Tafiir: Post 1
Location: Supply Tents ---> Hiding out in a supply cart

Tucked away within a covered weapons caravan that came out of Zena, Tafiir held tight to his father's sword as they arrived at the Tale camp. He was a long way from home and all alone, but he was determined to avenge his father by getting his father's sword in battle against the Obans.

Hearing the supplier coming, he shifted under some leather equipment he waited as the man un-tethered the caravan tarp and go about his business. When the voices around the caravan faded Tafiir slipped out, sword in arms, and made a move for the food. Stepping up beside a prentice hard at work preparing a meal he kept his eyes fixed on what he was preparing, his stomach letting out a rather obnoxious gurgle, "That..... Smells good."

Biroki – Shifter Sage
Sleeping Tents: Assisting with Calming down people

“Shhh...” Biroki said, trying to be as comforting as possible to the drunken Rastian as he tried to get him settled in the sleeping tent. “Shh. It will be fine. We'll get them all back...” he sat the healer down on the cot – as firmly as he was able – and rubbed the man's back. “Trust me, Rastian...” he said.

He wished he could be so sure. He had been sure, until, back in Neued, his fireballs had lit their retreat. Things felt a little more desperate now, a little less certain. And yet, he still felt they had hope. Things were solidifying now into something resembling a structure, and he thought – and he had to keep believing in – the hope that they could keep going... Otherwise he would fall.

“Do you want me to get you anything? Tea? Tea is good.” He could make tea...

Ruelash – Ice Knight
Around the Camp: Loitering

Ruelash was bored. He was so bored. Where was the war? The fighting? The blood? It hadn't been long since his last skirmish on patrol in the jungle, and already he was missing it. He longed for it, nearly pined for the ringing of blades and the screams of the dying and the sound of rending...

Was that Iroia?!

He'd been looking everywhere for her! Second to a group of Oban schmucks, she was always good for relieving boredom. They were on the same wavelength, and he appreciated it because, in this somber hell, nobody was. He was about to go over to her and greet her (with more enthusiasm and humanity than he would admit to having) when he realized that she was talking to someone. In a friendly way.

Childishly confused and more than a little cranky, he slipped into the shadows and, petulantly curious, snuck over to see what they were talking about. She was talking to some kind of dark skinned hybrid that looked too familiar for coincidence (though even oblivious Ruelash could tell that it wasn't Yaholo) and a...

Was that a...

Oban?!

Ruelash bit back a feral growl, his swords sliding from their sheathes and into ready sharpness.

Iroia... he thought with a mental snarl of concern, Git outta there...

"Alright girls, let's see if we can find you some place to hang out while I go get some snacks." Tahigwa said, holding tightly to the tiny hands of her daughters. "Maybe one of your cousins wouldn't mind watching you..."

Joweese - Youngling
Location: Sleeping Tents with Tahigwa and Zahra

Joweese looked up to her mother pensively as she spoke and craned her head backwards to look at her sister, a grin growing where a blank expression had been.

"Yeah! Maybe cousin Sammy would like to play!" She giggled, winking at Zahra.

Rilind: Knight
Locantion: Nearby where Yaholo is
Post: 1

It was due to the rest that his group had been able to take, as well as the aid he'd gotten from Uquin and his groups on healer, that allowed him to get to where he was today. That being back on his feet, alive, and mostly in one piece. His shoulder ached a bit, still stiff when he woke up, but at least he was able to lift his arm over his head again which was saying something. The moment that he felt that he was able to stay on his feet he wanted nothing more then to head to Yera, find Yaholo, and go from there... but when he finally got there it was already too late. It seemed that everything was moving forward as far as the war went meaning that Yaholo wouldn't be found within Yera. It would seem that there was only one place that he was going to be able to find him... something that made the redhead want nothing more then to climb Yaholo like a tree so he could strangle the much taller man. Did he really think that he should be fighting a war? Didn't he have kids? Bah! Not to mention that he should have come to him to tell Ril that he was up to such nonesense.

Still, if Yaholo was going to get into such a battle shouldn't he go as well? It wasn't as though he held any illusion of loyalty toward his own people, the allied armies of the North, or Oba. He didn't really care about any of them... but he did care about Yaholo. It was a bit of a bother, the fact that he found himself heading toward a battle that he had no real stake in save for Yaholo himself. That was enough though, if it meant going there, fighting in a battle, and protecting the one that he cared about then he would do it. It seemed like it was the only thing that he could do at this point in time. After dong some trading in Yera, getting himself some new swords since his own had been left behind in Zena, he headed off ahead of his group that said they would catch up, trying to find where the camp was set up so that he could catch up with them and hopefully Yaholo as well.

