To say that Tallulah was a bit miffed with Eyphah was an understatement. The big Diabi had returned with Nehelini not that long ago with the both of them in a rather messy state. Both of them were covered in blood but only Nehelini was covered in his own blood. The boy had a wound on his shoulder, one he'd gotten during an impromptu dragon hunt, and upon seeing it Tallulah had nearly flipped out. He plucked the boy out of Eyphah's grasp before growling at the Diabi for letting Nehelini get hurt. Poor little whelp, how could Eyphah let him get hurt! Of course the Diabi had defended himself saying that the boy just needed more practice... but before he could say more Tallula had chased him off.

From there Tallulah had settled down next to the oasis, with Nehelini resting in his lap, and he set to work first cleaning him up. Once most of the blood had been washed away he'd set to healing the boy's deep wound. Despite his hard work on the wound he was able to see that it was going to scar, something that just made him want to hiss at Eyphah again. He really couldn't though, it was hard to stay mad at him when he, especially now given that he was currently cooking the meat he'd brought home with him. He was most likely hoping that cooking for Tallulah would get Eyphah back on the Merkora's good side once more.

It might very well be working, to a degree at least, because Tallulah wasn't yelling at Eyphah at the moment... but then again he wasn't paying attention to him either. Instead he still fretting over Nehelini who was still sleeping in his grasp, making him want nothing more then to hug him all that much more... only not at the moment while he was asleep.

Tallulah looked down at the boy as he came to, giving him a smile, before saying, "It will ache for a while yet, I healed it best that I could but the trauma isn't so easy for a body to forget. I am also afraid to say that you're going to have a scar there." He lifted a hand to sooth it against Nehelini's hand in a gentle manner. Poor little whelp, all scarred up and achy, then tended to be what happened when one went hunting with Eyphah since the Diabi was so hands on with his fighting. He never thought to bother with magic, couldn't even cast the simplest of spells. It made him feel that he really should be the one taking the little one out hunting if it was going to be like that. Not that Eyphah would let himself get counted out completely, that much Tallulah knew for certain.

"I know that hunting is exciting when it comes to doing so with Eyphah but perhaps next time you can see about allowing me along? That way I can tend to wounds a lot quicker and maybe help you to avoid anymore scars." He told the boy, then murmured, "Do you want to rest a while longer? You went through a lot and surely you must be tired still?"

Tallulah looked around a moment, then nodded, "It does tend to get cold at night on Eowyn." Normally they would take shelter in the caves given that Nehelini was less resilient then the Tallulah and Eyphah were, but with his injuries they hadn't been able to move. After a moment of thought he said, "Ah, I know." Shrugging out of the colorful, speckled shall he wore, and wrapped it around Nehelini to help to keep him warm, "How's that? Better I hope." Now, if only he had wings, he'd be able to better shelter him from the cold but alas that was something the Merkora lacked.

"Ah? No, no! We are going to find them, Nehelini, we just need to keep looking. Eowyn is a big place after all and if they are moving the same time we are moving... well, we are likely just missing one another is all." He said, hugging the boy closer to him, nuzzling against his hair, before he said, "We will keep looking, soon enough we will find them." And then Nehelini would go home... it was a thought that made Tallulah chest ache a bit just thinking about it but that was how things had to be. As much as he enjoyed taking care of the little whelp he knew that Nehelini didn't belong to him. He was just looking after him until they were able to find his missing family. Soon enough they would find them and hand him over, something that made Tallulah a little sad to think about.

Giving him a smile, knowing his own feelings weren't what was important, he said, "It will be alright. You just need to hold onto hope, and keep your eyes open when we are moving." He said, then hugged him a little closer before he said, "You should try to get some more rest. In the morning we will start the search again for them."

Tallulah smiled when Nehelini said that he was better, "Good, I am glad to hear that it's better. I wouldn't want you to be cold along with being achy." He said, soothing a hand against the boy's hair, then hugging him closer again, glad that he would be alright. He let the boy settle back into his lap before listening to what it was that he was saying, nodding a bit, "We will do our best to find our way to that route and hope that they have stuck to it." There was a chance after all that they might stray from it due to Nehelini being missing, but it was still a good place to start when it came to their search. They would keep looking until they found Nehelini's family because Tallulah knew that it was the right thing to do. He couldn't very well abandon the search after all and keep him, that wouldn't be very nice of them.

"Hm? Oh, yes, I agree. She is a wonderful leader and mother, she was nice enough to allow me into the clan when I visit even though I am not a Khehora myself. She does make me work for my place, of course, but that is only natural and I don't mind." He was good at healing so there was no reason not to ply his skills when and where they were needed. Tilting his head at the question Tallulah nodded, "Yes, both Eyphah's mother, as well as my own, are quite kind, but have to be strong at the same time. Especially when they are the leaders of a clan. What about your mother?" He asked curious about the woman. He hadn't met her when he met the other members of Nehelini's family, something that piqued his curiosity.

"Missing? Poor little whelp." Tallulah murmured, his eyes going a little wide before he snuggled Nehelini close for a moment, feeling a little bad for the cute little whelp. He was so young, not the sort that he would except to have lost his parents. At the same time he knew that not everyone had parents, some didn't have the parents that they were born from but were instead taken in by others. It seemed that Nehelini had that in common with Eyphah for instance. The Diabi had been raised by a Gaili mother who had found him after all, not by his own parents. The big difference being that Eyphah had no idea what had happened to them, didn't know if they were alive, and had no allegiance to them. Nehelini seemed different though, sounding as though he still cared about them even if he didn't know them.

Letting the boy settle back into his lap again he said, "Don't worry, I will do my best to make sure that you find your way back to your uncle and Baruin." He knew that it was best for the little one, to be back with his family. It was something that Tallulah really had to see happen. Not as though he could spend the rest of his life with a Merkora and a Khehora after all, they weren't exactly the best stand in parents for someone so little, especially given Eyphah's out look on things. One could only imagine what Nehelini might end up like if he were raised by the two of them Tallulah thought to himself, doing his best not to laugh at the mental image. No, he was a two-legs and as such he needed to be raised by other two-legs, so long as Eyphah didn't think to chew on him when he was older. Not as though Tallulah would allow such a thing of course.

Tallulah gave the little whelp a smile, "Of course, I am glad that we were able to help." He knew that there were those who didn't much care for Tallulah taking in the little whelp, Grrel for example, but he liked Nehelini, and leaving him alone in the desert wouldn't do. He needed to be looked after and kept safe until he could get back to his proper family. It was something that Tallulah didn't mind doing. He glanced in the direction that he knew Eyphah to be in, sure that he was about done with the food he was preparing, before looking back at Nehelini once more.

Giving a smile he said, "Of course I won't, I am right here. If you're still tired then you rest up. I will wake you once dinner is ready, alright?" He said, petting the boy's hair in a careful and soothing manner. The search for his family would start anew soon enough, as would hunting lessons, for the time being though it was sleeping that the little whelp needed the most.
