The Q-Cave Team Oddball's Room
A simple, but homely room. Q's part of the room has a bed and a few other necessities, plus a few items of sentimental value, such as a few pictures of him with his parents. Guile, on the other hand, is far less sentimental, and so merely has his bed and a couple of furniture items.

Q stumbled into his room, sitting on his bed as he reached for his first aid kit and used it to tend to his head; he'd decided to go to the partner assignment desk before tending to his head injury. Fortunately, he knew how to treat head injuries like the one he had, otherwise he'd probably have died of a concussion long ago. Fortunately, this one didn't seem TOO bad, and he was a quick healer. All he had to do was make sure he didn't smack his head on anything else. "So you're the idiot I've been assigned to?" Q blinked, looking over to see a Sableye with crossed arms leaning on the doorway and staring lazily at him. After a moment, he grinned cheerfully. "Wow, you're kinda grouchy, huh? I'm Q - wanna be friends?" Now it was Guile's turn to blink, caught off-guard; he'd just insulted the guy in a tone he had specifically used because it was unfriendly, and he was asking to be pals? "...I'm Guile. Has anyone ever told you that you're insane?" "Eh, plenty of times, but I don't really care. Sooo, whaddaya wanna do for team name? I'm thinking 'Lords of Awesome, Gloriosity, and Righteousness'!" Guile couldn't help but snort slightly; if nothing else, he supposed this wouldn't be dull. That was good, at least - he hated dull. "We might as well call ourselves Team Oddball, because something tells me we're going to be a bundle of wackos," he snarked. Q grinned cheerfully. "Sure, that works too, buddy! Now c'mon, let's go - I heard there was this big gathering thingamajig, and Q want in!" He then proceeded to grab Guile by the wrist and start dragging him along, oblivious to his new partner's incredulous stare.

Q and Guile returned to their room, the former beaming at his Sableye partner. "Aren't you glad we went to that meeting? We even got a TM out of it!" They'd also gotten a whole bunch of new friends, and had even been told they could visit them anytime! Guile nodded grudgingly; he supposed the other Teams were all right. "I'd really rather go get a mission, though." Q considered the answer a moment. "Okeydokey! If it's a mission you want, it's a mission we'll get! In fact, I booked one ahead of time - even packed for it!" With that, he grabbed Guile and dragged him along, completely ignoring the Sableye's protests of how he couldn't possibly have stopped by the mission office since he was over at the meet and greet with the others.

Q stared in curious puzzlement, Electric Egg in his lap. The Mawile stared back, waiting patiently for him to say something as she put her hands on her hips and tapped her foot. Guile just shook his head in exasperation. When they had come to their room after the mission, the Mawile and an Elekid had been knocking on the door, wanting to join their Team. Q had tried to invite them both, but Guile had patiently explained to the Elgyem that last he checked, the Guild rules stated they could only let one member join their team at a time. At that, the Elekid had gone into a temper tantrum, shouting some, ah, less than nice things at them and ranting about how he was far better than some girl. However, before Guile could take care of the rude, disrespectful, and all-around insulting Electric-type, the Elekid had been chomped down on by the angry Mawile's ponytail-mouth and chucked him out the window, thus solving the whole one-recruit-only problem. Back in present time, Guile was tired of the stare-down. "Q, are you going to say something, or am I going to have to go somewhere else while I wait for you two to finish your staring contest?" he asked dryly. Q blinked, turning to Guile. "Huh? Oh, right, I zoned out. I was just trying to figure out why this Mawile seems so familiar." The Mawile huffed in irritation. "Really, Q? You forgot me? It's me, Rika!" When Q tilted his head to the side and squinted, Rika got a distinct tic on her forehead. "I'm about the only neighbor who didn't attack you for practicing the tuba in the mornings? You came to me for advice sometimes?" Q brightened as he finally remembered, beaming at her, and Guile glanced between the two. "...Should I leave the room so you two can - MMMPH! MPH, MPH!" Rika glared at the Sableye squirming within the confines of her false-jaws, then reluctantly let him go. "We're not like that. He's more of a little brother figure to me." Guile considered that, tilting his head to her in silent apology and wincing slightly as he rubbed one of the bite marks now on his body. "...He does seem kind of like that annoying little brother who goes through all sorts of ridiculous phases." Rika seemed mollified, nodding. "Exactly. I'm the one who kept him in line." The Sableye considered that a little longer, then nodded, eying her ponytail-mouth warily. "Yeah, I can see that happening. Name's Guile." The pink tomboy smirked. "The name's Rika. Don't get on my bad side and I think we'll get along just fine." Q beamed. "Nice to see you 'gain, Rika! Like Guile said, he's Guile, and this is Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All! " Rika glanced down at the Egg, then back up at her brother figure. "...You know what? I don't wanna know." Q blinked, unsure what she meant, then shrugged and grabbed Rika's wrist cheerfully. "Now c'mon, I wanna introduce you and Stormy to the others!" With that, he proceeded to start dragging the Mawile along, Egg in his other hand and Guile following at a more sedate pace. Obviously the Mawile was used to it, because she didn't struggle, merely gave the Elgyem a look of resigned amusement.

