Solo RP The Meaning of a Name The lavender eyed child sat on the wooden counter kicking his bare feet as he watched his "Uncle" bustle about the kitchen. Rhys was a interesting male, the child liked to watch from time to time. The male was an Orderite who was peaceful in every sense of the word, a calming presence the young Dovaa had quickly gotten used to. Nehelini watched as Rhys stirred the pot in front of him. The child giggled when his Uncle Jaxirus walked in to wrap his arms around Rhys' waist and lay a tender kiss to the smaller male's temple. Rhys patted the arms around his waist as he lifted the ladle to inhale the scent of the stew. Nehlini blinked, "Uncle Rhys...is the stew ready?"Rhys chuckled as Jaxirus actually jumped, the smaller male knew the child was there. Jaxrius tended to overlook the rather quiet child who really needed a bell in the elder's mind. Rhys nodded, "Just a little longer Nehelini." "Hatchet don't pester Uncle Rhys. That's Uncle Jaxirus' job." the cool calm voice of the eldest of the child's siblings resounded from the wooden table where the eldest child was gently associating himself with common objects he would use. It was something that he started doing after the healer tended to his now scarring eyes. Rhys blinked, there is was again. That name...Hatchet. He looked up at Jaxirus. "Jax...love. Why is it sometimes I hear you and Ru call Linny: Hatchet?" the male was curious. He kept a steady pace with the stew, making sure that it was thickening correctly. The male turned off the fire and set in on a cooling plate sitting in wait on the counter. Nehelini got curious too, "Yeah, why is that Uncle? I've been called Hatchet all my life for some reason."Baruin snorted. Jaxirus blinked as he looked utterly serious, "Let me tell you both a story. One day my family was celebrating the arrival of a small blue toned Dovaa. This little one was nearly his father's double in looks. There was a catch however. The child breathed yes, but they had yet to utter a single sound. The as the child's mother tickled under his chin. His little face sruchned up...and..."Jaxirus looked to Baruin, even if the youth was blind. His instincts were sharp as he took over the story, "He sneezed. Though it wasn't your ordinary sneeze. The child said one word with this sneeze; Hatchet." Nehelini blinked then looked between his two elders, "I don't believe you." he muttered grumpily. Rhys repressed a snicker as Jaxirus reached out to tickle under Nehelini's chin. It was a surefire way to get a--- "Ha-chit!" the child sneezed. Then blinked in what could of been seen as horror. Rhys slowly reached out as Jaxirus chuckled. The eldest Dovaa letting out a small yelp as a ladle smacked his hip. Rhys held the now pouting and extremely upset child that was Nehelini. The child blinked as some of the spices tickled his nose, "Ha-chit!" he sneezed again. Baruin smiled, "See. Hatchet." Final Count: 511 ~

The night found Little Nehelini leaning over his small journal as he scratched out his latest adventure. The child thought back over his little mistake. Finishing off the entry he wrote....
"So, I learned today that wandering is better left to the day time. That way I know what's around me. That and Uncle says he's getting me a bell...wonder what for...."

Reflection Of: An Oasis SoakOnce seated up on a rock by his brother, Baruin could hear Nehelini writing in his small journal. Chuckling the elder kept his nose out of the youngers mind. Nehelini smiled over at his brother as he wrote out the final sentence.... "Lesson learned: Never lean over water without making sure your Elder knows. Also, looking forward to taking lessons on swimming from Ta---Talla---Ta lou la....I think that's how you spell it...I should ask when we see him again."

Reflection Of: Aftermath of the AttackIt was early the next morning which found little Nehelini at his journal, his writing was slower now since he was trying to word things. He blinked at a few curious Orakoi smiling as the babies prodded him to play before being called away by their mothers. He nodded to himself before hearing Tallulah call for him, writing out the final phrase he ran to his current guardian.... "I don't like being away from my Uncles or Brother, but its going to be okay. Through this I'll get stronger. I'm already learning so much being around Tallulah and Eyphah's family. I can't wait to show my Uncles and Brother how much stronger I've become."

