A little lost in thought, Zero watched as Ajicka released a rather affectionate Charizard. "It's quite alright. Better they warm up when you can. My Charizard only recently evolved, so flying on him is... less than smooth." He thought for a moment of all the times that, in the few hours he's even been able to fly, Ashen has dropped him out of the sky on accident.
Although, he was quickly pulled out of them at Ajicka's question. "Oh, well, I've gotten six thus far. I actually just beat Winona a few hours ago. What about you? How many of the Kanto badges have you gotten?"

The girl gave a shrug and a sideways glance. "Pretty much the same thing..." she remarked absently. Jas was a fire type, after all; the paper would probably be up in flames before he could even begin to chew it. She shook her head to be rid of the thoughts, though, trying to shift her attention away from all of that mess. If she'd had any iota of trust in the general public before, that was certainly gone now. Not that she would become paranoid.... probably....
She looked back at Zero, quirking an eyebrow when he mentioned his own Charizard, glancing up at Jas, then gesturing absently to the side. "You could release him and ask Jas to show him some tricks. I've never flown on him, but he's coordinated enough to at least know how to use his wings properly most of the time," she remarked. Indeed, Jas had been evolved for quite a while now. He had flown through his first two evolutions rapidly, and had been flying with Fearow and the rest of her flying types since.... before her first badge, actually.
She dropped her hand back to her side, her other on her hip as she looked at Zero. Quirking an eyebrow, she lifted her head, noting that they had the same number of badges. She gave a shrug, though, at his question. "Six. I managed to get them before that whole... mess, but I've been trying to train up before the next two gyms since I plan on taking them on without using too many type advantages, hopefully," she replied casually. Was she being a bit competitive? Of course she was. She was Ajicka. Talking about pokemon didn't really come without some competition from her. But she wasn't trying to brag, even if it might have seemed like it a bit.
She gave a wry sort of smirk, looking at Zero with almost a spark of her usual fiery spirit. "We should battle sometime, when you're up to it," she added casually.

Zero looked up at Jas as Ajicka gestured to it. "Hm. I think I'll take you up on that offer." Her Charizard was certainly more experienced than his--or at least, seemed so--it couldn't really hurt to ask for a little help. Pulling the fire-type's ball off his belt, letting the albino dragon out. "Ashen," he pointed up, "go up there and let Ajicka's Charizard teach you how to fly properly."
"Char, charizard char,"(I don't have a problem flying, but alright.) Dust and dirt kicked up in the strong gusts the Mega Charizard made taking off, causing Zero to turn his head away, but once he was up, he watched Ashen catch up to Jas before turning back to Ajicka.
"I see... I'm not the type that can do that unfortunately. Unlike Andreas, I tend to plan everything out with type-advantages in mind." He scratched his head as he spoke. He didn't quite have the same competitive spark as Ajicka--and especially not Andreas. Although, what he did have seemed to kindled a little by the proposed sparring. "...Yeah, I think I'll take you up on that."

Ajicka looked at the white-silver fire pokemon as it was unleashed, gazing it over appraisingly, then watching as it took off into the air. She could see Jas turn mid flight, easily, to greet the pokemon, keeping himself up as he curiously engaged it. She shifted her gaze back down, some part of her wondering how Jas would be, as a teacher, another part convincing her not to worry about it, and just let the pokemon do whatever.
She quirked an eyebrow when he mentioned someone, a hand on her hip as she gestured with her other. "Andreas? Is that someone I'm supposed to know?" she asked honestly. Names weren't her forte-- she hadn't remembered Isis', after all, until Zero mentioned it-- but she was admittedly curious at the mention of someone else who didn't use type advantages. Not that she didn't, she just tried to make it so that wasn't what she relied on. She'd rather earn a type advantage, by strategizing, or, if she had to, if one of her pokemon fainted, than just using it to try and barrel her way through a gym leader. Honestly, it was more for practice than anything... She felt that fairer tactics were meant for her fellow trainers, gym leaders were optional, but they were a good way to test her theories and see where her pokemon stood against ones of their own type.
She smiled as he accepted her offer to battle, giving a nod. "Good. We don't have to do it now, I assume you probably want a break after your gym battle, but, uh..." She looked off to the side, making a face at the awkward alternative. Well, awkward to her. "I guess we could exchange contact info, if you would rather do it another time. That way you can reach me when you feel up to it," she finished. That wasn't.... so bad...

Ajicka quirked an eyebrow as Zero replied, then nodded, smirking a bit. "I see. What region does she do her research in?" she asked, admittedly a little curious about this Andreas. If Zero had as many badges as she did and still considered her 'crazy strong', it wasn't likely that she could take her on, but... that didn't mean she had to dismiss the idea for the future, especially if the girl was still training and battling along with her research duties.
She turned to him as he sent his number to her, checking and nodding as she received it. "Sounds good," she agreed, then looked up at the Charizards, "So how did you get Ashen? I remember seeing you with a Blaziken, I would have thought that would be your starter, but...." She trailed off, clearly curious about the different starters he had. Then again, she had swampert, so she wasn't one to really talk. Speaking of... she really did need to get back to training at some point...

