She loves treasure hunting though her idea of treasure isn't gold and jewels though that's nice too, she is rather simplistic. Her ideal treasure is literature of any and every kind. She loves reading and learning new texts and languages. She is rather the little intellect but you wouldn't know it when first meeting her as she is really well....she can come off as overly bubbly or ditzy. She always has something to smile about and make conversation about everything and anything just about. Beware though because if you start talking about books, poems, any kind of literature she will have you talk her ear off to tell her all about it or even debate and compare notes.
She can most often be found near some of the two-legger villages listening to their stories or trying to read their scrolls or what have you, at one point I would like for her to befriend a young human possible while she is a foal and this jump starts her love of writings as they try to teach her to read. Later in life this human will be her best friend which can make her a loner when it comes to soquili at times as not all feel the same about the humans, and one day I would like to plot the human dying and she will lose her passion and will wonder around, possibly fall under bad influence or manipulation by someone dark until her knight comes to her rescue whether it be family or lover. With this Id like for some plots to be already in place if its a lover that saves her. One that can remind her of the light she was before she lost herself and one that can lead her out and give her the control over her life she once had maybe someone that had gone through a similar experience themselves.
On the aspect of love she is a bit of a romantic, she loves the freeness of her families life and though she has no problem with that she thinks there may be more to life then having multiple partners, but she doesn't discriminate and if she falls in love or has that special bond with more then one soul then fine, but if there is just that one out there for her then so be it, she will follow her heart on the matter.

Username: sheppardkid Name of Filly: Toci (Aztec "Heart of the Earth") About: Toci is a reserved and mysterious Soq. She does not possess the same outgoing personalities as other members of her family, choosing instead to observe silently from the background. Her shy demeanor is due, in part, to the fact that Toci is unable to speak.
Born mute, the young Soq has developed her own form of communication which utilizes both body language and expressions. Close family members and friends can easily understand this form of communication while others have a harder time of it. As such, Toci is extremely conscious of her movements and never does anything without a cause or reason.
Additionally, Toci possesses rather keen observation skills. She perceives the moods of other Soq effortlessly and can often sense when trouble is brewing. It is during these times that she shines brightest- her ability to empathize and exude a calming influence a great tool for resolving conflict.
Toci’s upbringing has been…different. Her mother’s and father’s idea of free love leaves her with a wide assortment of family members. Wishing to get to know them all, Toci divides her time between her parents, spending half of the year following her father around and the other half with her mother. These bonds are among the most treasured and sacred things in her life and she is willing to do anything to protect them.

Malinalxochitl or Malina for short, is always quiet---in fact she's a mute. Though even if she doesn't have a voice she can be expressive through other ways when trying to communicate with her family members. Though sometimes it can be frustrating when meeting new soquili she never lets it get her down and is patient about them trying to understand what she may or may not want. She takes after her mother with having a free spirit and even dare say has a little sass, she may not be able to convey her emotions through words but she certainly will show it through her facial expressions. She likes the sound of music which the humans play and so sometimes she finds herself venturing towards the villages to listen in secret careful not to be captured because she loves her freedom in which she was born in.
As a foal, she'll spend most of her time following her mother and learning to be open to everything the world has to offer. At first she'll be a bit confused of the relationship between her parents and what exactly is Terror Incognita to her but in the end she'll love all her family members. She'll also be entertained by the idea of treasure hunting but she's not much of a hoarder. She enjoys seeing the beauty of glittering gold and gems in their hidden locations, it's more of a game of finding that brings the thrill rather then actually obtaining it for her. She's also an amazing listener and will try to give advice the best she can to help those who seek it.
When she's an adult she'll struggle when it comes to finding romance. She may be the daughter of a stallion who's wooed many but she lacks the ability. Perhaps stallions are put off by the fact she can't speak? She doesn't know, but it does make her a little down while waiting for her "prince" to arrive. So, she'll seek out her father for guidance and tips in the ways of romance.
During her spare time she'll learn the different type of plants that she can use as medicine to help those in need. She'll spend hours upon hours gathering things she'll need to make a certain type of remedy.