Nehelini Gets a Reward AKA: How Nehlini gets his luck staff!
The child looked down at the staff which was a little too big for him, but that was all right. He looked at the off white....sorta tan color it gave off. Only a small part of him wondering what the orb felt like. He looked around the empty cave he was left in for the moment. Tallulah and Eyphah had gone out to talk with the Galil female who led the small gaggle of Khehoran's. Which left the small child alone for the time being. Recalling how the dark khehorian male simply walked into some little side chamber rummaged through a few bundles and procured the staff. Nehelini nearly dropped it as Eyphah had tossed it at him.. Blinking he listened as Eyphah called it a 'Luck Staff', adding on that it was something shiny he found then later learned what two-leggers called it.
Now the child looked it up and down. Smiling as he felt Eyphah had given him the staff as a means of rewarding him for his bravery against the Mara. That meant the elder thought of him a little bit more higher. Nevermind the female Grrel, she made Nehelini feel small and...really unwanted. He hoped she would change her mind later. He gave it a experimental twirl. Misjudging the height to him ratio he smacked himself squarely on the head. Squeaking loudly he dropped the staff with a clatter and wrapped his arms over his head. Pouting at the staff laying innocently on the ground.
'Staff of luck huh....more like staff of pain!' the child thought bitterly as he toed the staff away. Rubbing his head he glanced back down and retook the staff. Making sure not to get the foolish idea of twirling it. He wondered if he could get some sort of strap for his back for it.