Ajicka nodded. Huh, interesting. She'd actually been considering visiting Sinnoh at some point... Well, even if she did go there, she would keep her resolve not to challenge this Andreas until she was ready. "Hmm, well, good to know," she remarked, "If I'm ever in the area or anything, I'll keep an eye out for her." She didn't quite mention that she was curious to try battling the girl, but... htat might have gone without saying. Even if it didn't, though, she didn't want to seem like some overly zealous battler or anything.
She glanced up at the two winged lizards as well, then back at Zero, quirking an eyebrow as he took a moment, noticing the delay. "Hmmm..." She hummed thoughtfully, looking at him with an odd expression, but then shrugged. "That's interesting," she admitted, "His coloring is certainly unique. I certainly haven't seen one like him before." Personally, she didn't really have many shiny pokemon, but she was noticing them popping up here and there quite a bit.
"Ah, hmm.. hey, do you know a good place to eat?" she asked, placing a hand on her hip, absently throwing a pokeball in her hand as she looked at him. Now that she thought about it... she could use a bit of food, before she got back to training.

"There're quite a few pokemon like that, honestly. There's actually a few items that can turn a pokemon weird colors like that. Here, I'll show you," Digging into his bag, pulling out his remaining Crystal Shard. The rainbow crystal sparkled and shifted color as Zero held it up. "Basically you give this to a pokemon, have them crush it, and they change color. I've only ever had one other one, but they've got some pretty cool effects. My Gardevoir-" Zero stopped short. The image of the zombified Mega Gardevoir flashed in his mind. ...I'm starting to think I've got PTSD, he thought, the various images seeming akin to Vietnam flashbacks or something similar.
Plus, he was sure Ajicka remembered all too well what all the stolen pokemon looked like, and it might be... unwise to let her out. "Maybe I should just show you." Taking a second to decide who to give the crystal to, he plucked off Agi's ball from his pokeball, letting the blazing fire-type from his ball. "Agi, crush this real quick." The Blaziken cocked his head at the somewhat odd request, but none the less took the crystal in his hand. It became strangely brittle in his hands, and took barely any force to crack, and then shatter it.
Suddenly, Agidyne became engulfed in a white energy, as a orb formed around him. The process reminded Zero of something similar to Mega Evolution, though the spherical shell was more egg-shaped than orb-like. None the less, the energy casing quickly shattered and dissolved in the air, revealing the newly dark Agidyne. His feathers became a mix of black and blue, his flames turned a deep blue, and his eyes became a solid, bright red. It almost looked... intimidating.
At any rate, once the little display was over, he heard Ajicka chime in again, this time asking for a place to eat. "Oh, sure. Follow me, there's a place nearby we can grab something to eat real quick." He motioned for her to follow, and started walking down the path towards the nearest restaurant.

The girl shrugged a bit. "Yeah, I've seen a few like that," she said, "I actually have a Joltik--- speaking of which...." She leaned over, spotting a flicker of movement past Zero's shoulder, but looked back at him when he cut off. If Joltik had escaped, she was fairly certain he would at least stay close by... Hopefully he was still near, though.
She blinked when he mentioned showing her, then shook her head, waving a hand. "No, it's, uh..." She stopped as he already started pulling out the crystal. ".... Fine," she finished, making a bit of her face. She didn't really care about pokemon getting to look pretty because of a crystal. Yeah, it was cool, but... she got the jist of it from his description. She really didn't need a demonstration. But, whatever. Let the guy have his moment.
Shifting her weight, she kept a hand on her hip, looking over again and confirming that Joltik had got out, and was scurrying along the wall of the pokecenter. She looked back at him as he gave the crystal to his pokemon, and hand it crush it. She had to admit... the end result was pretty cool. It was more impressive, though, because she knew how strong the pokemon actually was, but she could appreciate the value of carrying the intimidating appearance into battle to show off to the opponent without using a move. Not something she would personally actively seek out, but a nice addition to a pokemon's intimidation factor.
"Cool," she remarked, still a little off put by the unnecessary demonstration. Honestly, she would probably be a lot more appreciative of it if he hadn't just assumed it and gone with the performance. It felt more like showing off than attempting to explain anything, and even though she was prone to her own moments, her hypocrisy didn't keep her from feeling a bit dismissive of it.
She nodded when he mentioned a place to eat, walking over and this time picking her small spider pokemon up off the pokecenter's wall, placing him on her shoulder and following. "Thanks," she said, striding alongside him, glancing up again to see Jas quite enjoying himself as he flew with the other Charizard. Now that he thought about it, it had probably been a while since he got to actually relax and enjoy himself with one of his kind..... "I haven't eaten in a while, and I'm sure my pokemon are getting rather hungry as well," she remarked, turning her attention back to Zero as he led the way to one of the local eateries.

In truth, Zero was too tired to really notice, or care, about Ajicka's disinterest. He'd planned on giving Agi the crystal to begin with, this just happened to be when he did it. At least, that's how it was for him. To anyone else he was just a showoff.

Ajicka looked up, placing a hand over Joltik when she felt him skitter on her shoulder. She nodded, a hand on her hip as she gazed at the signs. "Awesome, thanks," she remarked, taking a step forward. She stopped, though, and looked back, quirking an eyebrow at him curiously. "You coming?" she added on, removing her hand from her electric pokemon as she felt him settle down. Jas was still flying with Ashen, but she was fairly sure he would be fine on his own, for now. If a pokemon could take him down, they'd have to at least make enough noise that it would catch her attention, and bring her tearing out of the restaurant ready for battle.
"I can help pay," she offered absently, tilting her head towards the restaurant. He had helped showed her around, and... well... honestly he looked awful. He seemed like he could probably use the food.

"No problem," Though Zero started to turn to head back, though stopped midway once Ajicka asked if he was coming. He opened his mouth to say "no", but before he could say anything he felt his stomach grumble inaudibly. "...Sure. I could use something to eat."
Zero approached the entrance to the restaurant with Ajicka, holding the door open as she offered to pay for him. "Oh, no, it's fine. I can pay for myself." He didn't exactly feel too comfortable letting someone he just met pay for him. He may have been tired, but he was awake enough to pay for himself.
