Jacinthus Post 1

"So those women are finally back to their old ways, huh?" He said, glancing over toward one of his least favorite people around, watching him a moment, before he looked away. He didn't much care for the shield carrier, the two of them had butted heads over everything since they were prentices, all of it stemming first from Takoda, then Keilana, and a few other things. He shifted in place for a moment before he said, "I think we should probably have a truce for now, huh? At least until the issues with the Alkidike are under control."

As such as he wasn't a fan of making friendly with the guy but given that they had a common enemy again. It seemed to be that every time they had a common enemy that they started to see eye to eye. It was like with the Obans during the war, now it was the same with the Alkidike, "I want to keep Yera, as well as everyone living in Yera, safe. As such I guess we can be friends... or at least as close to friends as they two of us ever are."

Jacinthus glanced over at the shield barer, one eye brow lifted, waiting on a response.

Chalcedony Post 1

It took a long moment from Chal to nod his head, agreeing with what was being said to him, "It's a bit of a pain, to think that they were at our sides when the Obans attacked but now their wanting to return to their old ways. It doesn't seem like its all of them though so I can't quite bring myself to hate them as a whole. The extremists though, those who want to drive everyone out of Jauhar and apparently want to take Sauti for whatever reason, those are the ones we need to watch out for."

He glanced in the way that he'd seen Aysun going a moment again, then back again, "We don't really get along during peace times but you're one of those I prefer to have at my side when things start to get hectic. At least I know where you stand, what matters to you, that sort of thing. As such sure, a truce until the Alkidike are dealt with is fine by me." As much as he hated to admit it he knew that Jacinthus was a forced to be reckoned with, because of this he would be only too happy to have him as an ally for the time being. They could go back to arguing and butting heads once things became peaceful again, as was their normal way of going about things.

Drexl Post 1

Drexl heard everyone and looked up to his Daddy. They were in his grandpa's house with their big brother and another youngling. He didn't know the child's proper name, but he was calling Sam "Papa" so that meant the child would be family. Or at least was already. The dark haired child walked over to his "nephew" he reached out to wrap two small arms around the other child.

"Come on Nim. Lets go nap with Ally and Lixy...we can also play if you want." He said honestly. the child looking back to his brothers. "Right...?"

Aysun Post 1

The majority of Aysun's beasts, especially the babies and those who were older, were currently staying with his aunts and uncles where they would be safe. With him he had Flower, who was sitting on his shoulder, Maw, who he was sitting on, and Sunshine who was walking alongside them. He saw no reason to bring anymore then the trio with him, mostly because unlike the others they wouldn't listen when it came to him telling them to stay home. They'd follow no matter what so he might as well just keep them at his side where he could keep his eyes on them.

Looking at Flower he said, "Pretty crazy, huh? Seems that we left Jauhar just in time... though I wonder why they care about Sauti? I hear its kind of boring there... maybe they know something we don't? Something strange treasure or fantastic beast? Dad told me once about a legendary beast he fought with in a mountain cave, maybe they are going after something like that?" Truth be told he'd be all over that if it weren't for the fact that they probably would rather kill him then let him help them tame a giant monster.

He heard one of the leaders mentioning something about the Alkidike women acting in a violent manner and he lifted a hand to rub his ribs. They were fine now, thanks to Teiluj, but he knew all about their violent tendencies that was for sure, "Let's hope that they just go shuffling off to Sauti instead of coming poking around here." It was crowded here, lots of people that they probabbly didn't want to fight, so it should be fine, right? At least that was what he hoped. Shaking his head he turned to look at Sunshine and shook his head, "Sunshine, quite squwaking at people. Be nice." He told her, leaning over to pat the fluffed up Kinfa on the head to calm her down.

Wyome Post 1
Wyome stood at a distance, not wanting to be any part of this discussion. If she voiced her opinion, there was sure to be trouble. The hybrid knew that she needed to grow a spine, probably more strength and the spine would come along with it. For now though, she stayed back, keeping close to a tree. It was odd, being so close to her original home yet so far away.

Her antennae twitched from the all of the stimuli. There was such a crowd for the discussion of another war or the faint possibility of peace. From her vantage point, she could only see the backs of peoples’ heads, even if she was a good head taller than most of them. But she could see the leaders clear as day. It was divided, though Wyome felt as though it would begin to sway in the direction of war, especially after what the shifters had to endure over the years.

Careele Post 1
Careele perched on a crystal formation close by, enough so he could hear what was being discussed, yet far away that he could mumble is opinion to the only ears that mattered, Siern’s. Not that he cared a bit, but it was a nice thought.

He had never believed that another war would come so soon. The war with the Oban felt like it was yesterday. “We need to help Sauti, but is a blockade the best idea?” the jungles were dense and the Alkidikes knew the territory just as well as the shifters who shared the trees with them. He wished he could talk to Tensu, see what it was like from her perspective or to even just talk. He missed his friend.

