Zero hadn't realized just how much of a difference the Mega-Form boost made until he'd switched to Nu. Once he'd found his next opponent, he could almost immediately tell the gap in damage between his two pokemon. Where Ashen was able to one-shot everything, Nu's power wasn't enough for it, even if it was a short fight. Not to mention, he'd taken significantly more damage during the fight than Ashen or Nova. He'll have to remember to keep an eye out for a Mega Stone for him too...

Not to be deterred by not knocking everything out in one attack, Zero continued on to find his next foe. It didn't take long to find one, of course, and he went right back into it. Ice Punch on the Gabite, Meteor Mash on Carbink, and then Hammer Arm on their last pokemon, in this case an Aggron. The usual pattern. As you can imagine, it didn't take long for him to finish the fight and move on to the next.

Now on the last battle for Nu's training, Zero wasted no time in getting right down to business. Nu hammered on the trainer's Amaura with a Meteor Mash, striking it down within two strikes. Then, with a chilling hand, brought down their Torterra as well. Then finally was the Bastiodon, which managed to get a few decent hits in. Though, it's attacks were too shallow compared to Nu's heavy blows, and the ancient pokemon found itself passed out on the ground as Zero finished.

Now that Nu, Ashen, and Nova were all set, the only one left to level up was Agi. The Blaziken would probably take a little longer, just because of how much lower-leveled he is, but it hopefully wouldn't take too much more time. He made short work of his opponent, burying their Vivillon in a mound of rock and stone, burning their Snover, and dropkicking the Sneasel. Each only took two strikes apiece, and before long Zero was already moving in on his next opponent.

Zero's next foe actually caught him off guard. Though their first pokemon, a Volcarona, was taken out within a few hits, their second one was what threw his pace off. Rather than just take the beating and only dishing out a little damage in response, their Ferroseed just decided to blow up. The blast knocked Agi back, and dealt quite a bit of damage. Then, they followed it up with a Probopass that threw a few rock-type moves at him. Had Agi's own attacks been any less powerful, he'd probably have gone down. But fortunately, a few High Jump Kicks were enough to bring their opponent crashing into the ground.
Once he'd healed the Blaziken up, Zero moved on to the next trainer.

Their next opponent brought a fairly straightforward fight. The Vespiquen did about as much damage as the last ones first thrown out were, throwing a Gust in before being buried. Their Leavanny did a little less damage before being consumed by a Fire Blast. And finally Agi defeated the final Bisharp with more High Jump Kicks in between their own strikes.

Since he seems to have cleared the place of most of the trainers willing to fight, Zero started looking for wild pokemon to fight. Wisp flew around Zero's side, floating over to something that caught his eye after being let out. The ghostly ball of gas lifted up a small, heart-shaped object in the smog around him. Almost immediately though, the scale began to glow, and then crumble as he'd accidentally used it.
And the Gastly didn't have to wait long to test the new move he'd gotten from the Heart Scale. Zero quickly came upon a wild pokemon to fight, and after putting the Chimecho to sleep, Wisp immediately tested his Shadow Ball. It wasn't terribly powerful, but it got the job done.

Oddly enough, the next pokemon Zero came across was also a Chimecho. Of course, it didn't really matter in the end. He'd take it down just the same. Putting it to sleep with Hypnosis and then striking it with a Shadow Ball while it slept, the Gastly made sure the floating wind chime was gonna be sleeping for a long time.

And to finally wrap up Zero's training, it was Wisp versus a Shuppet. It wasn't exactly hard, of course. The little ghost suffered the same weaknesses as the Chimechos, and even Wisp. A few Hypnosises and Shadow Balls thrown at him and he fell. With that, it was over. Zero was finally done training.

