Application Forum Clean Up!
Mods will be instructed to begin a clean up of the Application Forum so that we can complete it after Christmas. They will identify dead topics and move them. If you have anything you want saving or are still working on something please quote us within that topic to say that you wish for it to be kept; unless this is done the topic WILL be archived.
All moderators are expected to take part unless they have a genuine reason as to why they can't. This is so we can begin recruiting come the New Year.
Thanks.

Guild Review Form! There is a Guild Review Form that can be filled out in the new Recruitment Thread. I would be very appreciative if you up-voted the thread and filled one of these out. Think of it as the only Christmas Present you'll have to get for me. Even though I deserve more for being such a wonderful and nice Cap'n. biggrin

So, if you receive correspondence from a mod in order to ask if you alive make sure you reply ASAP.
More on this story as it develops.

New Legacy!? WHAT!? A lot of people have been asking about the New Accepted Legacy: Zillah Ruido Aguerra and you are quite right to be. Lindsays Trachea has only just joined the guild and he already has a Legacy when Legacies aren't open; how even is that? Well, let me tell you. Lindsay was nice enough to PM me about joining the guild and showed me his plans for this character based on I, Vampire's Andrew Bennet and I was actually really excited. With an inactive Etrigan, a good Vampire seems good to fill the void left by a do goody demon and with the character being quite obscure, I did think that it could inject some new life into the guild. Lindsay's application was amazing both to the guild (he PMed me his join request RP Sample) and for the profile. Hopefully, he will make a great addition to the guild and everyone will have a great time in RPing with him. However, do not be sad! You may get your own chance to make a Legacy very soon!

A New Legacy Patch TOO!? WHAT!? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!? Hot off the heels off some other Legacy News, I am pleased to announce that OUR NEW PATCH IS FINALLY HERE! The Beautiful Justice Patch is now up and ready to be applied for with "Overload" details to be announced tomorrow! We're hoping that this all female patch will encourage some of our female members to take a bigger role in the guild or maybe invite their girlfriends to come RP with us! If you wish to ask any questions about "Trading-In" characters to take a Legacy slot please ask Roxas or any of our helpful mods in the Form || Ask Us Anything topic! If you have any other questions, do not be afriad to direct them there as well! A huge thanks to Josh Starwind for his work on this list and to all the mods who pitched in!

Guild Review Form REMINDER!These still need doing, we've had a few that I am thankful for but a few more wouldn't hurt! There is a Guild Review Form that can be filled out in the new Recruitment Thread. I would be very appreciative if you up-voted the thread and filled one of these out. If no more have been done by tomorrow morning, I will begin quoting people.

THE DAWN HAS BEEN DELAYED!
Unfortunately due to OFSTED coming to inspect the school where I work this term I am going to have to DELAY the Launch of Dawn of Beautiful Justice; I'm not saying that it is cancelled but the huge amount of pressure and work I am already under at my job is making it difficult to construct the forum in the time span I had assigned. I am sorry but hopefully, we can use this time effectively to set up for the events opening and get some more Female Legacies recruited!
I will be talking to Tuffosaurous and The Master Time Lord. Hopefully, they will be able to sit down with me and get stuff moving forward.
(This may mean that the Planning Committee will have to voice chat on Skype.)

AATW WILL LET ME SET UP SHOP, NO WAY!?
Yeah, I've been thinking about allowing a few people to set up Graphics Shops in the guild to earn themselves a little gold. I'm not going to turn the Guild into a Marketplace though, so yeah, it'll only be a few people. If you're interested let me know by dropping me a PM and I'll set you up a little place on the Main Forum and negotiate with you.
However, one thing I will not allow is people taking the piss like people do on the Forums. I have seen people genuinely make graphics for me in less than 20 minutes and as such, if you're charging 1323217923612163 Bill per L-Shape Layout, I'm afraid you won't be allowed to set up shop. It isn't worth that much and "Your Time" isn't worth that much either. If you do a good job for a good price, you'll see that people will be more willing to buy from you.
Be reasonable. We're all friends here.

Chatterbox Forum Clean Up!
I think it's time we cleared out the Chatterbox. If you have something you wish to be saved from the Archiving Machines that are the AATW Mod Team, make sure you put "SAFE" (Like Baseball Safe) in the title of your thread.
If there are any that we think need rebooting for Guild purposes, for example "The Shipping Forecast", then put it in the Suggestion Forum and we will think about it!

