Luna glanced at him, she really felt no warmth in that smile like she did Sol. Maybe he was faking?

Still smiling, Aoi followed behind Sol and Luna like a good injured person, though he found it curious how the hospital staff didn't escort their discharged patients to the door in a wheelchair like all normal hospitals did. But, then again, this was Kuro Shiro and it was a weird town. He shrugged it off. No point in wasting time thinking about hospitals when his body ached.

Tachibana sat outside the hospital, smoking another cigarette. The hospital staff kicked him out because smoking was forbidden inside. Kuò was beside him, filling him in on the business he missed out on since arriving in this tiny town.

As soon as Fuyuki was properly evaluated and given the proper treatment his conditions required, Tachibana had to leave for his office in San Francisco. He had been away for far too long. He worried the authorities were sticking their putrid human noses into his affairs again. Why couldn't they learn he was a legitimate businessman? They could never prove he had underworld dealings; and even if they found some evidence, nothing could be pinned on him.

Huffing, Tachibana snuffed out his cigarette and motioned for Kuò to stop talking. All this talk of legitimate business was giving him a massive headache.
"Have you hear back from the main family?" he asked Kuò.
"Yes, they left a message about setting up a web-cam meeting once you return to your office. The clan elders are disturbed by this matter," said Kuò as he shuffled through his tablet, looking for the message.
Tachibana had little interest in it.
"You'd think those old farts would care more about their precious 'gift' to the Kami," he grumbled.

Fuyuki was an important dragon in their clans. The only white one to ever be born within their bloodlines. His parents had not produced an offspring like him again since his hatching, which made him all the more precious to the clans. Yet the old bags of scales weren't doing s**t about Fuyuki almost dying at the hands of that piece of filth Porath. Tachibana would kill him as soon as they met again.

Fuyuki wondered where Tarvainth and the Wilde sisters were as he was lying in bed, utterly bored and filled with needles galore. One for IV, one for something else. He had no one, but the friendly nurses to talk to, but they were busy with their other patients; and they only came in every once in awhile. He was so bored.

It was Tatsuo's fault for getting kicked out of his room. He should know better than to smoke in an American hospital. They didn't have smoke rooms in hospitals like they do back home.
"So bored," he grumbled as he drifted off to sleep.

Shiro appeared in Fuyuki's room, seemingly out of nowhere. She cast a sad glance at the state Fuyuki was in, all those needles. "I apologize for showing up announced and also for not being able to help heal you more. But at the moment, something is requiring a lot of my power." Keeping a creature like a dragon in a form they couldn't sustain themselves was indeed tiring, even for her.

"I had to come though," she said as she walked closer to his bed, cradling something in her arms, "someone was worried sick about you, even if he wouldn't admit it." Slowly the form she was cradling in her arms, shifted and peered out from her shoulder. He looked as small as a toddler, but he had a knowing look in his eyes that suggested much older age and suffering. He had deep amber eyes and raven black hair.

Shiro lowered the toddler onto the side of Fuyuki's bed, and patted his shoulder. "Go on Tarvanith, say hello."

Tarvainth was still uncomfortable in this form, but Miss Shiro said it would help heal. So tentatively, and with the clumsiness of someone who had to think about his movements carefully in order to make his body move, he patted Fuyuki's leg. "I'm sorry, Fu."

Shiro shook her head. Tarvainth blamed himself for everything. "I'm keeping him this small to heal him, though I know it's a bit ridiculous. I can help heal his wounds more easily is he's small and keep him safe, though it does require a lot of me to contain a dragon like this." She explained, looking down at Tarvainth. "He never learned how to have a human form, so I have to sustain it for him. But once he's better physically, I will let him have his form back. Though if he is willing, I will try to teach him how to gain his human form himself."

Fuyuki roused himself from his drowsy fog when Miss Shiro walked into his hospital room carrying a small bundle. In his drug-filled haze, he could not think of a single thing that the bundle could be, so it came as a big surprise when it was tiny Tarvainth.

Wait, that was right. He faintly remembered Miss Shiro turning Tarvi-kun into a tiny human. Gathering the toddler of a dragon in his arms, Fuyuki touched foreheads with his friend. He listened to the apology Tarvi-kun must have told him a thousand times before; and he listened as Miss Shiro explained the situation to him, but it really did not matter all that much to him. Fuyuki knew one thing, and it was the only one that mattered to him at the moment.
"Congratulations on being free, Tarvainth. If you want, I can help teach you, too. How to be human, that is. It can be fun, and you'll be able to get into places you'd never have been able to before. You'll be able to see animals that would normally run away from you. You'll have so much fun, Tarvi-kun. I promise." Fuyuki would never let his friend feel the cruel lash of a whip or searing pain of fire again.