Gilded A short snuffling sound arose from outside the door and a charcoal black nose pressed against the wooden surface to lightly shift it open. Once widened enough a golden head popped into the room and glanced around with blue, orange-rimmed eyes. The shiny Poochyena wriggled his shoulders through the crack in the door, pressing himself into the room to look about with his head low and hackles raised. "What a dump, ruff." The dog would grumble under his breath as his eyes darted from side to side. He had smelt something in this room while he passed and he wanted it. It was a sweet sort of scent, familiar yet strange to him. The smell the Poochyena had picked up, unknowingly to him, was an egg. He had eaten plenty of eggs in his puppy days, cracked them open to lap the yolk and insides clean of any remnants. The memory of those days and the scent pricked at his interest and he began to sniff about the room with a determined glint in his gaze.

Unfortunately for Gilded, the egg had left the room along with Q and the others. However, there was still a distinct scent trail leading in the direction of Team Essence's room. If the Shiny Poochyena chose, he could follow the scent trail, though that would most likely lead to a confrontation with Team Oddball.
(Sorry it's so short... kind of hard to do a good reply when your characters aren't even in the room, but didn't want to leave your char waiting forever until Team Oddball was done doing what they're doing. sweatdrop )

Team Oddball's room was graced by a rather odd phenomenon: a strange Egg appeared in a flash of light, the only clue to its origins the note that appeared with it: Happy Easter!

There was a loud CRACK as the egg hatched, a small shiny Swirlix popping out and looking around, sniffing curiously as he searched for sweets. Upon confirming that, no, there were no sweets in the room, the ball of sticky fluff zipped off, intending to see if he could find something sweet to eat... and leaving a trail of drool behind him that anyone could follow.

The drool trail had been a bit of trouble to follow. In some places the lack of light made the reflections hide in the shadows and the path disappear. She had walked off in the wrong direction more than once, only to turn around when she realized the trail had gone elsewhere. In other cases, it had simply fallen apart from the steps of other pokemon that had walked over it. There had been at least one unfortunate area where it looked like a Grimer had gone by and a substantial part of the path had been erased entirely--it had taken her a while to find her way. The fluffy little beast in her arms didn't seem to care, at least not while he had his chocolate shake.
Well, at least she was here now. The door was in front of her and by all reasoning it had to be the right one since the drool trail led right to the door... she couldn't imagine it being anything else. She awkwardly fumbled to try and knock on the door while she still held her infantile coworker but after a great deal of squirming and shifting she gave up and simply put it down before knocking solidly on the door. She was, however, quite careful to keep an eye on it if not a hand.((Continued from Here))

However, there didn't seem to be anyone home at the moment; the team members that lived there were apparently currently elsewhere. Soon the Swirlix finished his shake, blinking as he looked around before scurrying inside in the hopes of finding more yummies. In doing so, he inadvertently led Katherine to the remains of his egg, as well as the small note next to it. Apparently his egg had been a surprise gift for Easter, which explained why nobody had noticed him missing - the Team members probably hadn't even realized they'd gotten an egg in the first place! Meanwhile, the baby Swirlix began digging through the pantry for more yummy-things, soon finding some fudge. There was a small problem, though - said fudge happened to be on the top shelf... as in much higher than an itty-bitty baby could reach. The little guy attempted to jump up and get it, but just couldn't make it; eventually, his eyes started watering as he made a whimpering noise, just about ready to burst into tears at being so cruelly denied the yummy-thing he could clearly see.

