Troy laughed. "Of course you vere." He said, adjusting his accent to be thicker. "And I vas testing you. Are you really a neat freak?" He said. (By the way, if I typed it kind of awkardly, then just imagine it's in a german accent XD) He laughed at the last part, obviously it was a joke.

Raze'k stood, towering in the doorway to the cafeteria. He took a look around it's emptiness before spotting the Human behind the food dispensary. He slowly made his way through making sure not to headbutt the doorway on his way in. He approached the man and spoke in an echoing voice,

"Ikir al a vek? Arvashtu'l nek Avant? This where eat?" The last one showed a glimpse of understanding in the human, so he thought to repeat it,

"This where eat, yes? Understand, yes?"

He had been to so many worlds it was difficult to pinpoint a language based on physical appearance of the species. He only recently came to this world and already there were a multitude of languages. Most planets he'd been too were well developed enough to have adopted a single vocabulary.

A rather slight, dark-skinned figure was sitting off to the side of the goings-on, keeping to himself, dragging a pencil across the ruled lines of the pages in his notebook, the graphite leaving long, lazy gray strokes akin to the breathy trail of a moth's wings as it flutters through the night air. He did not seem intent on the idea of getting food; instead, there was a distinct air of a person who had nowhere else to be. That is to say, he could be anywhere else, but had no such desire to be. Here, entrapped between the long, straight edges of his paper was where he belonged; or, at least, it was where he belonged right now.

Intermittently, one person or another would approach his table, ask a fleeting question, make an ephemeral attempt at smalltalk, but they were all quickly driven away due to the same complication.

”Salaam," he would say. Most people seemed to be passingly familiar with this, but appeared to be taken off guard by ”Nemi-tonam zabaneh inglesi sohbat bekonam. Bebakhsheed.”

They would, invariable, become flustered, look confused; sometimes the more dedicated would take another stab at the effort, just in case, but eventually they all shrugged, turned away, and meandered back into the thin crowd of the room. He would always shrug in return, look acceptably apologetic, and then return to his writing. There were not many people in the school that were patient enough to deal with someone who didn’t speak their language, and although he had started studying English and felt like he had something of a grasp on it, his speech was still far too broken for him to attempt to communicate with strangers. He feared he would make a crucial mistake and embarrass himself, or he would be thought a fool.

It was of little consequence, since he was not a social creature at heart. He did yearn from time to time for company, but today was not, particularly, one of those times.

A shadow formed over Zane and the counter, and he looked up to see and hear a booming voice. It felt powerful but benevolent, like an NPC from a video game who would hand you a shiny laser gun.

"Huh?" Zane blinked at the Archon's words, unsure sure if there was something wrong with his ears or if the newcomer had a heavy accent. "Oh," Zane said at the words he could understand. "Yeah, you're in the right place, I suppose…" He wasn't sure who was more confused, him or this newcomer. For starters, did this guy even need to eat?

Zane took some time to digest the man's appearance, and concluded that he was a little disappointed. This guy was way too tall and big and metallic for Zane to consider duping. Instead of serving the man, as any ordinary lunch lady might, Zane attempted to peer around him and managed to spot someone sitting alone. He seemed like a feasible enough target. "Hey! Hey you," he called out to one of the students sitting at one of the tables busying himself with his pencil and notebook. "Come over here!"

Raze'k was pleased to hear this was a societal gathering place for consumption. He quickly went looking about the interesting items before him, but saw nothing that would appease his form. He moved his hand up to his head and mimicked a look of confusion in his eyes. His face made subtle ripples and the edges of a mouth formed to help his appearance. Unable to find what he needed he thought to talk to the human more. He was so occupied trying to decipher what was food he hadn't noticed the one call out to the other human.

"Does have carbon? Solid, Pure perhaps, yes?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 10, 2013 9:51 am

"Um, well," Zane started at Raze'k's request. Usually in the shows he'd watched, if he answered no, the newcomer would have shrugged and stuffed a chair in his mouth. Which wouldn't have been too bad in Zane's eyes. "I could get you a pencil if you're desperate, I guess. I hope you're not too picky about how your carbon is arranged."