Tarvainth looked up at Fuyuki. "You still wish to be near me? I caused this." He looked around at Fu's injuries with his old eyes. Sad old eyes.

Shiro shook her head in the background. Tarvainth would have so much mental healing to do, long after he was physically well. She intended to see him much happier one day. "I've tried explaining to him, but that... man... had him for so many years, it's hard for him to understand."

{Enter Lucien Tokeran}

Lucien drifted gently onto the tarmac outside the hospital, several yards away from the man the winds claimed was the dragon enlisted by the yakuza. The man certainly fit the businessman-like impression some people got from the gang, though he was not sure of the other one beside him. Lucien took care to slowly materialize with both palms facing outwards to show he was unarmed. "I hope I am not interrupting anything important, if so I sincerely apologize. I'm Lucien Tokeran, I currently speak for the winds of Kuro Shiro since our Lord Ollor left following some events on the mountain." Lucien by this time had finished materializing and had begun to walk closer in a disarming manner and a light smile on his face "I understand you were involved Tachibana, and if you were so inclined I would like to ask you and the others inside a few questions. I need to put my winds at ease, else the weather could get rather unpredictable. I trust you understand." Lucien finished with a light bow of his head. He never took his eyes off of either men.

Fuyuki ruffled the black mass that was Tarvainth's hair and smiled at him. Exhausted beyond belief after his ordeal and filled with drugs, Fuyuki couldn't rest anymore when he had a friend before him in such a state. "Friends never abandon each other," he said as he adjusted his sitting position. Hospital beds were not suited for important conversations like these. "Aside from that, Porath used you as a weapon against me. What you did wasn't you, it was him using you because you didn't want to get hurt; you didn't want to die. No one ever wants to get hurt or die. Nothing is wrong with self-preservation, Tarvainth."

Glancing up once to assess Miss Shiro's reaction, though he did not desire her approval, Fuyuki told Tarvi one last bit of reassurance. "And if you ever doubt yourself, it's alright since you've just started to heal. And if your heart begins to waver, whether it's about your newly gained freedom or our friendship, I'll be by your side telling you that you are good, you are kind, and you are my friend. And, over time, I'm sure you'll meet other people who will tell you the same thing." Now a wide, dopey grin was stretching from ear to ear on his face. Fuyuki would need to be patient with Tarvainth because one day, Tarvainth would be as proud as any member of the dragon race.

Tachibana gave a sour expression in the direction of the young man who interrupted his smoke break, but he remained silent because of two reasons: This man wasn't yet fully materialized and he spoke just like wind spirits, which meant everything came out in one breath. How annoying. Winds were annoying, just like the clan elders. He didn't want to talk to this man...Lucien Tokeran. "Kuò. Speak." Tachibana took another drag from his cigarette as Kuò obeyed his command.
"The trafficker is named Porath. He is young—compared to Chairman Tachibana and myself—with this judgement based on the approximate age of Tarvainth, the black dragon, which would be two thousand and so years.

"Mr. Porath lacks respect for the law and life. From his words alone, it can be assumed that he thinks himself above all non-humans—"

Tachibana watched as Kuò paused and glanced at him, obviously peeved—well, it was obvious to Tachibana—that he had snorted during his explanation. His subordinate could be so cute sometimes.

"Mr. Porath also exhibits no respect for the affairs of others, human or not. During his confrontation with Chairman Tachibana, data was collected on his strength, fighting-style, etc. At the time, he was just a nuisance, but we suspect he is gathering his strength to return for his dragon, as well as young Master Fuyuki and any other dragon in Kuro Shiro."

Tarvainth still didn't understand. Everything that went wrong was his fault, he had always been told so. But not wanting to tell Fu that he was wrong, he simply lowered his head and leaned into the older dragon. He found Fu made him feel comfort... something he hadn't felt much before in his life with Porath. Mrs. Shiro made him feel that way too, she always spoke softly and calmly with him, accepting whatever mood he was in or words he spoke with patience and kindness.

