Cervus moved to kneel beside the now adolescent fey and smiled softly. "Congratulations, Conjurer Pappila, it seems you are one step closer to assuming the mantle of your father." He laid a gentle hand on the girl's head a moment before rising again and moving to clasp Aesculus' shoulder. "If you will look after them, dear one, I must go tell Sajhiri and Lilium the grand news." Without further ado, the king departed.

"We are well, and I hope you are well as well?" Filix replied, resisting asking about Lilium. How did you say to your King, 'And how is your princess? She was drinking and depressed at the saloon, so I'm wondering if she's feeling better now?'
"...She did?" Filix blinked at Aesculus, a little surprised by that. "Well, that's wonderful news! At least, about her giving you a gift. Her tastes seem to be of a 'higher quality' in her mind, so I wouldn't pay that much thought."
Her attention was stolen away, when Pappila let out a cry of pain. Filix froze, her eyes going wide as she watched the toddler become engulfed by the light. She knew it would be for the best in the end, but it was horrible to see the young girl in pain!
Filix's eyes went wider still when the light subsided, and the teenage girl was revealed in the place of the toddler. Pappila was beautiful! Not that Filix expected any less, not with how sweet Pappila had been as a child.
Filix fell to her knees beside Pappila, while making sure there was room for Eirnae's clinging and gently reached out to brush some of the hair out of Pappila's face. "Are you all right? I can go get you some water... there must be some somewhere in the castle, I'll gladly go run for some?"

Alces had just entered the area the others were in, having come to put back a book he had been reading. He was distracted however by by the cries of pain. It didn't occur to him right away that someone was just growing up so he hurried his pace to see what was going on. As he rounded the corner his jaw dropped when he noticed the others as well as the 'stranger' which was now just Pappila all grown up!
He rushed over as well and went to stand next to Aesculus, "Did this just happen?" he asked him curiously.

Pappila manages to move her lips upwards in a small smile when Cervus comes near and touches her head briefly, her silent way of saying 'thank you' at a time when words are hard to come by. When Filix comes near, however, she finds that she has regained enough muscular control to murmur to her friend, "Water would be...nice, thank you." Wait, did she just say that without any hinderance to her voice at all? Her voice sounds funny as well... That's strange.
Eirnae releases the breath she did not realize she was holding and hugs Pappila a little tighter before half releasing her to allow her Fey to breathe. "How are you feeling, hon?" she asks with concern still evident in her tone.
Pappila first looks over to Aesculus before replying to her Kithain, as he spoke to her first. "Thank you for your reassurances, kind Aide. I am not ashamed that I cried out, merely sorry for causing anyone worry." She smiles a little wider when she twists a bit to reply to Eirnae, "Not my best, but I'm getting better."

"Indeed, my friend." He frowns a little. "I fear Cervus had to go, so he left me to tend to our newly grown mage. She is quite fatigued, and I am not so sure I will be able to carry her to to her room. Once Filix has fetched her water, do you think that you may perhaps be able to carry her? As gentlemen, I feel we ought to try before we ask if of her Kithain." He motions to Eirnae, who he clearly feels is just as much of a lady as the Fey present.
"Do not worry about causing us concern, young mage. It is our duty to fret about one another, for we are all as a family." He sees the hypocracy in his words, but chases out his self-chastising thoughts. Those can wait; he has a more important duty at hand.

He cringed slightly as he said, "I do hope she didn't have to undergo too much pain during the transformation." He let out a relieved sigh when he was sure that no one had gotten injured...well for the most part. Other than the pain caused by the transformation. "Yes, certainly. I would be glad to do so." He gave a nod of his head towards Eirnae as a greeting, then doing the same to Filix and Pappila.

Filix nodded, leaning forward to give Pappila a very careful hug, and then stood up. She walked out of the library as calmly as possible, and the second she was out of the eyes of everyone who might see her behavior as very un-Countess like, Filix took off down the halls at a run, down the stairs, down another hall, down those stairs... till she finally found where she could get Pappila water. Filix found she glad that she was fit, or else this castle would take the life out of her before she'd managed to get to the second floor again!
She started up the stairs again at a slower pace, the mug of water held carefully in her hand. It took Filix longer, but she finally reached the third floor's hall with no water spilt, and made her hurried way down towards the library again. She kneeled beside Pappila, gently closing Pappila's hand around the drink. "Here, I did not have to go far."
All right, it was a lie. But Filix hid that tiny fact, too busy worrying about her friend's state to care. She never had to go through this again, so there was nothing wrong with fussing over other people!

"Thank you," Pappila says sincerely as she accepts the mug, bringing it to her lips to sip at the water inside, sputtering for a moment before being able to swallow the clear liquid. She then looks up, somewhat startled at the words Alces and Aesculus are exchanging. "Oh no, I don't need anyone to carry me! Honestly, I'll be able to move..." She tries, and not even one of her wings twitches at her bidding.
....
Dang it all. Pappila sighs, her head falling slightly as she realizes she isn't going anywhere without assistance any time soon. "I just need a little bit of time?"
Eirnae chuckles and nods to Alces and then Aesculus. "If you two would help, then I'm sure we could at least get her into a chair instead of being on the floor."

