The swim back up was uneventful, but he suspected that was largely because he simply did not look behind him.
With any luck this would all blow over and soon enough he'd never have to do this again.

To top it off, whether it was his frustration or just the exhaustion of weeks of overwork and undernutrition, his carving efforts were decidedly... lackluster.
