything, have that trust returned and somehow grasp happiness. He turned his head to watch Eyphah battle the dragons. The male truly was a sight. A bloody beauty which stole his breath away with every move…
A sudden movement off to the side diverted his attention. Nehelini watched in slow dawning horror as one dragon managed to sneak around the back. Coming up behind his Diabi. Nehleini’s body flew into autopilot as he blasted his ice outward. Muttering under his breath as the magic gathered.
“Form straight and true, follow the course of my will. Jam yourself through this lizard's tail.” he flicked his wrist as the ice shot forward in a growing ice pillar. It speared the tail as Nehelini slid to be back to back with the Diabi male. He threw up a ice wall before pushing it out to shatter and impale the dragon before him. He looked back to Eyphah. “You okay!?”
He stood there, half naked...most likely covered in any blood Eyphah might of just spilled. And all he wanted to know was if the Diabi male was okay. His body shivered as if he was cold, which he was. The sudden change of temperature was something he had yet to adjust to himself. He was still building that up. He shivered despite himself.
“Sorry about earlier. My confidence isn’t up to par with my knowledge. I know how to defend myself. I know I can fight...I just...I wasn’t given a strong partner to rely on. Someone who boosted me as much as I boosted them.” He explained not looking the other male in the eye. He let his smaller back fall on Eyphah as his adrenaline left him. “Man...I’m tired...Tallulah is going to scold me for this.”
He smiled with a soft chuckle.

Eyphah was aware, to a degree at least, of the dragon that was creeping around behind him but he felt the greater number that were in front of him were more dangerous. On top of that what were a few more scars? He already had a lot of them and it wasn't as though anyone he cared about seemed to find them unappealing, so he wasn't too worried. Instead his focus was on those in front of him, cutting them down, each in a most bloody fashion, as they got close enough to him. He had to deal with them quickly, so that he could get to the other one, preferably before it noticed that there was a little Dovaa whelp hiding under the ice not far from the battle ground.
Much to his surprise though the dragon behind him turned out not to be any sort of threat at all. Instead the creature was impaled and subsequently killed by some icy shards that burst forth from where Nehelini was standing. It would appears as though the little whelp wasn't as weak as he made himself out to be. Good, the boy wouldn't survive long if he was always hiding he thought to himself. Once he made sure that the other dragons that were before them had been dealt with he turned to look toward the little whelp, giving a slight shrug, "I am alright, only a few new wounds, but Tallulah will patch me up. He always does." He walked over toward the boy who was near to him, reaching a bloody hand out to pat him on the head, "I am impressed, you didn't just hide." It was a good thing, it showed that there was more to the whelp then met the eye.
"It's not your fault that you didn't have a good teacher. Tallulah and I will merely have to train you the right way is all." He said in a manner that dripped with Eyphah's own ego. He knew what was right, at least his version of right, and he would pass that on to the little whelp, "Stay." He said before he moved to gather up all of the orbs, finding there was quite a good number of them by the end. After a moment of looking around he gathered the clothing that belonged to Nehelini, tying them all together into a makeshift bag, and put all the orbs inside, "We will split them up when we get back." He told Nehelini, holding the bag in one hand and scooped up the whelp in the others.
Time to get them back to Tallulah so that the Peisio could look the two of them over and give any healing that might be needed.

Nehelini chuckled at the other male’s ego. Eyphah was entertainment on that end that was for sure. Listening he smiled. “Yeah. I did, have the wrong teacher. I don’t regret them because I did recieve the right magic training.” Belatedly realizing that he had left Pup in Tallulah’s care, Nehelini groaned. “I left my Ikri pup with Tallulah...most likely by now its waiting to chew my boots up. Great.”His current battle provided that much evidence to support his earlier words at least. He felt the pat and basked in it. It was praise from the older male, with it a large part of Nehelini felt vindicated for all his efforts. He heard the command and felt his knees give out as his adrenaline really left him. He let out a huff of air as he watched the older male. A submissive look to his shoulders and aura would make one think Nehelini expected something more out of this. He didn’t realize he had slipped into the posture only that he was at ease with it. He thought of Tallulah. For sure he and Eyphah would be patched up, Nehelini could feel his back was sore. There was a sluggish ooze of blood on his side. He swore that somewhere on his rear there was a small dragon claw. How it got there, he did not want to know. He shifted and stumbled to his feet as Eyphah came back. He made a small face at the fact that he would have to repair his vest and shirt now. Then mentally shrugged it off to wrap his arms around the taller male’s neck. Snuggling into Eyphah’s chest and warmth Nehelini cringed as he thought of the lecture to come. [word count: 3934]