Rishima Post 1

Despite what time of year it was, the time that they should be gathering at home to celebrate, Rishima hadn't gone back. There was so much going on these days, tensions were so high, that he felt it might best that he didn't go. If he went he might be seen as intruding, which was the last thing that he wanted. He couldn't really say what he did want though, not when he was so confused as to everything going on. There were a lot of rumors swirling around about his sisters, about their wants and desires, their motives. A lot of the more outlandish things swirling about the mystic Aselia. He'd heard things about her that worried him, things like her leading their more 'traditional' sisters in their war against those who weren't of pure blood. It was something he prayed was merely a false rumor though.

Sighing a bit from where he was sitting at the moment Rishima glanced in the direction he knew the Great Mother to be in, hoping she'd forgive him for missing the festival. The last thing he wanted to do was be away but he was doing what felt right at the moment. He would see about visiting later when things were calmer, bring her a gift, apologize for missing such an important festival. For the time being he'd stay out of the way, unless need for him to act arose. It was important, at least to Rishima, that he try to remain peaceful and neutral, not wanting to appear as though he was taking sides. Given his age and rank it wouldn't due for him to take sides or to pick fights, not when what he really wanted was peace for his sisters no matter if they were pure or mixed as he was.

He should check on Gerraden, make sure he was doing alright, check in on Maya and her daughter to see how they were, as well as Jerarda and her family, Yaholo and his family, there were many things that he could be doing instead of worrying and fretting over missing one party. There was always next year he told himself and, if they were lucky, this whole mess would be cleared up by then. That was what he was going to hope and pray for he thought to himself, his antennae twitching rapidly as he glanced once more toward home before he forced himself to move from the spots he'd been in for too long. Best that he get to moving before he ended up taking root or something he told himself.

Lasarra - Post One
She was not happy, had not been all day. She tried to pretend, this was a part of her also, but she wasn't doing the best of jobs at it. All of her being wished to be with Aisha, with her sisters, but she knew that this wasn't the time for it. It wasn't safe, and plus she wasn't ready to leave Ray's side just yet.

She was disappointed in what she was hearing. Disappointed in her sisters. There had always been those with horrible ideas, such as taking over other lands, but the elders had always taken care of them. They always made it so that nothing horrible happened. "They don't go through with it. The elders will stop them." she said as she looked up at Ray. She wasn't sure this was the truth, but she hoped it was. She didn't want another war. She wanted a wedding and a house and children. War wouldn't be good for any of those things.

Niadra - Post One
She had been dancing all day, helping people ignore the negative cloud that seemed to hang over the festival. However now it seemed the time for dancing was over, and time for more serious discussions. She didn't like the idea of war, the first one she had been though had been less then ideal, but she didn't like the idea of the Alkidikes taking over either.

She spotted the hybrid Wyome and headed over towards the girl. "Hello, sucks our meeting isn't as festive this time around." she said with a frown. She looked up at the leaders and then back at Wyome. "What do you think? Do you think talking would help?"

Xariy Post 1

Xariy had been making her way back and forth between Sauti and Jauhar for months now. She had heard the rumors, seen people scatter about trying to leave or move closer in case of a fight. It was all a bit troubling to her. There were a lot more targets she could steal from now that everyone was focusing more on the ladies of the trees, but it was not the time nor the place for that. The leaders of the races here were asking in assistance with making the decisions. While Xariy was from neither place, she could definitely see the appeal in not going to war. They had just gotten out of one not too long ago. Talking to the Elders, as long as they would listen that is, seemed a better option than any other presented.

Wyome Post 2
“Ah! Hello Niadra,” she said with a wide smile, even with the surprise, “Yes, it is a shame that we couldn’t meet under better circumstances.” Wyome thought that she had seen the dancer previously, but wasn’t quite sure enough to chase after her. She didn’t want to stick out like a sore thumb with the mess that her kin was causing.

Glancing back up to the leaders, her smile faded, shaking her head, “Talking will only delay the inevitable.” It was the negative opinion, but she spoke from experience. Her mother had tried to talk to her sisters into accepting her family and ended up getting murdered. When the extremists got their mind onto a certain path, there was nothing to stop them. Not from killing someone that they marked as a traitor and not from from beginning a quest to claim what they thought was theirs, “Do you think it would truly help?”

Alassiel - Post #1

Traveling had given Alassiel quite a bit to think about, especially her voyage back home. She cared about her family and there was no way she was going to let any Alkidike touch a hair on any of their heads. She was stronger now, more abled. She would fight and she would defend her family to the end. Alassiel gripped her trident as she listened to the elders speaking, she wanted to go and help Sauti. Show the Alkidike they couldn’t just go around and bully the other races. The Shifter shook her head to clear her thoughts, she’d become so bitter about all these wars.

