Orpheus Solon

Aqio blinked. "He slept deeply, as he continues to do now." the smaller of the two Matori males blinked once before stating bluntly. "Whatever reason you came here for. Chances are you'll be hunted once you leave here. Everyone around this area knows that Auntie is not to be trifled with. That being the case, your safe so long as your inside..." he trailed off as he felt Tiren shift. Pausing to allow the male to settle he waited till he looked up to speak again. "As I was saying. Stay inside. Safe."

Abie stood there for a moment before turning. He walked over to a small hearth and dished out three bowls. Getting a tray he balanced them, thinking the whole time. Incanthis could recover further at their home....their Mentor would let them bring him in. The male had said that each brother could ask for one thing. Neither of them had traded in for that. This could be his trade in. He glanced back to the two beds before walking back. Setting the tray down he held out a bowl for Incanthis. "You could recover at our home. Our Mentor wouldn't mind. Consider it. We know what its like to be hunted and not have a safe haven." he glanced to his twin who nodded. "We wanna help, if you want it."

Incanthis nodded, "I am glad to hear that, the pain he was in, as well as the fever, it made it so difficult for him to get any sort of rest before now." The fact that he was able to sleep so deeply now, it was a good thing, it meant that Tiren had a real chance of recovering completely. He could only hope that they were all able to get far from Muata so that Tiren wouldn't have to worry about the man's wrath falling upon him... or, well, anyone in the group of 'traitors' the Shifter thought to himself.

Turning to look at Aqio he seemed to be considering what he was saying before giving a slow shake of his head, "We can't do that. Staying here, it would be bothersome, would cause trouble for not only her but the two of you as well. Once we are back on our feet we will leave so that you don't have to worry about such things. You're all very kind people and the last thing that I want to do is cause you any trouble." Especially since it was trouble that Incanthis had brought down upon their heads. Lifting a hand he clutched it for a moment on his shoulder where his brand lay, his eyes squeezing shut. This was all his fault, he'd been too weak, and landed everyone here.

As Abie appeared before him, food in his hand, his eyes popped open, "Huh?" Recover at their home? His eyes went a little wide, looking as though he was considering the idea... before shaking his head, "I couldn't ask that of the you... it's just too much..." They shouldn't be put in danger because of him, enough people had already been put out because of him, he couldn't do that to even more people, it would be selfish.

Aqio remained silent as he thought. The Shifter was being reasonable. Whoever was after him must of been a warrior. If that was the case then their Mentor would be able to handle them and then some. Incanthis seemed like a good person, very straightforward. Though there seemed to be something off, maybe he was overthinking it. Incanthis seemed too...self loathing almost. Denying them like that seemed as if he was trying to punish himself. The only reason Aqio came to that conclusion was due to his brother. Abie was like that a long time ago. He would put distance between him and others...he still does. Though, he must of seen a little of himself in Incanthis. That's why Aqio saw his brothers jaw set. He started humming softly to Tiren. Remaining silent as he brother gathered his nerve.

Abie blinked. Recalling himself a long time ago. Incanthis was similar. "Your not asking it of us. We're offering. Incanthis please. Hear me out." he knelt next to the male's bed. "We've been in a similar hell. I know you can see the scars on me. I don't..." he inhaled softly. "I don't want to see you get hurt any more. Back then we didn't have someone to offer us help. Aqio found it. We promised each other that if we could help another...we would." he glanced to Incanthis' shoulder. "I know what its like to carry a burden like that. You'r not alone anymore Incanthis. Please...." he reached out to take Incanthis' hands. "Let us help?"

In the background the elderly healer stood, her gaze soft. In all her years of knowing these boys. To see Abie willingly reach out to another was reassuring. Aqio was more willing to offer aid than his twin, odd considering his intolerance of invasion of personal space. Abie was friendly, but she noticed the lad never instigated the contact. Not really. It was always a subtle gesture from his brother that would have him reacting. She stayed silent to hear Incanthis' reply...she had some information of her own for the boy.

Incanthis looked down at Abie as the young man knelt beside him, talking to him in a gentle manner that made him feel a bit like a child again. He listened as Abie spoke, telling him that they had known a similar hell, which drew Incanthis's eyes to the scars that Abie had on his person. He lifted a hand to stroke Abie's hair in a gentle manner, as though wanting to sooth him, in the same manner that he might do for one of his little brothers, "You really are a really kind young man, aren't you? You too, Aqio." He murmured, then gave them both a little smile as well, "Both of you, thank you."

"I... don't know what to say or to do. It's been a long time since I was dragged away from home by some Oban soldiers and now I just... I guess, I don't know what to do now." He murmured, sounding a bit embarrassed by that. He was a grown man and he really should be able to take care of himself and yet everything had been a bit stunted when he was taken away from his family by the Obans. He knew that it had been his choice, that it had been for his older brother and some younglings, but it had gone quite badly from there. This was a chance for something to go well though, right? He was being offered a hand up, one that could help him to leave the darkness behind and start to really live again.

Lowering his head, and drawing in a a breath he murmured, "I... yes, alright." He murmured, feeling that it was a chance that was being sent his way. They were holding out a hand to him and he just had to take that offered hand.

