"No ... wouldn't wanna disapoint." He smirked slightly as he ducked under a good bit of the other's next slice. He was so going to need someone to fuss over him after all this but at least he could put up a good fight until the end. Shouldering the other me brought his flail down against the other man's arm, one of the spiked balls striking home for once. Even if he was going down he was going to leave his mark. HP: 15/40 Damage: 4

A breath hissed between his teeth, but that was the only indication he gave that the flail had done its work, besides a nimble backing away. Inoke's opponent had not really risen up past a wary half-crouch for the duration of the fight--someone not charitable might have called it a cringe--and it was the more notable now. It didn't seem like Taym was half as sure as Inoke was about the outcome of this fight. When he slithered back into range he made a feint to one side and tried for Inoke's back, the shot landing although yanking the blade free and attempting to scramble out of reach again was probably enough time to rob him of the opportunity for a second backstab. HP: 27 Damage: 4

Taym might not have been all that sure of the outcome, but Peyton would have put money on the death training walking away the victor. He was doing really good. His apparent annoyance at her presence made her grin, and it only got bigger as he mentioned not wanting to let her down(anymore more then he already did).
Combined, it was enough to keep her from cheering at him out loud again, and instead she simply stood quietly on the sideline and watched.

The one stab was enough to send him stumbling forward, trying to twist himself out of range again and back to facing his opponent. For all that the guy had said he was bad at this, or at least gave the impression he was, he obviously knew something Inoke didn't He set himself down in a defensive crouch hoping that he could wait out the next attack and maybe if he started holding back a bit himself he could find a better angle for a proper attack. HP: 11/40 Damage: 0

It wasn't the best situation for Taym to get a strike in. He tried, and missed, apparently set on protracting this indefinitely good work Taym. HP: 27 Damage: :T

Rejam Maybe the dice will be nice for one good hit XD Taym missing gave him a bit of an advantage and he was able to clock the other man on the elbow. It wasn't the best shot ever but it could have been a lot worse. He could have missed. HP: 11/40 Damage: 3

xxGrymoire I'll roll back then XD omg Inoke could catch up with just a couple of really good hits! DO IT INOKE Which is what Taym did, immediately in return. He hissed a curse through his teeth. Whatever momentum he'd had from the start of the fight was running out. He was out of shape and already flagging, burning up all his energy in the first few swings and visibly starting to wear down. He missed on the back swing as his opponent flinched from his own hit. Stepping back he put his guard back up. That seemed to have worked a bit last time so maybe he'd keep himself from getting completely slaughtered. HP: 11/40 Damage: 0

Grymoire LOL I like how they've both suddenly lost the ability to hit the broad side of a barn. C'mooon Inoke hit himmm It served to make Taym leery, perhaps having convinced himself that he was being sharked, that Inoke was going, at any moment, to suddenly find some inner reserve that was going to make him hurt. He made half a movement to strike that ended up being a somewhat-transparent feint, an attempt to get Inoke on the offensive. Taym didn't feel comfortable there, that much was obvious. Add to that a sudden hand tremor that quaked the knife in his fingers, and he decided it was safer to react rather than initiate. "We appear to be at an impasse," he deadpanned in a murmur. He was inexplicably not OK with Peyton overhearing anything he had to say. HP: 24 Damage: 0 again

Rejam I think their spirits have given up XD As Taym went for him he knocked the other man's hand with the handle of his flail. Served him right for trying that one but he wasn't going to say that out loud. Not when he was afraid another taunt was going to get his head bashed in. "... just a bit of one." "Humor me," he suggested, the grin--or snarl, or whatever it was--resurfacing. Apparently Taym had had the same thought himself about deserving what he got. He needled back--the term was remarkably apt for the weapon--with a quick jab at Inoke's arm that wasn't meant to injure so much as it was to suggest that something bigger was waiting. He was a bit drunk, maybe, on his opponent's obvious caution. HP: 23 Damage: 1

Grymoire That would be the WORST POSSIBLE. Sadly apt, though lol Taym was clearly in a tit-for-tat mood, giving as good as he got and no better, flinching back from the flail and snaking back in. The lull was giving him an excuse to catch his breath, to regroup; whether he'd be able to do any good with it was anyone's guess. Fionnghal's humming intensity--charged, full of FEAR, fairly reveling in it--was an unnecessary distraction that wasn't helping matters at all. He didn't like her when she got like this. "I'm going to win this," he informed him lowly, flatly. It was an incredibly unsportsmanlike thing to say. HP: 21 Damage: 2

Rejam Pouring a lemon on the papercut would be the worst XD "Yea well ... that seems pretty obvious." He didn't know how much longer he was going to keep standing. Even with the hits having stopped he was still being knocked about a good bit and none of it was very pleasant. HP: 8/40 Damage: 4

Grymoire I keep waiting for Inoke to get a perfect 16 and suddenly it's down to the wire xD For whatever reason, that wasn't the answer Taym had wanted, and it was obvious in the sudden narrowing of his eyes. This time, when the blade sank in, he twisted it, and made the most of what was otherwise not a particularly impressive strike. And he didn't dance back this time. He stayed there, waiting for Inoke to yank himself off the blade. "Is it?" HP: 17 Damage: 3