It was the commotion he noticed first, yelling voices, something about someon named Senja being captured and some other stuff. None of his business and were it not for the fact that that voice was calling out the name 'Yaholo' then he might have just kept watching. Walking toward the sound he arrived in time to see Yaholo heading into the tent with the guy. There was a moment where he felt a prickle of anger... a silly emotion he shoved aside. No reason to be jealous of Yaholo dealing with a guy who was obviously hooked up already. It was as Yaholo came back a short time later, after dropping off his emotional charge, that Ril cleared his throat, "Yaholo." He said, his voice monotone and slightly icy, "What do you think you're doing coming to a place like this without even telling me?"

Pahana - Rogue (Training to be a Dancer)
Location: Healing Tents -> With Uquin, Ujana, and Padma
Post: 1

To say that Pahana was nervous would have been an understatement. She gripped the edge of her sleeve with one hand and kept the other upon her side, her eyes gazing down towards her daughter, Ujana, as she hopped around the healing tents. Uquin had gone into the tents with Padma not too long ago, leaving both of them outside waiting, but to Pahana, it felt like an eternity.

"Uja, sweetheart, can you please stop running?" She asked her daughter, for what felt like the fifteenth time. "You'll fall and hurt yourself."

Ujana - Youngling
Location: Healing Tents -> With Pahana, Uquin, and Padma
Post: 1

Ujana paused, briefly, to give her mother a blank stare, before ignoring her warnings again. PFFFT, she wouldn't fall! Her mother was such a worry wart, just like Padma! And even if she did fall, her daddy was a healer, and he could fix anything! She rolled her eyes, pranced around a bit more, and thumped her hands against the entrance to the tents.

"Daaaaaaaadddyyy! You're tak'in too long!" She whined. "I'm hungry and my feets itch!"

Hijil – Shifter Guard
Around the Camp: Patrolling/Feeding the Kinfa with Bhima

Hijil grinned as the young kinfa peeped at her insistently. Ath was a delight and a handful, and Hijil was glad she'd found her before the jungle had. “Its about time to feed you.” Hijil said, unwrapping the kinfa from its swaddling to let it stretch as she got out its food. She turned to her companion. “I think you had the food, yes?” she said to Bhima, stroking the kinfa's feathers...

Achik was leery about the earthlings spending time with his precious babies, but he had to admit, he was glad he didn't have to feed the little gluttons anymore: there was only so much that a sprite could do with a growing kinfa's appetite... besides be a snack himself.

Still, he watched Hijil and her companion as they handled his kinfa, chiming in a very disgruntled manner...

Zahra - Youngling
Location: Her her twin
Post: 1

Zahra gave a smile, her kinked antennae giving a little twitch, as her mother told them that they were going to find them a place to hang out so that they could get something to snack on, "I like snacks." She chirped in a happy, agreeable manner, then perked up even more at the mention of the cousins. She couldn't help it as she bounced in place a little, before she said, "I would like that!" Their cousins, that was someone she wanted nothing more then to see, play with, and play tricks on.

As Joweese mention Sammy she nodded, "Ohh, yes! Sammy or Ken-Ken would be fun to play with, Mom!" She was good with either, she liked both of them well enough, finding it to be rather fun to bother them. If they could find either or both of them then surely they would find themselves as quite lucky! Digging into the pocket of the simple shorts that she was wearing she got out a handful of ribbons, nudging Joweese, and held some out to her, "Psssst, Jo! Just in case we find Ken-Ken." She said in a hushed tone, finding it far too much fun to tie ribbons to him.

[ supply tents ]

Properly engrossed in what he was doing, Kauff didn't notice the ice boy at his elbow until he spoke. The prentice's mind backtracked a tick, recalling the child's growling stomach, even though it had only been his subconscious that had caught the sound the first time. He grinned down at the boy as he moved the small bit of meat away from the flame and glanced around furtively. He didn't think it was his place to be taking food, but he hadn't originally planned on stealing it, he'd just wanted to try his hand at a bit of grilling. Had he been given permission to cook, this boy might have been the recipient of his hard work anyway, right? So that made what he was about to do perfectly acceptable.