Abie smiled, then wrapped his arms around Incanthis' middle as he snuggled the older male. "Awesome!!!" he was oddly excited and happy about this turn of events. It was just something about the male that drew Abie to him. He shifted so that most of his upper body was in Incanthis' lap as he hugged the male's middle. He looked at the food. "You going to eat?"

Aqio shook his head. Honestly his brother was transparent. Aqio could see the emotions flitting through his brother's mind, even if his brother wasn't aware of it. He could always read his brother. So with that in mind he looked up to the elderly healer. He could tell she had something to say...

Auntie stepped out once Incanthis had eaten something. "I've seen those crystals on your forehead before, Incanthis. A pair of young brothers...they were brought to me by a Oban warrior. I believe their names were Isaris and Issaly. I sent them off with a Shifter Warrior named Sauron. Sauron took the boys to Jauhar from what I was told." she rambled as she busied herself with stirring the pot.

Incanthis starred down at Abie as the boy wrapped his arms around his middle, hugging him tightly. He continued to stroke his hair, finding the way the way the other boy was clinging to him to be quite cute. At the question posed to him Incanthis looked over at the food that had been brought to him a short time ago, giving a little nod of his head, "Yeah, I should probably eat." After Abie had started to talk with him about such a serious thing he had forgotten all about the food to be honest.

It might be a little complicated to eat with Abie still clinging him. After figuring out how to do that he set about eating the meal carefully, feeling that a good meal would hep in the healing process. Once his bowl was emptied, and he'd set it aside, his attention went to the one that the twins called 'Auntie'. He starred at her, his eyes going rather wide, "H-Huh?" Incanthis looked more then a little shocked over what she was saying, telling him that she'd seen two of her brothers, that they were brought in by an Oban warrior, and that they had gone back to Jauhar with someone named Sauron.

"I... I... see... thank you..." He murmured, words that he could barely get out as his mind whirled rapidly, almost dizzingly so. Issaly and Isaris had been here? They were safe then? Back home in Jauhar? He gave a slow nod and said in a hushed tone, "Thank you, for helping my baby brothers." Lifting his hands up to rub them against his eyes, trying and failing to wipe away the tears that were escaping from them.

Abie looked up and instantly shifted. He moved to wipe away the tears before brushing back a few strands of the shifter male's hair. He smiled. "Why don't we go to Jauhar with you once your recovered and we've prepared. We can all look for your baby brothers. I know I would turn this whole land upsidedown if Aqio was taken from me..."

Aqio blinked. "Charming sentiment brother, but Mentor would require we go with some assistance. So. The two of us would have to get stronger, that way we wouldn't slow down Incanthis."

Abie rolled his eyes. "I know that Aqio. I just know I wouldn't want to be left along trying to find my little brother. The more pairs of eyes seeking are better than nothing." he looked back at the shifter. "How does that sound? I'm sure they miss you just as much as you missed them..." He didn't know why he was saying all this...he just. Wanted Incanthis to live better he supposed. Perhaps by travelling with Incanthis they could find their own sibling.

Aqio caught on and spoke up. "It would benefit us as well...we were parted from our elder brother when we were small. If we travel with you we'll be more likely to find him. Or at least traces of him..."

Incanthis couldn't help the look of surprise on his face as Abie suddenly volunteered himself and his twin brother to go to Jauhar to try to find Issaly and Isaris. The two of them had been so little when he last saw them, making him wonder for a moment if they would even recognize him, if they would even want to meet with him, waht if they had heard about the way that he had helped Oban soliders in the past? Using the healing skills that their mother had taught him to serve the enemy, it wouldn't surprise him if it caused them to have an intense hatred of him. Was his brave enough to face any of his brothers? Probably not, he'd already proved his weakness in that area by fleeing the first time he'd crossed paths with some of his older brothers.

Giving a shaky sound he said, "I... it's kind of you... and I do want to see them... I just fear they wouldn't have use of me as I am..." He murmured in a hushed tone. He was glad to know that they were alive, that they were well, and that they were back in Jauhar but he feared facing them. Still, the pair seemed to want to help... though they spoke of wanting to get stronger as well, "Stronger? Oh, yes... you are getting to the age where you should be training and getting weapons, huh?" Perhaps when the two were armed they could seek out Incanthis's brothers? On top of that they seemed to be missing a brother as well.

"As kind as you have been to me, offering me aid in finding my brothers, it would be remiss of me not to offer the same thing in turn. If we do travel, we will look for your brother as well." He told the twins, feeling that if they were to get up the strength and nerve that they should go all out and find all of their missing brothers... though it might be a little harder on his end since they seemed to have one missing sibling while Incanthis had many.

Abie calmed down as he settled beside Incanthis on the bed. He was all smiles as he made sure the other male was free of tears. "So, its a goal then. We help each other find our brothers. Incanthis, I look forward to helping you settle back home. Mentor's a little silent, but you'd like his Companion." Abie said absently.

Aqio chuckled. "Thankfully your calming down. We can return home once Incanthis feels up to walking..."