He lifted the counter where it could to get to the other side. No lightning had struck him yet so he figured that he was still safe. Even after so long, he still didn't trust the school or his supposed "roleplayer". He wondered if the strange form before him was pulled by the strings of another "roleplayer", or if he might have been one of the so called "NPCs" he had heard so much about.

He waved at Raze'k to indicate for him to follow and then approached the guy he had tried to call earlier. "Hey, um, do you have a spare pencil I could borrow, er...have?"

Raze'k was delighted at the thought of anything pertaining to his quest for consumption.

"Is pencil good? Never heard of such an object! Is it like..." He paused for a moment to think before continuing, "Ti..tane..ium..?" He finished in a questioning tone.

He walked through to the other side of the counter, and found a clean spatula lying to the side, snatching it up.

"Is this pencil? Appears to be edible. It is thin and fragile."

He glanced back at Zane as he called out to the other human, asking for a pencil. It was obvious now that the spatula was not a pencil, and slowly put it back.

"Nevermind my query." He stated in a much quieter tone.

Shivering from the frigged air, Viktoria pulled the tattered crimson hooded cloak tighter to herself which draped from her shoulders. Just as she swore mother nature was going to win, she reached the doors the the Academy's cafeteria.

With weak and frozen hands Viktoria pushed open the door and entered. Light and sound spilled out into the cold and washed over her like a tropical breeze stunning her momentarily before she shuffled inside. Still shivering she let down her hood but kept her cloak wrapped tight as not to reveal the sword and wings beneath to the best of her ability.

Numbly, Viktoria grabbed a mug of what she presumed was Hot Cocoa and made her way to a table. She took slight notice of a group conversing nearby and a
'Neat looking metal creature? Huh..' She though idly to herself.

Aurelia Reinhardt took a deep breath. This snowy place was so not where she had been moments ago. Her armour was not made for winter - the metal seemed to suck the heat out of her, giving her a chill. Melting snow soaked into her boots as her breath formed a tiny cloud in front of her. Winters were short back home, and she hadn't been expecting this one.

Whatever, just go inside. Hopefully people won't try to kill you on sight.

Taking a deep breath, Elia pushed the door open and looked around. Light. There was so much light, but it was fake. She stared up at the ceiling - weird. This whole place was more than a little strange, but there were people around, at least! Aurelia took another step in and let the door swing shut behind her. Pulling off her gloves, she rubbed her fingers together. So far, so good. No one had jumped her, and she felt no need to draw her blade.

I'm off to a good start! Elia thought optimistically. I should find out where I am.

Spotting a woman in a red cloak sitting at a table, Aurelia moved to join her. She sat down opposite her and looked around.

"Hello. Do you... know what this place is called?" She paused. "I'm sure it sounds strange, but I've just arrived. I'm Aurelia, by the way. Aurelia Reinhardt."

Startled out of her daze by someone sitting down across from her, Viktoria managed to spill some of the hot cocoa she had been sipping onto her hands. She hissed as the hot liquid scorched her ever so slightly and let out a quiet curse.

"Guess that's something I'll have to get used to down here..." She muttered to herself before turning her attention to, what had she called herself again, Aurelia?

She looked up to meet Aurelia's gaze before realizing she probably hadn't thrown any magic over her own eyes to hide the fact that, you know, they were RED now...
'Oh well. Too late I guess' Viktoria thought.

"I take it you more or less ended up here on accident also?" Viktoria's raised an eyebrow as she asked this.

"Alas, I do know this place a bit however, since my travels have brought me here previously. You are at the SDRP Academy. More specifically, the cafeteria of the Academy." She smiled warmly and extended a hand towards Aurelia for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you, Aurelia, my name is Viktoria. I arrived recently myself. If you don't mind my asking, what brings you here?"

Scrunching up her eyebrows as the woman in red burned herself with her beverage, Aurelia tilted her head to the side. As the woman looked up, eyes red, Elia bit her lip in shock. The colour was certainly unique, for lack of a better term. The knight wondered if the coloration was natural, or if some kind of magic had done this to her. It would probably be rude to ask now. she thought.

Nodding in response to the woman's first question, Elia said,
"Yes. I hadn't planned to come here, honestly. But it seems nice enough..." She looked around the room. There weren't many people, but those that were there mostly seemed to be enjoying themselves. "An Academy, then? That's interesting."