Kauff skewered the meat and lifted it into the air, waving it from side to side for a moment to cool it. Then he held it out to the child. "Here. Just don't tell anyone who gave it to you." Curious eyes flicked from the boy's face to his sword and back again. "I'm Kauff. Are you here to fight?" He said it casually, like the whole situation was no big deal, when in truth he thought it was a bit ridiculous. If they let this kid fight, he'd eat his shoe.

Aaran - Prentice (Training to be an Archer)
Location: Camp Outskirts -> Closer than Kennet, Xilarn, and Iroia
Post: 1

Aaran was quiet.

He didn't quite know how to handle the fact that he was the one going to war now, instead of his brother and parents. It made him shudder to think that he was going to be the one battling and trying to survive. How would he fair against all this? Would he end up dead just like his family, or would he find that, somehow, he wasn't as inept as he had always been told?

He took a breath, allowing the warm air around him to fill his lungs, and aimed an arrow towards the sky.

"Gattick, this is for you." He muttered, letting an arrow loose. It flew up quite high before taking a spiral downwards and into the ground, where it say until a squeaking sound sprang from Aaran's pocket. A Moracker, which he had found on his way to the camp with his new family, hopped out of his pocket and scampered to retrieve the arrow, drawing a soft chuckle from Aaran's lips.

"Silly Leod, that didn't need fetching." He said, giving the animal a pat. "Don't know how you knew where it was, though, you're as blind as a newborn pup."

Leod squeaked and wiggled his tail as he was given a pat and nuzzled into Aaran's hand. He loved his new owner dearly, even if he wasn't always pleased to see him.

Bhima : Blade > Resistance [ post 1 ]
Location: Around camp with Hijil and baby Kinfa

"Yes," she replied with a nod, digging into her bag. Atipi, eternally curious, waddled over from her fabric nest and tried to shove her feathery head into the bag.

It was unfortunate that they two had found each other during such a tumultuous time, but they had found each other. That in and of itself was a great gift. She nudged Atipi's beak away and pulled out the bag of collected and purchased feed, taking a handful and offering the sack to Hijil. Her eyes flickered up to the sprite briefly. Did it think they could understand it? She really didn't like sprites.

"Why are you even here? Someone's going to catch you and sell you, you'd better look out." Except probably not, considering how fast those things could be, but that sound was so irritating!

Ime : Healer > Resistance [ post 1 ]
Location: Healing tents, preparing for the battle

Ime stood beside her mother, paying careful attention to the ingredients her mother mixed. This would be her first experience with battle since finding her place, and it was frightening. She had been younger the last time, not involved in the inner workings. Now she knew that she may feel a life slip away in her hands. It was terrifying, and her heart pounded in her chest.

"Like this?" she asked, tilting a small vial.

"A little more," her mother said, offering a soft smile.

Natsu - Bard
Location: Familiar Pens
Post: 1

Natsu had let Viveka go off and wander, espescially after witnessing Rastian getting tugged away by Yaholo. With not much to do with himself other than sit, he decided to take a walk over to the familiar pens and play a song on his flute to pass the time. It was better than being bored.

"Eeeey, if you want to sing along, don't stamp your feet!" He said to the familiars. "Oh, who am I kidding. Go ahead!"

Makani - Mage
Location: Walking about, near to Rue
Post: 1

Makani wasn't sure what it was that he should be doing at the moment exactly. He was more then likely going to be playing the part of the healer for this battle just as he had last time. He was still working on his ability to tell apart the different sides by the energy alone. It was a difficult thing, reading people by the power that they came off, and as such he couldn't really rely on it as of yet. Unless someone was to come up to him and yell, 'I'm from Oba and I am here to battle you' he doubted he'd be able to tell them apart from friendly soldiers in a massive, mixed up battle. He'd stick to the healing tents... once things started at least. For the time being he was just sort of meandering around, getting a feel for who was near by, what was going on, and the lay out of the camp. The more that he knew the better, it would allow him to be better prepared for what was to come.

