Ponyta blinked. "No, I'm afraid not. We only came over here because Demon was getting restless," he admitted freely.
Demon stared curiously, listening silently to the conversation. So the little one had gotten separated from its pack? Deciding to help out, Demon sniffed the air, searching for any scents that didn't match the ones in the room, then pointed one clawed hand in the direction of Team Essence's room. "Fluffy-thing pack-scent go that way," he informed Katherine helpfully.
Meanwhile, the "fluffy-thing" in question stared up at the two new Pokémon with wide eyes, marveling at the Ponyta's sharp teeth and the Sandslash's large number of scars.

She hadn't exactly been surprised by Nightmare's response. There was nothing to make her believe that that either of them knew the team the room belonged to, aside from the fact that they had waltzed right in (but were apparently just "restless"), so the answer hardly even disappointed her. She did, however, stare at Demon in confusion. "Fluffy-thing pack-scent go that way" wasn't exactly the best... articulated of sentences. Or the most intelligible. She stared dumbly at Demon for a moment as the gears in her head turned until it finally clicked to her that he meant to say "I can smell the team room's smell over there."
At least that's what she thought he was saying. "You know where the team is?" She shifted her legs under her and in one quick motion she managed to lift herself off the ground without the aid of her hands. "Could you take me to where they are?"
Demon's "pointing" didn't help her much from where she had been sitting, given that she couldn't see outside of the room, but if Demon pointed again she would be able to head for the right room and unburden herself of her worry.

Demon nodded. "Smell fluffy-thing pack-scent," he confirmed, pleased that she seemed to get the general idea; a lot of Pokémon found him hard to understand for some reason. He didn't know why - he was certainly a lot clearer than some of the big words the smarter ones liked to use. Realizing she probably couldn't see where he was pointing, Demon led her to the doorway, then pointed again, this time allowing her to see the room he was indicating. "Fluffy-thing pack-scent go that way," he repeated patiently. The Swirlix babbled happily before starting to wiggle in Katherine's arms, obviously getting restless.

"Thank you!" Katherine was both happy and quick to voice her thanks, the former in relief and the latter in a sense of urgency. She didn't want to have to deal with the Swirlix much longer, not because she disliked it but because she simply didn't know how to take care of kids and she wanted to shed herself of the responsibility before anything happened. That was very much true especially now that it had started to squirm and become impatient so, with little ceremony, Katherine very quickly walked out of the door. She would have been gone in that moment if she hadn't stopped to turn and say, "It was nice meeting you both." before continuing off.((Continued here))

Demon blinked slowly. So that was one of the other packs living here? After a moment he shrugged and, realizing that he wasn't going to be getting a fight anytime soon, left as abruptly as he came in, an amused-looking Nightmare following behind him.