Now that he was done, Zero stopped to rest for a minute. He hadn't heard any ringing or buzzing from his phone, but he checked his X-Transceiver anyway. He frowned when he found there was, in fact, nothing new. Guess she's still off doing... whatever, he thought.
Sighing, the silver-haired boy looked over his team for a moment. Even though they just finished another long, rather tedious training session, they still had plenty of energy. None of them even looked tired, unlike Zero. A little voice in his head told him that this was a good stopping point, but he pushed the thought to the back of his mind. He couldn't stop now, not yet at least.
But the heavy fatigue still surrounded him like the very air. Everything felt like lead weights, but he powered through. Getting to his feet, he rose up and returned each of his pokemon, save for Ashen. Instead, he climbed on the dragon's back, and pointed in the direction of Mossdeep. He seemed to have the time, so he figured he might as well do this now... [Exit to Mossdeep City]

[Character Enter.] Though the travel time was short to fly from Lilycove to Mt. Pyre, Ashen still felt like it was taking forever. He'd only had his wings for a couple of days now, but he loved the freedom it gave him. Flying at high speeds was exhilarating, but at his trainer's command, the grey charizard was forced to go slower than he wished. He wanted to just go full speed straight to their destination, especially since they were racing.
However, when they finally neared the fog-cloaked mountain, Ashen couldn't resist any longer. Without warning, he flew at his top speeds past the Noivern and towards the montain. Unfortunately though, the the lack of warning coupled with how fast they were going caught Zero completely off guard. "Ashen! Slow down!" He shouted, but the Charizard was too ingrossed in getting to the mountain first to hear him. "I said slo-" Before he could get through to his pokemon the sheer force of how fast he was going caught up to him. While the grey dragon continued towards the mountain, Zero was flung off, and sent plumeting towards the water that surrounded the mountain.

✿ ❀ Isis laughed as she raced Zero towards Mt. Pyre, fairly easily taking the lead and charging ahead since she was the more experienced flyer between them both, and Zero, for his own safety, had to reign it in with Ashen. Isis still enjoyed the flight though, and Nocturne was as well, especially now that her trainer was far more happy than she had been flying to and from Azalea. Since it wasn't much of a race, Nocturne and Isis had settled into a more comfortable speed, soaring along just ahead of Ashen, but as they drew closer to the mountain, it seemed Ashen couldn't resist going full speed, charging ahead of Isis and Nocturne out of the blue as Zero yelled at the dragon, insisting that it slow down. Ashen didn't seem to want to listen though, and Nocturne, rather annoyed with the fire lizard's antics and with the fact that she was now suddenly losing the race, charged forwards again to try and catch the dragon.
However, the speeds seemed to be too much for Zero's body, and soon he'd fallen off of Ashen and was sent flying towards the deep ocean below. "Woah! Hold on Zero!" Isis redirected Nocturne towards the boy, though she resisted somewhat at first, Isis was clearly worried for the boy's safety, so she would obey for now. She tucked in her wings and dove down towards the silver haired boy, spiraling her body to gain momentum before snatching him up in her claws and expanding her giant leathery wings to slow their fall and glide towards the mountain. Zero was roughly dropped on the grassy exterior entrance of the mountain at a slightly faster speed than what would have been more comfortable, and Isis grimaced as he rolled a bit from the extra momentum before Nocturne landed, sending a glare towards Ashen for making her clean up his mess, screeching and chittering snippily at him. Isis quickly jumped off of Nocturne and ran over to Zero to check him out. "Zero! Are you alright??" Isis asked, somewhat concerned. ✿ ❀

The internal sceaming of Zero's rage at Ashen was cut off when Isis and Nocturne came to the rescue. Although, his landing wasn't any softer, as the Noivern just dropped him down at the entrance, not slowing down enough for it to be an easy landing. His body rolled around the ground before finally slamming into a wall of stone, though fortunately it had been slopped, minimalizing the damage. Still, it took him a second to recover, getting up about the time Isis had run over to him.
"I'm fine, I'm fine," Zero tried reassuring Isis. He wiped off the dirt and grass on him, his back stinging from the impact, but other than that and some cuts, he was in relatively good shape. Still, he shot a bit of a glare up to Ashen, who by now realized what he'd done, and slowly flew down to them with his head down in shame. "I could have done with a landing that didn't throw me into a wall, but it shouldn't be much of a problem."