Aurelia accepted the handshake. "It's good to meet you, as well. I was actually doing a bit of travelling when I..." She paused for a moment, contemplating how to word her little mishap. "I fell through a rift." It was best to just come out and say it, right? "I was actually on my way somewhere else when I ended up here. I was curious, so I decided to investigate. And what about you?" Folding her hands in front of her, Aurelia crossed her legs beneath the table, as much as her armour would allow. "Something strange must have happened to bring you here, eh?"

READ SPOILER xD
[quote="Maia_QQ]
bah sorry for taking so long. My family is weird and likes to celebrate the holidays AFTER x-mas... I feel guilty cause I was so mad that no one was posting and now I realize why. I forgot how draining the holidays were. I haven't had the energy to post!

Eying the black armor Aurelia wore, Viktoria could have easily guessed that she ended up here by mistake as well. Anyone in their right mind surely would have at least a cloak over themselves in that much armor. Second guessing her first judgment of the other woman, her thoughts drifted to the sword she carried on her back and she made a mental check of how much magic she could use without over exerting herself.

Just as quickly as she had though about it, the thoughts were dismissed.
No, if she was a demon or intended to hurt me or anyone else, I would have felt it...

Smiling and bringing the back of her hand up to suppress a giggle at Aurelia's response, Viktoria replied with her own story of how she ended up at the Academy.

"It's a rather long and boring story.. Some time ago I felt a disturbance here and asked to be sent here to investigate. Well... My superiors decided it wasn't worth looking into and I came here against their orders through a temporary rift that I had created. Unfortunately for me, that rift is now closed and I have no way home."

It would be rude to ask if Aurelia knew of any alternate portals that at least took me CLOSER to the Heavens... Maybe it would be best not to share that information just yet either way...

Viktoria shifted a bit, trying not to make it too obvious she was uncomfortable. Her wings were cramping and the sword on her back was starting to feel as if it's weight had tripled. It must be the atmosphere here, along with my powers weakening... She thought while taking another sip of cocoa. For a moment she wondered if she could find a way to use her magic to conceal her wings for long enough to remove her cloak and at least stretch them out. Or perhaps she could excuse herself to stretch them outside. She opted the second idea was the better one. Perhaps later though.

Zane was caught dumbfounded for a moment. Was his voice not loud enough? It occurred to him that perhaps this fellow was hard of hearing, or even purposefully ignoring him. He decided not to bother the quiet guy any further and moved on, waving at his new acquaintance to follow along with him. His feet were already guiding him in another direction when he caught sight of the spatula beside Raze'k and it occurred to him what the man was querying about earlier. "That's a spatula," he began to explain, when it dawned on him the implications of the situation. "You can eat that too," he said encouragingly at the man. Zane was almost a hundred percent certain the spatula played some role in his duties as kitchen lady, and jumped on any opportunity to throw a wrench in that plot. He could only hope that the man was not allergic to iron.

Zane's eyes travelled a small distance away, where to girls of peculiar appearance were engaged in conversation. He'd been in the Academy for a while now, surrounded for so long with new things he'd never experienced, but even so his hesitation around magical beings came to the forefront now.

The boy seemed distracted, though he allowed Raze'k to devour the "Spatula" as he called it. He was delighted to be able to see how it tasted. Lifting the item to where his mouth would be, a gaping chasm tore across his face and low, grumbling, metallic grinding sound was all that was heard as the spatula was no more and his face had already reverted back to normal.
"That was... good! Is there more material like this? Was different. Forged."

"You really are something," he said to Raze'k, without really bothering to spend the brain power to identify exactly what that something was. He was too busy admiring the gusto the being was putting into devouring the household object. It was almost like the spatula was being sucked into a black hole, one that even winked out of existence, to boot. Zane wondered briefly if he could ever muster the magic to make his mouth vanish like that if the need ever arose, not that he really wanted to to begin with. "Anyway, yeah... I'm sure there's plenty more metal lying around. Is there anything metal that you can't eat?" The comment of the metal being forged puzzled Zane a little - has this creature never seen a sword before? But at the same time, Zane didn't want to make the man - if he could be called that - sick. He was beginning to like this fellow; Zane tended to be aversive to any magical beings, but Raze'k was turning out to be a handy trash disposal unit.