Ouen | 1

Yeah, he'd heard the rumours, and he hadn't doubted them for a moment. Ouen had grown up in war; he hadn't thought much about it when he was younger, preferring to stay away from the conflicts and continue his wild existence in the jungle -- but he accepted it.

War was a part of the world as he knew it. Some people attacked, others defended. As long as there was land, resources and titles worth taking, someone would try to take them. For those who stood to loose, defence was the only option. That was why so many of them carried arms and wore armour, wasn't it?

"I say we go to war!" He called out, leaning on his lance. "We're smack in the middle of Chibale and Sauti, what's to stop 'em from sweepin' us over if we bow an' let them pass all nicely? We gotta teach 'em a lesson 'bout stickin' their noses places it don't belong, first opportunity we get."

Juno | 1

"Sauti?" Juno quirked an eyebrow, finding this hard to believe. "They want to take Sauti? Of all places!"

He loved his homeland, sure... but compared to the bounty he had seen in Tale and Jauhar, Sauti was a wind-swept wasteland. He wasn't really sure why anyone would want to conquer it, especially when two nations sat between them and their home (that much he had gathered from his father's maps -- he hadn't actually seen an Alkidike, although he had spotted what he figured were half-breeds in the crowd already).

The thought of it made him laugh. Not that he doubted it would happen (people did strange things), but he sincerely doubted the severity of the outcome. So there'd be Alkidikes in Sauti. Who cared? There was room.

"I don't even think they'd stay, once they figured out what it's like."

Mano Post 1

So many people, so little time! Mano didn't even know where to start! He was looking from side to side, his golden eyes shining, as he went about scanning the crowd. There were so many people here, so many different tribes, some people with mixed blood, all of them ranging from handsome to sexy to beautiful and everywhere in between. It was his like his dream come true... to the point that the Water Tribesman had to pinch himself just to make sure that he wasn't dreaming. Owwie... nope, not dreaming, so all these pretties were in fact gathered in one place for his viewing pleasure.

He bounced for a moment before he started forward, looking from one side to the other, "Wow, wow, wow! Why didn't I think about coming to a festival sooner." He murmured to himself, offering a prayer up to all the Gods and Goddesses in thanks for leading him to this particular group. He listened for a moment, taking in what was being said around him, about the Alkidike starting problems. He wondered what was going on, why they were starting trouble, what they were after... and could they be worse then the Obans? A part of him doubted it, he'd spent a time in service to an Oban master and knew what they were capable of. He would need to keep an ear out and figure out what it was that was happening exactly...

At least that was what Mano had been thinking before he got once more distracted by another pretty face in the crowd. Alright, he'd figure it out later, after he got a bit of flirting in.

Rayolun post 1
Rayolun wrapped an arm about his wive's shoulder.

"There's only part of the alkidikes who want to go there... I'm sure that someone will stop them but... just in case..." He sighed. Why were they doing this? Were they just not content with the part of the jungle they'd already taken from the Shifters?
"We should at least prepare, it wouldn't be very honorable of us to not aid the Wind tribe when they did come to our aid with the Obans attack."

Xarn's Post 1

He looked around the crowd, already feeling the familiar panic of everything going wrong and knowing it would. Oh just great...he actually got separated from Darvish. And Torvaith. He grumbled, Darvish better be making sure the youngling stays in his sling. As the youth walked around he was impressed at the amount of people here there were various tribes and many hybrids. It was...heartwarming he decided as he saw younglings playing tag as they ran around their elders. He wasn't too concerned with finding his family group just yet. That could wait, right now...he wanted to just explore.

The youth sighed as he kept walking.

AMINAH POST 2

Aminah brushed her hands through Jhana's hair before pulling Jerami closer, giving him the other half of her lap. "We can all sit together."

She could hear the others in the crowd, some for helping, others wanting to just let them through. No doubt the idea of the extremists doing more damage in Jauhar was enough to sway many to the side of not helping.

She was pulled back to focus with the sound of both of her children's voices. "Ma will be back soon. Once the festivals are over, she'll be back and everything will be ok." She bit her lip with Jerami's question. She had no doubt in her mind that Jerarda would do everything she could to sway her Sisters the other way. To not go to Sauti. "No love, she's not going to Sauti. We don't know if anyone is going to Sauti yet." It was hard to explain what going to Sauti would mean for their family, or for their lives.

JHANA POST 2

Jhana scooted herself over to make room for Jerami before looking up to her mother's face. "Well good. I miss Ma and Shima. Next time I want to go too." She bounced in her spot and looked out over the crowd. "If no one's going to Sauti, why is everyone so upset?"

She pulled on a chunk of her hair and ran her fingers through it. She didn't really know what was going on, but it looked to her like Sauti was fun and everyone wanted to go, but they couldn't. It would make her upset too. Like how Shima got to go with Ma but Jhana didn't.
