Quill Regna

"Mmh! Is this organic?" Quill was slurping back a delicious drink that someone had thrust in his face. It was so good, he decided that Dewey and Landry should partake of the beverage as well. As he distributed the drink among his Pokemon, he gazed up at the shirtless man that had gave it to him. "Sho'nuff is. I reckon a good, old-fashioned berry juice would taste swell to a foreigner." It really did. Quill and his team could barely contain their excitement as they sucked down the amazing drink. He was curious, too curious to care about why he was there to begin with. "How did you make this? It's incredible." "Son, that's what's called a berry juice. There is only one way to brew it properly. You'll have to find yourself a Shuckle and stuff his insides full of berries." "Thanks. Bye." Quill was already walking away. His new goal? He had to find a Shuckle. Whatever it was, it kind of sounded like a Pokemon. If that was the case, then Quill counted himself lucky. After all, the professor had given him some Pokeballs. All he had to do was track one down.
Quill, Dewey, and the newly appointed Landry scoured the beach for hours, looking for their meal ticket. Quill had named his Chespin on the way to the beach. He spotted some clothes on a line and inspiration had struck him. Landry was awfully close to laundry, and was also a knight from one of Quill's favorite T.V. shows. Landry's heroism had inspired Quill to call him such. He seemed like the kind of Pokemon to protect others, so the trainer thought the name suited him. While they were searching, Quill used his Pokedex to see if he could find information about Shuckle. He scanned a Pelipper in the sky, a Dwebble in the sand, and a Binacle as well; but no Shuckle. He was about to give up when he heard a commotion behind some rocks nearby.
Quill did his best to approach quietly, but to no avail. He wasn't exactly the stealthy type to begin with, and the sand made movement more challenging. However, what he did see really surprised him. A bird seemed to be harassing a red rock for some reason. Not knowing what was happening, he decided to scan the creature. WinGUll, tHe SeaguLL PoKemON. The pRE evoLUtIOn oF PEliPPeR. IT usEs upDRAfts tO sOAr INto thE SKy. However, the device wasn't finished. Apparently, the rock it was attacking was a Pokemon too; and it was a Shuckle! Quill had to intervene. He ran forward, yelling at the top of his lungs, trying to scare the Wingull away. It worked for a bit, but the bird was tenacious. After flapping for a moment, the Pokemon dove back in, pecking at Quill's head. He instinctively covered his head, but Wingull's beak was pretty sharp. His arms were starting to feel the effects. In a panic, Quill grabbed one of the pokeballs he had received, and hurled it at his assailant. Anything to stop the onslaught, even for a second. The ball encapsulated Wingull and shook..once...twice...three times before settling in the sand. Quill had just captured his first wild Pokemon.
"Uhh...okay." Quill retrieved Wingull from the ground and looked the Pokemon in the eye. It seemed different. Almost as if catching him had calmed him for some reason. Quill shrugged and released the Wingull onto the beach. The bird made no move to attack again, which caused Quill to become confused. But he decided to roll with it. "Um, welcome aboard I guess." A Pelipper flew by overhead and Quill watched it go. It reminded him of a little ship; and if his Wingull was going to eventually evolve into that, he had the perfect name. "I'll call you Tugboat. But for now, let's get that Shuckle." Quill turned towards the Pokemon. It had yet to come out of its' shell, and Quill shrugged. He tapped it with a pokeball, and there was no fuss. He had managed to catch two Pokemon in one shot. Shucky seemed like a decent name, and Quill pocketed her pokeball. He wasn't trying to keep her confined, he just didn't think she would be able to keep up. The sun was starting to diminish, and it was giving off some pretty colors. It had been a long day, Quill just wanted to relax and watch the sunset. He and his Pokemon made their way along the beach, back to where they had started.