Shiro's smile turned tender as she watched Tarvainth slump into Fu. She was glad to see there was a bond there. Something she noticed about Tarvainth's years of abuse was that it caused him to distrust others if they said they liked him. He didn't oppose anything he was asked to do to anything they said, he was mentally too weak for that. But he always believed it was because he was being used by whoever, not because they truly cared for him. It seemed he was getting close to being able to trust Fuyuki, and she had made small progress with him herself. At least he no longer believed she was his new 'owner', rather then a friend as she explained.

"If you don't mind, we'll stay for a bit," Shiro pulled up a chair, sitting herself where she could see them both. "You're good for him. Is that alright with you too, Tarvainth?" She made sure to ask him, reminding him he had free will now. He said nothing, but she watched one of his small hands grip harder onto Fuyuki, and she nodded to herself.

Lucien raised his eyebrows at their respective expressions, particularly Tachibana's, rather disappointed at how quickly they gave so little information. Tachibana is going to be a difficult man to get along with, since he clearly has no tolerance for wind spirits as is and prefers to use subordinates for conversation with others. Furthermore, he looks like he doesn't want to give any useful information. At least his expressions are out in the open, that's enough for let me know about him. Lucien concluded, keeping a placid face the entire time. Lucien turned his face to speak with Kuo, though he never removed his eye on Tachibana. "I appreciate the information Kuo, particularly the speculation on his future workings. Though the winds won't be happy that the Enslaver's alive still." Lucien said pleasantly, keeping his comment that he already knew that much and had speculated the same as to what he was doing, to himself. He redirected his face to Tachibana "The problem though, is that we need to know why Ollor left and thus the events that occurred in the cave. Miss Shiro is in the building and I would like to speak with her about Ollor. Furthermore the two other dragons currently, this Fuyuki and Porath's personal dragon, I'd like to ask them some questions as well. With your permission of course." Lucien finished, a light smile playing his lips. Tachibana wouldn't be able to stop Lucien if he wanted go, but power plays were a necessary thing for criminal groups. Tachibana clearly was protective of Fuyuki and seeking his permission would cut some needless posturing. He waiting expectantly for his answer.

Fuyuki nodded to Miss Shiro as he brushed a hand over Tarvainth's mop of hair. His friend was a precious existence, no one could convince him otherwise. The strength in Tarvi-kun's tiny hands told him so. The three of them had a long journey ahead of them helping him heal, but Fuyuki didn't doubt the strength of their resolve. He wouldn't abandon his friend now.

"Tarvainth," whispered Fuyuki before the silence could settle in, "I want you to know that you can tell me anything. If my words don't match with what you think, you can tell me. I won't ever ignore you. I'll listen, okay?" He was beginning to feel drowsy again, but he fought against it. Sleep could come later.

[These three will be the death of us.]

Kuò passively stood as the anger in his boss boiled over, yet his expression remained only mildly pissed. "...couldn't save her," he heard Boss mumble against his cigarette. Right. The storm spirit. Boss had given his word to rescue her, but they failed. Porath had drained her of all life energy, thus killing her, before making his escape.

Glancing at Mr. Tokeran, Kuò explained the meaning behind Boss' word. "Inside of Mr. Porath's whip, a storm spirit was held. Before he severed his bond with Tarvainth and made his escape, Mr. Porath killed the storm spirit. Her death upset Ollor. He departed a second later. That is all we know." Kuò glanced back at his boss and plucked his cigarette from between his fingers. He motioned for him to acknowledge Mr. Tokeran at the very least.

Tachibana sighed, his fury against the lousy elders lost to his fury against Porath and his own ineptness. Had he not fooled around, that storm spirit, she would still exist to cause ruckus to all who crossed her path. Porath would definitely pay for his actions, but Tachibana knew he had to keep his priorities in line.

The first of which would be to scold Kuò for taking his cigarette and smoking it with that subtle look of his.
"If Fuyuki is awake and willing, than you may, but my men will be posted outside his door in case anything happens," he finally said before standing up and cracking his neck. "Though I don't know what you'll get from him or Tarvainth. You can always ask that purple dragoness Fuyuki rescued from Porath in case you need more information. Maybe ask her why she didn't come back to help my little cousin." And with that, he turned away and walked to his car. Kuò followed like his shadow. He needed to calm down.

[Exit to someplace I haven't decided yet.]

