Oooh. Gotta love Megadeth. Their Youthanasia album is definitely in my top five favorite metal albums. You might like Sepultura. A bit heavier on the vocals, but the instrumentals sound like they have a strong in influence from Megadeth.
Hm yeah idk about the production quality on that one. I'm pretty picky when it comes to metal though. I keep wanting to get back into it then going ugh to all of it. It's probably because I'm spoiled by how great Iron Maiden is.

Blind Guardian is alright. They got a few songs I like. "Majesty" and "A Script for My Requiem" Newer bands usually have more clear sound quality if that's what you're talking about. You might like Dream Evil or Masterplan. Jorn, the lead singer from Masterplan, has some pretty good solo stuff, too.

xxx Though not interested much by black metal, I do listen to [and play] a fair amount of alternative metal, heavy metal and progressive metal. I would say that my most frequented band of the aforementioned genres would be Dream Theater, however some other groups that I enjoy include Avantasia, Slipknot, Tool, and Volbeat.

My man. :D It's not often I meet a fellow Avantasia fan. I used to be really in to Dream Theater, Tool, and Slipknot as well. Using your tastes as a reference, I'monna have to check out Volbeat. I don't suppose you've listened to any Iced Earth?

xxx You might be amidst the first few Avantasia fans that I've been acquainted with on Gaia, actually; it's certainly not an abundant community. xxx Volbeat isn't strictly metal, though they include rock and roll fusion as well as some rockabilly aspects. A considerable amount of people that I've introduced to the band have had some difficulty with it, though I enjoy them, nonetheless. xxx I have listened to Iced Earth, actually. Granted, it's been a while.
xxxEdit: You may also be interested in Devin Townsend, if you aren't already acquainted.
I swear, is it me, or does everyone in the songs you linked sound like Bruce Dickinson?
And omg I completely forgot about progressive metaaaaaaaaaal. Progressive in general is just superior subgenre of music mmm yes. I need to hear more than just Panic Attack, though it's very pretty song.

Both of you should check out Pretty Maids. Brutal name for a metal band, eh?
Devin Townsend Project was interesting. Not really something I could see myself getting into, though. I was more fond of Volbeat. You might like Spock's Beard. Going out on a bit of a limb, you might like Pagan's Mind.
Copper Shenanigans
I don't quite hear it. Though, I've been listening to Jorn's vocals for a long time. He's my second favorite; right next to Ronnie James Dio. When you say Panic Attack, are you talking about the song by Dream Theater? Because that song is a personal favorite of mine.

Any black metal fans in this guild down to discuss music?
An a fan of music your definitions can be different from everyone else's. But overall when you say "black metal" does it have to be the Norweigian, corpse paint, Death/cold/Satan kind? Have you heard Liturgy? After hearing these guys, I think the term "black metal" could be applied to anything incorporated fast guitar picking, blast beats, and shrill screams. But you know people, they get very upset if you call anything that's not Death/cold/Satan "black metal".

I'd say it's closer to death metal. Regardless, I'm diggin it. Very... Unconventional. You may like Naglfar. Similar vocals.
xxx I had heard both Adrenaline Mob and Pretty Maids in the past, however not Pagan's Mind nor Spock's Beard. The latter is quite interesting; I've intentions of listening further into their work. The lyrical aspect hasn't entirely caught my attention, though I've only just now heard "East of Eden, West of Memphis". xxx Pagan's Mind had some curious traits and chances are that I will look more into them, but Spock's Beard did prove more my genre of preference, if not solely resultant of the electronic implementation.

Puppet on a String Theory
Spocks Beard's newer work would be much more in your alley if you're looking at the technical aspect. Here's another song from that album which is worth listening to. Pagan's mind is nice to listen to, but to really enjoy it, you should focus on the drumming. The drummer from Pagan's Mind, Stian Kristoffersen, is my favorite drummer in any band; hands down.

xxx Spock's Beard is certainly a band that I strongly appreciate the recommendation for. They remind me a considerable amount of Dream Theater, actually, from which my style as a musician is predominantly derivative.
