The female gave him a soft chuckle, a purr following his treatment as she looked back at him. She nodded, "Heilkat. Thank you for the assistance Azazel." she said honestly.
The female carefully washed her head using the back of her paws and small splashes. She straightened to watch the male then, open in her observation as she padded her way to a overlooking rock. She laid out on it as the male would hear a chuckle, "Its a good trait. Shows manners compared to most of the male I encounter."

The female carefully washed her head using the back of her paws and small splashes. She straightened to watch the male then, open in her observation as she padded her way to a overlooking rock. She laid out on it as the male would hear a chuckle, "Its a good trait. Shows manners compared to most of the male I encounter."
He moved back into the water for a quick dunk while she left the water. "Some males are quite disappointing and make it so much more difficult for the rest of us." His swim was a quick one, just enough to wet him down yet again ... and cool him down... This female was far too interesting to risk being too much more forward than he already had been. He too found a rock to perch on while he work on his fur. He focused on that, aware that he risked her wandering off when he wasn't paying attention...
Finally groomed to his satisfaction, he looked over to see if the female had remained.

Indeed she did Azazel. The female was quite intrigued by the male's set of morals. Licking the back of her paw she waited for his return. Truthfully he was getting her a little warm. So, she was happy to watch the male glide through the water. His body was powerful, something she admired in a potential mate. He was interesting, he had a intriguing character. She smiled when he looked over, her eyes unintentionally half lidded.
"See something you like?" she teased.

He grinned at her question. "Perhaps," he replied, also teasing. It felt good now to have some teasing banter from her. "It's been a most interesting evening, with much to admire." It was hard to tell by the light of the flames, but perhaps there was some admiration in her eyes? Proceeding with caution he drew closer to her again.

She rose to her paws, flames seemed gentle and low as she curled around him with a purr. The female settled herself next to him as she looked up at the moon. Her purr was soothing; "Indeed it has...did you have shelter for the night Azazel?"
She was curious, if he answered positively she wouldn't press the issue. If he didn't...she would offer him shelter with her at her main den. If he wanted to stay with her the night...

He responded to her contact with a purr of his own. This was going even better than he could have imagined from their initial encounter. He must have done something right, still ... caution for this one like dancing with flames...
"There's a place I've been staying since I first stumbled across this territory, your territory, and I do apologize again for trespassing where I might not be welcome." He sighed then, "I should be able to find my way back from here, but I fear my eyes have been dazzled by the light of your flames so it may take some time to reaccustom them to the darkness...." He left the implication hanging. It would be up to her now, leave him to his stumbling way, light his way, or perhaps another option was on her mind?

The female looked at him for a moment, "Join me back at my Den. Its larger. Warmer. I can assure you better company than the crickets at night." she smiled before nudging the male gently, "Please..."

Azazel's eyes actually came close to widening in surprise at her reply. "Such a gracious invitation," he replied regaining his usual swagger. "Larger and warmer sounds good, as does the company. It would be my pleasure fair lady to accept." He made a bit of a bow and flourished a paw for her to lead the way.

The female smiled as she led the way to her Dens. The night had certainly been one the pair would never forget. Heilkat found herself a interesting male, while Azazel may of found himself a interesting friend...it was all up to them.