New Workshop Forum and Communication Hub!
Me and Josh Starwind have made some huge changes to the guild! One was getting rid of the old Chatterbox and renaming it the Workshop Forum. Everyone was pretty much using it as one anyway, so we thought that it would be better to separate the Chatterbox's contents into two different forums.
The first part was the Workshops as already explained. The second part however was the chatting and OOC discussion that we love at AATW. So, we demolished the Old Guild Alliances Forum that we never really used and made that a Communication Hub: It's basically a proper chatterbox where you can discuss items, trades, art and what not maybe even plot and scheme like the sneaky devils you are! That's it really...
Have fun!

Dawn of Beautiful... Controversy?
The Dawn of Beautiful Justice Patch has been a topic of great controversy in the past couple of weeks. We've had people accusing us of being unfair because we have not allowed for the Overload Patch to contain Male Legacies; despite the obvious theme of this round of Patches. I've had people PM me about the fact that they feel as though AATW are not allowing for cisgender or "gender fluid" characters to be incorporated and that basically, by following traditional gender boundaries of male and female that we are reinforcing a negative social viewpoint. Personally, I have tried to talk to many people and have tried my hardest to get them to understand. However, both people seem to be set in their opinions and arguments and it has made me worry that these viewpoints may be shared across the guild. As such, I wish to issue a statement about why we as a moderator team decided to make Beautiful Justice and Estrogen Overload.
I would also appreciate the Mod Team Members to post their own announcements (In the Announcement Format of course) showing their own viewpoints and statements about Beautiful Justice. Hopefully, it will help you all to see the solidarity in our team and convince you that it's not such a bad play on our part to have a ALL FEMALE Patch.
The actual statement I have will be in Italics and quotation marks below:
"When I first set out onto making Dawn of Beautiful Justice, it was never my intention to offend or be unfair to anyone. In fact, it was actually quite the opposite. After talking to a few female members of the guild and some other female RPers whom had been checking out the guild and/or invited; I was disturbed by the fact they felt that there wasn't very much in the guild for them in terms of Legacies. They were quick to mention that the guild was predominantly Male and that I'd allowed for one of DC's most Iconic Females to be Gender-Bent into a Man.
After such comments, I obviously investigated and saw they were right. Even though I had made it so that ANY character's Legacy could be Gender Bent, it seemed as though not many females had understood that and I had not really done my job. I felt bad and began working on a way to take those criticisms and fix the problem. However, that has raised issues elsewhere.
On the topic of no Men, I ask the people whom think so to be reasonable. It seems a ridiculous viewpoint for people to have in my eyes as, well, there are tonnes of opportunities for Male characters and that they had ample chance. I was genuinely unfair in the Original Patch List and that was my fault. I want to make that up. I'm sorry you feel left out but there will be another Patch after the event and I hope you will participate in that one. However, I am disappointed in the selfishness of some people. The phrase "There are no girls on the internet" is far from true and we being men are not privileged to anything and everything. They should get an equal chance too. So just be patient. Your time will come.
On Gender Fluidity, well, I can only say that the majority of girls in this guild are cisgender and so, as they asked, we should provide a service for them. We allow for all types of characters here at AATW and the fact that no one has made a Transgender character is not "our fault". In actuality, surely we have allowed for true equality in the fact that we have not forced it upon anyone to make one? I'm sure that it's hard for you to be a minority but we're not stopping you. You could even apply to Beautiful Justice because physical gender and mental gender are different. Ystina is a great example of such a thing. A woman who cross-dresses as a boy to gain more respect. I don't think allowing people to be cisgender is a bad thing, the majority of people are but I do not wish to make anyone feel as though I ONLY see people as Male or Female. I work in a school where we actually have a couple of students with Gender Issues and I take them very seriously. It must be horrible not quite knowing where you fit into society or which shoes you're meant to fill.
In short, Beautiful Justice was a response to a problem that was brought to my attention and my want for social justice could not allow it to continue. I wanted to make things right. I never intended to offend. I was just trying to do my best. I am sorry if that got to a few people but I feel as though being fair all round to the general populace rather than a few people is more important."