As he went there was the strangest sound, one like a hiss, that drew his attention. He gave pause, looked from side to side, then turned back toward the sound. Tilting his head to one side he tried to make sense of the strange, swirling energy that he was sensing.... not to mention the growl. For a long, honest moment he thought that maybe a wild Radaku or Sailscale had gotten into the camp. It was only as he heard the way the 'wild beast' moved that he realized it was a person. Oops... Makani's cheeks colored a little before he found himself wondering what was going on. Was something happening? Was something dangerous nearby? He wondered if he should be worried. Strange though, nobody else was giving out a call to arms, making him wonder what was going on all that much more.

After giving a thoughtful sound the young magic user started forward, following along after the man with the wild aura as quietly as he could, hoping to get a better idea of what was going on. If the need arose he could back him up with magic or heal him if he was injured, if it turned out to be nothing then he'd allow the man to continue his charging about on his own.

Viveka - Rogue (Training to be an Artisan)
Location: Wandering the camp -> Totally not looking for Eira intentionally LOL
Post: 1

Viveka didn't know how to deal with his brother right now, and Bergchi knew just how much he loved him. Getting himself drunk during one of the most terrifying and important days in the history of Tendaji, and acting like a fool... How could he do something so stupid!?

The Rogue adjusted the strap on his arm sling again as he wandered back onto the path, his mouth twisted in knots. Stupid arm, stupid Rastian, stupid war... He wished he could just go home and forget about it.

Pidgeons Go Meow X3

Eira - Dancer
Location: Walking around with Gyuri
Post: 1

Eira was doing what she did best at the moment, that being sort of sashaying around. There had been a part of her that was all for fleeing, just heading back to Zena where it was safe, but she just couldn't do it. Instead she had made sure that those patients that they escorted out of Neued before the battle started got somewhere safe so that they could then double back, going to lend their aid, "I am pretty sure that I have lost my mind, Gyuri." She told the massive giant of a man that was walking alongside her, certain that he probably thought the same at this point. It would be smarter for them to march away from the Obans as fast as they could... but it was likely that if the army of the North fell that the Obans would catch up with them eventually.

Giving a bit of a huff she declared to her bodyguard, "Bah, all of this fighting is so foolish and such a waste of attractive men if you ask me." There was nothing worse then that if you asked her. From what she'd seen of them even the Oban men were attractive, it was just a shame that, like most men, they were rather hard headed, stubborn, and stupid... they reminded her a lot of Capramel, the way that they constantly butted heads over nothing. Surely it would make more sense for everyone to work together? That would never happen, of course, get too many people together with strong opinions and there was sure to be conflict. She doubted that at this point that things would be so easy to stop though, not after so many had been hurt, captured, and killed. A shame, really, it meant that much longer before she was able to do what she really wanted to do. Pouting a little she said, "I want to start my inn! I want to gather my troupe! Gyuuuuri!"

Giving pause in her complaining Eira's eyes suddenly light up, "My, my, speaking of gathering my troupe!" Lifting a hand she gave a wave, "Viiiive!" She called out before she hurried forward, she wrapped her arms around her favorite pretty boy, dragging him in for a hug.

Gyuri - Guard
Location: Walking around with Eira
Post: 1

Gyuri looked over at Eira when she mentioned losing her mind, giving a slight nod before he even realized that he was doing so. He cared about her, sure, but it didn't mean that he felt that this plan of action was the right one. He didn't want the troupe to be at risk... but just as Eira had said to him there was really no way that they wouldn't be at risk when it came to the Obans. So long as they continued their march they were a danger. Just the thought of them threatening his group had him checking his gauntlets, tightening them, before his attention went back to the troupe mistress as she started to complain about the 'waste of attractive men'. He could understand to a degree, not that he had any interest in anyone, male or female, other the Borra, he could at least understand what she was saying in a sense. It was a waste of life having the two armies throwing themselves at each other constantly.

As she continued, whining for a moment about wanting to start her inn and gather her people he blinked his mismatched eyes a couple times, then patted her on the shoulder. They would get to it eventually, right? That was what he felt anyway, they just had to deal with far more complicated and all encompassing problems first. He was about to speak, to reassure her, when he was saved from it by her having a sudden flip flop in moods before she was rushing off.

He starred a moment, recognizing the one that she was accosting, before moving to catch up, "Greetings, Viveka." He murmured, leaving it at that, so the pair could catch up. Eira had her eyes on Viveka, wanting to draft him into the troupe, so he'd leave her to that. Best that she got to enjoy herself for a bit before anything bad happened.