All her siblings can speak but she just hasn't been able to find her voice. Her parents will worry and seek out someone with knowledge with her issue, they learn that she is a mute. She'll never be able to speak and so they'll have to break the bad news to her.
2. Bullied
Upon meeting new foals they find her quietness annoying and start to make fun of her, unable to defend herself through words she tries to communicate with stomps but they just continue to laugh at her. So one of her siblings stand up for her in which she'll grow close to forever.
3. Terror Incognita
Who is this mare? Why does she hang around mother all the time? Why do they have a foal together? How is that even possible? All questions she seeks from her mother in an awkward conversation in which she does her best to ask through her way of communication.
As a Adult:
1. Teach me
She's awful at love. She has no idea how to express her feelings. So she seeks guidance from the only soquili she knows that is a pro when it comes to love, her own father. It had been years since she's seen him but she knows he'll be willing to teach her.
2. Love Crisis
It's a challenge without having a voice. She tries her best at capturing a heart but she's sadly mostly ignored since she's quiet. That is until she meets a stallion that is able to understand her and at first they start off as friends, she falls in love but he isn't in love with her. It stays one sided for a very long time until another stallion shows up and he soon realizes that he's always been in love with her.
3. The ways of healing.
She's always been interested in helping others, for years she lend out her ears for them but now she wants to help in other ways. She wants to learn about medicine and all different plant life that she needs to make it. She'll seek a soquili that is a healer to learn their ways.

It was singing that came first, of course and even as a filly, her voice was able to string melodies together that were light and full of merriment. Following music came dance which took more work, because unlike her voice, her wobbly legs were harder to control in her youth. Still as time went on and she practiced, this filly would become a wonderful performer, desiring to share her passion to fuel delight in others.

Nickname: Xo About: Xo is a quiet mare, who would rather listen to those around her speak than to start up her own conversation. She is not shy; she would rather listen to the world around her than to interrupt the rhythm with the sound of her voice. Her family means the world to her and she will do anything in her power to protect them; they are the ones who give her strength and the courage to fulfill her dreams. Loyalty runs strong in her veins, this can cause problems for she believes that those she cares about would tell her the truth, she is very gullible and believes what others tell her. As she gets older she grows out of the gullible stage, but is still way and sometimes can be lead astray with words.
The woods are her domain, a place where she is the guardian and protector. Protector of the Small: As she continues to keep the forest safe, sometimes encounters trouble with larger animals preying on the small. What does she do in those situations?
False Truths: Xo is a gullible filly, she wishes to see the best in people and this causes her some problems. Due to believing lies, she gets lost some place unfamiliar and encounters not so nice soquili. What will happen? Will someone rescue her or does she get out of it on her own?
Woodland Adventure: Her mother is adventurous mare and Xo wishes to be the same. But she cannot get up the nerve to leave her forest. Does she finally leave or does she stay?

Guiding Hoof: She has become a creature of the woods, known around the land as a mare who will provide aid to those who have asked. What would happen if she could not help a soquili? Would they despise her or understand her reasoning’s?

Username: Divena Name of Filly: I’d like to wait and see what she looks like before naming her. But based off the basket… It looks like she could be an Esmeralda X-D About: She’d be a bit of an odd duck for her family. While everyone else might be openly affection and all about love, Esmeralda would be more sedate. She’ll lean more toward the practical, and have a bit of trouble expressing her emotions. She might come across as cold or heartless, but really she’s just shy and awkward. Given the wide range of eccentric personalities in her family, she may never really be able to understand or connect to outsiders. I see her putting her hoof in her mouth... a LOT... in the future. While she believes as her parents do that love is wonderful and should be free for everyone, she’ll know herself well enough to latch on to anyone would put up with her peculiarities. It won’t matter to her if the relationship will be platonic or romantic, just as long as there’s an understanding, and that’s what she’ll feel is most important.
Not sure if any of that makes sense x.x I imagine her personality will evolve as she grows, and hopefully the rough edges of the personality will be worked out. I just like the idea of a socially awkward personality coming from such a loving and affectionate family X-D