"It's a marvel that you and your sister share any blood at all," Aesculus muses aloud to Filix, before returning his attentions to the protesting of the blue-haired Fey. For a moment he seems amused, raising his brow at her before he moves to speak.
"You show more strength, lady Pappila, by asking for help where it is warranted than struggling on your own. Herald Alces here is a true gentleman- he is always trying to make the others feel welcome. I fear he is much stronger and more gregarious than I- I have been a hermit of late, laid up in bed with sickness."

Alces gave a kind smile to Pappila and then Eirnae when she wasn't able to move even though she had tried. Alces looked like he was trying to keep himself from blushing at the compliment as he shook his head at Aesculus. "Nonsense! I'm sure you're just as strong as I. You have just simply not been feeling well, that's all. Which by the way, I hope you are doing much better." He finished with a nod as he began walking over towards Pappila and knelt down to offer her his arm so he could help her to her feet than pick her up and carry her to the chair of her choice.

Filix raised an eyebrow at Aes, but she grinned and shrugged. "She got mother's beauty, and pride, I got my father's will, and the leftover of Mother's looks. But I agree, it's like we're not related at all. Thankfully. I couldn't live with myself if I had her shallow mind."
Then she blinked, and added, "You've been sick? I didn't know! Are you all right now?"
Standing up, and back a bit, Filix let the males pick up the poor hurt female, her lips curving up in a slight smirk. It was amusing, really, to see how they were fawning over Pappila... but she was beautiful, and she did need help to be picked up. Filix would have offered, but it seemed Pappila had a list of already willing volunteers?

"I'm quite fine now, Countess Filix, but I must respectfully disagree. While she may have your mother's pride, I gather to say that your much more approachable and thoughtful inward beauty far outshines any physical, fleeting beauty that Rosa may cling to." He says this with no great flourish or zeal, as if he is simply stating a fact... of course, this statement is flattering, but he thinks more of reassuring her that her sister is no more than mere gizzards compared to her.

"It's such a shame when your walking along the castle, having a perfectly lovely evening and.. your ears start burning. Sure, sure, I expect betrayal and gossip but from my own sister? Filix. Im hurt." Though the rather suddenly appeared figure of a woman half leaning in the doorframe spoke to a few direct people, her eyes and voice were far more concerned with obsevering the newly grown butterfly.
"Ah, and my life worsens. I suppose, though, there must be a fitting number of beautiful women to lurk around. Aesculus might just explode if he didnt have a few pretty hands to step all over." With a brush of her hair, Rosa gave Alces a quick smile before looking around, obviously never being in the library before. Go figure.

Pappila smiles as she is helped up, trying to regain her footing with moderate success, at least right up till Alces scoops her up and carries her over to the nearest chair to sit her down in it gently. That's when she is forced to realize that she is...bigger. Much bigger. She sits there blinking in surprise before recovering and looking over at Alces so she can say, "Thank you, I appreciate your help. Only..." She looks over to where her water mug is now on the ground. "I hate to ask this, but could someone get me my water?" She flushes slightly, embarassed that she needs to ask something so small to be done for her, her independent spirit balking at the thought.
She then looks over to Filix and nods, "Aide Aesculus was sick for some time. I was concerned for his well being, he was in his chambers for so long." Best not to mention her visit while he was sick and she was still small, as odd a thought as that is.
Eirnae gets up from the floor as well, brushing off her night leathers for a few moments in silence before she looks over to Aesculus to comment on his earlier words, "Sounds as though you ought to listen to your own advice, Aesculus, but I'm sure you know of that already." She straightens and starts to head for the exit out of the library. "I'll be right back, everyone. Pappila, I'll go and fetch some herbs that ought to help you recover faster, alright?" She steps into a shadow and then disappears altogether, yet another shadowdancer trick.
EDIT: Eirnae completely ignores Rosa, and for damn good reason. She was tempted to give the girl a good pinch on the side as she passed, but in the end common sense won out and she instead opted for the cold shoulder.
Pappila looks up and studies the female framed by the doorway, and then closes her eyes again to try and rid herself of the sight. "Beauty without purpose is wasteful," she murmurs, mostly to herself.

"You're very welcome." Alces smiled as he took a step or two back and asked, "Are you comfortable?" Just to make sure. He glanced over at her water and nodded, "Oh yes, hold on." He walked over and grabbed the mug to bring it back to her. "There you are Lady Pappila." He wondered just what her title was and waited a while before finally asking. "If I may ask, what is your title exactly?"
"Oh, hello Countess Rosa!" He exclaimed happily and gave her a small wave from where he stood.