Solo RP The Choosing of the Path Soon after his battle with the Peisio Water Dragons, Nehelini and Tallulah were found by a male orderite. After a few bewildering moments, Nehelini in his excited chatter introduced Tallulah to his Uncle Rhys. The gentle orderite merchant was kind as he thanked the Khehoran male for taking care of Nehelini. The child held back his tears as he looked up at the towering male he had come to see as a friend. With a resolute farewell, Nehelini returned with Rhys to where Jaxirus and Baruin were apparently left. Nehelini looked up at Rhys, "Uncle Rhys, how did you find me?"Rhys smiled sweetly down at the child, "My dear Lin. We were passing near the shore as apart of the secondary path we have remember? I heard fighting and then remembered your scream. I heard it once while you were suffering a nightmare. I rushed over, saw you with the Khehoran. I can only assume that male would br the one I heard of....uhm...""Tallulah. Though there were two that helped me, Eyphah is the other." Nehelini explained. Rhys' smile never wavered, "Very well. So, as we near your shocked Uncle and overjoyed brother. I'll extend the offer for you to tell us of your adventure."True to his words, the child found himself swept into his elder brothers arms. He giggled and as the small family settled down Nehelini told them all of his last few months with the Khehoras. By the end of his tale, the child was sure of a few things. One- Uncle Jaxirus had really big eyes, Two- Baruin looked so smug for some reason and Three- Uncle Rhys had really good control over his tears. The child sat, realizing another thing...he was sitting a tad taller now. He shrugged it off before his Uncle spoke; "You've...gotten stronger Nehelini. i suppose..strong enough now to seek out our leader. Tell me Nehelini, is your wish from your childhood still strong?"Nehelini didn't miss a beat, "Yes, I want to join you and Dad as Aiskala."Jaxirus leveled a stern look at the child, "I want you to be sure, Nehelini.""I am." the youth was firm. His elder sighed, "Then I want to tell you about your Father, my dear younger twin. Ullion. Uli was...and forever will be one of the most ferocious warriors I have ever seen. The man should of picked Friani with his temper, but chose to keep me company as our clan view the Aiskala in poor light. He was a gentle ally, but merciless foe. Tell me Nehelini. Why do you want to walk the path of ice? We aren't exactly your typical cuddle buddies."Nehelini blinked, "Dad may have been like you said, but my clearest memory of him is prue serenity. Where my Mom was energy to keep up with all of her children, Dad was the calmness we all naturally eased into." he paused to gather his thoughts, "I view Ice as calmness, serenity and a means to ease one's heart into the steadfastness it needs to survive this ever changing world."Jaxirus smiled, "Good answer." The male took out a pure ice blue orb, "Here. I finished what your Father started before he went missing. He left a note with it in my home. Said he was going to a battle nearby, but wanted to keep this in a safe place. You were the last child he expected to sire in this lifetime. They were going to make that battle their last in their career. Ironic how it was their last overall..."A lull settled over them. Rhys slipping his hand onto his beloved shoulder, Baruin lowering his head in silent prayer. Nehelini's eyes fell to the ground, sorrow for the parents he barely remembered. Jaxirus stood and placed the cool orb in Nehelini's lap, "Here. Take this. We're going to the planes to talk with Marcus. Its time for you to start your own journey."Nehelini stood, his chosen clan orb in his arms. It was time. Time for him to join the Aiskala. The small family started their long journey back to the Planes. It would be some time before Nehelini would see Tallulah or Eyphah again. He only hoped the two males would recognize him. Solo RP The First Meeting
Nehelini looked up at his Uncles. Baruin standing not too far away. The eldest son was going to take Nehelini into the Planes as their elders waited for them outside. Rhys wasn't allowed inside the Planes, while Jaxirus wouldn't enter without his mate. Nehelini gulped as Jaxirus placed both hands on his shoulders, “You'll be fine Nehelini. Remember, Uncle Evalos is waiting for you and your brother. Though Tylerain is with him...”
Nehelini blinked, “As much as I've missed Ty...this is going to be a interesting reunion. Baruin...think Ty got any better?”
Baruin shrugged, his mind elsewhere; “I suppose.”
The two brothers reentered the home they were born in, Nehelini clutching his wrapped parcel which contained the two souls he would offer. One Firani and one Peisio, the rest were safe in a chest back in his room at his Uncles main home. The youth looked around the area, inhaling the scent of home he had come to miss. He looked around the 'Drop Off' taking in the warm colors and bright light. He saw his Pieiso elder brother; Tylerain. The males telltale curled dark blue horns off-set by his fluffy pale blue hair. Nehelini giggled as he ran forward. Tylerain easily sweeping the youth up in a hug. Squeezing him tight, Tylerain's arms slackened as he saw the bandages around Baruin's eyes.
“What---” the male's ice blue eyes paled with his oncoming rage. A telltale sign which Baruin seemed to hear in his tone.
“Attacked. I wasn't prepared. Uncle Jax saved my hide tho...you should descend sometime. Uncle Jax is just like the stories we were told. His mate suits him, if not more so.” the eldest chuckled, “Chill.”
Tylerain sighed, “All right fine. So, why did you guys call for Uncle Evalos? Unless you meant Aunt Evalla?”
Baruin shook his head, “Nope. Uncle.”
Nehelini had walked away from the two males to the more stoic male standing behind Tylerain. Evalos was a battle hard male Piesio. Their mother's Elder brother. His dark blue horns were scuffed up as his deep blue eyes focused on the youth walking up to him.
“Nehelini.” his deep tone rumbled.
“Uncle Evalos. I have news from Unlce Jaxirus.” the youth said carefully. Evalos inclined his head for the other to continue, “He and Unlce Rhys are well. They hope to receive you and Tylerain as guests. Perhaps to celebrate my clan choosing. They hope to see every single child of Fathers and Mothers to celebrate this day.”
It was small, but Nehelini blinked at the smile he saw. Evalos nodded, “We shall see how your meeting with our Leader goes my young nephew.” he rumbled as one large hand settled on the youth's back; “He's waiting for you.”
The short journey to the Fortress was one the youth would forever remember. He had always vaguely recalled any trips to the City as his family is mainly settled in the Greenwood. All the sights of the tall buildings, the sounds of the bustling people. It all seemed to quiet and dull as they got further higher and closer to the Fortress itself. Nehelini paused and turned to look back to Baruin, the eldest son seemed to lift his head higher. The youth looked back taking a deep breath, he could do this. Evalos looked at the guards, “He's here.”
Nehelini's head snapped forward as he stated his name, “Nehelini Pardoiam, Aiskala Apprentice.” his voice was shaky, something all his elders present looked upward sending up mental prayers for the poor soul. Nehelini was led inside and to Marcus' main office. The youth was entranced by the paintings of the lower world. The sights, the landscapes, the Oasis!!! He let out a happy chirp; “I've been to this Oasis!!” he said happily.
A deep chuckle resounded behind him, “Then you were the one sent to Jaxirus Pardoiam on Serenia.”
A squeak was the leader's answer as Nehelini spun round, his grip slipping on his parcel as he went wide eyed. Marcus blinked, “That's a first...did I frighten you. Youngest offspring of Ullion and Vyanira Pardoiam?”
“A-a bit, S-sir....” he took a few breaths looking the Leader dead in the eye before realizing his place and looking down to the floor, “I...uhm....oh yeah! Souls...” he placed the two souls in view on a table inbetween them.
Marcus chuckled again, “Its all right to look me in the eye young one. I can recall your eldest brother, Baruin coming to me...” the male's long fingers trailed over the souls, “Though, like much of your siblings he didn't bring me a Firani and Piesio soul...did Jaxirus aid you in obtaining these? If so, the loss of his twin must of hardened him to some degree...making you face these dragons.”
Nehelini shook his head, “No sir...during the Mara attacks I was parted from my family. For several months I was travailing with a small clan of Khehora. Among them was one with who my family and I encountered before. He saved my life then, then again with the Mara attacks. I learned much while with them...these souls are proof of that.”
Marcus' eyes were unreadable, for a few heartbeats Nehelini was worried. Then he let out the breath he was holding when the elder placed a large warm hand on his shoulder, “I know your Father would be proud of you. Thank you for the offering young one. Return to your family. May Abronaxus forever watch over you and guide you on the path you feel to take.”
Nehelini smiled up at his Leader, “Thank you sir, may he also keep you well and whole.”
With that the youth was let back to his family who welcomed him back with open arms. Nehelini knew the path he felt to take would be hard, but...worth it.