Adult: Terza will learn a bit more restraint when it comes to wandering into danger, but she retains her curious nature and wants to meet all types of soquili and learn their stories. She's fascinated by other ways of life than her own and will travel and seek to visit different herds to record their different customs and cultures. Most might call her a wildcard. And depending on who you are, you may see specific sides of her, and not others. She'll be quite multifaceted, able to adjust and adapt to fitting a role that's needed in given situations. She doesn't typically follow social codes, or norms, even throwing caution to the wind when it comes to mannerisms and 'decency'; asking questions that may be too brazen, or personal, without even a bat of an eye. Even stating her opinion upfront that could be offensive, or taken as being inappropriate. There is no really 'good' or 'bad' to her, just different views, and she doesn't fault others for having them. This goes hand in hand with different lifestyles and cultures. While she isn't keen on her parents choice of numerous partners, she'll usually accept these sorts of oddities though probably comment on what she thinks about it. But certainly won't hold it against people.
Some of her hobbies will include singing, dancing, exploring, and socializing. With her fathers charisma, she can easily fit herself into social groups, types, and circles of all kinds. She's really optimistic and enjoys taking a flight or adventure every once in a while. Cha loves to challenge herself, believing that just because she is good at something does not mean that she should give up. This is the trait that she got from her mother - the adventure and free spirit. She comes and goes as she pleases, but would stay a reasonable amount of time with her family every now and then. With this, she will later grow into a nomad, travelling place to place. Eventually, she will meet with one of my soquili (their baskets look almost exactly the same) and the two would probably travel around together.

Nora falls right in line with her loving family. She is a bright and outgoing soul. She loves to bring a smile to the faces of those around her through any means necessary - a song, a dance, a goofy face - whatever it takes! She’s so thrilled to be part of a large family! She always has someone to talk to or to joke around with. She especially adores her same age siblings and looks forward to long days chasing them all around and playing games from sun up to sun down.
Nora has such an abundance of adoration to spread around that she refuses to pick any one part of her family to live with full time. Instead she loves to travel, choosing to move around in order to spend more time with all of her relatives! Not only does she get to spend time with her mother, her father, her sisters and brothers, and everyone else - but she also gets to meet lots of other new soquili too!
While Nora loves just about everyone and everything, there is one particular hobby that she dotes on. She is an active gardening enthusiast! You see, one day she took note that her papa and a bunch of her siblings wore flowers, either in their hair or other places. Nora wanted to help out by growing new, fresh flowers for them to wear, but she hit a little snag. Turns out the constant love and affection that she was raised with and that she showers upon others….isn’t always so good for plants. Intact she’s had a lot of problems with her plants dying on her. It’s like she has the black hoof of death. But Nora won’t let that deter her - if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again! However her family started to worry a little about her hobby when she killed a cactus…that thing was supposed to be sturdy!
Plot Ideas:
~ Nora meets lots and lots of new Soquili and befriends them (because that’s what she does!)
~ Although Nora has lots of friends - it would help if she could make one or two really close friends that she can depend on to come through for her when times get really tough, either with siblings or with someone that she meets on her travels
~ Eventually Nora will meet a soquili impervious to or even annoyed with her eternally sunny disposition and they will shoot her down. How will she deal with that type of rejection?

Username: pippi18848 Name of Filly: Ayaka About: Ayaka is always questioning everything about life. Everything from, why are the leaves green, to why there are some who live in water and not on land. She wants to learn absolutely everything there is in the world. Aside from being extremly curious, she's also very kind. Though, others may not think she's so kind because she has a habit of ignoring others when she's on a mission to discover something new, but she really doesn't mean it at all! If she realizes that she's offended someone while she was on one of her missions, she will seek them out to apologize.
She will probably never settle down and join a herd, but instead will search out the herds, ask to stay with them, and study them. See how they function, how others live within them. Whether they have multiple partners like her parents or if they are devoted to one. Their holidays, their trading systems. Everything. Ayaka knows there so many herds in the lands, and she wants to learn about them all.
Love though will be a long way off in her future, as she will be to devoted to her studies of the herds to really look outward for anything. She might have others try to sway her, but being the devoted student, she is completely oblivious to their advances.
There are times though where she might run into a bit of trouble, and she'll have to figure out how best to get out of it. A run in with a skinwalker, captured by purist kalonas, trapped in a cave, and so many other situations, that could possible happen while she travels between the herds. Sometimes she'll be able to get out of them on her own, and other times she'll be forced to accept the help from someone who happens to be nearby.
All in all though, Ayaka won't let anything stop her from learning about the world around her. No matter what it is. She will always return to her parents periodically because she loves them both dearly, but the study of the other herds is what truly holds her heart.