✿ ❀ Isis was glad Zero seemed okay, though she did feel bad for the rough landing Nocturne had given him. "Y-yeah, sorry about that..." Isis looked to Nocturne with a light frown, but the Noivern indignantly inclined her head, feeling no sympathy whatsoever. In fact she hissed somewhat at Zero as he commented about being thrown into a wall, somewhat suggesting that he should have been happy she even grabbed him at all, rather than letting him eat seawater. "Come on Noc, be nice." Isis sighed, and Nocturne curled up on the grass, glowering at Zero and occasionally shooting glares Ashen's way as well as she rested her head on her claws.
Isis suddenly stiffened and looked around. "Where's Raja...?" She asked, growing more frantic. "Raja?!" Isis called out, but the Flurry had disappeared. The pokemon had been with her when she'd gone to inspect Zero, so more than likely, the Flurry had entered the mountain already. Isis whimpered. She had wanted to just stay outside of the mountain and train there, but now since the pokemon she had wanted to train with was now MIA, she had to go find it. Isis steeled her nerves and quickly walked into the mountain before she changed her mind and ran out to ask Zero to find the Flurry instead. It was her pokemon, and therefore her responsibility. "R-Raja....?!" Isis called out again shakily. She felt a light rustling in her bag again and breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh you little thief... You just hid away in my bag again didn't yo--AUGH!!!" Isis jumped when instead of her new Flurry companion, she found Wraith, who'd stolen the glowing crystal shard from her bag that Isis had all but forgotten. "W-Wraith! You give that back! That's mine!!" Isis complained, grabbing for the shard, but Wraith quickly popped the shard into his mouth, thinking it to be a tasty candy due to its colorful nature, however he made a face afterwards, the taste not at all what he'd expected it to be. Nonetheless, the damage was done, and his pumpkin orange bleached away to white, and the glowing interior of his Jack-O-Lantern turned an ominous blue color. Isis heaved a light sigh. "....Well at least you look good in that shade." Isis murmured. Wraith seemed to think otherwise, somewhat detesting his new appearance. "Well if you don't like it, then maybe don't steal things from my bag and eat them!" Isis scolded.
Soon after, Raja finally peeked in around the corner and Isis breathed a sigh of relief. "There you are! Don't run off like that, you scared me!" Wraith scoffed, believing Isis was pretty easily scared, however Raja floated over with it's ears tucked back in an apology. However, it was soon distracted by Wraith's presence next to Isis. It's eyes seemed to light up, dissipating and then reappearing beside Wraith, and he inched away, a little weirded out by the strange pokemon's sudden interest in him. He shooed the cub away, and Raja frowned, floating back over to Isis, who took it up in her arms. "Come on, lets get back outside, I don't want to be in--" Isis was cut off by an old woman who seemed to appear out of nowhere. "Oooh, is that a Flurry by any chance?" Isis blinked, looking over the woman's odd attire, from the candles in her hair to the long ceremonial robes she wore. "Um.... I don't know...?" Isis cocked her head to one side. She honestly didn't know the species of the pokemon in her arms. "Oho, yes, that is most certainly a Flurry, and a special coloration of one at that. I don't believe I've ever seen a black Flurry before. I assumed you knew what it was, why else would you bring it to Mt. Pyre hm? Flurry need to train by harvesting spirits, particularly from Ghost pokemon. That is why we shaman trainers used to make partners with them, way back when they were larger in number." Isis glanced to Wraith, who looked uncomfortable with this news. That thing wouldn't be stealing his soul, not if he had anything to say about it! Isis looked back to the old woman. "Why do they need spirits?" The woman gave Isis a wry smile. "Keehee, you'll see in due time. Would you like a battle to help train? I specialize in ghost pokemon." Isis supposed it wouldn't hurt, nodding in agreement. ✿ ❀