Venari Katherine
Katherine looked around as she entered the room. The door had been unlocked, for some reason, and it was completely empty. The egg shell was the only elucidating part of her somewhat awkward and uneasy search through the room. She didn't quite know what "Happy Easter" meant, as familiar as she was with the holiday, since the idea of an egg being randomly left in the middle of the room with such a note was simply too foreign for her to consider. The note was probably from something else and it had simply been left there--there was no other explanation for it, not that it mattered much. The much bigger concern was that she was now in some team's room without permission and she was taking care of what was apparently a baby they probably didn't even know they had. It bothered her that they had been irresponsible enough to leave an egg unattended (which, at least, was what she thought had happened) but such thoughts were quickly swept away by the unhappy whining and whimpering of the infant who had no one else to take care of it.
Following its gaze and fruitless efforts upwards it was easy enough to tell that it was after the fudge which is a desire that Katherine hesitantly obliged, if only partially. She wasn't quite sure what the little thing ate. Pokemon were all so very different. For most, she knew that feeding them too many sweets, especially when they were young, was a bad thing... but the little thing in front of her seemed quite inclined to them even from the start so maybe it was normal for them? Still, instead of taking the entirety of the fudge down, she sought out a chair to stand on so that she could reach the fudge and somewhat roughly break some off with her hand. It crumbled slightly in her hands but a respectable piece came off. A respectable piece that... she kept to herself, at least until she had picked the Swirlix back up, carried him well away from the pantry and sat him down on her lap. It was then that he would receive the fudge which would hopefully placate him long enough for her to figure out what to do.

Sure enough, the little guy calmed down relatively quickly, munching on the fudge and idly wondering if maybe this orange creature was its mama. It held him, it fed him, and it seemed to like him, which was what pretty much what the word "mama" boiled down to, right? Eventually, he finished the fudge, but seemed a little calmer now that his belly was full (for the moment). On a side note, the amount of sweets the little guy was devouring didn't seem to be harming it at all - most babies probably would've puked from sugar overload at least once by now, but the Swirlix didn't seem affected at all. If anything, he actually looked slightly healthier than he did before he ate.
(Minor fun fact: apparently a Swirlix's diet is 100% sweets. xd )

Venari Katherine
Katherine breathed an internal sigh of relief when the little thing in her arms calmed down. She was both happy and relieved that he was content with what he had gotten. He seemed fine. He seemed happy and healthy but, truth be told, she didn't really know much about babies. She didn't know anything about the baby in her arms by virtue of the fact that she didn't even know what species it was. She had traveled a lot but she had never run into a pokemon like this before so her knowledge was lacking and she could only go by what little she could assume. Fortunately for both her and her fuzzy little companion, her guesses had been very much correct even if she had no way of knowing that was the case.
As to what to do... Well, that was a hard one. She supposed that, for the time being, she would have to wait. She was quite certain that the little fuzzball in her arms belonged to the team whose room she was presently sitting in. Had it been an older child she would have simply left it on its own, content that the team wouldn't have left it alone unless they knew it was safe, but given that it had just hatched that definitely wasn't the case.
So she simply waited. She kept the Swirlix in her grasp and gently patted him through the fluff that surrounded his body. Hopefully his team would be back soon.

The Swirlix babbled happily and settled into Katherine's arms, seeming content to wait for his team to come back. Sure enough, soon a team came in... albeit not the team Katherine was waiting for. Demon opened the door, looking around curiously and sniffing the air. Nightmare followed in, the intimidating-looking Ponyta giving his partner a bland, amused look. "I'm pretty sure you're supposed to knock before entering someone else's room." Demon blinked. "Why that?" Ignoring his friend's amused head-shake, he soon noticed the Kirlia in the room. "...You not smell like room... you different pack?" He then paused, noting the small, fluffy creature in the Kirlia's arms. "...What fluffy-thing? Not look very strong." "That would be a Swirlix, Demon. Judging from the size, it's a baby." Nightmare shook his head in amusement once more, the black-and-silver Ponyta walking up to Katherine and giving her a grin that showed his surprisingly sharp teeth. "Hello there; I'm Nightmare of Team Savage, and this is my partner Demon; sorry about him, he's not used to people. Who might you be?"

Venari Katherine
Katherine wasn't quite sure how to react. At first, she had been quite pleased that the team had finally returned to their team room. It quickly became apparent that that wasn't the case, a fact that she was inwardly somewhat grateful for; though she wasn't deeply in love with the little fluffball in her arms she didn't want it to have parents that looked like...
Well, to put it politely, the Ponyta and Sandslash in front of her didn't look like the type to raise kids. They were a little intimidating. She wasn't normally one to judge based on appearances but you didn't start looking like Demon unless you were involved in some serious fights. It was very much to her relief that the Ponyta, in spite of his textbook "evil" appearance and name, seemed to be a soft-spoken and sociable individual.
"My name is Katherine. I'm the captain of Team Venari. It's good to meet you." She silently noted what Nightmare had said. It was nice to know that what she had in her arms was a Swirlix, even if it didn't change much. "Do you know where the team that belongs to this room is?" It was a direct question and she wasn't expecting a positive answer given how the pair had entered did it didn't really hurt to ask. The Swirlix was a cute little thing but any enjoyment she might have taken from the infant's size, disposition or appearance had long since crushed under the weight of responsibility. She mostly just wanted to get him "home".
