same, death in the family has really screwed with me. plus work.

Nehelini looked up at Toki, squeaking with every little claw poke. The child was scared yes then after seeing the adult approach starting to calm down. Nehelini squirmed out from under the small creature to stand shaking. He heard his Uncle...but the male wasn't even close.

"E-elder T-toki...is that you?" the child asked shakily. It was dark so his vision was poor.

*hugs* Don't worry about it! Take the time you need.

Toki plucked his Fae's off of the boy and growled at them. Kashi sulked and muttered balefully while Peshi mewed sadly.

"It is me." He said softly. "And you should be closer to your family's camp. Being out in the darkness is not good. Night time is when the predators come out." They were close, but desert hunters tended to be quick and silent: when young children, creatures or anything wandered too far away from the herd or group they got eaten.

The child got up and hid at the adult's side. Toki was a whole lot better than what he thought was around here, "I-I-I'm sorry...Elder...I stayed where I could hear my Uncle...I guess...i wandered too far..."

The child didn't know why he was close to the Kehorian...Toki scared him slightly. But the child did know that the male was a heck of a lot better than running into something stronger which would make him into the midnight snack. He looked up at the two fae dragon's in curiosity.

Toki shook his head as the kid hid by his side. A child was a child, no matter what race. "Come along .. Nehili correct? I'll take you back to your camp. You aren't that far off." His claw reached out and grabbed Kashi as she tried to slink away. "You stay with your brother," he said softly. "No more pranks." She pouted and complied. Sulking as she and Pesha curled up an Toki's back.

It was but a few moments before Toki was at the camp. The child hadn't gone too far, but far enough that other predators would consider pouncing.

Nehelini looked up at the elder male as he was lead back to his family, "Elder Toki, thank you." his voice was small a perfect reflection of how young the child was.

Jaxirus was relieved when he saw the child being brought back, "Elder Toki. Oh by the grace of the Plane above...Hatchet. Don't do that again!"

Nehelini gave the Elder a hug before running back to his family. Baruin was sitting up but unmoving as he listened intently to the conversation. Jaxirus gave the other male a nod of thanks, "My gratitude Elder. Nehelini is a precious child."

Wrapping this up since it's a good point~

Toki gave Nehelini a pat on the head as his leg got hugged before turning to go.
"All children are precious," he responded to Jaxirus before leaving. "Try to stay closer to your guardians in the future child!"

Well, now that the child was returned to his family, Toi figured he should head to his lair, he'd been out long enough. Time to go home and lecture the Orakoir and try to teach them magic, thinking and medicinal pants...