Tarvainth looked up at Fuyuki, silently for a bit, a kind of curious expression on his face. "I...like you." He said finally, patting Fu's arm. "And...I like Shiro too." He didn't say it like he was complimenting them, more just stating a fact that confused him, waiting for someone to tell him what to do with those feelings.

Shiro couldn't help the smile that appeared on her face. Yes, Fuyuki was very good for Tarvainth. She moved to crouch down by the two of them near the hospital bed. "I like you too Tarvainth, and thank you." She smiled at him, thinking his confusion at the feeling would pass one day, and he would be able to tell them confidently and with a smile that they were friends.

Lucien noticed Tachiban's mutterings with some interest, but it became rather clearer for him once Kuo explained his words. So the boss does experience some guilt for what happened, interesting. However this talk of a storm spirit dying is not good. Even now, the winds within their vicinity were beginning to get riled up, dust and debris flying at random until he could calm them down. He also had to issue a silent order to keep this information to themselves, lest the whole land dissolve into chaos. And all this while listening to Tachibana, who finally decided to give him some attention beyond half-hearted replies. Lucien gave a brief bow of the head as Tachibana left with Kuo in tow, stowing away the information about this third dragon, the female dragon he dimly remembered from the ball the other day.

After taking a moment to collect himself, he dissolved into wind and flowed through the hospital until he found the well-guarded door Tachibana described. It appears that this Fuyuki is a little more important than just the little brother of Tachibana to merit all this. Food for thought. He reformed several yards away and informed the guards that he Tachibana's permission to enter, noting how frugally they guarded the room. Once past them, he knocked on the door a few times before entering with a light smile. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything. Good day Lady Shiro, a pleasure seeing you again. And it's a pleasure to meet you as well Fuyuki and ... Tarvainth." He said, pausing slightly as he was supplied the name of the third occupant of the room. He gave a deep bow to Lady Shiro and generous ones to both of the others. I was informed that the name of the Enslaver's dragon was Tarvainth, he must have some ability with shape-shifting or someone shifted him for ease. Lucien thought offhandedly as he quickly observed the room before continuing "I'm Lucien Tokeran, I speak for the winds of Kuro Shiro. I was wondering if I could ask a few questions regarding the events of the cave. Since everyone came down, Ollor has gone missing, apparently gone to the Wind Courts. If you feel up for it of course, I understand completely if you don't Fuyuki." Lucien said, keeping a passive but pleasant face all the while. He could clearly see that Fuyuki was fighting sleep for his friends and would be presumptuous to assume that the dragon would do the same for him.
PostPosted: Fri Apr 01, 2016 6:05 am

Fuyuki grinned and hugged Tarvi-kun, though he was careful not to hug him too tightly, or else his friend would be hurt. "I like you, too, Tarvi-kun. Let's stay friends forever." He was really happy Tarvi-kun liked him. It made their friendship even better.

But happy moments couldn't last forever. Fuyuki should have known better, yet he forgot about his entire situation for the duration of his conversation with Tarvi-kun and Miss Shiro. Unfortunately, he recalled it all when a young human smelling of the wind walked into the room. The human was long-winded and well-mannered.
Maybe a little too polite, he thought as the human gave a deep bow to Miss Shiro and even a few generous bows to himself and Tarvi-kun. It wasn't like he wasn't used to other people bowing to him, but this kind of thing was out of place. Oh well. Nothing I can do.

Fuyuki sat up a bit straighter, pushing off his sleep as much as possible so he could answer whatever questions the human, Lucien Tokeran, had for him, aside from wanting to know about the situation in general. But he had one concern. "I don't want anything I say to trigger Tarvainth. His mental health is more important to me right now," he said as he adjusted his hold on Tarvi-kun, pulling him closer to his body as if that would shield him from the past. "I'll give you a summary, but I'll write down the details on a later date. I just don't want to hurt my friend." It was his wish not to harm Tarvi-kun, Mr. Tokeran would surely understand.

Shiro smiled at Lucien kindly and inclined her head. She was always fond of the Winds. "I would be happy to talk, if I can also do so away from Tarvainith. It will do him no good to revisit those events. However, we should take turns, so Tarvainth doesn't have to be without both of us at the same time." She knew that the poor dragon needed a friend he could trust with him at all times for now, to help hold him together. And right now, that list of names was two short.

"You can talk in front of me." Tarvainth said in a muffled voice from Fuyuki's chest. He didn't want to be an inconvenience.
