Hello all, I'm Cat. The manga is what makes Gaia a real place...at least in our hearts. So much has changed lately about this site that I think if we lose the 'story behind Gaia' the site will be irrecoverably changed. Gaia is a place, with people and a weird history. I'd hate to see all that makes Gaia unique just swept away and forgotten!

Ahoy mehearties~ I am Mai.
I have copious amounts of love for the plotline of Gaia and fishing. I've written awful and secret fanfiction about Gaian characters for as long as I can remember and have developed my own character to be immersed in our beautiful world and rich history. If that history and fun past time just stopped I'd be pretty upset and lost. The plot is what keeps me so interested in Gaia.

☠ ☠ "Ring a bell so the serpent hears us, let her know that we're tried and true. ." ☠ ☠ I'm Sinistro, but it's alright if you call me Angelo (I consider most of you close friends, anyway. So it's cool). Originally I was brought to Gaia by a dear friend and from there it spiraled into this crazy-awesome adventure. I remember my first event was the '07 1st annual Summer Festival water balloon fight. Durem won that year, and I was proud. I was drawn to Durem because of its edgy and classy NPCs. Aka, the shop keepers- This was when the shops were sorted by Town, and not by their purpose. And from there I was just drawn to the manga. I loved the characters, and their relationships, I loved the stories, I loved their History. Everything. Especially Moira's background. She reminds me of the lifestyle I used to lead, and still love so much. If Gaia takes this away from us, I'm pretty sure it'll feel like having your best friend- Hell, even your family- taken away. Because let's be real here, we all kinda see the NPC's as friends / family. They're the center of the community. Take away what makes the community a community and all you have is an empty place. I hope that there's enough of us here to help save this community. ☠ ☠ ". .No the beasts, they won't get near us- And we're not scared of You." ☠ ☠

Ashlex In Pearl here, but call me Ash if you'd like :3 I'm a nerd and an Otaku. Video games and Doctor Who mostly :3 and a lot of different animes~ I saw the forum before it was brought to my attention, but, it didn't register in my mind until a friend told me what was going on. And, after reading what everyone was saying, it really burned. I feel fired up! I want to help Gaia the way I helped my dear E-CORP. Its something we all love, so we deserve it just the way it should be, the way its always been. Not so much chaos as we've seen

Howdy. I'm Maerua (although this wasn't always my username). I migrated from Neopets, came to Gaia for dressup and games, and stayed for the plot and roleplaying.
The main strength of Gaia's universe was its flexibility for all kinds of stories. Recent events are taking that away, and I'd prefer that the setting not be turned into a lifeless husk.

Hey hey, Rime here. I've been on this site since early 2004, and while I don't want to wave the nostalgia flag, I will say that the manga is what gives the site life, imo. It makes it a world, and not just a strung together collection of forums. It's certainly what made me join and kept me super interested in the early days.
The Trial of Ian is the first significant part of the plot that I was deeply interested in, I think. I thought it was really cool that they were going to do something so dramatic, and not just have "tee hee, we're frolicking" stories all the time.
The amount of user involvement in the Zurg story was really cool to me, too, though I know it caused some backlash, too. I just thought it was neat that people were being represented in the manga, it made the world seem more real.
The one that got me the most emotionally involved, I think, was the Sen vs Seer one, for Halloween. Oh, I felt so burned about the potatoverseer thing, I think it made me take a step back from it all a bit. It's all good now, with the anniversary release of the original BOO skin, but for a long time that rankled with me and I didn't want to get so involved.
Even with my involvement in E-corp, and the whole saving EB from getting written out of the story, I didn't get as involved in my head as I had with that plot. ^^; I rejoiced when his story got completed, of course, though I have my own opinions on his... transformation. ^^;
Of course, though, the plot is central to Gaia for me. Without it, as I said, it feels kind like it's just a random collection of forums. So if you need something done, and I can do it, I'll do it. smile I've got a digital signature from when we did that in E-corp, so if you want to do that, I'll send it your way. smile

Hello there. I found out about this place from Arlette Mori's signature. 4laugh I wanna help spread the word and do what ever I'm able too.
My favorite parts in the Gaia plot would have to be anything Gambino related. xd Usually anything that effects Gaian avatars during events were the most fun for me as well. I can't forget the zOMG! plot either! I don't think they finished it beyond Labtech X guy, wasn't there suppose to be more? I forgot... emo Or was that just the end. sweatdrop

Nikko Roseus I can't forget the zOMG! plot either! I don't think they finished it beyond Labtech X guy, wasn't there suppose to be more? I forgot... emo Or was that just the end. sweatdrop There's the beginnings of a vampire plot in zOMG! (with Kamila, Alastor, Deva, and the Von Helson twins) but sadly that's about the last of the actual in-game activities. sad I've been interested in what they were planning for the House on the Hill and the House under the Hill, but... no devs or anything. [sob] Then there's always Gnoman's Land, Otami Underworld, Durem Mines... and even the Zurg were hinted at returning in the zOMG! plot... ( there are Zurg skulls in HPR and Crypt in DMS ) Not to mention that there was a UFO enemy that only the Developers could spawn... //blahblahblah

 `.Hello, my name is Elske, and I am here to support the cause!
It's not often you find a website that has so much life left in it ten years down the line. I'd hate to see so much potential for more interesting stories, developments and features just be abandoned. Adding bits of story to new developments adds a unique touch that I think Gaia would be silly to give up on.
While the new trend in high quality items is a feast for the eyes, I think that the soul of Gaia is the world we interact with here! It's going to take more than just pretty things to keep users coming back for ten more years.
I hope we can keep the life and soul of this world going strong!

My name is Mirastella (aka Mira).
I would love the Gaia Manga Plot to survive or at least a chance to, so that I can actually start with my dream plan to make a OC side plot, including the Sentry Security group.
...And I love bunnies and I don't have one. ;--;

Hello, I'm Pwnder VC @ Revolution: Gaia and currently I like sinking gold twisted
The manga and plot is a large part of our community because it can bond us all together in away, and has over the last 10 years. With the way the economy is heading I'd hate to see yet another feature abandoned to focus more on monetization. sad