She had a flying accident as a young foal that resulted in a broken leg. Since then, she refuses to take to the sky. She does enjoy swimming though. It lets her feel free to do things she wouldn't be able to do in the air. The only thing she dislikes about the water is it can be a little dangerous when she gets out, she has to be careful she doesn't trip over her wet hair. (If she has short hair then she'll have to consider her wings. If she has no wings, then I shall think of something else xD ).
She loves hearing all the scary stories her brother tells. She listens to them more in wonder than afraid. It is another way she can know of all the things out there since she can not experience many for herself. She is never convinced any of the things he says are true. She just giggles and brushes it off. She has an innocent streak to her, naive being raised in the field and only experiencing love from the ones around her. ۩

She has grown accustomed to having a healer at all times, but knows that one should always be prepared. She is actually a little possessive over the scraps. So much so that if someone takes one that she threatens to get one of her siblings to get it back for her.
If she is in an argument, she will often say one thing, and then soon after say something that will totally counteract what she had said in the past. I.E. if she had been talking big to someone but then said her brother was coming to beat them up, the soq in question could easily mention that she had said she could do any thing. If that was said, she would just say that she is a lady and as a girls right, can call on any guy to save her. She often gets flustered in arguments, making her sputter odd things or get her peeved. Maybe some day she will master the art of a come-back. She still enjoys being in arguments. Shes just not very good at making sense in her arguments just yet haha. It lets her blood heat without having to put her body in danger. Well, as long as the other soq knows its just an argument.۩
░░Plot Ideas: xxxxx۩ ~ I want her to have a slightly major injury as a child. Enough so that it inspires her parents to seek aid from a full blooded unicorn. I like the idea of them 'hiring' the uni to stay by Rian's side in case she needs medical aid. That way she will never be in too much danger. I was thinking for an injury, Rian can damage her tail bone in some way. Extremely painful, but not life threatening. ~ I would like Rian to try and go on adventures with her mommy before her syndrome is known. Just little outings to a special place, nothing major. During this outing, Rian can trip and sprain an ankle or twist something. Whether it makes Chii in a panic learning her child is so delicate, or that she feels guilty for injuring her child, I would like in some way or another to have Rian be able to console her and try and make her happy. All she wants is to make her parents happy<3. ~ Somewhere down the line I would like her to meet a soq who did not grow up knowing their parents. Rian doesn't understand how someone could grow up that way and unintentionally throws it in the soqs face the loving environment she grew up in. I want her to learn the world isn't all gumdrops and cotton candy. She had been told scary stories by her brother as she grew up, and I want her to realize that they aren't all Fiction. I am not sure how she would react to this yet, but I am eager to think of all the possibilities<3. ~ I am a romantic, so I have to include some sort of love plot lD;;. I really like the idea of her falling in love with the unicorn who is bound to protect and heal her. It probably wouldn't start out as love. She is more the type to bicker with her friends than to be romantic. She has a little bit of innocent streak to her. ۩

Username: Master Wild Mage Name of Filly: Chantal About: Chantal is an artsy little filly. Entranced by all the little markings on herself and her families' bodies. She uses them as well as the paintings of the Kawanis as inspiration for her own pieces she makes using whatever she can manage to snatch up. She can easily be distracted by all the pretty art she finds around her. When it's markings on other Soquili her fascination can cause odd situations. (The colorful theme of the rp contest for this month kinda inspired me to make this obsession with designs her odd little quirk.)
Unlike most of her family she's awkward around new people at first. She fumbles her words and stutters and mumbles when around someone she's not comfortable around. So the majority of the time she sticks around members of her family(and later the friends that she's grown close to). This doesn't stop her from traveling from place to place tagging along with one relative or another, searching for new inspiration for her artsy side.
Being awkward and not all that good with the spoken word she is often jealous of her family members that find flirtatious conversation easy. She toys with the thought of trying to get help in the flirting technique but thinks it'd be an odd situation in general to experience. (kinda akin to the birds and the bees talk)
Though she accepts her family's free love philosophies her shyness would make her more of a committed kind with only one lover in the future. Whether it works out for her to find her one true love in her life will be up to fate.
